The air was heavy in this tiny space that was supposedly their 'haven' but it was more of a prison than anything else . . . at least for Ethan. After everything that happened in the last hours, it was no surprise, especially with what they had to do to escape their pursuers.

The light of morning came and went before the last rays of the sunset shone through the small entrance of the underground cavern based through the roots of a tree. It was thanks to Vi'su that they found this through all the Hellfire, saying that the Bad Bloods wouldn't be able to track them, even with their highly advanced technology. Although she wanted to assure him of that, it did little to ease his fears, gripping his forearm that was bandaged for the burn he received as he recollected.

Ethan could barely remember the brief moments, protecting their group while monsters shot fire blasts like a rain of fire with no regard for anything or anyone in their way, no better than wild animals full of bloodlust. At least we're alive, right?

As soon as he thought it, the burning sensation amplified and Ethan groaned. Son of a bitch.

"Ethan. You okay?"

He blinked his eyes and hurriedly put his arm down, "I'm fine. Nothing's wrong."

The soft whimper of Vi'su followed, "We're safe for now. Come back and rest."

He didn't answer right away but when Vi'su let out a soft growl, a clear warning, he hit his lip and trotted quietly down, trying to avoid eye contact on the way. But he glanced for one moment and trembled at the person laying on the ground, "How's she?"

Vi'su had her mask off for better visual so he saw the worried look in her golden eyes before getting back to treating her comrade lying unconscious, "A'sao will live . . . although I'm not sure she'll be completely healed by the time the Bad Bloods come. They're known to . . . get you at your weakest."

She turned away the moment, half regret displayed on her facial expression but he ignored it, stumbling to A'sao's side before sitting on his knees, "Will she get better?"

Vi'su paused, "She'll live if that's what you're worried about. But we have worse things to consider."

The cold vibe of her voice froze even the crevices of his chest as he gripped it so he could focus on the pain rather than the dark feeling but it was useless. Although he wanted to believe it wasn't his fault, the death of Nai'stip was on his hands and everyone would blame him.

Vi'su finished the bandages and looked to Ethan to say something else but when she saw the despair in his posture, she bit her mandible. She observed between A'sao and Ethan before sighing.

"I'll go check outside again and hunt for food. I'll be back soon."

"Thank you."

Ethan didn't look back, waiting for Vi'su to leave as her cold, truthful words echoed in the deepest crevices of his mind, although he knew it wasn't intentional. When he no longer heard her footsteps, he curled until the top of his head pressed on the uneven ground.

Why is this happening? All this death . . . and for fucking what? And now this . . .

The last words Nai'stip spoke to him brought back the dull pain in his head.

Make sure that those two stay alive until then . . .

He shook his head. Sure. Trust a pitiful human like me to keep up that promise. What a fucking piece of joke.

"Ethan . . ."

His head zipped up like lightning upon hearing A'sao's weak voice, his heart raced from excitement and fear for what he would discover. Her golden irises peeled through the dark skin of her eye sockets, "You're awake . . ."

"Yeah . . ." She groaned, moving in position to sit up, ignoring the tightness of her muscles around the wound.

"Hey!" Ethan pressed against her good shoulder and carefully on the other, "You shouldn't move yet."

"I'm fine . . ." A'sao softly growled, pushing Ethan away, "We don't have time to—"

"Whoa!"

Ethan barely had time to grab her arm, almost taken down by her weight alone if not for the quick action of pushing his back against the nearby wall, sliding softly until both of them were back sitting on the ground again.

She hissed, "Forgive me . . . I guess you're right."

He rolled his eyes. Of course, I am.

Ethan settled her down, making sure she was comfortable before sighing, releasing all the anxiety he had out in the open, "That was some crazy shit back there. This is more than a lifetime's worth for a human like me."

He chuckled at the notion and allowed some of the tension to be released but upon seeing the disappointment in her face with her head lowered in defeat, his intentions backfired and all he did was worsen the situation.

He glanced at the ground, kicking a pebble, "I'm sorry for your loss . . . for Nai'stip I mean."

"What do you mean by that?"

It took Ethan by surprise, "Huh?"

A'sao scooted away, positioning herself so that she was sitting across him, her demeanor frightened him, feeling the dark heaviness that suddenly appeared and covered their heads like a storm, "What Nai'stip chose to do is in the past. The problem now lies with the fact that we have no leader, I'm almost incapacitated and the Bad Bloods are hunting us like dogs. You really think that being optimistic is going to solve everything?"

Ethan bit his lip, "It's better than putting yourself down. It's not going to change things."

"How do you know?" A'sao spoke, her golden eyes making contact, waiting for his response.

What do I even say to her?

He paused, and that made her lower her head, the mere sight of her almost tug something in his chest, bringing a painful reminder of a past he wished he could erase or forget. It's all your fault.

He shook, licking his lips. There's gotta be something to cheer her up. Well . . . what can for a gigantic, alien, humanoid female after witnessing a wonderful show of blood and gore?

Ethan scanned around, finding anything to help him come up with an idea until his hands fiddled in his pockets and touched the corner of his MP3 player.

His eyes lit up. Of course!

He rushed to his feet, much to A'sao's surprise, noting he was doing something suspicious with his back turned to her, "What are you doing?"

"Just listen."

He set the MP3 player to the side in the best possible spot and pressed play, a soft melody sung in the tiny space.

You can look at the menu

But you just can't eat

You can feel the cushion

But you can't have a seat

He closed his eyes and slowly danced, allowing the anxiety that had built up inside himself to be released, soothing deep into his soul.

"What in pauk are you playing?" A'sao, taken aback by what was happening, clicked her tusks with great ferocity.

Ethan smiled, "Just a song that helped me through my tough times too," He stretched his hand out as an invitation, "Come on and relax for a moment."

A'sao growled, "What will this accomplish?"

"Just come on! Trust me!"

She couldn't object to his advances, shocked by his actions that she didn't fight him off as he grabbed her hand and carefully brought her to the center of the cave where there was more space for them. He let go and resumed the movements he made before.

"Is this some sort of ritual?" A'sao asked.

Ethan laughed, "Not really. Think of it as a way to let everything go and be yourself."

He reached for her hands once more, but she flinched away, "What are you doing now?"

Ethan paused, confused, "It's easier if I show it to you. Unless you know how it goes already."

He placed their hands together so that their fingers softly intertwined, noting the great difference in size as hers were three times bigger at least but it didn't matter. Ethan waited for a break in the song until the next set of lyrics came.

"Follow my lead." He grinned softly.

When the chorus part of the song came, Ethan slowly led A'sao into a circular pattern similar to slow dance, meeting some resistance from the female but it felt more out of insecurity. He understood it was foreign to her so he made her feel as comfortable as possible.

You can build a mansion, but you just can't live in it

You're the fastest runner but you're not allowed to win

Some break the rules and let you count the cost

The insecurity is the thing that won't get lost

A'sao had a hard time keeping up with how the situation quickly changed. One minute she was watching Ethan and now, she was in the middle of this 'dance' following a song that was somewhat annoying, especially with the lyrics making no sense. Must be some ritual or something.

She gazed at him, seeing how he was smiling and so calm despite everything. Well . . . at least this isn't so bad . . . so—

A'sao froze the moment his hand touched the thinnest ends of her dreadlocks, the sudden jolt of sensation overwhelmed her and before she could stop it, she let out the deepest purr.

Ethan flinched, "What . . . was that?"

When she didn't answer, he got worried, "Are you—"

"I want you."

Ethan had to repeat the words in his head multiple times and still couldn't find logic anywhere. It was only a minute that they were just dancing and nothing more. So what changed?

Before he could ask, A'sao pushed him to the ground and pinned him on his back, her legs encasing his hips while her hands pinned his own to the ground with brute force.

"A'sao!" He grunted, trying to thrash his way out of her grasp, "What are you doi—"

A massive shockwave ran through every nerve when she lowered her head and her wet, forked tongue grazed against his Adam's apple and traveled to the base of his neck. It happened a mere second but the emotions inside overwhelmed him, leaving him breathless by the time she pulled away.

A'sao came to her senses once she realized what she'd done upon noticing his shocked expression, "I'm sorry. I . . ."

She shook her head and pulled away. Great. The heat of mating season must be here but of all time to have this happen . . .

"Forget what happened," She stood up, "It was a mistake."

Ethan was puzzled, his heart pounding as he also got to his feet. She didn't know? For that one moment, instead of feeling disgusted and ashamed as expected, only pity and confusion came to him, noticing A'sao grabbing her arm to the point of digging her claws and letting drops of her green blood flow. Whatever happened, he couldn't only assume that it wasn't intentional.

However, the warmth she left behind in him didn't dissipate, a sensation so strong that he knew it was more than a mere fling, and remembering their 'accidental' kiss for that brief second only made it grow.

Did she . . . like me? In that way?

Ethan paused. Well . . . I have nothing to lose.

He took a deep breath, gathered all of his courage, and came to her side, softly weaving his hand until it held her hand. A'sao inhaled deeply and turned with a shocked look, unable to say anything.

"It's okay," Ethan spoke with a calm tone, "I'm not mad."

She gurgled, "You're not?"

He shook his head, "No. I just . . . didn't think you like me . . . in that way at least."

A'sao answered before she could stop herself, "Funny. I thought the same thing."

Both moved until standing in front of each other, looking into each other's eyes, "This is wrong though."

"Yes."

"And you know that."

"I do."

"Then . . . we shouldn't go further. Right?"

"True."

She didn't answer and the silence hung in the air, both standing as still as statues . . . but it didn't last. A'sao had him on his back once more but this time, Ethan welcomed it, wrapping his arms around her waist as possibly as he could, both their mouths pressed together and tongues battling in a frenzy for dominance as they ripped off any piece of clothing that got in their way.

Pausing to catch their breaths, Ethan gazed above at the female straddling him, finally seeing the distinct features of her naked body, the patches of scales making the yellowish streaks prominent and bright on her breasts that were surprisingly similar to a human female, the sapphire within her eyes sparkled like stars in the night, making her more beautiful than anything he had ever seen and fueled his lust that made his cock harden in response.

A'sao purred, taking in his scent that was close to that of lavender like the ones she discovered on the planet Du'rav that she missed dearly. She felt something hard poking at her calf and each time it did, Ethan let out a thickened groan of pleasure, silently gasping when she moved to end the slightest. Her core burned and she couldn't wait any longer. Moving carefully, she spread her legs and maneuvered herself, and dropped her hips until she felt the head of his cock wiggling itself inside fully.

Ethan threw his head and moaned, trembling as her walls encased his cock in a surge of heat and wetness. He instinctively reached for her hips, only to have her pin them again and growled in his face, terrifying him a bit but also sending tingles down to his toes in pleasure. She was in command and he wasn't about to go against it. Besides . . . it's kinda hot.

A'sao gyrated her hips at a slow pace, massaging the length of his cock so much that he moaned over and over again, listening to the sweet sound of her purrs as he opened her mandibles to the sky, feeling her soft skin between her scales as he was finally freed from her grasp to hold her hips and move them the way he wanted them.

It wasn't long before she quickened her movements and the buildup between their bodies rose in pressure. Ethan held in a breath as A'sao rocked harder and faster, her growls and purrs rising and her back bending so far that her dreadlocks almost touched the ground until the ecstasy finally exploded.

"Shit, shit, shit!"

Ethan and A'sao howled in unison and he felt the tip of his cock burst and the sticky fluid of their essence coated her insides and himself as he made short thrusts with the last of his strength until he collapsed in exhaustion. A'sao followed as she rolled off to his side, gasping as his cock flopped on his stomach. Both were taken into a deep and blissful sleep with Ethan smiling.

That was . . . incredible.

It had only been moments since she left to secure the area and hunt for food and now she was hiding like a pup, listening to the familiar sounds of mating from the entrance of the cave as if the dai-shui alone wasn't enough.

Vi'su sighed and moved away from the cave. She expected that there was something between A'sao and Ethan from the beginning, knowing her fellow kv'var-da wasn't one to be taken in so easily despite being familiar with oomans.

In a way, she didn't have a problem with both having a relationship, opposite of what Nai'stip would think, but something didn't sit right. This could be a problem, if the Bad Blood discovers this, then Ethan will—

Her chest tightened and forced her to kneel on the ground, clutching as her heart stung like a knife. Damn . . . Why am I like this?

Vi'su held a whimper. Could it be that—

She stood on her feet quickly, alerted by the sound of rustled bushes nearby, growling in a warning. I checked the area. There shouldn't be a Bad Blood nearby!

Vi'su activated her biomask in the hope of catching whatever it was but even that was unable to identify except a single silhouette of a figure standing a few meters away but it was enough that she knew only one thing could do that.

She growled, extending her ki'cti-pa, and pounced on the invisible being as she expected. The tip of her weapon aimed at where the jugular would be, "Whoever you are, better show yourself Bad Blood."

"Stop calling me that."

Vi'su was stunned. Wait a minute.

She got off the person but kept her guard as she stepped back, "Who are you?"

It wasn't long before the being uncloaked and revealed who it was, shocking Vi'su, "What are you doing here?"

The being raised his hands, "I'm not here to fight you. I just want to talk."

Vi'su growled and the 'unexpected' guest lowered his head in submission, "Tell me or lose your life right here and now. I'm not playing."

She waved her weapon, a show to signal that she wasn't playing and would kill him, "What do you want?"

The being shrugged before finally speaking, and it took her a minute to process the words she didn't expect to hear

"I'm here to help."

Hello, my fellow readers!

My apologies for such a delay in this chapter but it was very difficult, given that I'm not used to such a steamy chapter (if you know what I mean ;)). One of my longer chapters but definitely worth it and hope that you all approve of my first attempt in this particular subject lol.

And I can't wait until the new Predator movie - Prey comes up as it keeps me going with my writings and such. The more I watch the trailers, the more I have hopes that this will get great reviews and praises (although I love all of them).

Thank you very much for your support and Good Hunting to all!
