He disappeared.

How that happened, no one really knew, but he disappeared all the same. He wasn't anywhere to be found in Washington, D.C., New York City, or Philadelphia. Those were the most obvious places for anyone to look for him, but they couldn't find him.

It was the first time he'd lost a leader due to assassination. He had to be in shock. Violent deaths for leadership were often traumatic for nations. It was reasonable that he needed some time to recover the from the violence that had taken place in his lands.

There were whispers, though. There were always whispers, whispers of suicide and the brewing of another civil war, but such things were often unfounded in the end. Still, there was one question that remained, that no one had an answer to.

Just where had America gone?
