J's Music Chapter 7: Slim Jauney Part 1, a rwby fanfic

So hey everyone, how's it going, y'all?! It's been a while that I have updated this fic. So I want to tell you guys the reasons I haven't updated.

First, is that I have a been very busy because of the business and shit. We just open our store for selling eggs, and many just ordered us so many cases of eggs, so yeah. Second is that I'm lazy and procrastinated. Because of the business, I have such a tiring week for delivering the eggs. I just sometimes go to sleep.

And third, is that I've been playing Kingdom Hearts all day. I play the game because it brings me the nostalgia; it keeps the work stress away and I'm having fun. Not only that, I play the game because of my upcoming fic KINGDOM ARC (Yup, that's the title). It will give me ideas for it.

So yeah, that's all, anyway enjoy the chapter.

In the downtown of Vale, team RWBY and team NPR takes a walk after their intense training session. Since it's Sunday, they should make this weekend fun. They went to Sunbucks to get something to drink. Ruby ordered cookies and a vanilla sweet cold brew, Weiss ordered a white chocolate espresso, Yang ordered a Valean coffee and a honey glazed donut, Blake ordered a mocha frappuccino. Now for team NPR, Pyrrha ordered her salted caramel frappuccino, Nora just ordered pancakes... a lot of pancakes and last Ren ordered an ice guava black tea.

They sat down to take a refreshing sip while Nora quickly digs in her pancakes.

"Ahh... Sunbucks is the best!" Ruby sighed while she drinks her cold brew.

"Yeah, beats it, their coffee is so well brewed," Yang said as she keeps sipping her coffee.

"So what should we do after this? Since it's still 12:00 noon, it's still early for us to listen to Jaune's songs." Pyrrha asked them.

"Well... we can make ourselves.. *swallows her pancake* busy, ya know." Nora said as she continues, "Hey, while we're here relaxing, let's talk about what you like at Jaune's songs." Nora said.

"What I like about Jaune's songs is his rock songs! I really, really love it!" Ruby squealed and raise her arms.

"For me, it's his rap. Every line is so cool! He was like a gangsta when he raps you know." Yang grinned and crossed her arms like a real OG.

"Well, I like Jaune's love song 'Maybe the Night, it's so... romantic," Pyrrha stated and blushed vehemently as Yang blew a raspberry at the Mistral champion.

"Psshhh... yeah right, you've been imagining yourself while listening to that song, aren't ya?" Yang teased and it made Pyrrha blushed even more. Pyrrha admitted she fantasizes about herself and Jaune when hearing that song. But Ruby frowned out of jealousy, and for Ruby, Pyrrha is her big contender to Jaune's heart.

"But hey, I can say Jaune is suave and romantic when he sings that though," Yang admitted with a blush

"Anyway, I have to go to the dust shop now, I'm running out of fire dust for my two babies," Yang said, showing her Ember Celica.

"Ok sis, see you back at the dorm," Ruby said, waving her goodbye as Yang leaves them.

Yang wandered to the streets. She strolls as she sees 'Dust Till Dawn'. Yang enters the shop to buy some fire dust for her Ember Celica. She purchases a few dust crystals and a small amount of fire dust powder. Before she walks out of the store, Yang notices a magazine stand from the side of the exit. She takes one magazine and reads it. The magazine that Yang reads just contains context about new motorcycles, new gears that Atlas created, etc.

Then there is another one, it says about J's new single, and his single reached 100 million views. Yang actually listened to J's new single, and she really, really loves it! Although the song is for... sad boys and sad girls, well... that's what Yang thought. But, there is also one thing about J's song. It's that his voice sounds like Jaune when he sings. That's what she notices about it, but for now, she needs to get back to Beacon.

Yang puts the magazine back on the stand as she exits the shop. From the glimpse of her eyes, she saw one familiar person... and its Soda WRLD. Yang saw Soda in front of an apartment. Soda was wearing a red jacket and underneath his jacket is a black t-shirt, he also wears jeans and brown boots. It seems like Soda was waiting for someone, and it's Yang's chance for her to get an autograph or take a picture with him.

'Wait, that's Soda WRLD! Ooohhh... time for me to greet and take a picture with him!' Yang thought to herself as she takes out her scroll excitedly and hastily goes to the other side. But she suddenly stops in her tracks when she saw one very familiar face... and it's none other than Jaune Arc.

Yang saw Jaune doing a bro handshake with Soda. They greet each other with a warm smile. Jaune wears a yellow hoodie, with blue jeans and sneakers.

'Wait... that's Vomit-boy! I thought he's in his hometown?!' Yang thought confusedly. Questions ran through her mind. Why is Jaune here? He should be in his hometown, right?

Yang wants to make sure that it was Jaune. So she tries to approach them to take a better look until...

*RRIIINGGG*

Yang startled a bit as her scroll ringed, she takes her scroll and sees that Ruby is calling and answers it.

"Hey Rubes, you need something?" Yang asked while looking down, as she looks up, Jaune was nowhere to be found. And it made Yang more confused as she looks around to see if Jaune is still there.

"Uhh... Yang, hello?"

Yang swears that he just saw Jaune in front of that apartment. Is she seeing things? Or maybe she's just hungry?

"Yang!"

Yang's thoughts snapped out when she heard Ruby shouting through the scroll.

"Uhh yes, sis?" Yang asked the little reaper

"Yang, you've spaced out for a sec. Are you okay?" Ruby questioned in concern.

"Oh, I'm ok sis, just... thinking some weird thoughts lately, so what is it, Rubes?" Yang asked politely

"I'm just wondering if you can come with me to the mall, you know, just buying some stuff with Weiss. And since we still didn't have some lunch yet, let's eat together with Weiss, my treat." Ruby offered, and fortunately Yang's stomach growls.

"Well, Rubes, I'll be on my way," Yang said as she ends the call. "You know what, I'll just get something to eat. Maybe I'm just seeing stuff," Yang said to herself, and she thinks that she was just seeing things because she's starving.

Meanwhile, the blonde knight was sitting in the car waiting for Soda to come. But Jaune has some thoughts lately. He was thinking about the opening song for the new 'KINGDOM OF HEARTS 3' game. He accepts the offer without hesitation. Because it's the game that Jaune uses to play when he was a kid, and it is such an honor to work with Triangle Onix for this.

The thing is... how is he going to make the opening theme in such a short time?!

The game will launch the trailer in just a few days and they confirmed they will release the actual game in 3 weeks. So it will be a rush.

Jaune snapped his thoughts out when Soda gets in the car with some fast food for their lunch later.

"Hey bro, got our lunch for later." Soda gives Jaune the food that he ordered.

"Hit the pedal man," The driver starts the engine and droves off. Jaune gets his scroll to check his Vstream and other social media accounts until his scroll vibrates, showing an email notification.

Dear Mr. J,

We were glad and honored to work with you for the soundtrack of our upcoming launch of KINGDOM OF HEARTS. We send you this email to inform you that Hitada Akari will work with you for the opening theme of our game. We hope that the two of you will bond together. But if you ever want to add another artist for you work. Then we will be glad to let him/her to join in.

Team RWBY and team NPR take their seats and preparing snacks. This will be the end of the weekend, so they must choose some good music videos for them to listen to music and enjoy the show.

"Hey guys, let's choose something different. Like listening to one of Jaune's album." Ruby suggested, they glanced at each other as they nod in agreement.

"Hey Ruby, can I pick some crazy album that Jaune made?" Sun asked politely to the red reaper as she nods in obliged.

"Yeah, sure Sun," Ruby gives the remotes to Sun. The monkey faunus grinned in excitement to listen to some of Jaune's amazing hits. "Yeah, sweet!"

Sun keeps pressing the down button to see a few albums that Jaune made. He keeps searching and searching until he found a folder named 'Slim J'. The name of the album is familiar to Sun.

"Slim Johnny? That's sounds familiar, its like I heard of this before." Sun mumbled.

"Yeah... the name of the album does sounds familiar." Neptune hummed, cupping his chin curiously.

"Better see what this album," Sun said. He opens the file folder to see music videos, and a short video named 'intro'. He presses the video as it plays.

The screen shows Jaune seating in front of the camera inside their dorm room. He was wearing his usual hoodie minus the armor, Jaune smiled nervously as he speaks to the camera.

"Uhh... hi...guys, this is my very first album as an underground rapper." Jaune stated in slight nervousness and waves his hand. "I hope you guys enjoy the rest of my music! Enjoy!" Jaune added with a grin crossed to his face as the short video end.

"Well... that's it?" Sun questioned.

"Just hit the next one, dude. I wanna hear how Jaune raps first hand!" Neptune chimed in anticipation, Sun presses a video named 'Not Afraid'.

The screens starts show Jaune on top of a high rise building wearing a matching outfit of black leather jacket, black t-shirt and black jeans, viewing the city of Vale under the bright sunlight. He was at the edge of the building standing there with no fear.

"Whoa! Just hearing the intro really gets me hyped up!" Neptune squealed, getting hyped up.

"Jaune really is talented! And I mean really... talented!" Sun complimented as everyone nod in agreement.

"Shhh! here it goes!" Ruby shushed everyone.

Now it transitions to Jaune in a basement wearing a sleeveless shirt minus the jacket. The video keeps alternating while Jaune is rapping.

"Damn! He really raps like... his just spitting the words!" Yang said out of amazement. 'Oooh... and I really like his bad-boy side in this song. He really looks good.' Yang cooed in thought. She likes not only his chiseled frame but also how he sings the verse with full of braveness and he doesn't show any signs of nervousness or fear.

"I like the way he delivers the song fast and understandable, but I don't like how he uses such vulgar word just to mix it up." Weiss huffed while crossing her arms. This is the first time that she hears that dunce saying such vulgar words.

"But it's still good. I hope Jaune can teach me how to rap." Sun said, wishing he can rap fast just like Jaune.

"The chorus... hmm Not Afraid..." Blake hummed. Remembering the lines of the chorus and tries to sing along quietly.

Jaune walks to the streets and crosses the road without care that he might get hit by a car that passes. As he wandered, Jaune looks at the cars window and looks at himself.

Blake listens to every verse that Jaune raps. She admired how he expressed his braveness even he's such a dork. But she wondered how Jaune can handle this? Showing no signs of being a coward, standing straight up facing the hate and problems.

'I hope I can be just as... "Bad-ass" as you, Jaune. Just like in this song.' Blake thought to herself. She glances to see her friends singing along and tries to catch up the song, and it's quite hilarious they sang the lyrics wrong.

Then Jaune noticed the mirrors just standing at each side. He realized that he was in a mirror maze and runs.

"Hmmm... yeah, he is," Weiss hummed. She pleasantly smiled at how Jaune expressed his emotion in this song. Weiss can feel it and showing how Jaune sing so defiant makes the Schnee liking the dunce neutrally.

"Ooohh what's with the smile in your face Ice-queen? Liking for lady-killer here." Yang teased, as the heiress huffed and looks back while crossing her arms with a pink blush in her face.

"Quiet you, Xiao-Long," Weiss groaned.

The scene shows Jaune in a destroyed road. It looks like being a large sinkhole. He jumps and falls, but it stops and levitates for a second, then he floats back up in an increasing pace of speed.

"Yeah, that's for sure. The song is like a diss track to Jaune's haters, since his an underground rapper." Sun stated.

Everyone applause and cheered. The song is like a masterpiece and this should be in Vstream.

"I can say... this... is a masterpiece!" Ruby squeaked cutely

"If Jaune ever have a music channel in Vstream... he will have my subscription." Ren chimed.

"Yeah, definitely," Yang added. To all rap music that she listens, this is the one that Yang really likes and she will add it to her playlist. The song expresses of never back down the problems and should no matter the struggles and circumstance. That is Yang's conclusion in thought.

"Well, up to the next one." Sun presses the next video titled 'Real Slim Jauney'.

The scene starts off with an electro but funky type of beat and two nurses in the reception. One is a nurse with short dirty blonde hair and has a condition of dwarfism, she keeps throwing tablets and capsules in each cup without care. The other one was a lady with curly hair with a tinge of brown color. Unlike the first nurse, this one has a normal height. She grabs the microphone on the desk and announces.

Then it shows a group of patients with what it seems having mental conditions, including Jaune dressed with a patient robe.

"Uhhh.. is this a hospital or a mental hospital?" Ruby questioned confusedly.

"Obviously, it's a mental hospital, Ruby. And I can say that dunce looks ridiculous." Weiss snorted. Ridiculed at how Jaune being such a dunce.

As Jaune keeps rapping, the scene transitions to a lady wearing a skimpy black dress. Then the burst door bursts showing a skinny man with tattoos to his arms as he harasses the lady to the point where the lady keeps running in circles and screams.

Then a group of teenage boys were walking peacefully until Jaune shows up wearing a red super hero costume. He chases them in a skipping-like fashion and it shows wearing a... silicon prosthetic butt?

Everyone except Yang, Ruby, Sun, and Nora who laughed at Jaune's hilarious costume. The rest were deadpan, they never thought that Jaune can be this so... silly? Well I think that's the word.

"Pfftt! What is that?! HAHAHA!" Yang laughed out loud.

"Ugh.. what's with that dunce?!" Weiss groaned.

"Feminist women? Really Jaune.." Blake deadpan.

Everyone except Ruby who didn't get it, shuddered about the thought of their parents having their 'playtime'.

Scene show Jaune wearing his usual pumpkin pete hoodie with a group of men surrounding him. Wearing the same outfit and same hair, but the faces were different.

Jaune was in front of interviewers, taking pictures of him with microphones and cameras pointing at him.

Then one interviewer, which is Jaune who wears a funny outfit, intervenes. Then he seats at a chair right next to another Jaune who cross-dressed as Britney Pikes,

But Slim, what if you win, wouldn't it be weird
Why, so you guys can just lie to get me here
So you can, sit me here next to Britney Pears?
Shit, better switch me chairs

"HAHAHA! 'Shit, better switch me chairs' that line is savage!" Sun laughed

"Jaune really hates Britney Pears, huh? Hehehe." Neptune chuckled.

"Yeah, I remember when I play a Britney Pikes' song. Jaune just muttered, "Really, Nora?! Britney Pears sucks" Hihihihi." Ruby giggled.

"Hmm.. at least he doesn't care at such high awards." Pyrrha muttered.

Yo Shit, Christina Aguila better switch me chairs

It shows a factory of Jaune's. Processing in a conveyer belt. While the real Jaune was rapping and cleaning the floors.

It shows Jaune is working on a fast-food chain. A fat lady ordered onion rings. But before Jaune serves the food, he looks at the camera with a smirk and spits the onion rings. Then it transitions to Jaune, driving a blue car in around in a parking lot like a maniac.

"Ewww! Dude, that's so disgusting!" Sun shuddered. Even everyone else shuddered in disgust.

"Oh, good lords," Pyrrha lost her words in disappointment. She never knew that her blonde dork can be like this.

And every single person is a Slim Jauney lurking
He could be working at Burger King, spitting on your onion rings
[*HACH*] Or in the parking lot, circling
Screaming "I don't give a fuck!"
With his windows down and his system up

When the fat lady gets her onion rings. She just takes one and feeds it into her mouth with spit dripping in the food. A sight that shuddered and tainted to the audience's minds out of disgust.

The music video ended when each patient takes their medication one by one in line.

"Finally, this is over!" Weiss said, feeling relieved that the music video ended.

"Well, uh... I know Jaune is talented, buuutt the music video is-" Ruby didn't know what word to describe.

"Foul? Nasty?" Blake chimed in the word.

"Nasty, yeah, that should be the word." Ruby said.

"But, hey, to be honest, I like it! Even though it's nasty as hell." Sun laughed. As Yang and Nora nodded in agreement.

Jaune can say that this will be a long night.

Jaune was watching Soda Wrld's music recording. So far the delivery of the lyrics and the beats is good, better even. Right now, Soda is recording the song Lean Wit Me. He can say that this will be a big hit without a doubt. The only thing that this song needs is a music video.

Jaune takes out a list. It comprises the songs that they will record this day. So far they finished the half of it. Now it's time for a break.

"You've done well, Soda. Let's take a break." Jaune stated. Soda jumps out of the recording in cheerly. He takes a cup of purple liquid. They called it 'Lean' and he doesn't know why others love this kind of drink. It's like a drug that mix in the soda.

"Damn, bro, I never thought that we finished half of the list." Soda grinned because of the haze of 'lean'. Jaune just chuckled in delight.

"You know, you did a 'superb' job." Jaune emphasizes 'superb' in a fancy accent. "Well, gotta go. I need to some food now."

"For sure, take care." Soda said as he and Jaune do a bro handshake.

As Jaune leaves the room, he checks his wallet to see how much money they gave to budget it for their food. Suddenly a picture falls to the floor.

"Oops,"

When he takes the photo. His face suddenly turned grim. The photo will always remind him the tragic past.
