"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for."
It was the moment that Sirius Black was waiting for years. He had been freed from all the charges, the real criminal Peter Pettigrew was captured and was being taken to Azkaban, he could now live his life like a normal Wizard, and not like a mass murderer. And it was all thanks to his Godson,
Harry Potter.
The way his godson had managed all the things still mesmerized. How cool and collected he had been, how he handled the situation, how he presented him with a proper trial, how he insulted the whole Wizengamot just for him, and how he broke into Azkaban for him. He did all for him, just for him.
Without a second thought, he leaped at his Godson, wrapped his strong arms around his body, and hugged tightly. A few fresh tears escaped from his eyes, which ruined Harry's T-shirt, but he did not care, and neither did his Godson. Harry hugged him back without shame, "We did it," Sirius whispered, "We did it."
Harry grinned at him, "Indeed, we did it."
Shouts of approval roared throughout the chamber, as the two hugged each other, but it looked like Harry was not finished.
Reluctantly, Sirius let go of his godson who adjusted his robes, Harry turned to the whole Wizengamot with his eyes giving a fierce look. He said as he looked at the Wizengamot, "And yeah, any alliance and all alliance House Of Black has which is not facilitated by me, Sirius Black or Arcturus Orion Black, is hereby void and null, if you cunts owe us many, then I am expecting that money by Monday, which is three days from now on." He finished with a glare.
There were some uncomfortable, and nervous shifts from the crowd. David Nott sneered at Harry, "You are no Lord, Potter, you have no right to cancel an alliance."
Harry looked at him, and then laughed, perplexing the whole hall, "I have a title, you inept shit," Harry said to Nott, who was now red. "As for that Lord part, yes I am not Lord, but it is mentioned in Wizarding Constitution of Magical Britain that an heir will fulfill the Lord's role, if the Lord has not accepted the Lordship or he is frail to perform his duty, and as you can see that Sirius is both, surely you know this, Minister, Lord Nott." He finished with a sneer of his own.
Fudge was now panicking, and sweating buckets, Harry and Sirius went outside from the court, ignoring the voices from the hall.
They heard heavy footsteps coming towards them, they turned around to see Lucius Malfoy approaching. Harry and Sirius looked at each other, and then shared a similar smirk. As Lucius came near him, they looked at him, internally laughing.
"Ah, Lucius, how can I help you?" Harry asked, his voice was full of mirth.
Lucius gave them both a forced smile before he bowed, surprising Harry! "Lord Potter, Lord Back," He respectfully nodded to them, "May I talk to you both for a minute?" Harry gave him a look that said, 'Continue.'
"I have made several investments, and Alliance on behalf of the Black family," He explained them both, he continued, "I also have a beneficial party that wanted an alliance with the House Of Black."
Sirius, surprisingly, said, "Why, Lucius? Have I allowed you?" He asked him, raising his eyebrows. Lucius swallowed deeply and shook his head. "Then, those investments and alliances are void and null, as my Godson had said previously, have you not heard it, Lucius?" The Black Patriarch taunted him.
"You have no idea about what you are doing." Lucius hissed at him and Harry.
Harry interrupted before Sirius could say anything, "Oh, how I know what I am doing, people with shitty brains like yours will never understand." Harry snarked, earning a peal of stifled laughter from Sirius.
"You are saying a lot, boy," Lucius said, with distaste evident in his voice.
"Boy? I must say- aren't you supposed to be the boy? The boy spends 1 hour a day arranging his hair." Lord Potter retorted as Lucius' face was now the color of puce. A chuckle escaped Sirius' mouth, embarrassing the Malfoy Patriarch more.
Lucius was at loss, he was about to take out his wand when he found two wands pointed at either side of his temple. He looked up to see Potter and Black wearing a similar look of smug, and disgust. Both were scowling at him openly, as the slight hint of burning fury could be seen in their eyes.
Harry snarled at him, "Mark my word Lucius, one day I would be the one to kill you, but before that, I would torture you. Tortue you, worse than your master ever did, and then that day, I would sleep at night laughing whilst you will be howling in pain." He finished, with a hiss of Parseltongue at the last part. Lucius turned pale as a sheet from the threat, the fact there was confidence in the boy's eyes, made him paler.
But Harry was not finished here, he continued, "Don't I know who gave the diary to Miss Weasley," he smirked at him. The Malfoy Lord sweated buckets and was desperate to leave, but he tried to defend himself, "You have no proof," he replied, somewhat smugly.
Harry raised his eyebrows at the subtlety of the man, "Do you think I would need proof? No… firstly- I am the Boy Who Lived, my word is enough to shake magical Britain to the core, and even the Ministry could not prevent it. Secondly- I am head of two houses and heir of one. And all are Most Ancient and Noble, all have 5 votes each, in total 15 votes. Thirdly- I could provide the memory of how you gave the book to Miss Weasley, and how I destroyed it. And fourthly- Oh my idiot Lucius, you just admitted it now." He said the last part with a laugh which ached Malfoy to the heart. Black, too, laughed at him openly and did not dare to contain it.
"But, I won't tell the Ministry… right now." The boy continued shocking Lucius.
"You won't?" He asked hoarsely.
The boy shook his head, "I won't, and perhaps I never will. But… I need something in return."
"What?" Lucius' hoarse voice said, "What do you need?" He repeated.
The boy shook his head in denial, "Not now, Lucius, but one day, and the day will come when I will ask what I need." He finished with a smirk, as he and Black left.
{SCENE BREAK}
There was a thought going on in Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore and he could not stop it, or rather he did not want to stop it. This thought revolved around Sirius Black and Harry Potter, more profusely- how Sirius Black, who he thought was the Secret Keeper and the Mass Murderer, was innocent, and Pettigrew, who was still alive, was the criminal.
Never in his life, he thought about how cruelly Destiny played with people. Yet, here he was, seeing it in front of not only him but also the whole Wizarding World. The Sirius Black, he knew, was a jovial and cheerful man with a cheeky persona, but this Sirius Black was different- this Black was more solemn, focused, spoke less, observational, collective, calm, resourceful, perhaps the traits of Slytherin house were showing in his personality.
After all, the Blacks were notoriously secretive just like the Potters.
Potter.
How did Harry Potter come in contact with Sirius Black? This was another question revolving in his mind. Harry Potter had spoken his statement under Veritaserum, right? He must be telling the Truth.
But Veritaserum could be cheated, a seventh-level adept Occlumens could cheat it easily.
But Harry Potter was not an adept level Occlumens, at least… for now. Albus knew that the boy was going at an incredibly fast rate. Even he could not compare a 13-year-old himself to Harry Potter. He was skilled Legilimens too. The preview of his skill- the Wizengamot session at which assigned proxies. So, how? Perhaps, Veritaserum was tampered with… Albus declined this possibility, even though Harry had changed now. Albus was confident that he would never be corrupted like… Lucius Malfoy.
Albus snorted at the name. The man was totally at loss at Today's trial, not only Harry legally proved that he was Heir Black but Sirius Black was Lord Black also. Then, there was another possibility.
Anti-veritaserum.
It was most considerable. Sure, those potions were toughest to brew, but then again, we were talking about Harry Potter who had been a pain in the ass for the dark faction since last summer. Also, there were no blood tests taken to ensure if there was any Potion in their vessels.
Yes, Anti-veritaserum was the most likely one.
Shaking these thoughts away, Albus Dumbledore went to Sirius Black to congratulate him, after all, he was one of the people who believed that Sirius Black was guilty of the deaths of the Potters.
{SCENE BREAK}
"Sirius," A voice called him, as he groaned. Sirius knew this voice well enough, it was Headmaster Dumbledore's voice. Truth be told, he did not want to talk to him. Sometimes, he even pondered that he did not trust him as he used to. He was no longer Leader Of Light fanatic, nor he was in no mood to speak to a senile old man, whose beard was longer than most first-year. He snorted when he thought it internally, Harry looked at him curiously, but … he shrugged.
He turned around to see Albus Dumbledore coming towards them with that damn twinkle of his, and a wide smile plastered on his face. When he reached enough distance, Sirius bowed to the man, "Albus." He greeted the man respectfully, "Thank you for supporting me in the trial," He continued.
Albus waved off the 'Thanks,' and continued to smile widely before his expression became sour, "I am sorry, Sirius for believing that you were guilty of those crimes." He told him, sadly as he looked down in shame.
Sirius scowled briefly before wearing the same emotionless mask. During his stay in the Potter Manor, he had been learning Mind Magic all along with Battle Magic, Family Magic, and Politics which would help him to become a perfect lord for the House Of Black. Occlumency helped him a lot to put an end to the horrors of Azkaban.
Those Dementors had made his life miserable. At first, he had to put a lot of effort into the art, but slowly and steadily he had been learning to lock away those Nightmares and he was continuously trying to make his life better … and his Godson's of course.
"It's alright, Albus, you were not the first person who believed that I was guilty," Sirius spat bitterly.
Dumbledore looked at him with solemn eyes, and murmured, "I am really sorry, Sirius. Had I known then … I would have forced the Ministry to give you a proper Trial."
Sirius shrugged, "Well, it does not matter now, I am free. Without any charge, now I can wander the country without any fear." He said with a dreamy look.
Albus hummed in response, but before intercepting, "What are you going to do now? I mean, you are free, the possibilities are endless."
Sirius nodded, "True," He said. "But I think I would take the position of Lord Black," he continued. "I do not want to, or rather I am fed up with a full-time job. I, once, considered rejoining the Aurors, but you know … I think I should focus on House Of Black as there is no Lord to the house, also Peter had been captured, so there is no permanent threat … out there." He finished, with a thoughtful look.
Albus chuckled when Sirius finished his speech, "You are, rather, sounding cunning for a Gryffindor," He said.
Sirius guffawed, "Oh bloody no. My mother was looking forward to a day when I would become her true Slytherin."
Albus hummed in response, "Hmm … Well, it is nice to see you again, I will see you later, Sirius." He politely shook his head as he left them for themselves.
{SCENE BREAK}
Sirius Black innocent; Peter Pettigrew alive, and captured.
BY
Reeta Skeeter
Ladies, and Gentlemen in a piece of rather shocking news, it had been proved that Sirius Black, previously believed the Mass Murderer, betrayer of Potter, and killer of Peter Pettigrew, is innocent; and Peter Pettigrew who had thought to be dead, was alive the whole time, disguised as a rat.
It all started at the emergency session called by Amelia Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Surprisingly, Lord Potter, who is now revealed as Heir Black, attended the session too, despite being a student.
In this trial, Lord Malfoy was accusing him of lying, but the Boy Who Lived clearly stated his facts, and revealed that Sirius Black is not only his sworn godfather but also the current Lord Black. Yes, not only a member of the Most Ancient and Noble House but also a Lord was never given a trial…
According to Madame Amelia Bones, "We never found any legal documentation of Lord Black's trial."
Then, the trial began and Director Bones presented Pettigrew and questioned him under Veritaserum, and he was found guilty. When the Aurors were asked to find Sirius Black, Lord Potter denied it and presented Lord Black who was there in the whole trial just hidden under the invisibility cloak. This also raised questions that Lord Potter had been in touch with Lord Black.
Lord Black was questioned under Veritaserum and was proved innocent. The Court took Lord Potter's statement under Veritaserum to check whether he is the truth or not.
Lord Black and Lord Potter, both have denied giving interviews, but both were ecstatic when Lord Black was freed by the court.
I raise a question and ask- why was Sirius Black never given a trial? Is it not the duty of the Minister, and the Ministry? And who were the people that wronged Lord Black?
To read the whole Trial, go to page number- 3.
As soon as the Daily Prophet landed on each House Table, all began to check the news of the day. Normally, there was not something important -or spicy as people say- and they just read the headlines, and close the paper … vehemently. One copy of Daily Prophet also landed on the staff table, none were aware of what had happened yesterday, and what it had committed.
Minerva McGonagall sipped her green tea, she had found the muggle tea, rather delightful and good for health. Yesterday, Harry Potter had not attended any class, he had just spoken some law and left the school before Scott could utter a word. Albus, when he came back from the Emergency session, wore a stupid grin on his face. When everyone asked what had happened, he refused to reply and simply told to read it in the Daily Prophet.
So here she was, with curiosity killing her mind, waiting for the Daily Prophet to arrive. She watched as the Eagle owl flew, flapping its wing coming towards the Staff Table. As soon as he came any near, he released the Prophet which landed in Minerva's hand. She removed the tape which bound the paper, and let it free.
As soon as she read the headline, she spat her tea which landed on the bread she was eating, gaining the attention of other Professors. The Widening of her eyes was unfathomable, her eyebrows almost disappeared. Her lips became thinner than they were before as she looked at Albus, who was giving a stupid chuckle. With those widened eyes, she read the Prophet indignantly.
Once she was finished, she noticed some tears running down her cheeks, this gained all the other Professors' attention. Remus Lupin, who was sitting beside her, nudged her, "Minerva? What happened?"
Rather than speaking anything, she handed the Prophet to the Werewolf as he looked at the Headline. His reaction was far worse than hers, he was already crying. There were no words that could decipher the turmoil of emotions he was feeling right now by just reading the headlines. With a sore throat and heavy heart, the man continued to read until he reached the last line.
From there he was sobbing uncontrollably. Sobbing at the injustice, sobbing at his friend, sobbing that he had believed that his best friend was guilty, sobbing at his betrayal, sobbing at the suffering Sirius had experienced, and there was no end to this sobbing.
Let these tears flow because these are the tears of the new beginning.
Noticing Remus' condition, people were concerned but when Professor Flitwick asked what had happened, then he was passed by the Prophet. His eyes bulged out from his socket. The reactions continued, and they were more or less the same. (Except Snape who had a scowl on his disgusting face.)
Until now, all the students, teachers, and the staff had read the Prophet, and there was no end to their shock. The Ravenclaws were curious for the detail, Hufflepuffs were shocked, Gryffindor wore a look of disbelief. But … The Slytherins had mixed reactions. They were disgusted that a member of a prominent house, but most did not care that a wrongly convicted criminal was exonerated, they cared about the information that Potter was the heir of Black Family, not ... Malfoy.
Draco Malfoy was burning with rage when he read the Newspaper not only that Blood-traitor black was the lord, but Potter was the heir of the Black family also. Now, he understood the meaning of the smirk that Potter gave him. It was the smirk of his victory. Now Draco did not have any access to the Black Family Money. And Potter held that power raged him the most.
Bang!
The Gate of the Great Hall opened to reveal Sirius Black and Harry Potter. But both looked different than usual. They both were having red puffed cheeks, red eyes, and wayward movements. The red was not like the ones that Harry had, they were fully red. Their movement was not very admirable, and … were they drunk?
Yup, definitely. The smell coming out of Black's mouth was worse than the taste of Skele-gro. Sulking they went to Gryffindor's table, only to find themselves sleeping. All of the students present in the Great Hall were watching their actions intently. All of them rushed towards them. Daphne, Blaise, and Tracey also went from Slytherin, and Neville from Gryffindor.
"What happened to them?" McGonagall's voice echoed throughout the hall.
Neville reached the two before anyone could and went near to Harry's sleeping face, and instantly his nose wrinkled. Neville looked at the teacher with an amused face, "Professor, I think they are drunk."
"What?!" A shout was given by Daphne Greengrass. "They are … they are really drunk," Daphne stammered, she could not believe that Harry's drunk.
"Why do you care, Greengrass?" Seamus Finnigan spat at the Ice Queen, muttering something about slimy snakes.
Before she could reply, Tracey replied casually, "Well, she will care about her Boyfriend, won't she? Right, Daphne?"
Deadly Silence.
No words were heard after Tracey finished her sentence. Some were awed that the Boy Who Lived managed to woo the Ice Queen, some people were shocked to hear that Potter was going out with a snake. The girls were silently fuming that Harry Potter, hell some were even crying!
These some included- Ginny Weasley, who was crying uncontrollably where her elder brother, Ron -surprisingly- was not glaring at Daphne and comforting her. Hermione Granger was looking at the blonde with disbelief. Daphne's face was covered with a deep red hue, whereas the Weasley twins grinned mischievously, "Oh my-"
"-Our Harrykins-"
"-Turned into-"
"-a-"
"Man." They chorused together, making the nearby groan. The whole hall started to whisper violently as Daphne turned around, "Tracey! Look what you've done!" She hissed at her best friend. Tracey had the decency to look abashed, and Blaise found it amusing.
"Enough!" McGonagall snapped, making the Hall silent once again. She looked at Mister Longbottom, "Mister Longbottom, are they both really drunk?" She asked him.
Neville could only nod and shrug as the answer, "Seems like it. At least, according to the smell coming from their mouths, and how tired they look."
Dumbledore nodded in understanding, "Severus, please fetch two hangover Potions."
Severus scowled but complied nonetheless. In the given time, Remus Lupin looked at his best friend firmly, he could not believe that his friend was innocent and in front of his eyes … yet. He looked at both Harry's and Sirius's drunken state. Harry looked exactly like James, even when he was drunk.
He was also surprised that Harry had a girlfriend, but he was happy for him. After all, he also deserved happiness in his life and if she could make him, then Remus was happy. Severus came with two bitter potions in his hands and gave them to Dumbledore. And now the worst part began, to drink it.
Albus took one vial near Sirius's mouth and shoved the drink inside his mouth. For 3 seconds nothing happened, but after that, the grey eyes fluttered, and Sirius Orion Black spat all the Potion on Percy Weasley's face.
Blink …
Blink …
Blink …
Laughter erupted throughout the hall, as Percy Weasley tried desperately to remove the Potion. Meanwhile, Sirius Black could only utter, "What the fuck?!"
"Good you are awake," Snape said drily. Sirius rubbed his eyes in a desperate move to see anything and what he saw made his face sour, "Snivellus, after waking up, the only face I got to see was yours."
"Sirius!" Dumbledore reprimanded in a stern voice. Sirius ruffled his hair nervously, but what he saw next to Dumbledore made his heart stop for a second. With a raspy voice, he spoke, "Mooney?"
Remus' eyes widened, as fresh tears began to develop in his eyes, "Yes, Padfoot?" But the question was no use as the next moment, he was engulfed in a hug. Without a shame, Remus hugged him back, "I never wanted to believe that, Padfoot." He murmured.
Nearby the audience who knew about their friendship was watching with a smile, even Snape did not have his usual scowl. When they were pulled, Sirius grinned mischievously, "So, Remus … captured any hot girl."
Before Remus could reply a shout came, "Sirius Orion Black, you would hold your tongue in front of children! AND WHY HAVE YOU not hugged me?!" McGonagall chastised him with a smile.
Sirius grinned widely, "Still same old hag, huh, Minerva?"
Minerva gave a rare smile, "You bet." Before the two hugged profusely. The relationship between the two was a typical one. Since Sirius Black is and was Sirius Black, he could flirt with anything that breathed, so yeah, just understand it yourselves.
"Merlin, Sirius. I thought that Azkaban would have changed you!" She said with a humorless chuckle.
Sirius gave a bark of laughter, "There is no way in the hell that Azkaban could change the Great Padfoot." This took the attention of the Weasley twins. "Wait, you are the Padfoot," Fred spoke with awe evident in his voice.
Sirius nodded proudly, "Yes, I am Padfoot, why?" He frowned at them. Now, they were coming towards him, "We have your map," George spoke. Sirius furrowed his eyebrows for a second, but then his eyes widened when he heard which map they were talking about. "You have The Map?!"
Remus also recognized which map they were talking about. When they handed him the map, Sirius retrieved his wand from his holster and pointed towards the map, and muttered, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." As soon as the words were spoken, the map opened, showing the locations in Hogwarts.
"Where did you two get it from?" Sirius asked in a childish voice, Remus nodded too. He, too, was curious about it.
Both boys' chest puffed, as George spoke, "Nicked it from Filch, in our first year," They looked quite proud. Sirius patted their heads, and grinned, "Atta boys." The two grinned back, but with curiosity in his voice, Fred asked, "So, you are Padfoot."
Sirius nodded, quite proud of his achievement. "So, who are Prongs, Wormtail, and Mooney?" George continued.
"Well, Prongs is that drunk swine's father," He said, pointing to Harry, "James Potter. Mooney is your Professor Lupin, here." The twins' eyes widened when they got the information that Lupin was also a Marauder, "And, Wormtail is that rat." Sirius spat with venom in his eyes.
The whole was shocked when they heard that the four were best friends, including the rat. Sirius shared some more hugs, laughs, and chat until Daphne introduced herself, "Daphne. Daphne Greengrass," Sirius bowed and kissed her knuckles. Momentarily taken aback by such a formal greeting, Daphne recomposed herself rather quickly.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Heiress Greengrass," Sirius said with a look that would make anyone blush but it did not work on Daphne. 'Of course, the old Lady killer would not stop here.' Remus mused internally as he smacked Sirius' head who 'Ow'ed' in pain, "Behave. She is your Godson's girlfriend," Remus commanded in a stern voice.
Sirius pouted at him, "But that's not fun," he whined. He stopped whining when he got another smack. "Fine, fine," he grumbled. He turned to Daphne, and smirked, "Heiress Greengrass, are you Harry's girlfriend?" He asked innocently with a mischievous tinge in his eyes.
"Yes, Lord Black," she replied with nervousness in her voice.
Sirius snapped, "No this Lord Black system. Just call me Sirius, Lord Black makes me feel old," he explained.
"You are old," Remus pointed.
"Shut up!" Sirius grumbled. He looked at Daphne again, "You know, my Godson is completely smitten on you." He told with an unfriendly innocence.
Tracey murmured in her best friend's ears, "I told you so."
A deep blush covered her face, as she looked at the man, "Really?" Her voice quivered slightly.
Sirius nodded profusely. He started again, "He was-" but was interrupted with Albus Dumbledore's voice, "Sirius, I think that we have much more serious matters to discuss," he told him, ignoring the pun.
"Fine. Spoilsport," Sirius moaned as he looked at the Old Git, "What do we need to discuss?"
Dumbledore inhaled deeply, after he exhaled a few seconds later, he questioned, "How many pegs did young Harry drink?"
Sirius frowned, "Why?"
"The information is needed to determine if we need a more concreted potion or not. The more pegs you take the more potion." He explained.
"Then, why haven't you asked mine?" He inquired suspiciously.
Snape snorted, gaining all the attention, "I know that you pass out after 18 pegs."
Sirius gave him an incredulous look, "And you are observing a lot, Snivvy? Sorry, but I am not in men," Snape was about to reply, when Dumbledore's stern voice reprimanded him, "Sirius," Shutting Sirius he continued, "So, how many pegs did young Harry take?"
Sirius scratched his hair before he spoke thoughtfully, "I d-don't really remember, but around 16 pegs."
"Sixteen?!" McGonagall's, Daphne's, and Remus' shrill voices exploded Sirius eardrums.
Snape laughed grimly, "Well, forget it. I don't have a highly concentrated hangover potion now. Congratulations."
"Can you please make it, sir?" Oliver Wood pleaded, standing up from his seat, "We need him in the Quidditch match."
"Severus please," Dumbledore said before the batman could retort. Severus huffed and left the Hall again.
The silence was broken by Sirius, "Today is a Quidditch match." He asked with exhilaration in his eyes. Oliver nodded along with his fellow teammates. Sirius smiled widely, "Today is the best day."
Indeed!
{SCENE BREAK}
"Welcome ladies and Gentlemen to the first Quidditch game of this year! Today, we have Lord Sirius Black who just had been exonerated from a false crime! If any of you, don't know. Lord Black- "
"Just call me, Sirius," Black interrupted Jordan.
"Of course, Sirius! Sirius was one of the best beaters Hogwarts had ever seen! Now, onto the teams! The noble and brave Gryffindors have Oliver Wood as their keeper! Weasley twins as the beaters. For chasers, we have Angelina Johnson, Katie Bell, and Alicia Spinnet! All are rather attractive girls and Angelina's ass-"
"Jordan!" McGonagall scolded from her seat.
"Sorry Profesor. And as the seeker, we have HARRY POTTER!" The crowd immediately roared in cheers, and Slytherins were jeering except the three that Harry had befriended. As the silence fell over the student body, Jordan continued, "Now onto those slimy, slithery, sewage-"
"Jordan!"
"Slytherins. We have their cheating captain-"
"Jordan!"
"Marcus, who is a chaser. Bole and Pucey are also chasers. Malfoy as the seeker who..." Jordan, then explained the beater, rules, and all that stuff.
"I want a nice and clean game," Hooch announced, as she let the three balls fly in the sky.
"The game begins. Gryffindor is in possession. Katie Bell has the Quaffle as she flies towards the Slytherin post. Bole is pushing her at the edge, bloody cheater!" This was met by another 'Jordon.'
"Katie passes to Alicia, who further passes to Angelina." Now Slytherin beaters were focusing on Angelina with continuous efforts of making her fall. Angelina held the Quaffle for some more time until she reached so near to the Goalpost, where she threw the Quaffle at her, and it was grabbed by ... Harry.
"HARRY POTTER has grabbed the Quaffle, throwing the whole Slytherin into a fit!" The team was confused immensely at the sudden change of the Gryffindor Team's strategy. Harry and the team had discussed the whole strategy before. It, definitely, was tough to practice but they managed it.
Malfoy accelerated his broom ...in rage? ... and went in front of Harry to block him, but rather than dodging Harry just passed the Quaffle to Katie who kept the game in play.
She passed it to Angelina, who was in the middle of the two chasers. She launched in front of the Slytherin and passed the ball to Alicia. She passed it to Harry, who made a faux throwing stance for which the Slytherin keeper fell for. As the keeper came close to him for blocking him, Harry quickly passed the ball to Katie who scored.
"Score! And Gryffindor is leading by 10-0."
Sirius cheers' intensity increased as he laughed, "Take that, you slimy snakes! No one is going to escape my Godson's wrath!"
"As Sirius said- Take that, you slimy snake!"
"Jordon! Sirius!"
"Sorry Professor!" Both mumbled an apology.
The game continued as the Gryffindors led the game by 60-20. 'My plan has worked properly,' Harry mused internally. How much you could surprise people by some simple, but old, and forgotten trick. After Harry had started studying more promisingly, then he stumbled upon a book called 'The Old is Gold: The Book Of Forgotten Facts.'
Harry had started reading the book out of curiosity, and after 5 facts, he was simply attracted to the book. He even sent 500 galleons to the Author of the book, but unfortunately, the man was dead, and then money was transferred to his son.
When Harry had told that rule to Oliver, he had been intrigued and flummoxed, but he eventually agreed, which lessened their training, and they did not beat the shit out of each other.
"Draco Malfoy has seen the Snitch, and he is following it," Jordan commented, as Harry was snapped out of his thoughts. He looked for Malfoy, who was desperately trying to catch the snitch. Harry accelerated his broom, following Malfoy closely from behind.
"Potter had seen the snitch too, closely following Malfoy! I think Potter will catch the snitch, not Malfoy, after all, Malfoy brought his way to the team-"
"Jordan!"
Jordan groaned, "Please, Professor! Can you not interrupt for a minute?!" This time, it was McGonagall's turn to get embarrassed. Harry followed Malfoy as they turned, and twirled into their broom. Harry would be damned if he admitted that Malfoy was a fair flier. Not in the category of good, but yeah- Adequate.
Suddenly, the weather became chilly. The same cold feeling that Harry loathed washed over their body. Harry's emerald eyes turned into Demon red, with orange rings.
Hundreds and Hundreds of Dementors surrounded Harry and Draco. Harry was surprised to see that Draco's pale face could turn even paler. Harry retrieved his wand, and softly spoke, "Expecto Patronum."
The massive Zouwu appeared in front of the Dementors, roaring at them as the Dementors screamed in agony. Harry saw in the satisfaction that Dementors were retrieving, he was surprised to see a Phoenix, a Dog, and a cat chasing the Dementors. Needless to say, they were extremely small.
Harry placed his wand back in the holster when the Dementors were away, but he found something heavy in his pocket. Taking out, he saw the snitch. Jordan noticed it too, and shouted at the amplified microphone, "And Harry Potter has caught the Snitch which GRYFFINDOR WINS!"
{SCENE BREAK}
"Damn it!" Neville Longbottom cursed as he still was having a problem with producing the Corporeal Patronus. After seeing Harry, Neville had been determined that he would produce a Patronus and make his Grandmother proud. It was such a simple yet difficult goal.
For Neville, his Grandmother had been all. She had been the person who raised him since he was an infant. Sure she was strict and stern. There was no arguing to it, but inside that strict, and stern poker-face only Neville could see a beautiful, loving, and caring Lady.
For her, he is her treasure, and for him, she is his treasure, and nothing could change that.
His best friend entered the common room after some chat with his Godfather. Neville also introduced himself to Sirius back, to which the man replied warmly. Since his best friend's confrontation with Ron, things had been sour for him. From that time, Harry had been taking interest in him for which had been grateful.
"So, what happened now, Neville?" He asked him, gaining his attention. He smirked, "After all, it is not every day when Neville Longbottom curses." He mused aloud.
"Shut up, Potter. Don't think that I would not hex you," Neville grumbled.
Harry gave him a mock salute, "Never will." He said, "So, they tell what happened?" He questioned him, again.
"I am just struggling with a spell," He told him, lamely.
"Which spell?" Harry pressed more.
"Patronus Charm," He mumbled, unhearable. Harry came close to him, "I beg your pardon."
"Patronus Charm," He said aloud.
"Show me," Harry stated, firmly.
"Show me what?" He grumbled in annoyance.
"Show me the Patronus Charm, I want to see it," Harry repeated as his eyes were fixed on his.
"Fine," He huffed, retrieving his wand, he spoke softly, "Expecto Patronum." There was no reaction, no misty shield, no sparks, nothing.
"Your spell is not showing any signs," Harry stated blandly.
Neville snapped, "I can see that!" He continued, "It showed when my father produced," He muttered, but it was audible.
Harry frowned, "What do you mean by 'it showed when my father produced?'"
"I said what it means. The wand produced Patronus when my father produced it." He said, lamely.
Harry's frown deepened, "How would your father produce Patronus with your wand?"
"It is not my wand, it is my father."
Harry laughed at him, but he stopped when he saw his look, "You are serious?"
"No it is my Godfather, and yeah I am telling the truth."
Harry clapped his hands violently, "That's why! That's why!"
"That's why what?"
"Neville, you can't do basic charms because this is not your wand. Remember a wand chooses a wizard. Get your own wand, and then use charms. The result definitely would be better."
Neville's eyes widened but then he grinned, "Really?" He asked, exhilarated. Harry nodded in response, "Thanks, Harry."
"Don't mention it," Harry whispered, "Don't ever mention it."
Author's Note
Another one down, and I hope that you have enjoyed it. This chapter was purposely made for fun, kind of filler chapter, but yeah. Try to accept it.
Third-year is longer than I expected it to be. And I think it would take a couple more chapters to finish the year. The next chapter will be a fun one, so I await your reviews.
Once again, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
Thank You,
