Daniel was striding purposefully toward the entrance of the Cobra Kai Dojo, but as he reached out to take the handle, he hesitated. What exactly was he planning to do? All he could think about on the drive over had been his disbelief at the degree to which Kreese would push his students which in turn fueled his anger. He hadn't actually decided what he was going to say or do when he got there.
Only now he was here. Kreese was a madman, or at the very least a very, very sick man. His influence had gone beyond creating bullies; what had happened tonight was borderline criminal. He had thought Amanda would have wanted him to go to the police, but given the general wariness surrounding all things Karate, and the way Kreese had manipulated the situation with the media, city council, and the police⦠Well, there was just no counting on the law to provide justice in this situation.
Having steeled his resolve, Daniel once more reached for the handle and opened the door. What he found when he entered was totally unexpected. As he walked past the painted phrase about 'no fear,' he could see the legs of someone prone on the floor. Rounding the corner, he was shocked and horrified to see Kreese with his hand around Johnny's neck. He was about to shout out to distract Kreese and possibly allow Johnny to get free when Johnny's hands dropped from Kreese's and his face went lax. He could just hear Kreese saying "This isn't how I wanted this to end," as he rushed forward, intent on getting Kreese away from the now unconscious Johnny.
Daniel kicked hard and Kreese, so focused on Johnny, was taken by surprise. He rolled with the force from the blow and came up on his knees to meet his attacker.
"You sent them to my house?!" Daniel shouted as he stepped around Johnny's legs, putting himself between Kreese and the unmoving Johnny. "You came after my daughter. You wanted a fight, you son of a bitch? Now you got one!" His stance was one of power; legs apart, chest out, and his finger, pointed at Kreese, punctuated his words. But Kreese wasn't looking at him, he was looking past him at, "Robby?"
"I told you," Kreese said, rising slowly into a fighting stance. "This was inevitable."
