Saintly Phantom Chapter 6

Felt I should do something a little less heroic

:Chapter Start:

Sharp's Mansion-Half hour since last Chapter

Danny while invisible climbed over the fence to Sharp's mansion in the suburbs where he past several dozen Roller Gangbangers as he reached the window of the mansion where he looks inside, seeing Price, Donny, Lin and an elderly man in a suit with a blue tie. Danny silently listened in as Donny spoke, "Price, Mister Sharp, this is Lin she saved my hide."

"I am the best driver to ever come out of China town," Lin simply states.

Price simply asks, "Then why have I not heard of you?"

"Because I have tits," Lin states.

Danny shakes his head as Price simply says, "Is that what those are?" only for Lin to punch him in the jaw removing a tooth. Price spat out the tooth before saying, "I deserved that for trying to be funny."

Donny then says, "Yeah, then when Lin punched you it was hilarious."

Lin just took a puff of her cigarette and crossed her arms in annoyance as Sharp simply says, "Price, don't you have a meeting to get too." Price simply nods before saying, "Donny, always a pleasure but in the future avoid inviting guests."

Sharp took a seat before Donny says, "Wait is Price going to get the supplies for buyers?" Lin was appearing silent.

Sharp simply says, "I don't know what you are talking about Donny."

"You know the special parts for those buyers overseas?" Donny continued.

Sharp simply says, "I don't know what you are talking about Donny," there was a venomous tone in his voice that got Donny to back off. Sharp then looks to Lin and says, "Is there something you want?"

"Yeah, stop being a complete dick," Lin states before walking away and says, "Come on Donny."

Sharp wanted the last word as he says, "Yes, run along Donny," Lin simply gave him the bird before walking away with Donny.

Danny for his part notices Price and quickly got in his car in time to hear him talk to his crew, "Look find the white trucks with the Mastsers Tech logo on the side I need the contents intact otherwise they will be worthless."

Price Hanged up and Danny punched him in the jaw removing another tooth and pushed him out of Price's car and drove out the gates before pulling out his phone and calling Troy, "Troy listen have your guys steal any truck from Masters Tech and hide them from the Rollerz."

"What is this about?" Troy asks.

"I just stole Price's car and overheard Price ordering his crew to steal these trucks," Danny states before almost accidently smashing into another Rollerz car. Danny says, "Whoever tuned Price's car needs to be run over!" he just narrowly avoided a car before crashing into the side of a Masters Tech and says into his phone, "I am taking my truck to the Bar," he hanged up and stumbled over to the other car before pulling out an obviously Robot Driver and then speeding away from the scene as they find Price's car and assumed that Price got that one and drove his car back to Sharp Mansion only to crash violently due to Donny's Modifications. Danny drove the first of three trucks to the bar and parked inside to find the Bar empty and heard Luz humming downstairs in the basement. Danny went back into the truck and had a look at the parts where he has a deep thought. "Wasn't?" he opens the boxes and sees what appeared to be car parts only they weren't. After closer inspection and some tests Danny discovered why everything was so familiar and pulls out his phone and calls Troy.

"Hey, Danny, my crew and I just got two trucks. Apparently there was three driving through town with specially ordered parts," Troy admits.

Danny simply says, "Troy, either destroy them or get them to me as quickly as possible," the seriousness in his voice was surprising.

Troy simply asks, "What is the problem?"

"It is ecto-plasmic based tech," Danny admits before saying, "Meaning someone went to a lot of trouble in either disguising it or this is what it was made for."

Troy was thoughtful before stating, "I will have the boys shift everything to a new truck and send over the gear to you. Don't want to risk my guys exploding." Troy hung up before Danny started moving the contents of the truck to the basement to be moved to the storage room. Danny does notice Luz was making what appeared to be lunch as she noticed him.

"Daniel, what is that?" Luz questioned.

"Some gear that the Rollerz had been sent to steal, only it is not car parts," Danny states as he place a box near the storage room. Danny then says, "I will be moving them into the Den, to go over them."

Luz simply asks, "Are they dangerous?" concerned with Danny's safety.

Danny simply states, "Well, they were probably made by a Fruit Loop so the question becomes what are they for."

With that Danny moved the equipment out the truck and down into the Den below where Tanya can be heard withering in place. Danny would later dump the truck outside Sharp's Mansion after dark. Danny would find nothing that could be tracked but noticed that inserting Ghost Energy appeared to make the gear work better then physically possible. Danny would claim the remaining boxes of gear that he snuck into the Den for examination later. Danny would return that night to find Luz serving drinks and apparently getting good enough to actually serving the correct drinks. Danny sat in his booth and eventually falling asleep for the night.

With Johnny and Vic-across town-Police Station

Johnny and Vic, with Johnny appearing more annoyed then normal as the two were wearing blue along with several other Saints so that the Rollerz would get the blame, as Dex and Troy suggested to Julius in order to ease up the heat on them. Johnny was annoyed as they used the same technique to mess with the cops, first kidnapping a news crew as they wrecked only this time they were wearing blue to mess with the last gang besides the Saints. Johnny watched as the car exploded against the police station before the truck they used to invade the Carnale's Drug lab was used to load up the drugs.

Johnny simply says to Vic, "I don't like this."

Vic nods before commenting, "Yeah, what is stopping us from pretending to be police officers and doing the same thing?"

Johnny shakes his head before saying, "Fuck that, I meant why ain't we shooting up the station killing everyone in our way?"

Vic simply says, "Perhaps because Julius wants this deal with the Columbians to work. Best way to do that is to get their drugs and be patient until everything is finalised."

Johnny simply says, "I still don't like it."

Vic nods before commenting, "Question becomes, where is the police?"

Johnny simply states, "Well I think I heard Troy make a prank phone call, something about the Rollerz running over cops."

The crew finishes up before Vic says, "You are going to do that now?"

Johnny smirks, "Of course," with that Johnny drove a car similar to Price's Racer which he used to run over a couple cops while shouting how the 'Rollerz' own this town. Ending their night by having the car jump into Sharp's Property with a barrel roll into the mansion's front yard around the time that Danny dumped the truck. The three then went to a strip club at Johnny's behest where Luz arrived and sat with Danny as she really enjoyed drinking and paying strippers. Though Danny was definitely embarrassed due to Luz eventually dancing with the strippers before making out with them. Thankfully Johnny could only shake his head before walking out to meet with Aisha who had questioned him with a simple answer, "I was just taking Danny to his first Strip Club, plus Luz does not appear to mind," at that point Luz was stripping herself. Victor was polite and focused else-ware. Mainly a couple blondes doing an erotic dance together.

With Lin-That Night

Lin enjoyed a smoke in her apartment Donny would be staying with Price at Sharp's mansion, which she was thankful for as she was really close to ringing Donny's neck when he commented about staying at Lin's without asking. Fortunately Price wanted Donny to be safe so he was heavily guarded, though Lin has an open invite to Sharp Mansion. Though Lin had heard that the transports were taken by the Saints that made her smile lightly, though Troy messaged her saying that the trucks were dealt with though he left a hint that they were destroyed, Lin frowns at that but accepted it. Lin finished her smoke and went inside her apartment and could only sigh they turned her water and power off the day before. Lin would not be able to get any of the Saint's cash flow until after she was done with the Rollerz.

Lin shakes her head thinking that she had no friends that would help her out without revealing herself to the Rollerz. Lin could only sigh before thinking aloud, "I should have just shot the two," she sighs and grabs some bottled water and used it for some basic hygiene maintenance.

The next day-The Church-Midday.

Julius had called for a meeting of Dex, Troy, Johnny and to Danny's surprise, himself as they sat around the meeting table in the back of the Church. Julius stepped inside with Emanuel and spoke up, "I just spoke with the Columbians and we have some good news, they agreed to accept only fifteen percent profit for the first five years, after that they will be getting half the profits."

Danny clapped silently while Johnny shakes his head not really caring before he asks, "That's good and all but we still have to deal with the Rollerz."

Julius states, "I am getting to that. For now, Danny," everyone looked to him and says, "Your my new second," everyone blinked at that with Dex appearing slightly upset but kept quiet as Julius continued, "You get things done and you have the crew's respect enough in this matter. So if anything happens to me, you are in charge."

Danny frowns before asking, "Is that really a good idea?"

Julius glared lightly at Danny, who shrincked back as Julius says, "Seriously Playa, you have earned it," Julius then looked to the others and says, "Now we still have the Rollerz left to deal with Lin has been somewhat slow with that."

Danny simply says, "Well she only got into the Rollerz Command structure and it has only been one day and we apparently already messed up a major deal for this Sharp guy."

"William Sharp?" Troy questioned, Danny shrugs not knowing the guy's full name. "He is a major lawyer in the court circuit. Apparently he was disbarred due to some case due to bribing the jury only for a Jurer to admit in court that everyone had been bribed."

Johnny simply states, "Yeah that was on the news a couple years back, it was a case against this Masters guy or something," Danny understood what he meant but kept quiet.

Emanuel raised his hands and says, "I am afraid that I should not be included in these talks. I will be going to the strip club, good day."

Emanuel walked away leaving the group to talk before Dex says, "Well we could probably give Lin a hand. I mean Danny Saint already stole Price's car once, nothing stopping him from doing it again."

Danny was silent before Julius asks, "Can you do it Playa?"

Danny paused before stating, "Well, when I drove it the first time it was almost impossible to drive straight," everyone blinks before saying, "Probably could set it in reverse and it would go forward."

Everyone looked at him strangely before Julius comments, "Well, feel free to wreck said car then."

Johnny then comments, "Well that's all good, but I am bored."

Danny frowns before commenting, "Then go after their Chop Shops and Mechanics with your crew."

Johnny blinks and chuckles before saying, "Good idea, the crew and I will enjoy that."

Julius frowns before Troy comments, "There is a couple Races that the Rollerz are still holding around town, though they are still ordering their cars from out of town. No idea why."

Dex states, "If we get one of the cars we can probably check."

Julius nods before commenting, "Well Danny, after you send Price's car on a joy ride you should look into getting a new car."

Danny nods simply before commenting, "I can see what I can do, Julius."

Julius simply nods in agreement before commenting, "Well you all have an idea on what needs to be done get to it," everyone left quickly. Only Dex stayed behind causing Julius to ask, "What are you doing Dex?"

Dex simply asks, "Why did you make Danny your number two?"

Julius paused at the answer before stating, "I see a little of myself in him and because his rep has sky rocketed. Especially when Johnny gave him a name."

"Johnny had no right to do that," Dex states getting a glare from Julius.

Julius simply says, "Sometimes the heat of the moment sets the tone for the Gang. Plus Danny is not going to have the Gang killing everyone they meet."

Dex simply says, "Okay Jules, I better help out Troy." Julius shakes his head in disappointment, Dex was not in this for the long haul and Julius noticed the business card Dex had been given. Which is what the Saints truly needed at the moment. Julius next thoughts were of the rest of the team, Johnny would be happy with someone to shoot at, Troy is determined to protect the Row and finally Danny was loyal but a flight risk if what Julius knew of the kid.

With Danny invisible in Sharp's Property-Hour later

Danny was invisible as he set Price's car to drive away on it's own, after Donny had apparently fixed the car after the day before. Danny notices Lin's car before she steps out and heads to the front door. Danny turned invisible and followed her inside where Donny arrived to spend time with Lin, Donnie led her into the house and sat near where Sharp was talking on the phone with his buyer about a delay in getting the parts to them. Donnie pulled out some weed that he folded into a cigarette and lit it up on the couch and offered some to Lin, who smoked some and had to hide a frown but pretended to get high on the literal grass that Donnie had been sold. Donnie appeared doped out as he sat in the chair with Lin appearing to just sit with Donnie. Donnie took another puff before offering it to Lin who did politely declined another puff. Donnie simply starts a conversation, "You know what I hate, Under-Glow, that stuff is tacky."

"Whatever," Lin states, "To each their own," Lin comments in a mock toast as she actually believes that each street racer is one of three types, Hardcore racer whose car is completely designed for racing, the Egotistic ones who want to look good over racing, and everything in between. Lin then asks, "So what do you drive?"

"I don't have a license," Donnie states unknowingly pissing Lin off even more though she got a chuckle when somehow the couch he was on suddenly flipped back on him. Donnie dropped the smoke on the ground causing to stand and step on it before it could destroy the tiled flooring that Sharp was somewhat thankful for that. Donnie stands and takes a step and trips over again with his shoe laces tied together and tripped several times before thinking to look at his feet.

Lin concealed her amusement while Sharp was silent until Price entered the room and Sharp asks, "Joseph, What happened?"

Price with a black eye simply says, "The Saints heard me order the crew to steal the trucks, before knocking me out and taking my car. Donnie only finished fixing it this morning. The crew is trying to find out how they got in. If you think it was with Lin's car, that is not the case as the crew kept an eye on it the entire time it was parked in the yard."

Sharp then says, "Then we have a problem. The Saints have caused us problems that could end us."

Price simply says, "Don't we will get the parts another way."

Sharp simply says, "Another convoy like that will not be driving through town for another year. I was only able to get an extension of one week."

Price simply says, "We will find a way."

Donnie walks up and says, "Me and Lin can find a way to get those parts."

"Lin and 'I' Donnie, your vocabulary always grates my nerves," Sharp states in annoyance.

Donnie simply says, "We got this," before walking away with Lin only to trip on his shoelaces. Danny followed them and proceeded to whisper into Donnie's ear of how they needed to steal cars, specifically older model cars that had parts not related to the shipment and would be worthless to strip for parts, as he made the list. Lin found it strange and yet realised that Donnie was probably a bigger hindrance to the Rollerz then she was planning to be.

Danny left while invisible and intangible and did his job of sending Price's car for a solo trip forward only when he hit the accelerator with the car in first it sped backwards with Danny turning visible as the car wrecked the party dining room before being spotted Danny gave a quick wave to Price and Sharp, along with a returned Donnie and Lin before Danny ran off quickly and threw the gates as some Rollerz were rushing inside to find the damage. They were too dumb to realise that Danny ran right past them. And when Sharp and Price shouted at them to kill Danny, he was long gone. Later Lin would watch as Donnie explained their shared plan only for Lin to state, "It was Donnie's plan, I was not informed of the contents of the trucks." So with that Donnie gave Price a list of cars that had the intended parts for them to steal and strip, he thought it strange the vehicles that were asked but trusted his friend. Price orders his crew to find the cars in question before the Saints got nosy.

Later on-With Danny and Johnny-Danny's Den

Johnny walked into Danny's den elevator with a couple beers and a couple sodas for Danny. He used the manual winch to lower himself down into the Den where he could see Danny examining the different components stolen from the trucks before he used them in his after checking for anything that could lead others to him, he was yet to find anything even when he phased into the items in his search. Danny though had almost finished his car as he removed all the scrap metal he had been using as an outer skin. Johnny spoke up, "Oi Danny, thirsty?"

Danny looked up from his pet project and says, "Sure," and joined Johnny on a pair of beach chairs with wooden spindle acting as a table.

The two sat in silence for a minute before Johnny Gat broke the silence, "So, part of the crew and myself managed to raid a couple dozen chop shops. How was taking out Price's ride?"

Danny sighs and says, "Well this Donnie guy, made first gear reverse, so when I sent the car driving it crashed in front of Price and Sharp, while Lin and Donnie were in a different room. Gave an awkward wave before running past a bunch of Rollerz who were coming in to see what happened. I ran a block before changing in an alley and flew here to get away," Danny states before opening his drink before commenting, "Luz came down to feed Tanya, though I am not sure what," they looked towards Tanya's cage and she appeared out of it and untied.

Johnny frowns before commenting, "Well tell Luz if she ever gets bored with her, she could rent her out or something. Anyway," Johnny changed the subject not really caring, "Anything else happened at Sharp's?"

"Well I Donnie made a plan to chop the parts from cars they need for their buyer, problem is that now they are stealing lemons for the wrong parts," Danny raised a manifest that he took from sharps office before commenting, "He had the file open on his computer, promise me that you will never have the pass word for anything be 12345."

Johnny chuckles before saying, "Obviously. I only have one password and it will only be known to me and Esh."

Danny simply says, "Her birthday?"

"Fuck no, a date that only us will remember so don't try to get it out of me," Johnny states.

"It was the first time you two had sex," Danny states in a disbelieving tone.

"Damn straight," Johnny chuckles with his answer before commenting, "So what you planning to do once the Saint's own this city?"

Danny frowns before admitting, "Well once everything is calm I will probably just spend time with Luz. The question though becomes what happens after we take over the city."

Johnny thought on this before asking, "Then what do you think?"

Danny thought on this before saying, "Well the protection rackets, what if they were actual protection. Like we set a monthly price and make sure the crew actually pay full price that way we could launder the cash flow from everything."

Johnny blinks before commenting, "Damn, that would actually mean we could have the shop keepers on the payroll. What else you got?"

Danny squints in thought before suggesting, "Well, really we would need to have someone in the Mayor's office that supports our way of running things."

Johnny shakes his head, "The vote is in a couple weeks, we would have to wait till the next vote."

Danny nods before commenting, "Dex would probably enjoy being Mayor." Johnny nods in understanding before Luz came down wearing a dominatrix outfit.

Johnny paused at the sight before standing and says, "Nope," heading for the exit while Luz walked past Danny kissed his cheek before going to mess with Tanya. Johnny from the Elevator simply says, "She must have a hate boner for Tanya." He shakes his head and leaves. Danny returns to his car while in the back ground Luz teaches Tanya her place.

With Lin-a couple days later

Lin was at Sharp's Mansion on a balcony as she smoked with Price talking to his uncle behind her about getting all the cars but needing a place to chop the cars up as Johnny Gat had destroyed them all. Sharp states, "Then use the garage here. Move your cars into storage if you have too!"

Price simply says, "Of course. Once we have the payment I will have the crew burn the Row into the ground for messing with us."

Sharp rolled his eyes before Price walked out the room and Sharp comments to Lin, "It appears that Donnie's plan worked. A surprise that I never expected," he looks to Lin and says, "Which means that it was probably your plan that you gave Donnie."

Lin simply states, "It was all his, if you are implying that I did make those plans why would I bother covering for Donnie?"

"He was your in, If the plan fails how can you be trusted," Sharp states before leaving.

Lin walks out the room heading for her car as Donnie stopped her asking, "Want to watch some chessy comedies and get drunk," he smirks before Lin shakes her head.

Lin says, "I got to get to China Town promised my grandfather to visit him," Donnie was about to invite himself when Lin stopped him, "You have to stay here under guard, or do you want Johnny Gat after you?"

Price walked up to them and says, "Yeah Donnie, let's play some pool." The two went to the pool room to have some fun.

Lin walked to her car to see some Rollerz trying to break in only for Lin to break a couple faces before driving towards China town. Lin was about to enter the area when she pulled out her phone and called Danny and says, "Look meet me at the Green Dragon Tea House. Don't be late."

Lin drove and parked her car near the Tea House where she ordered a drink while behind her in an old Japanese man looked to her appearing annoyed. Twenty minutes later Danny arrived and sat with her and comments, "Sorry about the car it was meant to go forward," the old man from before narrows his eyes at Danny.

Lin simply says, "No, that was funny and more evidence that Donnie cannot be trusted with a car or a tool for that matter." Lin lights another cigarette and says after a puff, "Look we need to look at nailed the last nail of the coffin. Trouble is Sharp has a buyer that no one knows who except Sharp."

Danny nods before commenting, "Those parts we stole was not normal parts in that they were one of a kind. Not even taking the same looking parts from cars can replace them."

Lin frowns before asking, "How could you know that?"

"The buyer is an old stalker of mine," Danny states before commenting, "And a Frootloop. Either way, what is the next step?"

Lin finished her Smoke before saying, "Well, I have the address to where Price is putting his cars in storage while they use Shape's Garage to chop up those cars."

"So steal the cars?" Danny asks before thinking and says, "Or we chop them up," Lin smirks at that.

Lin says, "Have some guys help you out."

Danny nods before saying, "Well then I will ask the mechanics to keep the hood ornaments and license plates. Mail it to Price," Lin had a good laugh at that, "Maybe add a ransom. Like those old films where they send a cut off finger."

Lin let out a laugh that Danny considered cute before she glared at Danny and says, "Never tell anyone about this," Danny nods in understanding before Lin says, "I will call you for when you can send the parts."

"I will make sure you get a cut," Danny states with Lin nodding only for an young Chinese man to walk over to the pair.

The man says, "The owner wishes to speak with you two," Danny was nervous while Lin rolls her eyes. The two follow the young man into the private area where Danny sees an elderly Chinese man where the young man stands behind while Danny and Lin sat opposite the elderly man who starts speaking Chinese while the young man translated, "I am Mister Wong the man behind me is my translator."

Danny looks between the two and asks in English, "I am Danny, this is Lin."

"I know of you mister Saint," The translator translated the Chinese spoken, "You defeated both the Vice Kings and the Carnales. I have a list of those that need to be spoken with," Danny flinched at the Translator before Mister Wong shot him.

Danny says in perfect Chinese, "Was that really necessary?"

Mister Wong and Lin blinked in surprise before Mister Wong spoke in English, "I wanted them killed, not talked too." Mister Wong placed the list in front of Danny.

Danny spoke in Chinese again, "We should continue this in Chinese. You want me to kill a bunch of people?"

"You are correct," Mister Wong states with certainty.

Danny looked at the list before saying, "Um, what if I brought them to you. So that they know who wants them dead?"

"That is acceptable," Mister Wong states before looking to Lin, "He is smart, Worthy of your hand, Grand Daughter." Danny blinks at that while Lin glares.

"Fuck You," Lin states before walking away from her laughing Grand Father.

Danny frowns before informing Mister Wong, "I am in a relationship already Mister Wong."

"One with your power should not worry about only having one bride," Mister Wong states surprising Danny, "After all, The Legendary Great One, neither Dead nor Alive can truly be satisfied with only one lover either Dead or Alive."

Danny felt uncomfortable before he says, "I better get started on this list, and another Job Lin gave me," With that Danny left quickly while Mister Wong simply smiles remembering the stories of his Youth of a warrior of Spirit that fought to protect the Monks against an evil spirit. It looks like his line would finally be free of their debt.
