While the plan is about to commence, Ibate noticed Jiraya being suspicious and could bring a threat to their plan. So, he sent one of his new subordinates, Kurenai to prevent him from interfering. Meanwhile, Naruto, Sasuke and Shino return to the cottage to talk to Sin and her grandmother, in regards of the possessed villagers and to know what is happening in…
Cottage…
Naruto, Sasuke and Shino are sitting on the floor, as Sin brought everyone some tea, Sin's grandmother sat in front, facing them,
"It was very unwise of you to confront the Deceiver yourself, if it weren't for your friend here, you would've surely been captured and became one of his subordinates," she said to Sasuke,
"But there is a chance he is gaining more as we speak, and we need your help to stop what he is doing to control of the villagers," Sasuke said,
"We may have some supplies to free some, but unfortunately not enough to free many; we have to contact the other Sensors for their assistance," Sin's grandmother said,
"Wait, you mean there is more of you?" Shino asked,
"Oh yes, there are many of us in certain places, in case either us faces with the Head Demon once again," Sin's grandmother said,
"You dealt with him before?" Naruto asked,
"No, but my ancestors had," Sin's grandmother answered before she drank her tea, and then Sin brought the out a huge old book her grandmother requested,
"There is a history most people never knew, involving the demonic creatures living among you…" she opened the pages of the book,
"… and the answer to your questions," she said, Naruto remained silent as he, Sasuke, and Shino are about to listen to her.
Village, Bar…
Jiraya is having a nice time with the young blonde woman, having a few drinks and talking,
"I can't believe you were trained under the Third Hokage as one of his protégés," she said, looking amazed,
"Well I was taught by one of the best, which made me what I am today," Jiraya said with pride,
"I would love to hear all about your adventures you've been in," the blonde woman smiled,
"Well I would, but I should be leaving soon, there is some people I had to meet," Jiraya said as he's about to leave,
"Here go," the bartender said as he gave him another glass drink which stopped him,
"I didn't order it," Jiraya said to him,
"It's on the house, enjoy," the bartender smiled before he left.
"You sure you wanna leave, because the host here is promoting a free specialty tonight, and all drinks are free," the blonde woman said,
"That's strangely unusual," Jiraya said before he took the drink and gave it a taste, and then he smiled after that,
"Then again, there is no argument in free," he said, and the blonde woman giggled, unbeknown to him, Kurenai watches from the outside through the window, just waiting for the right moment.
Restaurant…
It has been over hour as Iruka, Kakashi, Gai and Asuma are still waiting for Jiraya to show up but still no sign of him yet,
"Are you sure he is coming, because its going to get dark soon, and this place is about to close?" Kakashi asked,
"I don't understand, it's very unlike Jiraya to be this late, he wanted to tell us something important in regards of the get together tomorrow," Iruka appeared confused,
"Is that right?" they all heard a voice as they turned their attention to Anko as she just approached to their table,
"You going to the get together tomorrow, because I know I am," she said.
"We're debating on whether or not we should go, we were supposed to meet Jiraya who wanted to inform us about it, but-" Gai said until Anko cut him off,
"I actually did saw Master Jiraya accompanying a young lady just earlier," Anko said,
"So, he's not coming then?" Asuma asked as he smoke his cigarette,
"Unfortunately not, but he did send his regards and encourage all of you to attend tomorrows get-together," she said,
"He said that? Because he said to me earlier-" Iruka said, until Anko interfered,
"A minor misunderstanding, and he highly recommend you attend there tomorrow," she said, Kakashi crooked his eyebrows,
"You okay, you seem a little different somehow?" he asked noticing she's not her usual active self,
"Never better," Anko answered with a smile, and before she opened her eyes, revealing her light-brown, paled eyes; thus, became Ibate's new subordinates.
Cottage…
Sin's grandmother begins,
"Over a century ago, there live two separate worlds between humans and demons, most demons are bound by their human counterparts, but they do not possess control of the bodies as they've been sealed away and trapped with human emotions. There are those who would try to gain full control of many human bodies, but were unable to because of us Sensors, who can sense demon present, prevent any of them to gain full control. However, there was this one demon who succeeded in obtaining full control of his counterpart's body; Akeeba Ronakasbi," she turned the page to reveal a sketch picture of Akeeba, which strongly resembles the current appearance of him presently.
"How was he able to obtain control?" Shino asked,
"Many demons attempt to gain control of their human counterpart's bodies through their mental thoughts, mostly whether they slumber or simply lose consciousness. But in order to gain full control, they would rid of the human spirits so that they will be the only one's to control the body," Sin's grandmother explained,
"By rid, you mean…?" Sasuke asked,
"Death. That is precisely how Akeeba obtained control, by manipulating his human counterpart to be led to his absolute death, with one spirit gone, the other remains behind," Sin's grandmother stated. Naruto sat silent after what she said, to think, a demon takes over a human body once the human gets killed or died, he couldn't even imagine that happening to him,
"But it doesn't end there, for he possessed such abilities than you may ever imagine," Sin's grandmother said as there is more to tell.
Back at the Bar…
Jiraya is enjoying another round of drinks, and being accompanied by the young lady,
"I'm having such a great time," the blonde woman smiled,
"You know, so do I, I've been through several places, but this actually feels nice," Jiraya said before his eyes slowly look down at her cleavage,
"Real nice…" he smiled, and then notice the blonde woman is looking aroused as she doesn't mind him looking at her that way, which did made Jiraya's smile slowly fade away,
"A little too nice," he said as his suspicion suddenly raises; usually most young women wouldn't be near an old 'pervert', and they usually slap him for looking at their cleavages. From that moment, he placed the glass down and got off the chair,
"You're leaving?" the blonde woman asked,
"Yea, I appreciate you inviting me for a drink but I really should be going now, maybe we can do this again another time," Jiraya said to her as he begins to leave, until he stopped when some people are blocking the exit,
"Would you all please step aside, I need to leave," Jiraya said to them,
"There is no reason for you to leave," he turned back to the blonde lady, as she got off the chair,
"You should stay, have another drink on the house, and we can talk all day if you want," she smiled. Though it wasn't long for Jiraya to notice her eyes are revealed paled-blue, and then soon noticed all the people, including the bartenders, looking at him with their paled-colored eyes, while surrounding him; no doubt about he was led into some trap, he should've known something doesn't seem right.
"What I want right now is answers. What the hell is going on and why are you trying to keep me here?" he asked while remaining calm,
"We are ordered by our master to keep you from interfering with his plan," the bartender said,
"Plan?! Are you referring to tomorrows get together?" he asked,
"There is more to the get together than you think, something big is going to happening very soon and our master doesn't want you or anyone to get in the way," one of the guys said while holding a weapon,
"And you believe you can stop me by keeping me here?" Jiraya asked,
"Almost, but he did order us to take you down in case you even think about trying to escape," the other guy said before pulling out a small blade,
"You all think you can take me down?" Jiraya appeared unafraid,
Break!
He turned back to the blonde woman when she breaks a bottle, now holding it at him,
"You have no idea what you're dealing with," she smiled evilly,
"Funny. I was just about to say the exact same thing," Jiraya said right before the people charged at him with their weapons.
Cottage…
"By the time Akeeba obtain control of the body, he sought out to obtain a hidden gateway, where it can open two worlds and merge them into one," Sin's grandmother turned the page where it shows another sketch, but an image of a circled gateway, revealing shadow demons in them.
"Apparently, he cannot withhold that much to power to unlock it, for he needs to seek out other demons that symbolize each key to unlock it," she said,
"How can he able to seek them since he's the only one who controls the body?" Sasuke asked,
"He has the ability to absorb away human emotions, enough for his fellow demons to obtain control of their human counterpart's bodies," she answered. Then she showed them the symbol around the circled gateway,
"Although, there are many demons all around, there are precisely seven demons that contained the symbols to unlock the gateway, such as; the Deceiver, the Beast, the Blind Gypsy, the Inseparable Twins, the Puppet Mistress, and lastly… the Red Temptress," she said, as she's referring to the emotionless children, Ibate, and Akalra.
Back at the Bar…
A guy was thrown against the wall and hit the ground, Jiraya stood among the injured people he defeated, very easily, barely even break a sweat, the fight only lasted five minutes, maybe less,
"Well then, this was a rather interesting event," he said before he turned to the unconscious young blonde woman that he knocked out,
"I appreciate again for inviting me for a drink, I should be going now, let's 'not' do this again another time," he said to her before he finally heads to the exit; hopefully to make it to the restaurant even though he is super late.
He grabbed the handle to open, he grunted when he suddenly felt something sharp, he almost thought it was splinter but hurts like a broken glass. He looked at his hand and discovered… three thorns, from a plant,
"What the hell?!" he replied, and then his vision became blurry all the sudden, and then this lower body became numb as he fell on his knees. From that certain moment, he noticed the door is morphing into a strange shape, a figure merging out of it, and by then the figure revealed to be… Kurenai, as she used one of her genjutsu on Jiraya to fall right into her trap,
"K… Kurenai, what are yo-" Jiraya tried to speak but then his upper body now becomes numb as he soon fell forward and hit the ground. Kurenai stood silent as she stared down at him with her emotionless expression, and revealing a throne vine plant wrapped around her right wrist, given by her master as he instructed her…
(Flashback…
Ibate presented his thorn plant vine wrapped around his wrist to Kurenai,
"Be sure to have him touch this, by the time he's pricked by these thorns, he will immediately become paralyzed and soon lose consciousness, he will remain paralyzed for precisely three days which should be more than enough time for that day to come. After the job is done, placed him somewhere far tonight, and make sure he remains out of the way from tomorrow. Can I entrust you with that Ms. Yuhi?" he instructed her of her task,
"I will not fail you," Kurenai replied before they 'shook' hands and the thorn plant vines quickly slithered towards Kurenai's wrist, all set to complete her task.
Flashback over…)
And she did; the young blonde woman was a red herring to lure Jiraya here, so if he were to leave or escape, she waits for him to touch the vines without him noticing her presents. Jiraya can barely move his body, he completely defenseless and he is slowly losing consciousness, he looked up at Kurenai, as he soon noticed how pale her eyes are like the people here,
"They got her… and she got me… damn it," he thought right before he finally blacked out.
