Author's Notes

Yo people! StarDragon001 is back with another chapter! You guys are as supportive as ever, so thank you for taking your time out of your day to read my fanfiction! I know I say that a lot, but I really do mean what I say. Anyways, after this chapter will be the graduation chapter and after that it will be part two of arc one, the Ninja Academy Arc! This story is now technically a pseudo-crossover between Nox and Naruto as I mentioned in the last chapter. Sorry that I haven't updated this story in a while, mostly been focusing on a new fic called 'Rise of the Nephalem'. From now on, I'll be updating the two stories back-to-back!

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto; it is the property of Masashi Kishimoto. If I did own it, it would be a little like this story. Also, the OC characters that will be introduced later in the series belong to me. Nox is also not owned by me, it's a game owned by Westwood Studios and EA.

Arc One: Ninja 101

Chapter Three – A Day In The Life Of Naruto

-Kitsune Family Residence, The Next Morning-

The multi-hair coloured kitsune groggily started to stir, at the same time his senses adjusting to the early morning. However, he hissed slightly as the bright rays of sunlight stung at his eyes before on instinct they shut to protect themselves. As they adjusted, the curious fox opened them again to see that he was in his bedroom. On his bedside table there was a small potion bottle with strange blue liquid inside that gave off a soft blue hue. As he slowly drifted his head to the left, the purple-eyed kitsune witnessed his father staring out of the window with a worried expression. Once the said father sensed his waking kit, he immediately swivelled his body one hundred and eighty degrees and rushed over to his side as fast as possible.

"How are you feeling, son?" Kurama asked as the usually happy little fox struggled to look at his dad.

"I can't… really explain… tou-chan" Naruto struggled to say.

'I see… a pain he never experienced before' The great fox thought to himself before he gently smiled.

"It's going to be alright my little kit, just hang on okay?" Kurama reassured as the child struggled to nod his head.

"Where's kaa-chan?" Naruto groaned out his question to the red head who continued to give a soft smile.

"She's on her way up right now, there's no need to worry kit" Kurama answered as he stroked his son's head gently. As if on cue, the mother of the small family entered the small kit's room with a food tray in her one hand and sat down on a chair opposite to the great sage. When the white-haired goddess scanned over her child, she gave a big sigh of relief as she put her hand on her chest.

"Thank goodness you're awake" Inari sighed as she started feeding the multi-haired kit, who took the food with a quiet thank you.

"I thought you were never going to wake up" She said with worry, while Kurama wondered over and started comforting her.

"He is fine now, Inari-hime, although, he feels kind of sick. He can't explain the feeling" The husband said as he continued to comfort his love.

"I see… it's possible that kind of feeling is a sort of sea-sickness" Inari theorised as she finished feeding her kit.

"It's possible" Kurama agreed as he saw her grab the potion bottle and brought it up to the multi-hair coloured boy, who instinctively turned his head away slowly from the medicine.

"You have to drink this Naru-kun, do you want to get better?" She gently reprimanded him, who nodded in return and started to drink. The moment Inari took the bottle out of his mouth, the fox-boy instantly scowled at the taste.

"It's for your own good Naru-kun" Inari said with a smile, while the kit pouted in return.

"Seems like he's feeling better" Kurama said with a grin.

"Mana potions always work like a charm" She said as she returned her own.

-A Few Hours Later-

The fox kit was wandering around the house with the help of his mother; however, he still is slightly unsteady. On the plus side, he was getting happier every single hour that passes. The small family decided that they would hang out in their garden today, and from then it went from Naruto telling his story of his first day at school and of course the question that has been bugging the purple-eyed kit for quite some time.

"Kaa-chan, tou-chan… what can you tell me about the families of this village?" Naruto asked his parents.

"What brought this on all of a sudden Naruto?" Kurama questioned him.

"I met some of the family kids today and we all became friends" The kit answered with a smile, while the parents beamed.

"That's great that you made friends Naru-kun! You usually are so shy to hang around with new people" Inari explained while Naruto slightly blushed in embarrassment.

"Well, I could tell you the basic history about this land Naruto, in a way you could understand" Kurama started, while the fox kit listened carefully. He always loved to learn new things, as long as it would be something he would enjoy.

"Let me start with the creation of the Kitsune village; A long time ago, there was a great civil war between the youkai in the Land of Magic. It went on for centuries until a young fox ultimately stopped it with just a single wave of his hand" The great fox started before the goddess interrupted.

"Aren't you talking about yourself a bit too much Kurama-kun? A bit too… dramatic" Inari deadpanned while the husband face faulted.

"Come on Inari-chan! Did you have to?" Kurama complained, while the kit just giggled lightly.

"Alright, let me do it this time" The wife of the family said as she cleared her throat and began to speak.

"During the civil war between kitsune in the Land of Magic, a young fox confronted the tyrants that ruled over the species of Youkai singlehandedly. Overthrowing them and becoming the first great sage. The rules and politics were changed so that all youkai could have equal rights, and eventually, two very important kitsune families moved in to represent the village we know today" Inari explained while Naruto gained stars in his eyes.

"Who are the two families and who was the first great sage?" The hyperactive fox boy asked his questions while the two parents smiled.

"The first two families that represented our village were the Kaizo and Shisu families, while the first great sage, and always will be yours truly" Kurama answered his questions while Inari deadpanned at his answer.

"Really Kurama-kun?" She replied while the fox himself sweat-dropped.

"What? Is there something wrong with that?" Kurama questioned her.

"No… It's just that, sometimes it is not right to boast your achievements like that. I know that you are prideful and all, but you have to remember your manners, especially when we have a kid still maturing. It's not the real you" Inari sadly replied while the great sage looked on with guilt.

"Listen, I apologise… I shouldn't have-" Kurama started before she stopped him by placing a finger on her husband's lips.

"It's okay my dear, just don't let pride take control of you again okay?" Inari scolded the red head as she released him and continued to speak.

"So, anyways kit, as Inari-chan was saying earlier; The two great families and I united all the fox youkai together, creating the village we know today, living in peace and harmony" Kurama finished while Naruto gained stars in his eyes before ultimately calming down completely and asking one more question.

"Can you tell me about the Dojutsu of the two families?" The multi-hair coloured kitsune asked before Inari replied.

"The Dojutsu of the Shisu family is known as the 'Daisan'nome', or the Third Eye; They are able to use the powers of telekinesis, teleport, the ability to fly, see into the future, possession and their illusory prowess is off the charts. However, the Kaizo family possess the Dojutsu known as the Blood Eye, or the 'Buraddoai'. Once activated, they will be able to control blood at will. In other words, they are of a vampiric family bloodline" The goddess explained while the kit widened his eyes at this new knowledge.

"Does our family have a Dojutsu?" Naruto asked. Although the two parents have looked at each other and ensued a silent conversation and agreed with a simple nod.

"Unfortunately, we are not sure, however, it is a possibility" Kurama said, while the purple-eyed kitsune gained a slight a hope in his eyes.

"Anyways, I'm going to go and start making dinner, it's getting late" Inari said as she stood up and went to go to the kitchen, while Kurama and Naruto followed so they could help out as well.

-The Next Day, Ninja School, Class 105A-

"Hey Naruto! You feeling okay man? I've heard everything from teach!" Yozu shouted as he caught up with the purple-eyed kit.

"I'm alright Yozu, thanks for your concern though" He replied with a grin as they entered the school grounds and located their homeroom classroom.

"No problem man! Say, I wonder what we will be learning about today?" The jolly kitsune thought in curiosity.

"I hope it's something new and interesting, because I'll fall asleep if it's boring" Naruto said as they sat down together at an empty table near the back.

"I totally agree with that statement" Taida said as he walked in with Kinua in tow and sat right behind them.

"Hey Kinua! How are you feeling? Is everything alright?" The multi-hair coloured kit asked as the latter looked at him with a true smile.

"Oh yeah! I feel better than ever after you've gotten rid of that rogue youkai that's been haunting our family for quite some time! Everything's alright now dude" Kinua said with confidence.

"That's good to hear" Naruto responded. As the classroom full of students were idly chatting with each other, including the seven family kids, Kinzoku and Bruno walked in making everybody suddenly turn their heads to their senseis.

"Good morning Bruno-sensei, Kinzoku-sensei" The students bowed in unison respectfully, while said teachers nodded to each other in a silent conversation.

"Good morning everyone, I have prepared a few activities for our first class together. Everybody to the locker rooms! We are going to the training yard today for physical education" Bruno grinned in excitement as everyone started to file out of the class.

"What are you up to Bruno?" Kinzoku asked him curiously, while the latter continued to grin.

"Since this is our first class together, why not do something fun yeah?" He replied while the bored assistant sighed.

'This is going to be a long day' Kinzoku thought to himself as they both left for the field.

-Training Yard-

"Alright class, first things first. Before we move on to the complicated stuff, we need to warm up" Bruno started as the students gained confused expressions.

"To put it simply, you have to do some exercises before moving on to taijutsu practice and learning to focus your chakra and yoki" The assistant explained as all the kits gained knowing expressions across their faces.

"Now then, you see that running track over there? Five laps, followed by ten push-ups and sit-ups, go!" Bruno shouted as everyone followed his orders and started their exercises.

"Do you think they'll be able to do all of that?" Kinzoku questioned with a follow up nod from the instructor.

"I believe that they will be able to, they're hyperactive little kits with lots of excess energy that needs to be burned off" Bruno answered while the assistant nodded.

From then on the class went on for at least an hour and a half, ranging from taijutsu practice and sparring, chakra control exercises as well as finding out everyone's elemental affinities through the use of chakra paper; to which Naruto found out that his elements are all equal in power, though fire is his main element. When he tested the chakra paper with his mana, he found out that his primary element is water while secondary was wind. With yoki, it was primary lightning and secondary earth. All of them were interesting combinations. In the end they had to pass an obstacle course that ranged from dodging traps of shuriken and kunai launchers to jumping over moving obstacles on a small wooden platform they had to run across. Everyone had to beat the fastest time of 20s, and the students made it a competition to who can be the fastest. In the end, it was a close call between Naruto and Kinua, who were both sweating like mad, though the purple-eyed kitsune was the victor with a total time of 16s.

"Damn, you beat me… though this isn't the end Naruto!" Kinua declared with a grin as the multi-hair coloured kitsune returned his own before bumping fists.

"Sure, Kinua" Naruto responded as they both collapsed. From there, a friendly rivalry was formed.

"Alright kits, since you all had fun, I think it is time for a cooldown before your next class yeah?" Bruno asked as everyone nodded in agreement.

-Alchemy Lab, Class 203C-

"Hello everyone, since you are all here, let us begin the class" Inari said as she gave a smile to everyone, especially her son.

'Kaa-chan?! What the heck are you doing here?!' Naruto sweated slightly as he listened to her give the lecture on theory and ingredients for different kind of potions. For some students it was hard to listen, since they thought it was boring, though those who defied her rules got enchanted by a spell from her glowing golden familiar that forced the unwilling kits to listen to her lesson without going to sleep.

'She's ruthless' The multi-hair coloured fox thought to himself with a deadpan look. However, as he continued to listen, he grew so interested in this particular subject that Naruto did not realise that it was over already.

"Alright, now it is time to get to your alchemy stations that I've assigned you and try to create a healing and mana potion before the end of the lesson" Inari instructed as everyone chorused a "Hai!" and went off to their stations, all but one who was writing down notes.

"Naruto, you should get to your station" She reminded him with a tap to the purple-eyed kit's shoulders, making him jump in the process.

"Sorry kaa-chan, I just got so interested that I wasn't paying attention" He whispered to his mother as she smiled and nodded her head.

"I knew that you would love this subject Naru-kun, that's why I suggested it for the school" Inari whispered back as she walked off to check on the other kits and the golden tailed kit decided to go to his station to start creating the assigned potions.

As Naruto stood at his assigned section of the alchemy workshop, there is already a set of vials prepared for him that have glass cables attached to them. It all seemed to be empty, however, the purple-eyed kit then saw the ingredients already laid out for him as well; Different herbs, fruit, and a few vegetables to start off with one seasoning.

'I've heard Alchemy is interesting and extremely difficult to master, however, I am going to do this' He thought to himself as he started to mesh together the mint, sage and the peeled apples to create a paste for the healing potion before adding in the water. Soon after he has done that, it was added to the brewery as it started swirling around in a circles between the different sections. Naruto was mesmerised by it, though he couldn't stare like that at it for long. The multi-hair coloured kit then did a quick glance at his notes before nodding to himself at what he had to do next.

'Alchemy is my new favourite thing' Naruto smiled to himself as he washed the bowl and put in the sugar and the red colouring powder which mixed together in an instant before he put it into the brewery and watched it mix with the rest of the ingredients, turning it a crimson red in the process.

After the practical section of the alchemy class was finished, everything they did was revised with a quiz at the end before the bell rang.

"Alright everyone, this is the end of the class. If you want to learn more about this topic, then please speak to your home room teacher if you could join the alchemy club starting soon" Inari said with a smile as all the kits sighed in relief as the lesson was over.

-Period Break, School Playground-

"Your mother is ruthless Naruto… sheesh" Kinua said as they relaxed on the playground, with the purple-eyed kitsune and the psychic girl on the swings.

"Well, I wouldn't say 'ruthless', more like, how should I say this? Trying to teach everyone to be more responsible" Naruto countered.

"Stop being such a goodie too-shoes man, so troublesome" Taida replied as he yawned soon after.

"I have to agree with the genius here" The vampiric kitsune said.

"I suggest that we play ninja, without using special abilities, however. We have these paper shurikens and kunai, whoever gets hit three times looses the game" Tereki said as all the family kids looked at each other and chuckled lightly at her antics.

"You really want to play this game don't you?" Yozu rhetorically questioned as her response was a nod.

"Alright, let's do it!" The jolly kitsune replied as they jumped away to hide with their own set of paper shurikens and kunai, since this game was a free for all.

-After School, Kitsune Family Residence-

"And then our last lesson was on the properties and uses of magic, where we learned from one of the Kitsune Magi members. Each of us had been given a practice wand to cast the basic spells from the spell books that we've been given" Naruto explained his first official day at school to his parents as they sat at the table eating dinner, who were smiling at their son, proud of his first achievements.

"What kind of spell were you learning kit?" Kurama asked him as the purple-eyed boy thought.

"If I remember correctly, the rest were learning the basic Magic Barrier, while the teacher himself started teaching me the basics of Lightning" The multi-hair coloured kit answered, while the goddess widened her eyes in shock.

"That spell is extremely difficult and dangerous to learn, especially for a beginner wizard" Inari said while the father grinned.

"Well, he is in the advanced class after all" Kurama countered while the goddess rolled her eyes.

"Well, I guess you're right…" She started before reminding herself of what she wanted to say.

"Oh yes right, you want to start training in alchemy right? Well, I signed you up for the club and we'll be learning here at home as extra, so you better prepare yourself Naru-kun" Inari smiled as Naruto gave his signature foxy grin.

"I'm ready for anything kaa-chan, bring it on!" He said as he brought his fist out in determination.

"Good, then we'll begin our training around the weekends" His mother informed her son who nodded in understanding and left to go into the garden with a smile on his face. The parents watched with proud smiles on their faces, before Kurama broke the comfortable silence.

"So, want to bring his training up a notch?" The red head asked, before the goddess replied with her eyes narrowed.

"Only a little bit, he's not ready for intense training yet, calm yourself down hon" Inari scolded him before the man himself deflated slightly.

"Aww, I guess you're right, his body is too young for an intense training regime" Kurama sheepishly rubbed the back of his head.

"I can only imagine how far he'll go" The goddess daydreamed.

"Yeah" Was the great sage's response.

End Of Chapter

Sorry for taking so long, original stuff isn't easy to write. I'm also sorry for the short chapter, the next is going to be short as well possibly since the next will be the end of part one of the first arc. Next up will be the graduation from the Ninja School and maybe the move to the hidden leaf. Who knows right? Anyways, thank you for continuing the support as always and sorry all for leaving this story for quite some time, I was kind of busy with music practice and grinding on the new season of Diablo 3.
