Chapter 17
In the morning Leah awoke to Spike next to her with the blankets kicked off exposing his naked body to her. She got on top of him removing her bottoms and underwear completely wet after some sort of a strange dream she had. He was already hard making it easy for her to slide it inside of her. Feeling that woke him up as she was on top of him slowly riding him. He let out a soft moan of pleasure feeling her thrusts.
"You're so hot, I wanted you," she whispered in his ear.
Spike did what he could to help her underneath. Waking up to her on top was something that he didn't mind at all. After a while he flipped her on her back taking over making sure she would get her need met along with his.
"Fuck," he said under his breath as he continued to ride her. It felt so good he didn't want to stop. He kissed her deeply as they made love. Luckily Spike was able to make it last a while until he found his release with her.
"It would be nice to have a day that we can do this," she looked at him catching her breath.
"You and I both." Spike leaned in to kiss her again.
He got off her allowing her to get up to get ready. Spike decided to wait for her and they could walk to work together. When she finished, she was dressed in blue jeans, a decent grey shirt with her make up done and her hair down. Leah came out to the front fully dressed wrapping her arms around Spike kissing him.
"Keep this up and we will won't be leaving," Spike pulled back to look at her.
He took her hand leading them out through places to were the sun wouldn't hit him. They made it quickly in the building from the back to the main elevator. Leah pushed the button waiting for it. The doors opened and both of them went in it standing there waiting to go up. Spike pushed the second floor button. Leah stood next to him waiting as the elevator went up.
The doors opened and they both walked out. Derek was already there handing her more history that he found out. Spike went in the office with Leah. He shut the door behind them while Leah put the paperwork on her desk. "I wonder what if I can't fight this guy?"
"You are strong, I know you can." Spike held her hand.
"I've read the history that my brother gave me already. I'm prepared for anything but I'm still wondering if having vampire DNA will effect anything. Derek thinks it will either increase my lifespan or not," Leah said trying to remember.
"Whatever happens I won't leave your side," Spike said meaning every word.
"I know." She hugged him.
He hugged her a moment then let her go. Leah's phone rang and she answered. Spike stood there as she talked on the phone. Angel came in her office seeing her on the phone. Leah hung up the phone turning her attention to the guys"
"There was a killing in a building last night, thought we could go out and see if we can find anything," Leah wondered.
"Sounds like a plan," Angel replied.
Derek came in the room sitting in one of the chairs. "What did I miss?"
"Going to check out a building site," Leah answered him.
"Maybe we will find something," Derek spoke.
"No guarantees mate." Spike looked back at Derek from his chair.
Angel started to depend on Leah to be his assistant more. Harmony was on a long hiatus and he needed someone to help him out. She finished most of her stuff in the morning then ended up helping Angel. Spike didn't seemed bothered by it seeing it was only for work.
"What's on my schedule for today?" Angel asked her.
"Lunch meeting at noon, You need to sign a couple of documents, and approve payroll." Leah informed him.
Leah's office phone rang and she answered it. "Hello? Hope yer ok, yeah he's here." Leah put the person on hold.
"Angel it's Buffy on the phone," Leah looked at him.
Angel left the office taking it in his own office. Derek left making a phone call leaving her and Spike alone shutting the door behind him. Spike looked at Leah seeing her on her computer typing away sending an Email. "Is something on yer mind?" Spike finally spoke.
"I've never told you how I feel." Leah sat back.
"I think you told me most of it."
"Spike, you never gave up on me. You're the only guy I know that choose to put up with me." Leah got up from her chair to stand in front of him.
"You talk like it was something I was forced into it love."
"I never said you were but I realized I never loved anyone like I love you." Her words meant everything to him. He stood up leaning in kissing her a moment. Leah pulled back to look at him. "That didn't sound to cheesy did it?"
"No, but I feel the same way. You didn't turn me away or be a bitch like the rest of them. Her arms wrapped around his neck. Before he could get a word out, her lips were on his as they kissed deeply.
Leah pulled back to look at Spike. "I guess I better stop."
Spike chuckled at that a little "As much as I don't want to pet Angel might throw a fit."
"But I like kissing you," Leah pouted playfully.
"I must be a peng pet."
"Yes quite a catch," Leah imitated his accent.
"Not bad," Spike laughed at that.
Spike helped her with getting some stuff organized. Just being with her was the only thing that mattered to him. They would continue putting stuff away in the back and he would sneak a kiss here or there. Leah was always easy to talk to, he felt like he could talk to her about anything. She brought him a warm coffee cup of blood.
Spike took it drinking it as they sat down resting a bit. "Your beautiful inside and out. I never met a woman like you," Spike sipped his cup.
"You're hot, never dated a guy as good looking as you," Leah said unsure how to respond.
Spike couldn't help but laugh. "Nice you think I'm hot."
Leah hit him in the arm playfully. They finally finished up as the day started to be just about over. Both of them headed out to the front. Seeing Angel standing there talking to Buffy. "You're back," Leah noticed her.
"Just thought i'd come by see if you needed any help," She replied.
"There she is back to make her rounds," Spike replied.
"It is almost dark," Angel peaked outside.
"Great night to grab a beer and a fun night of strip poker," Leah joked. Spike laughed at that appreciating her humor along with Angel and Buffy snickering.
"Gotta do a run first," Spike reminded her.
"I was kidding," Leah wrapped her arms around him.
Buffy was glad to see Spike happy and in a good place. She hadn't seen Spike this happy before wishing she could have someone to be happy with. Angel noticed her watching Spike and Leah interact with each other. "I hate admit that I'm glad to see Spike happy," Angel spoke.
Buffy laughed at that a little. "He worked hard to become a better person."
Angel nodded knowing he felt bad for leaving Buffy due to his reasonings. Time had changed him and the way he felt about her. For now, he just saw her as a friend. Not much was said between the two.
Leah was in Spike's arms while they both talked. They all eventually left heading out to the site they were suppose to investigate. Then they noticed some military was blocking their way. "Yer not permitted to be here, One of the guys spoke.
Leah let go of Spike's hand walking in front of them showing her badge. "I've been assigned by my boss." She held up a search warrant. "They are with me under my supervision."
The guy let them through watching them carefully reporting on his walkie talkie what was going on. Men were in the building allowing them to pass through. They saw some evidence trying to figure out what may have happened but it wasn't anything new.
Spike stayed by Leah's side walking around while Buffy went to walk around with Angel. "Report said body was completely nothing when they found it. They had a difficult time identifying it. Leah said walking around.
"Nothing I haven't seen before." Spike looked around.
"Whatever." Leah kept walking around.
"You know baby you should have more faith in me." Spike replied.
"Never said I didn't," Leah kept walking.
A man blocked them from walking standing in front of them. "I have a warrant." Leah reminded him.
"Get lost." He warned them.
"Make me." The guy went to hit her and she blocked him. Kicking him away from her. He went after her to fight and she fought back. Spike stood their watching her impressed with her fighting skills. The guy pulled out a knife and Leah was quick enough to dodge it somehow getting the knife out of his by turning and twisting it out of his hands. A few guys came in along with Angel and Buffy. Leah grabbed him having the knife to his throat.
"Let him go," she ears a man's voice.
She looked over seeing the guy walking towards her with dark short hair and dark eyes dressed in military suit. Leah let the guy go closing the knife handing it to him. "Commando Joe over here tried pulling a knife on me."
"I apologize he will be disciplined, wait Leah? Your brother is Derek," he asked her.
"Yes, who are you?"
"Ethan, I met you when your brother would bring me to your house," he said remembering her.
"Oh yeah, I was kinda shy back then. You look different, guess your in the military like he is," Leah said surprised.
"You look incredible," Ethan said complimenting her. Spike wasn't too keen on him but he was ok for now.
"Another one of my brothers is Ethan," Leah introduced him to Angel, Buffy, and Spike.
"You're a cop now?" He asked her.
"Something like that," Leah shrugged.
"No military?" He asked.
"For a couple years to pay for college, I did martial arts," Leah explained.
"Wait you did military?" Spike asked her.
"Not for long," Leah answered him.
Everyone calmed down talking some knowing who Angel and Spike were. Ethan had everyone else leave the room. Leaving just him, Leah, Spike, Angel and Buffy.
"What is this place?" Buffy questioned him.
"We hunt vampires, tell me why these guys are any different?" Ethan questioned Leah.
"They have a soul and the eldest of their kind, stronger, harder to kill," Leah explained.
"May I have a word with you alone?" Ethan asked her.
Leah looked back at Spike and he trusted she would be fine. They went elsewhere so he could talk to her. What is it?"
"Are you insane?" Ethan questioned her worried.
"They are not bad, I've been around them long enough," she assured him.
"Things have changed, I'm not normal I never have been," Leah tried explaining to him.
"What are you talking about? What happened to you?"
"I'm a slayer and have traits of a vampire my mom was bitten and the DNA is in me."
"Not many slayers around," Ethan was a little surprised but accepted her. He remembered her being the shy girl but now she changed looking more mature than what he remembered. They talked a little longer and Leah left.
Spike met Leah outside with Angel. Buffy had already left pretty quickly. Leah filled them in about what Ethan talked about with her. Both of them weren't too surprised at what he told her. Spike appreciated that Leah never kept anything from him. Her being in the military was something he wished she told him but wasn't too bothered by it.
Leah looked at Angel a moment being able to read him. "There is tension between you and Buffy. That is why she left isn't it?"
"Things have changed," Angel sighed.
Leah put her hand on his shoulder so she could read him more. "You don't love her anymore, you care but it's not the same way."
Angel looked into her eyes as she faced him reading the last thing. Tears started to slowly fall and she stopped reading him. Spike was not too far away wandering.
"I'm sorry," Angel said hugging Leah as she hugged him back quietly sobbing.
