"Pass the ball here!" Davis called, grabbing Takuya's attention.

Turning toward the Digidestined of Miracles, the Warrior of Flame pulled his foot back and gave a powerful kick to the makeshift soccer ball the heroes were using within their small game of soccer.

Though there were still many challenges ahead for the Digi-Heroes, they knew it better to not push themselves and to just enjoy life from time to time.

It had been two days since the group of heroes, heroines, their partners and guide left the Fire Tribe's capital, and currently, the group was taking a break, with nightfall on the horizon, where the guys decided to play a quick soccer match, while the girls sat back with Novicmon and watched the boys.

Currently, Davis, Takuya, Takato, their Digimon partners and Dokamon were up against Tai, Marcus and Tagiru and their partners, while Haru, Astora and their Appmon acted as goalies.

And keeping a watchful eye over the match, Mikey and Shoutmon acted as the referees.

From the sidelines, Novicmon watched the game with great interest, taking in a soccer match for the first time, which left him writing many notes about the game's mechanics and about those playing within his journal, while the girls just smiled as they watched the match, with many of them trying to stay neutral.

However...

"Come on, Davis, you can do it!" Kari cheered loudly, her confident tone causing Davis to smile, while Tai sweatdropped as he thought. 'She doesn't even cheer for me anymore...'

"You can do it, Tai!" Sora then called, causing Tai to smile as he continued the game, while both Sora and Kari looked at one another and smiled, though the other girls sweatdropped as they sensed a small hostility between the two, as though a competitive instinct between Kari and Sora seemed to kick in to see which of their love interests was the best amongst them.

"Come on, Takuya! Show them what you can do!" Zoe yelled with her own encouraging and competitive spirit, which was shared amongst Yoshi, with the auburn haired woman calling, almost demandingly. "You can beat them, Marcus! Don't you dare make a liar out of me!"

Listening to the other girls cheering wildly, alongside Gatomon, Biyomon, Mervamon and Lalamon, Rika, Jeri, Nene and Eri just sighed, finding the growing competitive nature a little embarrassing.

But finding the boys continuing to enjoy themselves, Gatomon and the others decided to keep their focus on the game and remain silent.

Kicking the ball along the ground and rushing toward the goal, Davis showed his continued skill in the game as he swept around and out maneuvered Tagiru and Gumdramon, causing the duo to collapse upon the other, leaving spirals in their eyes.

Staring down Musimon, who stared back at Davis, the Digidestined of Courage and Friendship could see he had a clear shot at the goal, but wanting to ensure his team felt they were truly part of the team, the maroon haired Digidestined suddenly kicked the ball to the air.

Puzzled a little by the action, the Music Appmon then saw Veemon leap high into the air.

"Vee Headbutt!" The V marked Digimon announced as he delivered a powerful bash to the ball, sending it speeding towards the goal and striking directly into Musimon's four arms.

Despite Musimon doing what he could to keep Davis' side from scoring a goal, the shot was too much for the entertainment Appmon to handle, who was then thrown back and into the goal post, the sight causing Mikey to blow a whistle, indicating a recognized goal.

"Way to go, Davis/Veemon!" Kari and Gatomon cheered together, while Astora looked down at Musimon, who had spirals in his eyes, and let out dizzily with a sigh. "So not groovy..."

Showing no hard feelings, it was then that Davis and Veemon came over and helped Musimon up, before the guys continued their game for a little while longer, the result in a draw between the two teams, who then rejoined the girls at their campsite.

Though the focus remained upon Davis and the others, the maroon haired Digidestined looked over at Novicmon, noticing the small Digimon continuing to write page after page through his book.

"Hey, Novicmon, do you mind if I take a look at it?" Davis asked, expressing a curiousness and friendly side toward Noicmon, who smiled back and nodded in reply.

Reaching into his hat and pulling out the container that held the small portion of the Eternal Flame within, Novicmon handed the item to Davis, who took a moment to look over and examine the flame-shaped container.

Despite knowing the inferno it contained, Davis found the item cool to the touch, and deep down, the maroon haired Digidestined, along with the others, could feel the familiar power emanating from it, which left many wondering just how well it would help them in the end.

Handing the item back to Novicmon, who stored the container safely back in his hat, Davis then asked the small mystic Digimon. "So what was this area we're in called again?"

"The Borderlands." Novicmon said in reply as he withdrew his map from out of his hat next, unfurling it and placing it down for the others to see and look over the surrounding areas of Witchelny.

Looking at the map, the heroes and heroines saw large areas of Witchelny colour coded by the Tribes they belonged to, a similar method the Fusion Fighters all recalled during the battles against the separated forces of the Bagra Army, Blue Flare and Team Midnight, where all then looked at the large, dark purple area with a crescent moon symbol, each knowing that this was the Dark Tribe's territory, and that they should avoid it as best they could.

They then saw the large suave of uncoloured regions that seemed to separate the tribal lands, to which Novicmon explained to his friends. "The Borderlands are the areas that separate the tribes' territories. They are neutral ground, with most of the Digimon living here either neutral from any of the tribes or potentially Bandit Digimon."

"I remember Infernomon mentioning that term, but what does it mean?" Tai's Agumon questioned curiously, with each of the heroes and heroines remembering the Fire Tribe's leader mentioning it as well.

"Bandit Digimon are lawless Digimon that usually attack and raid towns for resources. Most of the time, however, they do it just for a cheap laugh." Novicmon replied, before adding with a solemness. "With the knight orders of old gone and the war with the Dark Tribe consuming the other tribes, there are many groups of Bandit Digimon now wreaking havoc in the Borderlands, even daring to enter the tribal lands to get what they want."

"In other words, something else we need to keep an eye out for." Mikey then said, letting the others know that even in the Borderlands, they would need to keep their guard up.

"Speaking of the tribes..." Zoe began to say, getting everyone's attention as she looked at the map and the territories of the other tribes.

"Which one should we go to first?" She asked.

Letting out a sigh, Novicmon sat back and looked up in the sky, getting everyone's attention as he commented. "Honestly, no matter which one we go to, this whole thing is a long shot. There has been too much mistrust between the tribes for them to even consider working together."

"That being said, if we can get one particular tribe to agree to this, it might be enough to get the other tribes to go along with it." The mystic Digimon then added, taking a page from the heroes and refusing to quit so easily.

Leaning forward and pointing to a region on the map, highlighted in yellow with a sun symbol on it, Novicmon then said. "The Light Tribe."

The others looked at the region, with a few smiling as Tai commented. "I'm surprised that they haven't already taken the lead against the Dark Tribe."

"Well..." Novicmon started to say, getting the group's attention again, where he gestured to Davis, Kari Veemon and Gatomon and said. "Present company excluded, most Light Digimon, or at least the ones I've seen, are... arrogant and prideful."

Getting over the idea of being called a Light Digimon, though understanding what MagnaVeedramon was, Davis and Veemon continued to listen to Novicmon, who then said. "For ages, the Light Tribe has seen itself as above the other tribes, refusing to help the 'lesser' Digimon, which left them to mostly keep to their own territories, but if we can convince them to ally with the Fire Tribe, the others will see how important this alliance is and will be easier to convince."

Listening to Novicmon's description of the Light Tribe, Kari felt anger growing within her, as this was not what the Light represented in her view.

Though feeling the anger growing inside of her, Kari felt herself calming down when she felt Davis place a reassuring hand on her shoulder, an action Veemon copied and applied to Gatomon.

"These Light Tribe Digimon remind me of the Digimon residing within the Sky Zone." Shoutmon remarked, getting a nod from Mikey and Nene as the others turned to them, where the Digimon King continued and said. "In my Digital World, the Sky Zone was a region that had issues with Light Digimon enforcing a tyrannical rule over those they were supposed to protect."

"Yeah, we didn't get a warm welcome, and would've had more issues had Lucemon not aided us." Mikey then commented, causing Takuya and Zoe's eyes to widen in shock.

"Tell me you didn't trust that little bastard?!" The Warrior of Flame let out, the shock Takuya expressed caused Mikey to sigh and nod his head in reply.

Unclear to the past of the Legendary Warriors, but mentally guessing the pair had to deal with a Lucemon in their Digital World, the Red General then said. "Sadly we did, and it almost ended badly."

"But we got through it alright in the end." Nene assured as she looked at Mikey with a small smile, recalling that though they were on opposing teams at the time, Mikey showed his continued bravery and kindness to save not only her, but all the residents of that familiar Zone.

Nodding his head at Mikey's tale, as well as processing Novicmon's information, Davis looked at the sky for a moment, seeing the sun start to set, before he looked at the others and asked with a confident smile. "So we're all in agreement then? We head for the Light Tribe?"

Seeing everyone nod in agreement, knowing that they would need the Light Digimon's support, Davis then got up and said. "Alright, I guess we will start heading that way tomorrow. I'll go get some wood for the campfire."

"I'll go with you!" Kari quickly said as she got to her feet and practically rushed to Davis' side.

Allowing Davis and Kari to vacate the area and proceed on their task, the pair heading not too far within the nearby forests to get the supplies they needed, the rest of the group looked at one another, some, particularly Zoe and Yoshi, having devious smirks on their faces.

.

.

.

Finding themselves in a more secluded area of the forest, Davis and Kari worked in silence as they gathered the broken branches needed to get the campfire going, both smiling as they enjoyed one another's company.

"Honestly, how do you think the others would react to being here?" The brunette then asked, thinking of her fellow Digidestined for a moment and finding herself getting a little homesick.

Taking a moment to think, and after picking up a few branches, Davis replied honestly as he told the Digidestined of Light. "TK, Ken and Cody would be alright, a little freaked out every now and then, given the stuff we've seen so far."

"Yolei, on the other hand, might freak out at everything." Davis then said with a deadpan look, adding with some conviction. "If she ran into Anansimon, she'd probably go into panic mode and try to use me as a human shield."

Though she thought of Yolei as a close sister, Kari could not help but laugh at the mental image of the purple haired Digidestined trying to use Davis to fend off the spider Digimon, which left Davis smiling to see Kari showing such light in her appearance.

Too caught up in the moment and failing to notice her surroundings, Kari felt her right foot caught by an uprooted stump, the brunette giving out a surprised yelp as she fell forward and began to fall.

Closing her eyes, Kari half expected to hit the ground hard, but instead felt a protective warm embrace around her, where the Digidestined of Light opened her eyes and was left blushing as she found Davis' face close to hers'.

Having dropped the lumber he was carrying and quickly acting, Davis had caught the Digidestined of Light before she could fall, leaving Kari resting in his arms and close to his chest.

"You alright?" Davis asked with a light blush at having the girl of his dreams so close to him.

"Yeah, I'm fine... thanks..." Kari replied with her own blush and a little stammer as she slowly returned to her feet, finding herself unable to look away from Davis' eyes as she remained in his embrace, not that she minded one bit.

'So beautiful/So handsome...' The pair thought in unison as they continued to look at one another and into each other's eyes, feeling the rest of the world disappear around them, leaving only the two of them as their heads drew closer and closer to one another.

Neither was sure who started it, but soon enough, their lips met in a warm, pleasant kiss, the pair closing their eyes as they let their feelings out finally as Kari wrapped her arms around Davis' neck.

'Is this really happening...?' Davis had to ask himself, feeling that everything in the world was perfect at the moment as he kissed the girl of his dreams.

'If this is a dream, don't wake me up...' Kari thought as she enjoyed the moment, finally having her dream man, feeling nothing but happiness and pleasure as their kiss grew slightly, putting more passion into it.

However, the sound of a twig snapping caused the two Digidestined to quickly open their eyes, finding bright blushes on their faces as they quickly separated and looked around, trying to find the source of the sound.

But finding nothing, the blushing pair looked back at one another, where Davis stammered with a fair blush. "We... we better get back to the others..."

"R... Right... They're probably wondering what's taking so long..." Kari agreed with her own stutter, the blushing pair quickly picking up the wood they had dropped and began looking for more before heading back to the campsite.

Unbeknownst to the pair, however, the majority of their friends were all hiding in the bushes nearby, with Sora and Biyomon smiling to see the two finally together, while Jeri, Zoe, Yoshi and Eri had stars in their eyes and they silently gushed over the romantic scene.

Meanwhile, Marcus, Takuya and Tagiru were smirking, silently congratulating Davis for finally getting the girl of his dreams, while the DATS officer and Warrior of Flame held the thrashing form of Tai, with Marcus having his hand over Tai's mouth to muffle his overprotective and protesting cries, animated tears coming down at seeing his little sister kiss a guy.

Meanwhile, Veemon and Gatomon were silently cheering and dancing in celebration, happy that their partners had finally expressed their true love to one another.

So excited by seeing Kari finally with Davis, with her eyes closed, Gatomon quickly turned and gave Veemon a quick kiss on the cheek, not paying attention to what she did as the V-marked Digimon stopped and blushed brightly with his eyes filling with stars, while everyone else just eyed what happened.

A second later, Gatomon's mind caught up with her, where she stopped mid cheer as her eyes snapped opened widely, her entire face blushing red, where the others thought it would be best to quickly get back to camp before Davis and Kari did, dragging the stunned and blushing Digimon with them.

.

.

.

Later that night, and after another excellently prepared dinner, courtesy of Davis, Takato and their partners, the group headed into their tents for the night, with Yoshi and Lalamon staying up and acting as the first shift of nightwatch duty.

As he lay in his tent, however, his arms crossed behind his head and staring at the top of the tent, Davis found he couldn't sleep, and not because of Veemon snoring loudly next to him, but from what happened earlier.

'Did that really happen...? Did Kari really kiss me...?' The maroon haired Digidestined thought to himself, still remembering the feeling of the brunette's lips against his.

Still unsure of the situation, to how it started and who initiated the kiss, Davis was then broken from his thoughts as he saw the flap for his tent suddenly open, where, as though summoned by his thoughts, Kari quietly entered, surprising Davis to no end.

But before he could speak, Kari placed her index finger on his lips, silencing him and leaving Davis to see the same look within Kari's eyes as before their kiss.

Removing her finger, Kari then surprised Davis even more as she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned forward, kissing him with the same passion as earlier, the action causing Davis to relax and to act on instinct as he set his arms around the waist of the girl he loved and kissed her back, the two lovers just enjoying the moment together.

As the pair continued kissing, Davis then realized Kari had moved her hands down from his neck, and was starting to remove his clothing, feeling Kari's nimble fingers sliding around his shirt and then along his chest.

"Kari, wait..." Davis said quietly as he broke the kiss, causing the brunette to give him a rather confused look, which the maroon haired Digidestined found to be quite cute.

"You don't want to?" Kari questioned, part of her wondering if Davis didn't find her attractive or that she had done something wrong.

"I do, but not here, not in a tent, and especially not with Vee sleeping next to us and your brother in the tent next to mine." Davis said assuringly, wanting their first time to be special for her , to be something she'd never forget.

'Mental note, find a way to get rid of Tai.' Kari thought to herself as she imagined leaving her brother in a ditch so he wouldn't get between her and Davis.

But pushing the mental image aside, Kari leaned back in and kissed the Digidestined of Miracles again, resting on top of him as she said. "Fine, but I'm staying here tonight."

Having no complaints, Davis slid his arms around Kari, holding her closer to him as he allowed the brunette to make herself comfortable on his chest.

Relaxing herself as she listened to the soft sounds of Davis' heartbeat, Kari's eyes slowly slumped as she drifted off to sleep, leaving Davis looking upon the sleeping Kamiya with a sweet smile.

'Goodnight, my angel.' Davis thought as he kissed Kari's forehead, before closing his eyes and quickly getting some sleep himself, while unbeknownst to the two, Veemon was wide awake and was now letting out a mental sigh of relief that his partner and Kari did not go any further while he was next to them, and for once was grateful for Davis' more mature and chivalrous attitude.

Outside, meanwhile, having watched as Kari went into Davis' tent, Yoshi and Lalamon woke the others up, where the group quietly listened to the two new lovers talk, where most of the girls sighed at the loving talk, while Tai had animated tears and mentally cheered Davis for his chivalry, though not understanding why he felt a moment of dread during the exchange.

The only person, however, who didn't seem as thrilled as the others was a certain red haired Tamer, who kept a scowl on her face, while her partner, alongside Jeri looked at her with a solemn look on their faces.

.

.

.

With the sun rising and another day beginning, things didn't start off on a good note.

"You want to do what?!" Tai asked in mild annoyance to his sister's request, while Davis continued to keep a blush on his face, having wanted to take his new budding relationship with Kari slow.

The brunette, however...

"I just think it will be better if Davis and I share a tent. It saves us some resources, and it could give Veemon and Gatomon some more privacy as well with their own tent." Kari explained, though most of the group easily saw through the brunette's ploy.

'Dang, she's got it bad for him.' Zoe, Yoshi, Sora and Eri all thought, knowing that Kari wanted to have more privacy with Davis, maybe even go further then they did the night before.

However, Kari's smile quickly turned into a frown as she saw the grin forming on her brother's face.

"I do agree we could save up some resources. Agumon!" Tai then called out, where the Digimon of Courage let out a fiery blast at Kari's now empty tent, burning it to cinders, while leaving Kari and Gatomon thankful they had already withdrawn all their belongings.

"Davis' tent is big enough for the four of you to sleep in." The older brunette then said, causing the others to sigh at the petty display, while Tai did his best not to flinch at the burning inferno in his sister's eyes.

"L... let's take it easy, guys..." Davis said with a nervous stammer, not wanting to piss off his new girlfriend, or her brother, where the Digidestined of Miracles then offered. "Let's just get our stuff together while I get breakfast going?"

"That sounds wonderful, Davis." Kari then said, her tone completely changing as she wrapped her arms around Davis' body and kissed his cheek, causing his blush to grow, while also sweating bullets as Tai gave him a quick glare, before heading off to a nearby stream to get water for everyone, not realizing he was being followed.

"You should cut them both some lack, you know?" Sora commented as she stared down toward the Digidestined of Courage, showing her disapproval of how childish he was acting.

"Well sorry, she is still my little sister. I can't help it if I am overprotective, no matter who she's with." Tai said back, still a little shocked by how forward his sister was to her new boyfriend.

Knowing Tai's protective ways were related to the trauma he caused in the past, and knowing he was still subconsciously berating himself, empathy filled Sora's heart as she set her hand under Tai's chin, lifting his head to meet her warm and caring gaze.

"I know, and I know she loves you for it, but you need to let her follow her heart, just like I need to." The Digidestined of Love then said, her words causing Tai to express some confusion toward the orange haired girl, only for his eyes to widen as Sora leaned forward and kissed him deeply and passionately upon his lips.

Maybe it was seeing Kari finally have the courage to be with Davis, or maybe it was a side effect from the Eternal Flame, but Sora felt emboldened, that she didn't need to fear anymore, especially not when it came to Tai.

The brunette, meanwhile, was looking with shock as the girl he loved kissed him, before he closed his eyes and wrapped his hands around her waist, the two continuing to make out as they lost themselves to years of pent up love and desire.

.

.

.

"Have you guys seen Tai and Sora?" Jeri asked with an understandable curiosity, with the group having finished breakfast and found the pair still not back yet.

"I'm sure they're fine." Tai's Agumon commented in reply as he ate the various foods upon his partner's plate, the sight causing Biyomon to sigh lightly.

Meanwhile, and behind a rock near the stream, Tai and Sora's clothing were scattered all around them as the orange haired girl moaned lightly, her body bouncing up and down her lover's cock as Tai kissed around her neck.

For the pair, it was a moment of pure bliss.

Were they being hypocritical, especially after how Tai acted with Kari, probably, but neither cared at the moment, kissing each other as they enjoyed one another's company.

"Tai, you feel amazing..." Sora moaned softly, increasing the movements of her hips as she allowed Tai's cock to slide deeper inside of her. "I love you, Tai... I love you so much..."

"You... you're perfect, Sora... always have been... I should have told you... how I felt sooner... I love you..." Tai groaned lightly in reply as he claimed Sora's lips in a passionate kiss, one which the Digidestined of Love happily and eagerly returned.

About thirty minutes later, and after both had experienced their climaxes, the pair, fully clothed, returned to the camp, with the others dismantling their tents, with Eri overlooking the duo and questioning with a stern expression. "And just where did you two go?"

"Sorry, got a little lost down the river." Tai explained as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, causing a few to glare at him suspiciously, before the girls turned their eyes to Sora, seeing the girl practically glowing, and knew what really happened.

"Anyways..." Davis cut in, wanting to break the tension, where the Digidestined of Miracles then said. "We left you guys some breakfast. Once you're done and you're ready, we'll head towards the Light Tribe's territory."

"Sounds good." Tai and Sora said in unison, blushing lightly as they quickly sat down and ate, leaving the others to mentally chuckle at the pair, before getting ready for the next part of their journey.

Within another chamber of the Dark Tribe's citadel, Charonmon stood before nine mirrors, similar to the one Lycanmon spoke to him through, with eight of them showing dark silhouettes within, while the ninth remained empty.

Next to Charonmon was another Dark Digimon, a dark and cruel looking warrior, with four arms, clad within silver coloured armour, with purple trimmings running along the chestplate, gauntlets and leggings of the figure.

Their helmet set upon their face held a sense of darkness and dread in its appearance, with a pair of cold dark purple eyes staring ahead as he held a dreary looking scythe in one set of arms and a great sword in the other, his hood and cape flowing behind him.

Unlike his counterparts, DeathTactimon took his view on war in a different sense, not for honour or glory, but to bring the end to all living things, where the dark tactic Digimon faithfully served the Dark Lady as his strategist and commander of the Dark Tribe's forces.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Charonmon was another Dark Digimon, one who often sent chills down the spines of those who faced him, for most who meet him do not live to tell the tale.

This being was known as Wraithmon, a terrible Digimon which refused to allow death to embrace it and to offer those it defeated to a painful and gruesome demise.

Holding a further wickedness in his appearance, Wraithmon closely resembled death itself, with his blackened armour decorated with skulls and bones, while a set of darkened wings spread from out his back.

Though concealed by a hood, the reaper Digimon always remained with an emanating aura of evil, which left many within the services of the Dark Lady in dread.

And all within the room and looking through the mirrors felt this horrid chill.

Wraithmon served as the Dark Lady's enforcer and hunter, striking down those who would challenge her authority, and lived for the thrill of the hunt.

"It ssseemsss Lycanmon hasss fallen... too bad." A feminine, serpentine like voice said through one of the mirrors as they looked at the empty mirror.

"He was weak, a useless hound! He paid for his foolishness!" Another female voice then said through the mirror, those one more cruel and vicious then the first.

"Now, now, my dear. Lycanmon's defeat wasn't fully his fault, as I have heard." A male voice, one that sounded charming and quite charismatic, remarked as he looked at Charonmon, who nodded his head in reply.

"Indeed. A group of humans and their Digimon pets have come to Witchelny, each now carrying a D-Bracer." The mystic Digimon of the Dark Tribe said, catching the interest of the eight Dark Generals.

"Humans?! I'll tear them apart!" A large, more bestial creature then let out from another mirror, causing another to chuckle as he then said. "Calm yourself, brute, or perhaps our Lady shall let me send you to the ocean's depths!"

"Enough!" Charomon then yelled, getting the Dark Generals to look at him, where he continued. "The Dark Lady commands you to continue your campaigns and claim the Primordial Fragments for the Dark Tribe. She will not tolerate failure."

"Additional forces are being sent to each and every one of you. Use them as needed." DeathTactimon then instructed.

"There is one more thing." Charonmon then said, getting the Generals' attention again as he said. "Should you run into these... 'heroes' and their pets, you are to eliminate all but one of them. The Dark Lady wants this one alive."

Raising his hand, an image appeared before the Dark Generals, where the serpentine voice asked with curiosity. "What makesss thisss one ssso ssspecial?"

"That is none of your concern. Know that should this one perish, regardless of your success, the Dark Lady shall end you personally." Charonmon replied, causing the Generals to nod in understanding.

"Then I shall break these insects for our Lady!" The beastial General declared, before a dark chuckle filled the room, causing the Generals and the room's occupants to look to the other side.

"Lycanmon thought the same thing, underestimating them, and I doubt you want to end up in a similar fate to that fucker." The voice said in a crude manner, causing most in the room to narrow their eyes at the being as he leaned against a wall, twirling a dagger in hand.

The being known as Sciophobimon was an enigma to most within the Dark Tribe, save the Dark Lady herself, with the Dark Digimon seeming to do things his own way, though none could doubt his results, managing to make even the peskiest of problems to the Dark Lady disappear.

Charonmon, DeathTactimon, Wraithmon and the Dark general would probably enjoy Sciophobimon's services, if not for his crude language and his inflated ego.

Looking at the jester-like Digimon, those in the room took in his dark metal armour, which covered his entire body, while a dark purple clock covered his head and upper back, revealing a featureless white mask upon his face, showing only his black coloured eyes.

"Enough, you witless hack!" Charonmon then snapped, seeing the jester-like Digimon chuckle once more, before disappearing into the shadows.

Reeling in his anger, Charonmon ended the meeting, the Dark Generals disappearing from the mirrors, where the Dark Mystic Digimon commented. "The Humans should be dealt with before they can interfere again."

"Fret not, I have anticipated where they are going, and sent an appropriate response to deal with them." DeathTactimon informed in reply, causing Charonmon to look at him with confusion and a small amount of concern.

"What did you send?!" Charonmon questioned, but found DeathTactimon to merely chuckle as he left the room, knowing that he would soon deliver his Mistress' prize to her, and be elevated in her eyes.

Author's note: Now I wonder who thought that Davis and Kari would be the first to have sex in this story.

The heroes' journey continues, with the team heading for the Light Tribe. But what perils await them on their journey, and what nightmare has DeathTactimon sent in their path? Stay tuned to find out.
