Quinn's Dreams

Chapter 3: Nurse Tracie

Tracie and Noah were lying on either side of Quinn one night. Suddenly Quinn began moaning. Tracie was the first person up before Quinn yelled Beth's name. Dave soon followed Tracie back into the room. As Dave sedates Quinn, Noah holds her, and Tracie begins to sing Tomorrow from Annie softly to Quinn as Dave sedates her.

The sun'll come out

Tomorrow

The next morning, Quinn woke up and saw Tracie walk in with a breakfast tray. After putting the tray onto Quinn's lap, she says, "Nono and G' Pa went to see General Young. Dada and Papa are at work. Auntie Tana and Nana Carole went shopping. Nana Carole fixed breakfast and Uncle Dave helped me put it on the tray. Mama Rachel is coming with Aunt Beth soon. I asked her to, I thought it would help your bad dreams go away. Like the ones you had about Nono did." Then Dave came in to watch Quinn take her meds.

Tracie soon leaves to go watch cartoons and Dave says, "She was making sure we all stayed quiet to let you sleep. I guess, she's my boss for the day. Puck and Mr. H will be back later this afternoon. Mrs. H chose to go back to Santana's after last night, but they will be back with groceries. Rachel texted Puck, Tracie is wrong Beth refuses to come see you. Rachel did try to get her to come see you, but she won't. Beth said it was because she was pregnant, but Rachel thinks Beth is afraid to make you worse. Beth was really looking forward to seeing Junior and was excited that you were pregnant at the same time. Rachel said Beth will come to see you after her daughter Shelby Lucy Anderson is born. Ha, it's not Cooper's but Beth's ex-boyfriend's name is Charlie Anderson and he didn't want his daughter but Beth did. Ha, Mr. H was calling Puck Grandpa Nono as they left."

This makes Quinn cry before Tracie ran in saying, "Uncle Dave, go! I heard what you said! I told you to keep her happy! God, I'm two years old and you guys are going to drive me crazy!" This makes Quinn laugh, and Tracie rolls her eyes before saying, "Don't say it! I know, I know. I heard it all morning and that's why Nana Carole is going back to Auntie Tana's house. Everybody was saying it to her because of what happened last night. She'll be coming here every day, but she'll sleep at Auntie Tana's house. Dada is going too because I made him go. He made Nono mad talking about Nana Elizabeth. Uncle Dave knows more but I don't want you crying again."

The night before Beth's birthday, Quinn went to sleep in Tracie's room. Although she didn't scream, she did, however, cry in her sleep, and say, "What did I do wrong, God?" repeatedly. Tracie just holds her and starts singing Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds softly.

With tangerine trees and marmalade skies

With plasticine porters with looking glass ties

Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile

The girl with kaleidoscope eyes

This calms Quinn down and Noah texts Blaine saying, "The day Dave was sick Mr. H sang that song off-key to Tracie while you guys were out and Quinn told her that was her middle name. Blaine, Quinn was told she might not be able to have kids. Before she was released from the hospital after the miscarriage. Ha, I heard Kurt's reaction to me being Tracie's godfather. So did Mr. H and he thinks I'll be like he was before his heart attack. How do you feel about that, man?"

Blaine replies, "That's why I chose you and Quinn to be her godparents. Ha, I was watching End Game and Tracie said The Hulk reminded her of you. It was before you were found and after I saw what you did the day you were found. I thought you would be the best godfather for her. Ha, I used to call Tracie Lil She-Puck because she would clinch her fists and attack other kids that bullied her. Don't tell Kurt or Quinn this, but I was hoping we could be in-laws if Junior and Tracie fell in love. Tracie calls you her best friend and talks about playing the drums when she was bigger. You don't think...Never mind don't answer that. Well, goodnight."

The next morning, Tracie woke up to Quinn, hugging her tightly and crying. Tracie couldn't move and gasped out, "Nono! Anybody! Need help!" Before Burt, Dave, and Noah run in, to free Tracie from Quinn's grip. But Quinn wouldn't let go and Tracie gasps out, "Uncle Dave, sleep medicine, dummy! Hard to breathe! I don't want to kick her!" Kurt came in with the sedatives Dave needed and says, "Hurry, Tracie is about to pass out!"

As soon as Tracie was free, she whispered, "That's it! Someone call Mama Rachel! This is crazy! I could have died! She needs help and I'm only two!" Then she kicks Dave and whispers, "Do your job, you big ape! I'm not dying to help Queenie! Now, do your goddamn job!" Then Noah moves Quinn to their room as Tracie shoves Dave and Burt out of her room.

When Quinn woke up in her bed, she heard Tracie scream, "She needs help, Nono! I'm only two and she almost choked me to death! Find a way to get her help or I'm moving in with Auntie Tana and Auntie Brittany! I'm, only, two!" Soon Quinn went into the living room and said, "She's right. Look at what I'm doing to everyone. Kurt and Mrs. H can't sleep here with me still having nightmares." Then she looks at Tracie and says, "I don't want Blaine to lose Tracie." Then she goes back to her room and lays back down, just staring out the window.
