ju-hkjv: Yea, I just thought I would have some character to not be the victims under Ibate's control, mostly out of luck without them knowing it, which makes things interesting throughout the story. Kinda like this update.
Inuzuka's resident…
Kiba and Arkamaru returned home as they're outside of the house, Arkamaru immediately sensed that similar demonic energy coming from inside the house,
Grrr!
Arkamaru started growling and backing away from the house,
"What is it?" Kiba asked him what's wrong,
Ruff-ruff! Ruff!
"What do you mean 'there's evil inside'? First you said about sensei being evil, now this, what's gotten into you?" Kiba said thinking his dog is being paranoid. He was about to head in, until Arkamaru grabbed his pants with his mouth, preventing him to go in,
Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!
Arkamaru while holding onto his master,
"What are you talking about? Of course, it's safe, unless mom is at it again, and you know how she can be on a bad day," Kiba said, before he kneeled down, and Arkamaru released him as he petted his head,
"Tell you what, how about you wait out here, and I'll go inside to make sure there is nothing evil there, okay?" he said to him, Arkamaru appeared reluctant at first, but he nodded his head,
"Good boy, I won't take long," Kiba said before he left to go inside, though Arkamaru appeared worried for his master for the evil he may discover.
Interrogation Headquarters…
Ibiki is walking down the hallway heading towards his while going through the files involving the emotionless children and their master by the time they were held in custody before they somehow escaped,
"None of this make any sense, there are no record of any of the children from here nor any other village, neither is their master, which… I can hardly understand his chakra whatsoever, and the canines started acting up whenever they're near him and the children," he pondered in his thoughts before he finally reached his office, he then spotted a cup on his desk, a freshly made tea and soon noticed the blue color. Ibiki glanced at it strangely as this seems out of the ordinary, nor did he considered the idea any of the staff members here would ever leave him a homemade tea on his desk, he picked it up and observed it closely, he then smelled it as it seems odorless but doesn't seem poisonous, and just when he was about to taste it,
"Captain!" he turned to Jounin who appeared at his office,
"It's the young boy from the fire incident, I think he's about tell us something," the Jounin said, which did caught Ibiki's full attention.
Back in the Inuzuka's resident…
Kiba entered his home, and soon noticed something is amiss, he is unable to pick up a scent from the other canines, which usually the first thing he would smell upon coming home,
"Hey mom… sis… I'm home," he called out,
"We're in here sweety," his mother answered, Kiba hesitated after what he just heard; his mom doesn't usually call him sweety? Kiba approached to the kitchen and saw Tsume washing some dishes and Hana making some tea. He soon discovered delicious homemade food on the table, including some beef and steak just the way he likes it, which is should be pleased yet uncertain, Tsume turned to her son with a loving smile,
"How was your day?" his mom asked,
"Not much, I ran into Kurenai-sensei, and she told me that there won't be training today," Kiba said, then his mother approached him,
"Well you can't be training too hard, which is why I made you your favorites, to show how much I love you," Tsume said before she gave him a hug, Kiba stood frozen nor did he returned the hug, shocked and horrified after what is happening; those are the things his mom would rarely say nor do. Just this morning she yelled at him to 'get his ass out of bed to get ready for training', like she always do, and now she's acting like a loving caring mother, when Tsume released him from the hug, Kiba stared at her eyes and noticed how pale it is, kind of like his sensei from earlier, then his sister Hana approached him,
"For you little brother, I took the liberty of fixing your jacket with holes in it from your last mission," she said before she handed him his folded jacket, he took it and looked at it, noticing the fine stitching she did, which made him more discomforting; his sister never sew like this!
"Arigato," he thanked his sister, before he also noticed Hana's paled eyes as well, which starting to freak out a little, but remain calm. Instead,
"Where is Kuromaru and the Haimaru Brothers? I'm unable to pick up their scent," Kiba asked them, they both appeared unfazed by his question,
"We don't know and we don't really care," Tsume said,
"There are nothing more than just foul creatures who either be put down or put to sleep," Hana said, Kiba became speechless after what they just said; how could they say that to their own canines, what the hell is wrong with them? Could Arkamaru be onto something, if so, how come he can sense it and he can't? Hana looked at her watch and turned to Tsume,
"Mother, it's almost noon, we should leave," she said,
"Where you going?" Kiba asked,
"We're attending a get-together at the Hokage Manor, and we don't want to be late," Tsume said before she kissed her son on his forehead, another thing his mother would never do,
"We'll leave you to enjoy this wonderful meal I cooked for you," Tsume said,
"And you should try this homemade tea, it is divine," Hana said right before they both headed to the door and out the house, leaving the shocked Kiba behind. He slowly sat down on a chair as his mind is still processing of what just happened, this morning they were their original selves, his mother stern and strict and his sister caring for the animals, but now their behaviors are different, not to mention their canines are nowhere to be found. Then he turned to the tea his mother made for him, just when he is about to reach for it,
"Kiba,"
Kiba startled when he heard a familiar voice,
"Kiba… we're outside," he got up and followed the voice as he heads to the back door, he soon discovered Kuromaru and the Three Haimaru Brother, along with Arkamaru who is with them,
"Kuromaru… where have you and the brothers been?" Kiba asked them,
"We were staying away from the evil that possessed your mother and sister," Kuromaru said,
"What kind of evil?" Kiba asked,
"They both consumed something that was given to them by the Hokage herself, we tried to warn them but they didn't listen, and then they soon a part of something demonic," Kuromaru explained,
"What did they consume?" Kiba asked,
"The tea. They both drank the tea which contained something evil and turned them into what they are now, which I'm sure you noticed the way they're behaving and how pale their eyes are," Kuromaru answered.
"I also did remember Kurenai-sensei mentioned homemade tea from earlier," Kiba stated,
"Do not drink the tea, we don't know what made it or why, but it is best for your sake to not eat or drink anything that may contains demonic evil until we figure it out who is responsible for it," Kuromaru said, although he has no idea what is going on, but Kiba decided to take his word for it, especially after
Back at the Interrogation Headquaters…
Ibiki is in the room where the busboy is, as he sat across from him to talk to him in regards of last night fire incident at the Groji restaurant, the busboy is still traumatized from what happened, but in given time he was ready to speak what happened,
"So you know who caused that fire?" Ibiki asked him,
"Yes… a young girl… with red-hair and paled skin," the busboy said,
"What caused her to set the restaurant on fire?" Ibiki asked,
"Because of me," the busboy looked down ashamed as he continues,
"I accidentally bumped into her and then a cup of left-over orange juice spilt on her arm, which burnt her skin, then her boyfriend tackled me and was about hurt me until she stopped him. Instead she wanted 'enlighten the pain I have bestowed upon her' just as her hair turned from pink to red and then set the whole place on fire with her-"
"Hold on!" Ibiki intervened,
"Repeat what you said about the color of her hair," he requested,
"From pink to red," the busboy repeated,
"So her hair was actually pink before it changed into red?" Ibiki asked,
"Yes," the busboy answered. After what he just told Ibiki, he was able to find a lead that involved the mysterious red-haired girl who was responsible for that alley incident few nights ago, and he can think of only one person in this village that has pink hair, he got up the chair,
"We're done here," he said, but just as he was about to leave,
"Could I have something to drink? I asked the other Jounins but none of them brought me any," the busboy requested, then Ibiki remembered the tea he was holding from earlier and brought it with him to talk to the busboy, since he never had the chance to taste nor is he really that thirsty,
"Here," he said as he handed the cup of tea to the busboy.
"We appreciate your corporation, you're free to go home," Ibiki said to him,
"Arigato," the busboy said before he started drinking the tea, just as Ibiki finally left the room, the busboy said after he drank the tea,
"Hm… strange aftertaste."
