AU. Jim in his troll-half form stumbles upon a strange door that takes him to another universe, where he encounters Hilda who has recently been turned into a troll and is trying to change back into a human. The two of them become friends as they try to return to being human and help both the trolls and the human citizens of Trolberg.

Jim, Hilda, Johanna, Baba, Frida, and David headed down the city streets towards the library. On the way there they saw a few Safety Patrol officers on patrol in the streets carrying some strange gun-like device with lights on them.

"So what's the deal with these Safety Patrol people?" Asked Jim.

"They're the protectors of Trolberg and have been on high alert since the recent increase in troll activity. Their leader Erik Ahlberg has been recruiting people and has the Safety Patrol develop new weapons that can harm trolls. Those weapons they're carrying are called torches that can fire beams of light that can petrify trolls. There's even talk of a large torch cannon in development." Said Johanna.

"Sounds rather cruel and unnecessary." Said Hilda.

"Hopefully we can reason with them and convince them that trolls aren't the enemy." Said Frida

The little group reached the library and were greeted by Kaisa who lead them inside and into the Witches Tower. Jim, Johanna, Baba, and Dave were impressed by the twisting stairways and tall bookcases. Kaisa lead them down a staircase and into a large room that looked like a doctor's office with a couple of witches dressed in white doctor coats.

"Please remove your disguises." Said Kaisa.

Jim and Hilda removed their glamour masks revealing their troll forms and were instructed to sit on some tables. The doctor witches collected some salvia samples from Jim, Hilda, and Baba and then they used some nail files to file some stone dust from the two trolls for some study and testing.

In another part of the tower the Void of No Return began to use it's connection to Triffid and began to command the plant creature to infect some other creatures residing in the tower and make it's way to the bottom to free it from it's prison.
