Jim and Hilda decided to put on their glamour masks before racing after the Void of No Return. They raced up the tower and exited the library, where they ended up encountering Claire and Merlin.
"Jim!" Called Claire racing towards Jim and embracing him.
"Claire? Merlin? How do you two get here?" Asked Jim looking confused.
"We found the gateway you went through in the tunnel and we used my magic to track you down." Said Merlin.
"So these are your friends?" Asked Hilda getting Merlin and Claire's attention.
"They are." Said Jim.
"Whose this?" Asked Claire looking at Hilda.
"This is Hilda. She's a friend I made when I first arrived in this universe and she's going through a similar be turned into a troll situation like me." Said Jim.
"Nice to meet you." Said Hilda.
"Nice to meet you too." Said Claire.
Johanna, Frida, David, Baba, Kaisa, and the Committee of Three exited the library as Safety Patrol officers began to arrive on the scene.
"Everyone get inside. Will handle Safety Patrol and come up with a explanation for what happened. The sun will rise soon, so you'll be safer the building." Said Abigail.
The others did as they were instructed and once they were safe from prying eyes Jim and Hilda removed their glamour masks and began to fill Merlin and Claire in on what happened. After that was done Merlin asked a question.
"What is the story about that dark monstrosity we saw?"
"That was the Void of No Return. It is both a living creature and a place. Long ago it terrorized the land and devoured anyone and anything that crossed it's path. The witches back then banded together and used their combined powers to trap the beast within their tower and keep it locked away. The head witches used the Void of No Return to punish witches that broke the rules and for many years it remained in it's prison, until now." Explained Kaisa.
"Kind of sounds like the creature that attacked the trolls and forced Amma to become a giant to fight it." Said Hilda.
"That monster had the same kind of dark magic that I sensed outside the city. I can tell it's extremely dangerous and must be stopped." Said Merlin.
"Looks like we're going on a hunt." Said Jim.
"Well we can't go now. The sun is fixing to be up. We got to wait, until nightfall." Said Claire.
"So what exactly does this Void of No Return want?" Asked David.
"Most likely revenge on the witches for locking it up and possibly the trolls." Said Kaisa.
"How would go about doing that?" Asked Claire.
"I don't know, but it's had a lot of time to think and whatever it's come up with can't be good for anyone." Said Jim looking serious.
