Chapter 1: Would I have seen Sasuke-kun return to the village
...
Naruto
Everything was so different without Sakura-chan here. I didn't have time to think about that. I had a mission coming up. We traced another one of Orochimaru's hideouts which was probably where Sasuke was hiding.
I got ready and headed for the village gates. I wasn't all smiles this time we were going with Captain Yamato this time. I stayed quiet the whole way there. I felt worried away from the village where Sakura-chan was lying in a hospital bed.
I remembered the first time we had gone all together. We had seen Sasuke, we weren't able to bring him back and he had gotten away with orochimaru.
He had fought with us in the war. We had also fought in the last valleys. But he was a coward. He knew people would judge him if he came back to the village so he ran away without saying a word to Sakura-chan or I.
That had probably broken her heart after all we went through during the war. Sasuke had apologized but now I was starting to think he didn't mean it. Why else would he have run away from the village if we would be with him.
'Kid!' I heard a voice. 'Kurama? What is it?' I answered the biju inside of me. 'Calm down, I'm sure the girl is going to be alright, focus on your mission!' Kurama advised me. 'I know but I can't help but worry after all i..' I stopped speaking.
'love her huh?' kurama finished my sentence. I nodded 'That's more of a reason why you should remain calm. What if you're too distracted and killed on this mission!' Kurama pointed out, rolling his eyes.
'You're right thank you Kurama' I sighed. 'Yeah, yeah well i'm going back to sleep!' I laughed and snapped out of my subconsciousness.
'Naruto!' Sai said, 'We have almost arrived'. We jumped through a few more trees until we spotted a hideout. Yamato had recently been in charge of surveilling orochimaru's hideouts. He was probably going to stay after the mission ended.
I walked into the hideout. I looked at the bright purple walls. I stared at the diffrent rooms full of creepy weird experiments.
I finally spotted Sasuke in one of the bedrooms. He was lying on the bed. He seemed oddly relaxed which pissed me the hell off. He had just fled the Konoha. Why was he staying there like a carefree man?
"Sasuke!" I shouted as I entered the room. "Naruto" Sasuke replied nonchalantly. "What the hell is wrong with you. Why the fuck are you doing lunging around here casuall as if you didn't flee the leaf village for the second times!" I shouted angrily.
"A-and because of you Sakura-chan attempted to kill herself if I wasn't there she would-". "What!?" Sasuke interrupted me, grabbing my collar angrily. "What the hell did you just say" Sasuke didn't let go.
"You heard Sakura-chan tried to kill herself because of you." I spat out coldly. "S-she jumped off the cliff and is in a coma!" I yelled at him. "Sakura.." Sasuke spoke quietly. "Will she be okay?" The uchiha asked worry in his raven eyes.
I was shocked by his reaction. I didn't expect him to care. "Yeah she's doing fine, she broke multiple bones but Tsunade-obaachan explained that her bones would probably be almost fully healed by the time she woke up,'' I told Sasuke.
He nodded " I'm coming back to the leaf!" he declared. I stared at him wide eyed. "Really?! Why so suddenly I thought you'd say no" I expressed.
"I must Sakura.. She needs me right now. I-i can't make selfish decisions like a coward you guys were right. I'm so sorry it took me this long to realize this."
I couldn't help but smile and had almost forgotten that Sai was standing behind me.

Then a girl came in. She had bright spiky long hair and red glasses. 'Karin' Sasuke spoke looking at the girl.
Karin Uzumaki was Sasuke's former teammate from when he had made Taka. The girl had a huge crush on him. Obviously I had never met a woman who hadn't had a crush on Sasuke (except for Hinata).
Even All the girls in the teams liked him. Tenten, Ino, Temari and of course Sakura-chan. "Sasuke, what are you doing? Where are you going?" The redhead questioned.
"I'm going back to the leaf village Karin" Sasuke informed her. When he said this I saw a hint of sadness sparkle in Karin's bright red eyes. "Is this really what you want? It's about that girl isn't it? Sakura ?' She asked.
"Yes it is she needs me, well i need her she's in critical condition right now." Sasuke stared at the girl explaining to her the situation. The girl's cherry-colored eyes meet the bed where Sasuke was seated.
Karin plopped down next to him."'Sasuke.. What happened to her?". "S-she tried to kill herself because of me i.." the obsidian haired said with difficulty.
"W-what?!" Karin uttered in a state of shock. "Is she okay?" Karin asked worriedly. "Y-yeah but she's in a coma" I informed her.
"Naruto can we talk outside? '' Sasuke interrupted. "Sure" I said as we walked out of the room. "Naruto, he's dangerous!" Yamato warned me, getting in our way.
"Captain Yamato it's fine we're just having a talk and he tries to escape i'll get him myself" I declared. " I'm not ready to come bak to the village just yet. I would like to be assigned a mission or i'm not coming back to the leaf ever" I listen to his words i had no other option but to listen to his demands.
"Alright I'll inform Kakashi-sensei right away and ask him if there are any missions available for you Sasuke" I agreed.
Like I promised i asked sai to send an ink drawn bird with the message.

We had gone quite far so it took about a week for us to receive a reply. It had been two weeks since we had set out on our mission. Sasuke was getting ready for his mission and we were all saying our goodbyes.
Sai and I had another mission to take care of so it would take about another month for us to return home to the leaf village.
Being on a mission helped take my mind off of Sakura-chan. I would get some scrolls updating me about Sakura-chan's condition. Her state was improving but there were no real signs telling when she'd wake up that worried me.
Again to keep my mind off things I trained and fought hard on the mission, tiring myself out. "Naruto i think you should stop pushing yourself too much on these missions. It's not good for you" Sai warned as we were resting in a nearby village.
It was a calm village, not a ninja village, just a normal one. The people were nice and there were a lot of kids that admired me. It was nice telling them stories about my adventures and our village.
I made sure to tell them many great things about Sakura-chan. I missed her. My mission was ending soon and I was very excited to go home and see the Haruno.

I reached the village and the first thing I did was rush to the hospital. Like when Sakura-chan first got admitted she was surrounded by a crowd of people.
It was the same scenario but this time it was Sasuke who sat at the other side of Sakura-chan's bed. "What's going on?" I demanded. "Sakura is showing some signs of consciousness," Ino stated excitedly.
"What?!" I shouted excitedly while pushing past the crowd of people.
Sakura
My head was in intense pain. Was i still in the water? I opened my eyes and saw a familiar site. White walls, the huge window cover in the curtain. I stared down at my hands and saw a huge tube stuck inserted and another one connected to my nose.
I seemed so skinny and frail. I recognized my place of work. I was in the hospital. Naruto had jumped in after me huh? That idiot didn't understand that I just wanted to die.
I noticed someone beside me. Those beautiful eyes black like perisian lilies. "S-Sasuke-kun is that you?" I asked, my voice sounding weaker and smaller than i had imagined.
"Sakura,'' he shouts excitedly. "Oh Sakura I'm so glad you're okay. My Kami why did you do something so stupid like trying to kill yourself. You have no damn idea how worried I was!"
There were multiple people around me. All the teams and their senseis. On the other side of the bed were my parents. My mothers eyes widened and tears fell. "My Sakura, why would you do this to yourself?" My mother weeped, hugging me tightly.
"Your father and I were so worried about you!" she expresses. "Mother, Father I'm so sorry." I smile toward them. I still wanted to die but seeing Sasuke-kun beside me felt unreal. The way he called out my name gave me butterflies.
:Sasuke-kun what are you doing here?" I asked him curiously ignoring my throbbing head. "I came back to the leaf village for you!" he spoke.
It somehow felt like a little light had peeked through the gray cloud that was called my life. I suddenly started to wonder...
If I had killed myself would I have seen Sasuke return to Konoha.
