sorry life keeps me busy!

Chapter 21

It was in the evening and Leah went ahead alone. All seemed pretty quiet for patrolling. She hunted a couple of vampires that crossed her path. A few of the wolf pack was near by keeping an eye on her. Leah could sense them around her as she kept walking. When she turned around, Drake appeared behind her.

"What do you want?" Leah seemed to care less at the moment.

He had a black leather jacket on with jeans and boots. His eyes were directly on her watching her every move. "You know what I want."

"It's not going to happen," Leah looked at him knowing what he meant.

Drake didn't look very accepting to her answer. He took a step forward getting closer to her. "You killed all those girls in their apartments. You took them home realizing they weren't enough then killed them."

"I've waited centuries for you." His hand lightly touched her arm.

"I'm not who you think I am," Leah said in a firm tone.

It was like he was almost putting her in some sort of trance putting visions in her mind of his sexual desires he had. Before he could get even closer to her, one on the wolves came out going after him. Leah fainted falling to the ground feeling like it took a lot out of her. Spike found her on the ground leaning down grabbing her in his arms.

"Leah," he shook her a little.

It didn't take her long to regain consciousness opening her eyes. "Spike? What happened?"

"I found you on the ground, did he hurt you?" Spike asked worried.

"It was like some trance like state. I can't remember much after that." Spike helped her up making sure she was alright.

"How in bloody hell did you sneak out so fast?"

"I'm fast and I'm good at what I do."

Spike didn't seem happy that she left on her own. "I still worry about you and for you to just leave without telling me scared me. I'm not the same person I use to be. Having a soul makes me feel more human than what I am."

"I'm fine," Leah sighed.

"Yeah for now when there will be a moment something happens to you," Spike argued.

"Alright I get it I'm sorry I guess I get use to working alone. Im not like Buffy I'm not the type to just have everyone around me," Leah explained.

Her hand touched his cheek. He leaned in placing a soft kiss on her lips. Their moment was interrupted with Angel, her brother, and Xander tagging along. Spike explained what happened to them while Leah felt like they were being watched.

Marcus appeared coming toward them. "You guys keep up with him?" Leah asked him.

"He got away we chased him out of were you were. We've been on heavy patrol in the evening you just happened to be where one of us were," Marcus explained.

"I have a feeling he's going to be difficult to kill." Just as Leah spoke a vampire came up behind her shoving her. She turned around kicking him and fighting him. Leah moved close knowing Spike had a stake from his pocket grabbing it staking the vampire.

The stake just stuck in his chest as he got up fighting her. Spike went over to help Leah fight him. Derek took out a lighter he had in his pocket finding a long stick on the ground lighting it on fire. "Leah," He tossed the stick over to her. She caught it without burning herself finding the right time driving it through the vampire. The fire quickly spread on him slowly burning him to ashes. Then it went out after the vampire was completely gone.

Angel took a few steps towards the ashes looking down at them. "Guess the old stake won't work buy it's self anymore," he said surprised.

"Guess not," Leah looked at him.

"You think Drake is building his own group?" Derek asked.

"It's possible," Spike answered him.

"Looks like we will have our work cut out for us," Leah stood next to Spike.

Everyone headed back to the apartment discussing what their plans were fighting vampires. Leah sat there quietly listening to everyone talk. Spike noticed something must have been on her mind. "You alright?" Spike asked Leah.

"Just a lot of work," Leah looked at him.

"You're not in this alone love." Spike comforted her.

They both got up heading to their room. Spike shut their bedroom door wrapping his arms around her. "I know, just overwhelmed."

"I will do everything I can to help you." Leah leaned in kissing him appreciating that he would always be there for her.

Spike pulled back breathing a little heavy from kissing her. "You're not annoyed by being around me everyday?" Leah wondered.

"No, why would I be?"

"My brother said you're probably sick of being with me everyday." Spike rolled his eyes at that not surprised her brother would say something like that.

"That's not true, he's wrong. If he only knew what I've been through to get to this point."

"Don't take it too personally, it's my brother," Leah reminded him.

Spike was beginning to learn the meaning of having another sibling. The periodic bickering or just annoying each other seemed to be part of it all. His arms were wrapped around her as he leaned in to kiss her. Their lips met kissing each other deeply allowing their clothes to come off.

He was on top of her kissing and thrusting at a steady pace. She could hear his moans coming from him. His were soft, it was like he was letting her know that he was getting his pleasure out of it. They made love until they found their release. Spike laid beside her feeling completely satisfied. "I got a message from the police and I think they are assigning me to work with someone," Leah spoke.

"With who?"

"I don't know Angel is taking care of it," Leah scooted closer to him.

"He knows they can't protect you like I can." Spike's hand pushed hair out of her face. He loved the sight of her everything about her was beautiful. She was the first woman that he had found that looked perfect with or without make up. All the woman he'd met in his life or been involved with didn't compare to her. It was almost like he was completely stuck with the idea of being in love. He knew his feeling were real but Angel would tease him about being so obsessed with her.

Derek and Angel were in the front room talking. Xander left after a while. "You know I'm almost jealous of Spike," Angel admitted.

"Why because he married and settled down?" Derek asked him.

"It's not like it's easy for me with this whole curse," Angel said aggravated.

"Yeah I know I heard, maybe you did enough to where it's finally over," Derek said hopeful.

"It's hard to say."

The next morning Leah was working in her office. Spike seemed to be the main thing on her mind always being kind and charming towards her. She always thought he was a great looking guy. Having Spike as a husband just made it better knowing she had him all to herself.

Spike came in her office allowing Leah to stop what she was doing. She got up walking over to him leaning in kissing him. His arms wrapped around her pulling her back so he could look at her. "Happy to see me?"

"I always am if you can get me away from working." He kissed her briefly holding her hands.

"Need anything?" Spike asked her. "I only came in to see if you wanted anything."

"No just you."

Spike's hand rubbed along her cheek. "You have me forever."

Derek came in hearing Spike talking to his sister. "Never heard a man be a mushy as you."

"He's from another time idiot men from his time always treated women differently," Leah sighed.

"It's true but I've adapted to the present time quite a bit," Spike looked at both of them.

"Maybe but you have times where you act like your from you time." Spike smiled at her a little looking at her feeling nothing but love. Despite how Derek felt about his mushy lovey dovey things he would say to her. He was glad he made his sister happy.

Angel came in the office seeing Derek standing next to Leah as Spike was close to her with his arm around her. Angel was still getting use to the fact that Spike was married and has changed since he first ended up in his office from when Spike was brought back by the amulet he gave Buffy. It was enough for Angel to really trust him more now than before.

Angel started talking with Derek while Leah sat and listened. Harmony had Leah come with her leaving everyone in the office. Leah saw the guy with dark hair shaved with green eyes and kind of a mustache. "You are?" Leah saw him standing there dressed in what looked like military gear.

"Sam," he introduced himself.

"You part of that team who hunts any vampires and such? Their place is a safe haven," Leah reminded him.

"I'm aware of that but I'm here to fall you we've ran into a few that are difficult to kill." Leah sighed familiar with this.

"Sounds like Drake is building his army. We've been trying to find him." They talked a little longer until Spike noticed him.

Feeling nervous the guy pointed his gun at Spike. "Stop." Leah warned him.

The guy pulled the trigger and Leah went towards Spike pushing him down having him avoid the bullet. Derek tackled the guy and the cops were called. Leah started to get off Spike and he stopped her.

"Thank You," he looked at her appreciating what she did for him. Leah helped him stand up.

"Everything alright?" Angel came up to them concerned.

"Just another wanker wanting to kill. These are the damn people who put a bloody chip in my head." Spike said annoyed.

"They must be coming on strong because of Drake possibly building a new army," Leah said having a good idea.

"Not this again," Spike said gating they still existed.

"I'll talk to Riley and see what I can do," Derek said getting on his phone calling him.

"I still hate the guy," Angel sighed.

"Where's Xander?" Leah asked them.

"Catching up with Buffy, it looks like we may be on our own. Buffy has had her time, it looks like it's your turn." Angel looked at Leah.
