Chapter 9

The next morning, Angel looked up seeing Leah with Spike following behind her coming in his office. Her expression seemed serious as she sat in front of him. "What is it?" Angel sat back in his chair.

"Another vampire not like you guys admits to killing slayers." Leah spoke.

"He may be some of the reason why many are dead already," Spike sat in the chair next to her.

"You saw him where?" Angel questioned him.

"The party last night then he followed us." Spike answered him.

"We will head to the library tonight they have more books than I have here," Angel suggested.

Leah got on her phone to call her brother knowing he had tons of vampire books he use to read. "Hello."

"Hey bring your vampire books." Leah continued to talk to him on the phone. Both Angel and Spike sat there listening.

"Why?"

"Derek quit screwing around and just bring them," Leah hung up on him.

Her phone rang again with her brother calling back. "What?"

"Give the phone to Angel." Derek asked her.

Leah handed Angel her phone to talk to Derek. It was obvious that they both became buddies hearing the way they talked to each other. Angel hung up the phone handing it back to Leah.

"What mate become best friends over night?" Spike looked at him a little annoyed.

"We got a lot in common," Angel looked at him.

"You mean you two are?"

"No," Angel immediately cut Leah off mid sentence.

"Just checking," Leah said making sure. Spike couldn't help but laugh at that. Angel gave Spike an annoyed look.

Angel stepped out of his office leaving them sitting there. Spike got close to her taking her hand in his kissing it. "Shell we get back to work?"

Leah sighed getting up from the chair. Angel had Spike help her with whatever he could. They headed to another room going through books just in case they found something. After a while, Leah stopped taking a break. Spike stopped getting close to her. She took his hands holding them. He moved his hands to her waist. "Unless my brother hurries and shows up this may take a while."

"I'd rather be home alone with you." He leaned in kissing her lips briefly.

"It is nice to have a man who can handle me. I was always afraid I'd ended up hurting my last boyfriend with the whole extra strength thing." Leah said remembering how careful she had to be.

"You needed a man like me, someone who wasn't human. They couldn't handle you like I could especially intimately." Her lips met his as they kissed each other.

Spike pulled back trying to control himself from going further. "More like you're stronger than me."

"I would never hurt you, I don't hurt the ones I love." Leah loved his loving side of him. He was always very affectionate with her being the man he wanted to always be before he turned losing his soul. Now with a soul he felt he could continue where he left off.

"I love you," she looked at him.

"I love you more than you know," he leaned in kissing her briefly.

Their arms were around each other knowing they were the only ones in the conference room. Both of them started acting all lovey dovey to each other. Spike would get a kiss in when he got the chance.

"You are so cute," Leah looked at him.

Both of them were so into each other neither of them were paying attention to what was around them. "My love." Spike said kissing her.

Derek came in the conference room seeing both Spike and his sister." Hey love birds."

Spike looked back at him still holding on to Leah. "Sneaking up on us?"

"I watched you two before I came in get a room," Derek stood in front of them.

"Ain't he a wanker love?" Spike looked at Leah.

"You get the book?"

"Yep Angel has it." Derek answered Leah.

"Go ahead we're coming," Leah said getting Derek out of the room. Derek rolled his eyes leaving them alone.

"Let's go before they come looking for us," Spike took her hand leading them to Angel's office.

As they entered, Spike saw Buffy in there talking to Angel along with her brother. Leah noticed a blonde standing there in the office with Angel. "It's been a long time," Spike said surprised to see her.

"It has," she hugged him.

Spike hugged her back briefly "This is Leah," Angel introduced Buffy.

"I've heard a lot about you your kinda famous," Leah said nicely.

"It's nice to meet you," Buffy said nicely.

The rest of the day Buffy hung around. Leah hung out with Angel letting Spike catch up with Buffy. There were some things they needed to talk about. Leah trusted him and she would continue to get to know Angel more.

"I take it you were Buffy's first love? I know you gave that whole curse thing." Leah said remembering what Spike told her about him.

"It's not something I'm not happy about but I dealt with it. I left her because I didn't have a choice," Angel explained.

"Bummer, if I was in her place I would have been hurt too but I would have understood." He smiled at that a little.

"You're sweet I'm glad Spike has you," Angel said nicely.

"Besides Spike my brother is the only family I have left." Angel sat down next to her.

"I'm here for you despite work and all. I care about you. I want you to be safe just as much as Spike does." Angel meant what he said.

"I appreciate it." She hugged him. Angel hugged her back closing his eyes a moment remembering what it felt like to hold someone. Leah pulled away going through her brother's book.

Spike was walking with Buffy as they talked things over. He made it aware that he moved on. "I'm glad you found someone that makes you happy," Buffy said walking with him.

"She's the only person that treated me normal and didn't turn me away because of who I am. Dru or you have never loved me, I realize that now." Spike said being able to let that go.

"I did when I saw you change," Buffy admitted.

"It doesn't matter anymore we both moved on. I can finally say this is the happiest I've been in a long time."

"I'm glad, I figured you'd eventually move on." Buffy said not surprised. She couldn't blame him for moving on. Buffy felt it was partially her fault for not saving him sooner from the amulet he wore during their last battle.

"We should get back," Spike said leading them to Angel's apartment.

Leah continued looking through the book trying to figure out how to read it. Derek finally showed up taking the book from his sister seeing she was getting frustrated. "Thing is complicated," Leah said annoyed.

Spike and Buffy came in the door hearing Leah and her brother bickering about the book. He sat next to her leaning in kissing her cheek briefly. His arm went around her waist scooting closer to Leah. "What in bloody hell are you two going on about?" Spike asked them.

"My brother needs a less complicated book." Leah looked at him turning to kiss him back briefly.

Both Buffy and Angel talked among themselves while listening to them go on. "Crap I brought the wrong one." Derek said realizing it after looking through it.

"Idiot." Leah sighed.

Spike found it entertaining and humorous hearing Leah and her brother argue like little kids. "Guys please," Angel said shutting them up.

"She started it," Derek blamed Leah.

"I'm not the dummy who brought the wrong book." Leah looked at him annoyed.

"Don't make me separate you two." Spike wrapped his arms around her waist.

Buffy looked over Spike's direction seeing how in love he was with her. It almost made her jealous considering she hasn't even settled down. Angel looked her direction noticing her watching Spike. "I'm glad he's happy," Angel looked at her.

"He deserves it," Buffy agreed with Angel.

Leah and Spike said their goodbyes heading home. They unlocked their door walking inside setting their stuff down off to the side. Leah opened her fridge noticing her brother filled up her refrigerator with food, soda, and beer. Spikes blood was in one of the bottom drawers. She then looked through her pantry seeing he filed it up with food as well.

"What is it?" Spike walked up to her.

"My brother filled my fridge and my pantry," Leah said a little surprised.

"Looks like he feels he has to pay you back for letting him stay with you." Leah shut the pantry getting into the fridge grabbing a soda drinking it.

The book they were needing was on the table. She grabbed it sitting on the couch going through it. "I don't even know the guys name and there are too many guys in here that look almost similar."

"Maybe we can go ask him nicely," Spike said sarcastically.

"Right and have him want to kick my ass again." Leah pretended to be thrilled.

"He'd have to get through me first," Spike wrapped his arms around her.

"There you are jumping in to saving the damsel in distress."

He smiled at her a little. "You're worth saving." He leaned in kissing her lips.

They both kissed a while as he held her like he didn't want to let her go. Spike felt so content and happy for once. Leah was the only woman that made him truly happy. She pulled back to look at him. "I'm glad I have you."

"I've never loved anyone like I love you," he rubbed his hand along her face.

"We haven't set a date," Leah reminded him.

"If I had it my way we would already have been married." He lead her to their room.

"I was looking to wait until things settle down," Leah suggested.

"Whatever you want." They kissed again leading from one thing to another. There clothes were all removed as they made love. Spike felt every emotion running through him. He was on top riding her hearing her moans from underneath. Their lips would meet kissing her deeply. She felt his breath on her continuing to thrust deeper in her.

"You're mine," he whispered in her ear. Leah could hear his dominance by the way he spoke. She didn't mind seeing as hot as he looked on top of her. In her mind the only thing she thought was who wouldn't want to be.

After a while they found their release keeping their love making simple this time around. He got off her lying close to her keeping her close to him. The warmth of her body was something he enjoyed feeling against him. "Guess we kept it simple," she said holding him.

"Sometimes I like to keep it simple especially when I feel like getting off," he said seductively.

"Spike," she hit his arm.

"I never wanted a woman as intimately as I do with you. You're looks don't help pet. I crave you and it's not easy for me to hold back," He said playing with her hair some.

"I've had my moments when I'm with you. You wouldn't have minded but work would have." Leah admitted.

Spike smiled at that kissing on her some. "Hey sis," Derek knocked on their bedroom door.

"Coming," Leah said sitting up. Spike got up with her throwing on some pants while Leah got dressed into her shorts and t-shirt. Both of them walked out to the front seeing Derek "Hey," Leah hugged him briefly.

"Hi," Spike said sitting next to Leah.

"So I figured out who that big guy was. I saw him while I was out tonight. His name is Drake born back in the medieval times. Not sure where he came from," Derek informed them.

"Are there other breeds of vampires?" Leah asked Spike.

"Not that I'm aware of sweetheart we are all the same," Spike looked at her.

Derek figured only a matter of time that would change. "You won't be if this guy makes more like him. He had women all over him at the bar tonight. The bartender told me he goes there a lot."

"Looks like we got a place to go tomorrow night," Leah spoke.

Derek called Angel on his phone letting him know what he had told Leah and Spike. He got up leaving them sitting there alone while he talked on his phone. Spike pulled her closer to him loving the smell of her scent. "Come to bed."

"Sounds like a plan." Leah got up from the couch pulling him up.
