Roy's Final Luring Trap:
Chapter 1: To the Rendezvous Point:
I don't own the rights to FMA
Roy Mustang was sweating profusely at the burning image of what could be of the future. His squadron had all fallen, struck dead by the homunculus Pride. He had come up with a plan to lure this particular homunculus into a trap, but it would only work if the camaraderie between his squadron and Vanguard's meshed well together. Roy was sitting in his office at East Area Headquarters. He was trying to be optimistic about the possibilities of this surprise attack of the homunculi. His squadron was already stationed in concealing locations. Roy was worried about First-Lieutenant Vanguard in that he had no idea how prepared he was. Roy is a Colonel and has had much more experience than him.
Roy started to lift from his seat and walk towards the exit of the headquarters. He needed to head towards Central and rapid. Before he exited, Mustang gazed at Alex Louis Armstrong, a massive statue with humongous muscles. He looked like the champion of a heavyweight tournament who would do anything brutal to ensure victory, but in all honesty, he is a genuinely lovely and caring person. Overbearing at times as well.
"While I'm gone, I want you to look after the headquarters for me; is that understood? This is a direct order from me, the Colonel", Roy said in a demanding voice.
"Understood, sir," Alex said as he watched Roy depart the premises.
Just like that, Roy was on his way to Central city. Roy made no hassle trying to get to the train station headed to central. As the train went to Central, Roy kept having sudden images of a fight that had yet to come as he, Vanguard, and their squadrons became the next meal of homunculi he believed to be Pride. Pride, a synonym for joy, something that Roy felt strongly when with his squad, which consisted of Second Lieutenant Heymans Breda, a strategist specialist, Valto Falman, a human known as a walking dictionary due to his incredible memory, Lieutenant Havoc, a clumsy yet heroic man with iron shield ideals, Kain Fuery, a master sergeant who is a mechanic and communication expert, and finally First-Lieutenant Hawkeye, a unique adjuvant and key to his life. Roy knew that he had to protect all of them, especially Hawkeye. The train ride seemed to last an eternity, but the train soon halted at the central station.
"Finally, I'm in Central. That train ride took much longer than I would've wished for. I need to get to the rendezvous point correctly, Roy muttered to himself." Before Mustang was about to leave the station, four people wearing central uniforms ambushed him. A homunculus led the ambush with tight black clothing with hair like a porcupine.
"My, what a surprise. I was scouting the Central area, and it seems I was lucky to catch a small worm in this little cesspool of foolishness. Actually, no, you're one of the few who isn't a worm, to father your special as you are an important sacrifice", the man said in a manic way.
"Who are you? Roy said while struggling to get free from the clutches of the men's hands.
"How very considerate of you to ask. You can call me Envy. Envy had a massive grin on his face
"Envy, right? Well, it looks like you're going to have a wrong time.
Roy's gloves start to ignite a fire. Roy creates a vast, colossal fireball and shoots it up in the sky to create a diversion to escape from the men and the homunculi. The men started following in close pursuit of Roy while Envy jumped on roofs of Central City to try and pounce him. He was running towards the coordinates given to him by sergeant Feury that was to be the location of the rendezvous point.
"Damn, I can't have Envy finding out this location." Roy created a significant flame barrier and pushed it towards Envy, who started melting away as the flames hit his philosopher's stone
"I see, so that is how you are going to play Roy, I see. You know what? I don't think you're using all your power. Something is on your mind that is causing you to become weaker. I'll fight you when you start taking things seriously. You soldiers, as father has ordered, chase after Mustang until you kill him."
Envy flees the scene as the soldiers get their guns and shoot at Roy. Roy nimbly avoids the bullets until he reaches what seems to be his determined destination. Roy is about to have a vision until he is shot in the torso by a soldier. When trying to get up, Roy can hear gunshots not too far away and the screams of the soldiers. Roy feels a familiar presence, and a hand reaches out for him. As he gets up, he is greeted by Riza, his adjudicator, who happens to be an excellent sniper as well. They start walking to where everyone is huddled in
