Chapter 15 Dark Danger

In Trolberg's library there was the underground tower known as the Witches Tower. At the very top or to be more technical at the bottom of the tower there was a portal that lead to a place called the Void of No Return. It was both a creature and a place and had been around for as long as anyone could remember. Long ago it had terrorized the land, until a group of powerful witches had captured it and sealed it within the tower. Over the years the witches had feed various things to the portal and even used the creature as a severe punishment to punish witches who broke the rules and committed serious crimes.

For a time the Void of No Return was content with it's captivity, but over time it got annoyed and began to remember things. The world he was in was not it's true home. It had ended up here along with a group of trolls that had traveled to this world and it had fought and devoured many trolls, until the leader of the trolls became a giant and chased it away. The Void of No Return felt a great deal of hate towards the trolls and the witches that kept it captive and began to try and figure out how to escape.

One day the portal had been left open a little too long and the Void of No Return had stuck it's limbs out and grabbed Lloyd the witch responsible for opening and closing the portal and had dragged him in along with another witch named Kaisa and two human children named Hilda and Frida. Lloyd remained trapped, but the others had escaped using a bit of magic to open a portal and lure a powerful plant creature called Triffid to the Void of No Return. Triffid had used it's vines to subdue the Void of No Return and the girls had escaped to safety.

Some witches had removed Triffid from the Void of No Return and the creature had eaten it's way through the vines, but before that it had infected Triffid with a small part of it's will and planed to use the plant creature to free itself. The Void of No Return knew it needed Lloyd's portal to open the portal to free itself and was making fast plans to free itself and get it's revenge on both the witches and the trolls. It was only a matter of time.
