Chapter 11

Leah laid next to Spike in their bed. They had came home with one thing leading to another. Then they had just held each other talking. Spike loved holding her in his arms knowing he could lay like this forever. "They say after your married things change like you're not as intimate or things slow down." Leah looked at him.

"Maybe in the human department but not with me," Spike kissed her cheek.

Her hand touched his cheek and he closed his eyes a moment. "I need to get some rest," Leah yawned.

Spike cuddled up to her as she slept. Periodically he would doze off but he didn't feel tired. He would hold her watching her sleep feeling nothing but love. For once, he felt complete learning that this was what love felt like. Her body shifted a little rubbing up against it causing his need to grow as he moaned a little.

He could feel some of her wetness on his tip as he slowly started kissing on her some. Slowly, he entered her not being able to control himself thrusting in her. she awoke to him on top.

Spike ended up on top riding her deeply as he was kissing on her. Her moans filled the room and the only thing on his mind was how good she felt.

The next morning Leah woke up to the sun hitting her face. Spike was asleep next to her seeing her phone was on his side of the bed on the end table. She moved slowly trying to reach over him to grab it. Then she felt his arm grab her pulling her down on him. "Morning love."

"I'm trying to grab my phone," she sighed.

"Thought you had enough not that I mind," he looked at her.

"I have to get up," Leah said taking her arm back.

"Don't want to piss off captain forehead," Spike sighed.

Leah grabbed her phone looking through it putting on a robe hanging from her closet door. Spike got up from the bed walking towards her. "Really?" Leah gave him an annoyed look.

"Guess you don't want me bickering about." He put his hands on each side of her arms leaning in kissing her a moment.

"No."

"I love you you're my everything." He looked into her eyes meaning every word. Leah kissed him briefly getting ready for work.

She was moved into an office now that she was working for Angel. Most of her time was spent setting her stuff up around her office and doing some sort of work in between. Spike came into her office seeing her sitting at her desk. "Nice he gave you an office," Spike looked around.

"Did you give him my resume for me? That's what is in that folder." Leah asked him.

"I did he was quite impressed, you're one hell of a smart one after I read your information." Spike said impressed.

"My brother was the party guy and I was the one that stayed behind a book."

Leah stood up getting out of her chair walking up to Spike. He took her hands in his pulling her close to him kissing her lips. "Angel asked me to see if you researched anything new yet."

Before Leah could answer Angel came in her office instead. "You feeling ok boss?" Leah asked him.

"Yeah I took the rest of the blood your brother gave me. He told me everything about being stronger and all." Angel spoke before Leah could explain.

"Well now we're even mate," Spike added.

"Don't remind me," Angel said annoyed.

"I did more research, this guy can walk in the day powers are weak. That doesn't stop him from killing anyone either," Leah informed them.

"Then I should call Marcus." Leah grabbed Angel's arm stopping him.

"Already ahead of you." Angel was impressed knowing she was on top of this.

"I appreciate it," Angel said nicely.

Angel left her office looking at the time remembering he had an appointment. Leah sat at her desk and Spike sat in front of her. "I have a reason to worry about you going out during the day."

"Spike his powers are weak."

"Another reason for him to find you as bait." His tone was more concerned for her safety.

"I'll be fine, I can handle myself."

"For once I actually give a damn, it feels bloody weird but now I understand why. It took me this long to get use to being myself again," Spike said remembering.

"I didn't doubt you." Leah sat back in her chair noticing his protective side was coming out. Then got up walking around her desk approaching him.

"You are my girl and you can't blame a fella for being concerned."

Leah sighed at that. "I know."

Derek came in his sisters office seeing it. "Not bad."

"It works," Leah approached him taking the coffee he handed her.

"It was Angel's way of keeping me out of his office so much," Spike said sarcastically.

"So I was wondering if you wanted to go bar hopping?" Derek asked Spike.

Spike looked back at Leah then back at Derek. "If your talking about going about for women I'm taken," Spike reminded him.

"Go hang out do your guy thing, I'll be fine," Leah encouraged him.

"You sure?" Spike asked her.

"Go have fun, I'll have Angel go with me to patrol," Leah assured him.

Spike figured he may as well go as long as he knew Leah was going to be safe. She left the room walking into Angel's office. "Hey, so my brother is taking Spike out bar hopping tonight. Do you want to come with me to patrol?" Leah asked him.

"Sure and you're brother taking Spike out?" Angel asked a little unsure.

"Kinda getting him to hang out I guess." Leah shrugged unsure of Derek's purpose.

Derek and Spike came in Angel's office seeing Leah talking to Angel. "You think hanging out with Spike will be fun?" Angel kind of cringed at that.

"Hey, I bloody know how to have fun old timer," Spike spoke.

They finished up the day and Angel went with her to patrol. It seemed pretty quiet as they walked together. He got know know Leah a little more while they talked. "So was Buffy your first love?" Leah wondered.

Angel snickered at that a little. "No, but it hurt me to let her go because of the whole curse."

"I know the whole happiness thing Spike told me. You'd think you've done enough good it finally will just be permanent," Leah sounded hopeful.

"Maybe, I haven't tried to even see if it is permanent or not." Leah sat next to him seeing him looking out in front of him.

"It's worth a shot you can't be miserable forever. Try again with Buffy." Angel chuckled at that a little.

"It's been forever since I've been with her. I promised her I'd move on so I guess I can say I was able to get over her," Angel said not regretting it.

"Then go look there is plenty of women."

"It's not that easy to just say hey want to go on a date and I'm a vampire." Leah nodded understanding where he was coming from.

"It will take a very loving and understanding woman to be with you. Despite you're past, you have proven to be a good guy. I see that everyday when you are trying to do good." Leah's tone was confident in him. "I think you've proven enough to pay back your debt from your past."

Angel appreciated hearing that coming from her. It has been quite some time that he was able to just sit with someone and have a conversation. Leah was very humble and easy to talk to understanding why Spike fell in love with her.

A random vampire saw them walking their direction. Leah saw him coming her direction fighting him then staking him. Angel seemed impressed by her fighting skills. "Leah," Angel saw another one coming behind her.

She had a small pocket knife turning around throwing it just right it going though the vampire right in the chest where the heart was located causing them to dust away. Leah went to go pick up her pocket knife blowing some of the dust off.

Not too much longer Spike and her brother Derek had shown up at the grave yard. "Kind of a short hang out?" Leah saw them walking towards them.

"These two girls sat with us and I think Spike drove both of them away. It started out to nice to meet you and all he did was talk about you," Derek rolled his eyes.

"You talked about me?" Leah walked up to him.

"It was enough that I missed you there with me," He held her kissing her lips a moment.

Leah held him as she hugged him. Derek shook his head at him. "Can't even keep you away for a whole night," Derek whined.

Spike pulled back looking at her brother. "Sod off that woman was dodgy."

"She was so into you dude," Derek spat out.

"Don't be such a knob mate, she was after me for one bloody thing," Spike protested.

"So am I." Spike laughed a little at that.

"I'm happy to accept your offer," Spike leaned in kissing her lips a moment.

"Let's get going," Angel suggested. They went to the bar not too far away from where they were finding a seat to sit down.

"Want anything?" Spike asked Leah.

"I'm good."

They ordered drinks and it didn't take the waitress long to bring the guys their drinks. Leah felt Spike's hand on her lap. Marcus and his guys came up to the table. "Hi, what are you guys up to?" Leah saw them coming up to them.

"We wanted to head to the bar," Marcus answered her.

"Is it men scoping out women night? Derek tried to have Spike go with him. It didn't work too well," Leah wondered.

"Well you know finding a woman isn't that easy, we're kind of picky," One of them answered.

The guys snicked a little at that. They pulled up a chair sitting with them. Leah scooted closer to Spike to give them room. It was close enough to be able to put his arm around her which he did. Everyone sat around talking Leah sat and listened.

Leah noticed things about her were changing a little. Her senses with figuring out who was around her were starting to become more apparent. Spike was starting to notice how her genetics were changing her a little.

"Spike, he's here and he is outside the building," Leah looked at him getting up going outside.

"Where she going?" Angel asked Spike. Spike got up following her outside along with Angel and the others.

She opened the door seeing Buffy standing outside ready to fight off Drake. It already looked like she only got a few hits in. "What are you doing here?" Leah asked her.

"You know just passing through." Buffy answered her.

She went to hit Drake and he hit her hard enough to cause her to fall back a little further back from him. Leah took out a stake only pouring lighter fluid on the tip grabbing Spike's lighter out of his pocket. Leah lit the stake seeing only the end on fire. Drake went to swing at her causing her to duck while she was quick enough to stake him with it.

He screamed knowing it would be enough to wound him but not killing him. Drake able to pull the stake out still feeling the fire burning in him. He ran trying to escape as the wolves went after him as humans until they got into the field. One of them was still human calling Angel letting him know he escaped.

Angel helped Buffy up seeing she was hurting a little from being hit. "Not bad how did you figure to do that?" Angel asked Leah.

"Stake didn't work last time so I figured fire would be the next thing. I have a feeling if he made others that's how we will have to kill them." Leah answered him.

"Not bad my love at least now just the ole stake is a loss," Spike looked at her impressed.

"Nice to know that now," Buffy said gathering herself together.

"What are you doing here anyway?" Angel asked her.

"Just checking in."

"Just checking in? You could have been killed," Angel said a little upset at Buffy.

"Considering he isn't your typical vampire your use to killing." Leah added. Spike took Leah's hand walking back in the place. Derek was already off talking and their table was still there. "So how do we kill him?" Buffy asked them.

"That's what we haven't figured out yet. We already know fire hurts him but doesn't kill him, Sun light is worthless," Leah said thinking.

"Spells? That could work," Buffy guessed.

"Spells? It's finding the right one," Spike said unsure. Angel shrugged not doubting Buffy's guess.

"Spells maybe but theres always a way out of them. If different types of vampires don't exist other than your own kind then I'm guessing someone resurrected him," Leah said trying to figure this out.

"The question I want to know is why?" Angel wondered.

"Wipe out your kind and create something more who knows," Leah shrugged.

Spike was impressed learning how smart she was. Derek told him that Leah was very smart but he only took his word for it. Then he thought about her resume and her book smarts.

"I didn't lie when I said she was intelligent," Derek whispered to Spike.

"I'm impressed," Spike looked at Derek.

They talked a little longer before everyone headed home. Derek unlocked the door letting his sister and Spike in. He wished them goodnight going to his room.

"Listening to you really impressed me. I've always known you could handle yourself but you're a genius," Spike wrapped his arms around her.

"No I'm not," she kissed his cheek.
