It has been months now since their trip to Kyoto. As if it didn't happen at all. Fuutaro was still a mess even after those months ago in Kyoto. Still flustered with Ichika and Miku's actions. It is an event that would make a mark in his mind.

Now, what awaits them is another examination period, and like always the quintuplets were tutored by Fuutaro. For the quintuplets, they were glad he was their tutor. For Fuutaro, he still has to deal with the hell hole he is in. A hell hole that he was quite having fun in, something that he wouldn't admit to others.

The Nakano quintuplets had changed because of him, and in turn he had changed as well because of them. And right now, he was just finishing his shift before going to the Nakano's to tutor them once more.

"Uesugi-Kun!" Yelled Itsuki as she noticed his breathing as they went up the skiing track.

"And I love you…" Miku said, pointing at him.

"There you go, getting bummed out again." A woman said. Fuutaro took notice and then looked to his right. It was Rena. "You haven't changed, have you… Uesugi Fuutaro-kun." She added.

"Goodbye." Rena said as Fuutaro fell into the water.

"He's innocent." A girl said. Fuutaro then turns around to see a girl with long red-pinkish hair, with blue eyes. "I saw what happened." She added.

"You're an outsider." Nino said as she pointed at him.

"Uesugi-kun." Someone said as he got shaken.

"5 more minutes Raiha." Fuutaro responded. Still not choosing to wake up. He is currently sleeping on one of the counters of the bakery.

"Uesugi-kun!" Yelled the manager as he was now losing patience on Fuutaro's sleepy ass.

"Agh- I'm awake! I'm awake!" Responded Fuutaro as he shot up from his sleep. Papers stuck to his head, while the others flew everywhere. He then looks at his phone at the message he sent minutes ago before he fell asleep. By now, it was five in the afternoon.

"Had another all-nighter?" The manager asks.

"Yeah, I still have to tutor those five idiots." He replied with a smirk on his face as he picked up the papers on the floor.

"You really need to have time to yourself, Uesugi-kun." The manager said as he now helps him out.

"I need to make a living, you know? I'm the one providing for my family's needs." Fuutaro said, laughing it off.

The manager was left silent at Fuutaro's statement. Man sure is having the tough part of life first. He should be enjoying his youth, but for some, living in their prime is something they disregard as unnecessary. Survival is the main law in their minds. Sometimes resulting in a dry husk of a man, no glint of happiness coming from his eyes.

As the manager was deep in his thoughts, Fuutaro was ready to go. He had his papers ready, some still have drool on them.

"Well, I'd better get going now. They are probably waiting for me." Fuutaro said, about to leave the establishment.

"Oh right, good luck with your second job." The manager said, giving him a smile like that when the quintuplets ordered a cake from them in christmas.

And then, as soon as Fuutaro left, he made his way to the Nakano's. It was about to be night. The sky was painted orange as the sun was setting. It was quite peaceful. Quiet and peaceful. There was little presence of others at this time.

Business men can be seen walking home, while other students are seen still sticking around with their groups of friends. Just another normal day for Uesugi Fuutaro. Very few cars drove by the street this time.

'Huh, this is the only time I've walked alone again with this peaceful atmosphere.' He thought as he walked on.

His mind then proceeds to show the memories of each of the Nakano sisters. The times they were happy, that one time he accidentally tore them apart, the cultural festival and the other events they were with him.

He then proceeds to look up at the beautiful setting sun. He admires it for a second.

'If I hadn't met them, I would haven't changed.' He thought.

'I wish you were here Rena.' He added. It was true that he had moved on from that, but it was also a bit of a small lie. A small part of him is still clinged on to Rena. He was still curious as to why she said 'Goodbye' to him.

'Never mind that, you need to look at what's happening now.' He berated himself. 'You still have to teach those idiots.' He added.

He then stops beside a shop's window. He could see his reflection.

'A lot has changed huh?' He asks himself. And once more he thought of the Nakano quintuplets.

'Heh, a lot has changed.' He confirms with a smile on his face. He then goes back to walking, still continuing his train of thoughts.

'I'd forgotten since when I'd started that diary, but with the way things have been going, it will be full in two years.' He thought as he still wore his smile.

If there was something he is truly grateful for in life, it is that he met those five girls. Even though at first things were rough, in the end, he had made a special bond with them. Not that of tutor to student, but that of friendship.

Even though some of the sisters were falling for him by this point, he still sees them as friends equally. Besides, if he treats one with specialty, chances are they all will want that special treatment. Who knows when one of them decides to become a yandere and kill off the others. That truly would be a nightmare. Such thought would send shivers down everyone's spines.

He is essentially in a minefield when he's with them, trying not to give special treatment to anyone. To this Ichika, Miku and Nino were quite sad. After all, those three hold feelings for Fuutaro the most out of the five of them. It would be a deathmatch between those three. A deathmatch he wouldn't want to see. A deathmatch he will never witness.

"AAHHH!" A woman shrieks, to which Fuutaro's train of thought gets cut off. The woman shrieked because she saw a man pull out a knife.

"Huh?" He utters as he turns around to see who this shrieking woman was. Unlucky for him, his killer was just inches away.

He then turns around, only to widen his eyes. The assailant was too close, reacting now was pointless. For Fuutaro, it is as if time had slowed down for him to have a few more thoughts to be processed.

And within seconds the knife had hit its mark. Diving deep into Uesugi's guts, deep enough that it had entered ¾ ways into it.

'Dammit!' He cursed in his thoughts as he now coughs out blood, and blood starts to run out of his open wound. At this rate he'll die of blood lost.

The assailant pulls out his knife, and tries to run away as Fuatro falls to the ground, holding his stomach in pain, but alas, the man gets tackled to the ground as officers respond immediately.

"Don't struggle, dammit!" Yelled the officer as he was putting on cuffs on the bastard's hands.

"Someone get help!" A bystander yells, everyone not knowing what to do with the bleeding boy on the ground.

'AGH, this fucking hurts!' He thought as he was now internally screaming of pain. Eventually a pool of blood had formed beneath him, no one still taking initiative on helping the boy.

While the crowd were panicking, and/or were still in shock, Fuutaro slowly lost consciousness. One of his eyes had lost vision completely, that eye lost all color.

'Am I really dying?' He thought that he couldn't feel the pain anymore. More blood comes out of his mouth as he coughs, struggling to breathe.

'I still need to teach them though.' He said, only a little bit of his consciousness was left. He couldn't feel his arms, his legs, and the rest of his body except for his head.

Futuaro just mentally sighs, he feels bad for Raiha to take up what was supposed to be his duties at that young age.

'I'm sorry Raiha, dad.' He thought once more. But by this time like any other story out there, help comes in late. Paramedics have now arrived and one was on top of his head, coming into the small bit of vision of Fuutaro.

He couldn't hear what they were saying, he could barely see the man's mouth move. His last eye with vision was now about to give up as the tiniest bits of consciousness were now leaving him.

'Why are you always so late.' Were his last thoughts.

And before anyone knew it, his consciousness was gone and so was his life. Uesugi Fuutaro never thought that this day will be the final day he'll meet those sisters. The final day he'll see them in school, happy as if there's nothing to worry about. The last day of him tutoring them and having to go through the struggles of teaching them. The last day he was with them.

Earlier...

The group could be seen exiting the school premises, walking along each other. Another school day was complete, and another day has gone by as the exams were getting closer and closer. They knew if they failed this time, there's a high chance the Nakano's father would be more likely to lean on firing Uesugi for real this time without their consent.

"You're coming over again right, Uesugi-san?" Yotsuba asks Fuutaro with her usual energy.

"Well, exams are right around the corner again, and I have to tutor you all again." Fuutaro replied.

"Don't worry Fuutaro-kun, we'll study hard again like the last time we did." Ichika replied, a smile forming on her face.

"Mhm, we will pass again Fuutaro, don't worry." Miku reassures him.

"Well, you all better pass. Because if you don't your father might actually fire me for good, or actually kill me." He replied, uttering the last part with a grim expression.

"Don't be that grim, he won't do that." Itsuki said.

"You overthink too much, Fuu-kun." Nino commented with a huffing her cheeks.

"What! I don't think I could face him at all!" Fuutaro argues.

Ichika giggles at Fuutaro's sentiment.

"Oh don't be like that Fuutaro-kun, he's just like that sometimes." Ichika said in a joking manner.

Fuutaro wore an expression of concern while the Nakano sister continued giggling.

"So you have to work first?" Miku asks him.

"Yeah, I kinda have to." Fuutaro replied, scratching the back of his head.

Miku responded with a pout on her face, to which Fuutaro was confused.

"What's the pout for?" He asks her.

"Just don't be late like last time." She said she clings onto one of his arms.

"O-Of course! I won't be late!." Fuutaro said, rather flustered with what's happening between them, blushing red hot.

"You know Fuu-kun." Nino voiced out. "You've been late, lately." She said.

"Well, I have my own studies to do, and I have to prepare the mock tests for all of you." He replied, as Miku was still clinging onto his arm. She was clearly savoring and enjoying this moment.

"Huh, fair enough." Yotsuba replied.

"Alright, enough chatter, looks like we're here Uesugi-kun." Itsuki said as they all stopped.

"Right, I guess I'll see you later." Fuutaro said as he waved goodbye to them as he was about to enter the bakery.

"See you later!" The five sisters said in unison, waving goodbye at him. Little did they know it was a 'Goodbye' that would shatter their hearts.

Present…

"It's been two hours now, where the hell is Fuu-kun?" Nino said, with a pout on her face, clearly getting impatient once again. And once again she's the one cooking for tonight's dinner, being helped by Miku.

"Well, shouldn't you be with him since you also work there?" Miku asks.

"Well, I asked if I could have a day-off today, since we've got exams to study for." Nino said as she now walked over to the couch to rest.

"I'm sure Uesugi-kun is late because he had to do a lot of work because you weren't there." Yotsuba theorizes, somewhat teasing the second sister.

In response Nino just glares at Yotsuba, to which Yotsuba backs off, sweating like crazy. She is not facing the wrath of Nino today.

"Now that aside, should we wait for him-" Before Ichika could even finish her question, Itsuki's stomach groaned.

"Ehehe~" Itsuki couldn't utter anything else, other than an awkward laugh.

"Looks like we're eating without him then." Ichika said, shaking her head slowly in disappointment.

"Okay!" Responded the other four sisters as they prepared to eat their dinner.

While in the midst of their dinner, some small talk happened. Talks about how their day had gone, stuff like that. But there is one particular topic that was brought up. A topic that would generally enter the sisters' minds from time to time.

While giggling after recalling some past events, Ichika brought something up.

"You know, what would be our lives if Fuutaro-kun hadn't been our tutor?" She asks them, while imagining another reality where Fuutaro didn't enter their lives. Safe to say her imagination was not that good, rather grim in all honesty.

As soon as she brought that up, the others went silent, drifting into their own thoughts. Letting their imaginations plate out scenarios in their heads where Fuutaro was just another bystander in their lives, and not someone who had helped them in their studies. Someone who had not entered their lives and left a permanent mark in their minds.

"I think we wouldn't have changed…" Miku responded, her voice was so low, yet heard by everyone. Sure there were times they acted like brats in the early days with him, but as he continued tutoring them, their bonds grew and grew. Developing something within all the sisters in the process.

"Well, at least we met him right?" Itsuki voiced out to keep everyone's moods up, to which everyone did agree on.

"Moving on from that, why is Fuu-kun taking so long?" Nino asks her sisters. "Hasn't anyone got a message from him?" She added.

Then, all of them pulled out their phones, checking their messages. But finally, they saw his message.

"I'm coming by now, you five better be prepared once I get there." They repeated the words in his message.

"He sent that like three hours ago." Nino was the first one to point out. Right now, the time is 7:45 in the evening.

"Yeah, he must be right around the corner by this point." Itsuki said, reassuring the rest.

"Well, with that, should we clean up now?" Asked Ichika, as everyone was confused by this. They then looked at the table and they were done eating.

"Oh, we must've gotten carried away…"

"Hehehe"

"Anyways, we should get cleaning before Fuutaro-kun arrives." Said the elder sister.

"Okay!" Said the other four as they now started cleaning up the table.

Meanwhile in the hospital Raiha and their father, Isanari, were there waiting for the doctor outside Fuutaro's room.

"Is onii-san going to be okay dad?" Raiha asks her father as they were nervously waiting outside in the hallway.

"I'm sure he is!" Isanari replied, trying to lift Raiha's mood.

Raiha was pretty doubtful about her father's words. After all, Fuutaro's stab wound would forever be engraved in her mind. She saw the wound as Fuutaro was rushed to the emergency room. But right now, they were waiting for the doctor's words. They were wishing it to be good news.

At last, the doctor came out of the room, with a grim look on his face. Without his facemask on, you could clearly tell it didn't go well at all.

"Doc! Is my son alright!?" Isanari sprung up from his seat, asking immediately, hoping Fuutaro was fine.

The doctor hesitated to give an answer at first, but looking at the child beside Isanari, he couldn't bear to give out the bad news.

"I-Is onii-san alright?" Raiha asks, her eyes are on the verge of leaking tears, which is not helping the doctor in breaking out the news to them

Shortly after though, after gathering his resolve, he gave out the news to both father and daughter.

"He died of blood loss." The doctor replied, straight and direct to the point. There was no point in prolonging on what he should say. "We tried everything we could, but he didn't make it."

Isanari, and Raiha were now broken. Hearing Fuutaro had died shattered both so much. He had supported their family for a very long time now, but other than that, they lost another family member. A family member they didn't expect to lose at such times.

The doctor then leaves both of them. Isanari slumped his back on the seat, while Raiha cried her sorrows away in her father's arms. Truly a depressing day for the Uesugi family.

It is now nine in the evening, and the Nakano sisters are getting impatient. It was abnormal to have Fuutaro this late. Sure he could be an hour late, but by this point, he's at least four hours late.

"Hmmm" Miku hummed as she rested her head on the couch.

"Miku, is it about Uesugi-san?" Yotsuba asks.

Miku just nods, not uttering a single word.

"It is weird that Uesugi-kun is this late." Itsuki commented, as she was helping clean the room.

"I'm sure Fuutaro-kun is just making his way to our house now." Ichika once again reassures them.

Miku and Nino didn't even react, they were still bummed out that Fuutaro might not be coming over for today.

Yotsuba, trying to lift the two sisters' moods, proposed that they should watch TV right now.

"Well, might as well watch TV while Uesugi-kun isn't here." Yotsuba said as she grabbed the remote and opened the TV.

As soon as she opened the TV it was on the news. A news that will shatter their moods.

"Earlier this afternoon, around five o'clock pm, a boy was stabbed on the street." Said the news reporter. Itsuki and Ichika then had gotten back to the living room to watch with them. An image of the crime scene was shown, as well as some footage.

"The assailant was quickly arrested afterwards." The reporter continues on, the sisters didn't understand why they have a bad feeling about this.

"Sadly, the victim died due to blood loss. Dead on arrival as soon as he was rushed to the hospital."

Then after those words, the next statement was the one that broke them the most.

"Uesugi Fuutaro died at the age of 17." Said the reporter. "Such a tragic end to this young man's life." He added as an image of Fuutaro was now being shown on screen.

A/N: I'M BACK BABY! Sadly, my brain is still fried after the exams, so as to compensate, I made this new fic. There are two reasons why I made this fic, one my brain is fried, and two I had forgotten the character dynamics for my other fics, and that I have to learn them again. Anyways, I hope you are satisfied with this. This will be at least a two chapter story, unless it blows up again, like Death and Beyond. Anyways like always, see you all again soon!
