Introduction: This next story is something I started working on late last year, and I didn't finish it until now because at the time something in my personal life happened to make me not want to work on this thing. I've been on a little bit of an SAO kick these last few days though, and it's made me want to bring this story to completion. It's definitely one of my odder ideas, but it's one I was never able to quite let go of. So submitted for your approval, I present to you my first attempt at an SAO fanfic post-Alicization arc.
Disclaimer: I do not own Sword Art Online.
Dream Woman
Afternoon was gradually turning to evening as Kazuto Kirigaya, or Kirito has he was known to many of his friends, rode his motorbike down the street to his house. He was on his way back from another long session at the cram school he was attending to prepare for his college entrance exams, a challenge apparently far more arduous than taking down any of the boss monsters he had faced in any of the VRMMOs he had played. Even some of the exams Kirito had taken at Swordcraft Academy when he was trapped in the virtual realm of Underworld had been a cakewalk compared to what he was now up against. Studying for the entrance exam had been taking everything Kirito had. For the past several weeks he had been burning the candle at both ends.
Of course Kirito's studies had caused many of the other things in his life to be put on the back-burner for a while. For one thing he had hardly been able to venture into the VRMMO worlds he normally frequented. Even worse though, Kirito hadn't been able to spend any time at all with his longtime girlfriend, Asuna Yuki. Once a week they'd have a short video call with each other, but that was it. What made actually getting together for the two of them so impossible was the fact Asuna was pretty much in the same boat Kirito; she had exams of her own to prepare for and absolutely no free time to speak of.
As Kirito finally approached his house, he found several men in black suits and sunglasses stationed out in the yard. Upon seeing these men, Kirito knew he had a certain unexpected guest at the house. The armed guards currently stationed on his family's property immediately recognized Kirito when he pulled into the driveway, so he was able to enter the house without any hassle. In another few moments Kirito entered the living room, and sure enough he found his unexpected guest sitting on the couch, wearing the uniform of Kirito's high school and holding a book in her hands. The person in question was a young woman with fair skin, hair like spun gold arranged in a braided ponytail, and blue eyes like sapphires.
The girl was Alice Synthesis Thirty, and she was in fact a sophisticated android driven by a bottom-up artificial intelligence; a synthetic human soul raised in the virtual RPG environment of the Underworld. Kirito and Alice had become good friends during his own time trapped in the Underworld, and it was largely thanks to Kirito that Alice had been able to come to the real world.
"Good evening, Kirito," Alice spoke as she flipped the page of her book. "I hope the men at arms stationed outside didn't give you any trouble. Are you doing well?"
"As well as can be expected for a struggling exam student," Kirito responded as he slumped into a nearby chair at the end of the coffee table. "I wasn't expecting you to be here."
"My apologies for coming to your home unannounced, but I really needed some time off after my recent trip to America. Dr. Rinko gave me permission to spend the week here, and your sister has kindly offered to let me share her room. I hope I'm not an inconvenience to you."
"Not at all. I'm glad to have you here," Kirito responded with a small smile.
Kirito couldn't blame Alice for wanting some time off from her rather abnormal life. She was still being paraded around as the world's greatest scientific marvel, which at times was probably like being exhibited as a sideshow freak. Kirito was more than happy enough to provide Alice with an occasional escape from such a life.
Eventually Kirito noticed the T.V. was off. "You know I think that one drama you like is coming on soon."
Alice nodded. "And I would watch it, except it seems your sister has misplaced the wand used to operate your magic viewing window, so I have deemed to read instead."
In other words, Kirito's sister had once again lost the remote for the T.V. It still surprised Kirito how Alice could still refer to pieces of technology as though they were magical objects, but then the world she had grown up in was that of an RPG fantasy. She couldn't help but look at the real world through the lens of her old world.
At last Kirito noticed what book Alice was reading and raised an eyebrow. "You're reading JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?"
"Your friend, Klein insisted I try it," Alice explained as she flipped another page. "Are you familiar with this saga?"
"I read it a few years ago. They kinda lost me after the Stone Ocean arc though. How do you like it?"
"It is interesting, particularly the saga's villain, Dio Brando. This may sound strange, but in some ways he reminds me of the pontifex."
Kirito couldn't help but flinch at the mention of Administrator, the head of the Axiom Church in the Underworld that Alice once served as an Integrity Knight. "You…you really think Dio and Administrator are similar?"
"In some ways," Alice answered as she closed the book and set it on her lap. "They were both extremely charismatic…and quite evil."
Kirito nodded in agreement on those points. He also couldn't help but think about a story about Administrator he had once heard from her opposite number, Cardinal; about how as a girl, Administrator would go out at night to hunt and kill small animals simply to improve her proficiency with the Underworld's sacred arts. Of course given how the Underworld was in many ways no different than any other RPG world, the only way for Administrator to raise her level as a magic user was to gain experience points by using her magic to kill creatures. Even so, when Kirito heard about how the young Administrator like to go out at night and kill small animals for fun, he couldn't help but think about how a lot of serial killers get their start. It was through the study of the FBI's profiling of serial killers that the author of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure had developed his iconic villain.
The fact was Administrator was incredibly evil. She saw her subjects as nothing more than files to be manipulated, and Alice had been one of her victims. As he pondered all of this, Kirito came to the conclusion that Administrator and the fictional Dio Brando were of the same level of evil. Plus just as Dio and his actions had left an enduring legacy not unlike like a curse that would occasionally crop up to plague the Joestar family in the manga, Administrator had left her own cursed legacy that likely still plagued the Human Empire of the Underworld even in the smallest of ways.
"Recently I finished the chapter where the character of Kakyoin flashed back to the first time he had encountered Dio," Alice continued. "It reminded me of when I had me the pontifex for the first time."
Kirito nodded. "I can see that. Plus if you think about it, Administrator did seem to have some of the character attributes of a vampire, which is what Dio was."
"Now that you bring it up, I was reminded of the pontifex again while watching a movie your friend, Klein recommended called Lifeforce. Just like the pontifex, the vampire in that movie preferred to walk around without any clothes."
At this, Kirito sighed. "I'm starting to think you shouldn't hang out with Klein so much."
Before the conversation could continue, Kirito's sister, Suguha entered the room. "There you are, Kazuto. I guess you've found out already that Alice is spending the week with us."
"She filled me in," Kirito responded. "So I'm guessing you're making dinner?"
Suguha nodded. "It'll be ready in about an hour."
"I'll take mine up in my room then. Tonight I have a ton of study problems to go over."
"Oh no you don't, mister!" Suguha responded as she pointed the ladle she was holding at him. "You're going to sit at the table and eat with the two of us. Well, with me anyway. Alice can't eat or drink anything because…you know."
"The limits of this metal body of mine are displeasing at times," Alice remarked with a sigh.
"Getting back to my point though, I've hardly seen you at all these past few weeks," Suguha continued. "Plus poor Alice hasn't seen you at all with the way they've been dragging her around the world. I get you have to study for exams, but can't you take a break for one night?"
Kirito let out a defeated sigh. "Okay, I'll sit with you guys for dinner, but afterwards I'm heading straight up to my room to study."
"I admire your diligence Kirito, but surely you could afford to take one night of rest," Alice remarked.
"You'd think so, but you don't know what it's like preparing for these entrance exams. I've been pulling all-nighters for the past few weeks studying."
"Just how late are you staying up?" Alice asked with a tone of worry in her voice.
"He's been staying up until almost 4:00 AM," Suguha answered. "I'm worried if he keeps this pace up, he's going to make himself sick."
Alice came over to Kirito's chair to take a closer look at him. "You do look rather pale, and I don't like the looks of those bags under your eyes. I doubt your studies would suffer greatly if you only took one night off to rest."
"She's right, Kazuto. Take the night off," Suguha told him.
Kirito could see he was fighting a losing battle and let out another defeated sigh. "I'll think about it, okay?"
Suguha nodded. "Okay then. Now come join Alice and I in the dining room."
"But you said dinner wouldn't be ready for an hour!"
"True, but you can keep Alice and I company."
"But I'm comfortable here!"
"No arguing!" Alice responded as she and Suguha pulled Kirito out of the chair by his arms. "We're going to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't sneak up to your room later to study. You and I can sit at the table and talk while your sister finishes dinner. Now let's go."
Kirito groaned in defeat as the girls dragged him to the dining room. It was clear he was up against an unstoppable foe.
Though Kirito had seriously considered taking the night off, in the end he immediately hit the books as soon as he made it up to his room. Unfortunately all of the information in his textbooks and on his computer screen seemed to vanish from his mind the instant after he read it. All of the facts and figures Kirito tried to memorize were like grains of sand passing through his fingers. After a few hours of futile study Kirito at least leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes as he pinched the bridge of his nose. When he opened his eyes again, Kirito glanced over at the nightstand next to his bed and noticed his amusphere resting atop it. Kirito sighed longingly at the device, wishing he could place it on his head and dive into the world of ALO to go on a quest, but his time and attention were needed elsewhere.
Kirito decided he needed a short break though, so he leaned back in his office chair and closed his eyes to rest them for a bit. It seemed like only a second had gone by though when he suddenly heard a loud banging noise almost like an explosion. Kirito's eyes shot open the moment he heard the sound, and as he sat up in his chair he noticed that a thick etherial blue mist was covering the floor of his room. He quickly swiveled his chair around and saw someone standing in the doorway to his room. The person in question was a young woman with long reddish-brown hair, wearing a thin white silk robe ending well above the knee, and a large white bow on the back of her head.
Recognizing the woman, Kirito quickly got to his feet. "Asuna? What're you doing here?"
Asuna smirked and sauntered over to him. "Is why I'm here really important? Let's just stop thinking and have a little fun."
Before Kirito could ask what she meant, Asuna undid her robe and let it fall to the ground, displaying her naked body for all to see. Kirito suddenly felt his pants become uncomfortably tight. Asuna came over to Kirito and placed a fiery kiss on his lips as she wrapped her arms around him. Kirito returned the kiss and their tongues ground against one another in each other's mouths. When they finally broke apart for air, Kirito found his own clothes had vanished. The walls and all of the furniture in his room except for the bed had disappeared as well.
Asuna took Kirito's hand and guided him over to the bed. She pushed him down onto the bed and quickly mounted him, moaning as his rock-hard rod entered her. Slowly Asuna began to rock her hips, causing Kirito to experience waves of pleasure. Kirito soon noticed though that there was something a little off about Asuna. There was a strange look in her eyes he had never seen from Asuna before. The bow Asuna still wore in her hair was also a little unusual, though Kirito paid little mind to it as she had worn such a bow during their time together in the Underworld.
In the end Kirito decided to ignore these oddities about his girlfriend and became lost in the pleasure she was giving him. He focused his attention on the bouncing of Asuna's breasts as she continued to ride him into the ground. An eternity went by and at last Kirito could feel he was getting close to his climax. He could also feel Sauna's inner walls tightening around his rode. In one blissful moment the two of them climaxed. Kirito threw his head back as his orgasm stuck him.
When Kirito finally looked back up at his girlfriend though, he was horrified to see a shocking change. Asuna had transformed into another woman, still young and quite beautiful, but not Asuna at all. Kirito knew who the woman was though. She had long blue hair decorated with the same white bow Asuna had been wearing, and a pair of mirror-like eyes.
The blue-haired woman grinned triumphantly down at Kirito. "You thought you were making love to your beloved Asuna, but it was I, Administrator the whole time." A long neatly cut shard of white crystal suddenly materialized in her hand. "Now then, time to make you into my newest Integrity Knight."
Kirito's eyes snapped open and he bolted up in his chair, screaming at the top of his lungs. Though the dream was over, its final scene with Administrator replayed before his eyes as if on a loop. All he could see was the image of the horrid blue-haired succubus grinning down at him. Kirito was so horribly lost in his terror he didn't notice at all when someone came into his room, spun him around in his chair and began shaking him vigorously. He only stopped screaming and came back to his senses when a hand slapped him hard across the face. Kirito saw Alice standing in front of him with her hands clamped onto his shoulders and a look of worry on her face. He also saw Suguha standing right behind the blond, looking equally as worried. In a few moments Kirito's proper perspective of reality was finally starting to return.
"By the gods, Kirito!" Alice exclaimed. "What's the matter with you?"
Kirito heaved a heavy sigh of relief. "Oh man! Oh man, what a nightmare!"
Suguha came over and put a hand on Kirito's sweat-covered forehead. "You're burning up!"
"I thought you were going to take a night off from your studies," Alice sternly reminded him as she crossed her arms.
"And I should've," Kirito admitted. "Oh man."
"You're going to bed right now," Suguha ordered. "After you change out of those clothes, that is. You're covered in sweat."
Kirito sighed. "If you had the kind of nightmare I did, you would be too."
"Was it really so terrible?" Alice asked.
Kirito nodded. "Probably the worst I've ever had."
"You should tell us then. It should make you feel better."
"She's right Kazuto," Suguha agreed.
Here Kirito blushed. "You…you really don't wanna hear what my nightmare was about."
"We're not leaving until you tell us," Alice declared, still with her arms crossed.
Suguha had placed her hands on her hips, the expression on her face nearly identical to Alice's. He found once again there was no way he could defeat such an unstoppable tag team. Neither was going to leave until they heard the details of his nightmare. Kirito was at least glad his adopted A.I. daughter, Yui was currently with Asuna. He certainly didn't want his little girl to know anything about this.
"Okay, I'll tell you, but you both have to promise not to tell anyone else about this," Kirito told them.
"You have my word as a knight," Alice assured him.
"I promise not to tell a soul," Suguha agreed.
Kirito nodded and took a deep breath before starting. "Okay, so in the nightmare I was studying when Asuna suddenly showed up, and the two of us started…you know…"
"Know what?" Alice asked with a raised eyebrow.
Kirito looked away as his face turned bright red. "We had sex in the dream, okay?"
Alice's expression quickly soured. "I now regret asking about this."
"Ditto," Suguha agreed with an equally displeased expression.
"Will you just let me finish?" Kirito snapped. The two girls nodded for him to continue. "Okay, so after Asuna and I finished…you know…Asuna had turned into Administrator. That's when I woke up."
"The…the pontifex?" Alice asked with eyes wide with shock and a voice much higher than normal. Her body began to vibrate like a ringing smart phone, which seemed to be the android equivalent of a human shuddering. "Yes, I can see how such a dream could be…disturbing."
"Wait, are you guys talking about the woman who ran that big church in the Underworld you told me about?" Suguha asked.
Alice nodded. "She was quite beautiful, I'll admit. But she was also a monster."
"Anyway, I really don't wanna think about this right now guys," Kirito told them. "I should go to bed and hope I don't have any dreams that are even worse."
"Of course. We'll let you retire," Alice responded.
Alice and Suguha left the room to allow Kirito to change into his sleep ware. They hung around outside his door though in case something happened to him.
"What I can't figure out is why Kazuto would suddenly have a nightmare about Administrator after all this time," Suguha remarked.
"It's likely my fault," Alice answered. "I mentioned the pontifex to Kirito earlier this evening. The conversation probably stirred up a lot of unpleasant memories."
"But still, a sex dream?"
"As I said, the pontifex was quite beautiful, and she took great pride in her beauty. When Kirito and I fought her, she wore hardly a scrap of clothing."
A look of disgust formed on Suguha's face. "She fought in the nude?"
Alice nodded. "Of course at the time Kirito paid little attention to such things."
Suguha nodded and opened Kirito's door a crack to peek into his room. The dark-haired swordsman was in bed, seemingly fast asleep.
Satisfied her brother seemed to be doing okay, Suguha closed the door. "Looks like he's doing okay. I just hope he doesn't have any more of those weird sex nightmares during the night. I mean, can you imagine?"
Alice did indeed do just that, and soon her entire body began to vibrate again, or rather shudder. "You keep an eye on him. I'm going to log into ALO and visit the Undine Baths."
"At this hour? Why?"
"Because I desperately need to cleanse myself, and this metal body of mine isn't waterproof!" Alice answered as she walked down the hall.
FIN
Afterward (And Apology): So yeah, I pretty much faked you all out there, didn't I? You all thought you were getting another steamy Kirito and Asuna oneshot when in actuality it was my own somewhat sloppy attempt to compare Administrator to iconic JoJo's Bizarre Adventure villain, Did Brando. In truth, the idea for this story came to me one day in the car when I was driving to my job and I was comparing these two villains in my head. I ended up remembering that popular Internet meme of Dio from a few years back, and thus the idea for this story was born.
It could be I'm totally off base here though thinking that Administrator and Dio are even remotely similar. Anyone is welcome to try and refute me in a review. I just couldn't help but think about Dio though when I saw the anime series version of Administrator's origin story, or when Alice recounted the first time she met Administrator in person, or when that turncoat scientist attacked Higa during the War of Underworld arc. At the very least Administrator does have some vampire-like qualities to her. During that one scene when poor Eugeo was trying to work up the will to stab the sleeping Administrator with the dagger Cardinal gave him I recall thinking something like, "You fool! You don't hesitate with the wooden stake when you're standing over the open coffin!"
On a similar topic, I once shared this little character comparison with my friend, Firebolt the Blazing Saint, and in response he pointed out how Gabriel Miller, the final villain of the War of Underworld arc could be considered SAO's version of Diamond Is Unbreakable villain, Yoshikage Kira. It's funny he made this comparison because both Miller and Kira have very similar death scenes in their respective stories.
Please review and let me know what you think.
