As the festivities continued long into the night, though many of the heroes and heroines continued to enjoy the warm atmosphere, Davis decided to retire to his room.
After removing his jacket and getting comfortable, the maroon haired Digidestined collapsed on his bed, closed his eyes and allowed the events of the day to come to the forefront of his mind.
And while many things occupy Davis' mind, from the reveal of ShadowDevimon impersonating ArchBishopmon, to the Celestial Light's power filling MagnaVeedramon and Lightbearer Ophanimon's being, the one thing that stuck out the most was the brief moment where they had fused together as AscendedDracomon.
Though all he had was vague memories of the time, Davis remembered feeling all of Kari's emotions, her drives, her determination, which left him with a smile, happy to know the warm light within Kari had remained strong over their time together.
But feeling a light weight around his waist, Davis broke from his thoughts and caused the maroon haired Digidestined to slowly open his eyes.
Upon opening them, Davis was met with what he considered one of the most beautiful sights in the world, the Digidestined of Courage and Friendship lightly blushing to see Kari straddling his waist and looking down at him with a warm smile.
Having snuck in after him and quietly removed most of her clothing, this left the brunette atop of Davis, clad only in her white bra and her matching panties, which allowed Davis to take in all off her body as she remained looking down at her beloved, a light blush on her face as she leaned down and kissed him on the lips, one Davis willingly returned.

LordPaladinmon informed as he gestured to a small group of the winged Digimon, who let out happy chirps in reply, before the holy knight Digimon pointed to a small group of ArchAngemon and KnightAngemon as he added. "While they will provide you with escorts in the event any of Draculmon's remaining servants are still around."
"Thank you for this." Shoutmon said in respect as he and the others then bowed.
Before leaving, Nyarukimon approached the heroes and heroines with an item in her hands, one that caused the heroes and heroines to widen their eyes.
The item resembled a four sided box with gold trimmings, while a bright light seemed to fill the interior, one that gave off a familiar power, especially to Davis, Kari, Veemon and Gatomon.
"As Infernomon trusted you with a part of the Eternal Flame, so too shall we trust you with a part of the Celestial Light." Celestimon said as Nyarukimon handed the container to Novicmon, where the ruler of the Light Tribe added. "May it aid you in the rest of your journey ahead."
"Thank you, Lady Celestimon, we won't betray your trust." Davis said respectively, getting an agreeing nod from the rest of the heroes and heroines in thanks for Celestimon's trust.
"Meanwhile, I will be meeting with Infernomon to discuss this Alliance, and hopefully together, we can begin reclaiming our lost territories from the Dark Tribe." The ruler of the Light Tribe then informed the heroes and heroines, whose smiles grew at hearing the news.
At the next moment, however, Veemon stiffened as Nyarukimon quickly wrapped her arms around him in a hug, pressing her body close to Veemon's and rubbing her head against his cheek affectionately and saying through her growing affectionate purring. "Take care, brave hero, I look forward to the day we see each other again."
Remaining frozen, Veemon's eyes shifted to the side, where he saw a raging inferno around Gatomon, who looked ready to tear Nyarukimon to pieces, while unbeknownst to them, Novicmon was looking at the scene with annoyance himself.
"Let's get going before we end up having a real catfight here." Tagiru suggested with a nervous chuckle, something the others agreed with as they all got on the HolyGriffomons' backs, where the winged Digimon took off with their escorts as the heroes and heroines waved goodbye to Light Tribe Digimon, ready to continue their journey and face whatever challenges awaited them.

Standing before a Dark Mirror, Charonmon looked upon his agent, where the dark mystic Digimon said. "They should be entering the Borderlands around the Light Tribe's territory soon. Find them, separate the Dark Lady's chosen from the rest, and bring them here. Do not fail me!"
The agent nodded in reply as their image disappeared from the mirror, leaving Charonmon to smile as his plan was set in motion.
