The urgency and desperation were easy to pick up from off of Silvamon as the heroes and heroines rushed after the draconic form of the Nature Tribe's leader, with Jeri and Novicmon on SacredPhoenixmon's shoulders, while behind the group, BloomLordmon, ArchDruidmon and Ajatarmon were following closely, the second in command to the Wilderness Digimon having Sifakamon wrapped in his vines, much to the monkey Digimon's protests.
With the rest of the Nature Tribe's forces and Sifakamon's rebels reorganizing and following as fast as they could, the group of heroes, heroines and their allies soon arrived at the gate to the Nature Tribe's capital, dread overtaking them to see the large wooden doors not only busted open from the outside, but also scorched by an array of dark purple flames.
"We must hurry!" Silvamon said with further urgency, snapping those with her out of their shock as the draconic form of the fairy Digimon let out a roar, before rushing through the gates, with the heroes and her allies quickly following.
All around them, the group saw destroyed or burning buildings, all in a straight path leading directly towards the palace, with various plant and beast Digimon quickly trying to put out the flames, while scarring on the ground left the impression that the city's defenders tried to fight the attackers, and failed.
"Oh my..." GaleSilphymon could only say in shock as she took in the devastation, knowing who was responsible and seeing that despite the damage being concentrated to one area, the attackers had left their mark upon the city.
Arriving at the entrance to the massive tree that served as Silvamon's palace, the leader of the Nature Tribe, the heroes, heroines and their allies saw a small handful of WoodKnightmon and SageDruidmon leaning against the entryway, all with severe injuries, some even missing arms or legs as one of the mystic Digimon looked towards his ruler and said through his pain. "My Lady! They are inside... we could not stop them...!"
Hearing the guard's words, the group of heroes and heroines quickly rushed into the palace, with BloomLordmon, Ajatarmon and Sifakamon quickly following as Silvamon and ArchDruidmon attended to the wounded.
Rushing through the hallways, the heroes and heroines soon reached the throne room, only to find a group of SageDruidmon trying to bring down a dark barrier that separated them from the Spark of Life.
"We need to bring it down, we need to stop her!" The lead SageDruidmon yelled as he and his fellow mystic Digimon unleashed powerful blasts of nature energy at the dark energy before them, desperate to bring it down.
Beyond the barrier, the heroes, heroines and their allies saw a pair of tall Digimon, at first reminding them of the DeathKnightmon, only with their armours made completely out of bone, while having an extra pair of arms as they held halberds made out of the same material as their armour, standing at attention with menacing glares at those beyond the barrier before them.
"MarrowKnightmon, Mega Level Digimon!" MysticSakuyamon informed her friends as she read the D-Bracer info from her mind's eye, before her eyes widened in horror as she looked past them and saw the familiar form of the Dark Lady herself before Silvamon's throne, her right arm extended as energy from the Spark of Life seemed to draining from its source and into a cylinder container within the Leader of the Dark Tribe's hand.
"What the hell is that?!" Sifakamon questioned with clear confusion as he looked at the female figure on the other side of the barrier.
"That's the Dark Lady." BardMusimon informed Sifakamon, BloomLordmon and Ajatarmon with a slight tremble in his voice, his reply causing the three to look at him in shock.
But pushing past his own shock, MagnaVeedramon looked to the others and called out. "No matter what, we have to stop her!"
Looking at the holy knight Digimon, the other heroes and heroines pushed back their fears and looked at the barrier with determination, gathering the nature energy within them and they unleashed their power upon the dark barrier.
"Holy Strike!"
"Rinkageki!"
"Rage of Wyvern!"
"Holy Judgement!"
"Sacred Flame!"
"Full Spirit Wave!"
"Arcane Inferno!"
"Arcane Twister!"
"Flaming Destruction!"
"Violet Blast!"
"Omni Force!"
"Inferno Spiral!"
"Passion Shot!"
"Gaia Link!"
"Golden Arrow!"
"Rhythmic Stream!"
The various attacks, combined with the light green magic blasts of Jeri, slammed into the barrier, with the heroes and heroines groaning as they tried to push against the dark energy, which seemed to easily push them back.
Not wishing to be left out, BloomLordmon, Ajatarmon and Sifakamon added their own attacks to the mix, each hoping to break through the barrier and allow the heroes to strike at the enemy.
"Gran del Sol!"
"Shotgun Moss!"
"Magical Bang!"
"Nature's Fury!" The rage filled voice of Silvamon then called out as the draconic form of the Nature Tribe's leader them came through the throne room entrance with ArchDruidmon, the pair unleashing blasts of nature energy at the dark barrier, adding their attacks with the heroes and their allies as they pushed against the barrier, seeing light cracks in the dark energy, along with the MarrowKnightmon tightening their grips on their weapons.
"Keep pushing!" MagnaVeedramon called to his friends and allies, seeing that their efforts were working, a sight that brought hope to the other heroes, heroines and their allies.
However, those hopes were soon dashed as the Dark Lady extended her left hand back towards the barrier, a rush of dark energy filling it and sending out a shockwave, sending the heroes and their allies flying backwards with a cry, where the heroes and heroines crashed into the ground, their nature infused forms losing their power after their long battles and causing them to revert back to their normal Digimon and Appmon forms, while Jeri's outfit returned to normal.
Drained of most his energy and getting up with a strained groan, MagnaVeedramon and the others looked with confusion to see the container within the Dark Lady's hand close, the Spark of Life returning to normal, if not slightly dimmed, while a similar light emanated from within the container.
"I have what I came for." The leader of the Dark Tribe declared, before turning and facing the barrier, Sifakamon letting out a fearful yelp as he hid behind Ajatarmon, while everyone else prepared to fight if necessary.
"I warned you if you stood in my way again." The Dark Lady commented as she looked upon the heroes, keeping an eye on MagnaVeedramon, while the other heroes and heroines did their best to keep their fears in check, where the dark being then added. "Know that you have drawn my ire, and from this day forward, the more you interfere, the more you shall see of me, that is a promise."
With her warning given, dark energy circled around the Dark Lady and her two guards, all disappearing in wisps of shadows, where the barrier then fell.
Confusion, fear, but most of all, anger and disappointment filled the heroes and heroines, with MagnaVeedramon letting out an angry filled cry as he slammed his fist into the ground, Lightbearer Ophanimon moving over and placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, despite feeling the same way as he did.
They faced the Dark Lady again, and failed once again.

As the sun began to set over the forests of the Nature Tribe, the heroes, heroines and Novicmon went about helping the Nature Tribe and the wilderness Digimon rebuild the parts of the capital that were damaged by the Dark Lady's attack, while honouring those who fell in battle.
Meanwhile, back in the throne room, Silvamon, back in her Tranquil Mode, worked with ArchDruidmon to check on the Spark of Life as Ajatarmon and Sifakamon coordinated the wilderness Digimon to help with the city's defenses.
Back within their room, the heroes, heroines and Novicmon sat in a circle around a small fire to keep warm, none of the group speaking as the toll of the day got to them, having had their morale at an all-time high after their victory, only for the Dark Lady to once again bring them down.
"I don't get it..." Tai's Agumon then said, getting everyone's attention as he then asked. "Wasn't the Dark Tribe after all the primordial fragments? Why did the Dark Lady take so little?"
"It felt only slightly more than the energy given to us." Renamon added, the foxy Digimon adding to the confusion of what happened earlier, but it did nothing to uplift the mood.
"It doesn't matter." Tai said in a solemn tone, adding with depression in his voice. "That's twice we've faced her and twice we've failed."
"And she didn't even have to kick our butts this time." Tagiru added with a sigh, with the rest of the group remaining silent.
The group was then broken from their thoughts as Silvamon entered the room, giving them her warm smile as the humans, Digimon and Appmon stood up in her presence.
"Lady Silvamon, we apologize for our failure." Shoutmon said with a respectful bow, one the others shared, feeling guilty about their failure to stop the Dark Lady from taking some of the Spark of Life.
Instead of being met with anger or resentment, however, Silvamon merely gave them her warm smile as she said in reply. "What failure? You stopped DarkTaurosmon and ShadowLotosmon's forces, you defeated Interitusmon and saved not only our lands, but all of Witchelny, and you have untied our people once more."
"But, the Dark Lady..." Nene started to say, only to stop as Silvamon held her hand out and smiled at the brunette idol.
"Not even I could have predicted her actions." Silvamon informed the group, before adding in a serious tone. "But the fact that she came herself, after all this time staying within her citadel, says that she is either desperate or that whatever she has been planning for so long will soon be upon us. We must not look to the past anymore, but to tomorrow, to the day all the tribes will march upon the Dark Tribe's lands."
"And if we face her again? How are we supposed to stand against her?" Zoe asked with growing dread.
"Together." Davis replied, his words ringing with the others as they felt their depression lessen, knowing that he was right, and that next time they faced the Dark Lady they would have a different outcome.
Silvamon smiled to herself, happy that she was able to re-lift the heroes and heroines' spirits, knowing that they will need it in the days to come.
Sensing something approaching the city, Silvamon then looked towards the gate as she then said to the heroes. "We have more visitors."
Startled at first, thinking that the Dark Tribe had returned to finish what they started, Davis and the others realized that Silvamon was calm instead of fearful or serious, where they followed the leader of the Nature Tribe out of the room and out of the palace to see who had come to the city.
Arriving at the newly reconstructed gate, the heroes and heroines saw BloodLordmon, MysticLillymon, Sifakamon and Ajatarmon with many other Nature Tribe and Wilderness warriors, who parted ways to allow Silvamon and the heroes through, who were surprised to see a large group of Light, Fire and Water Tribe Digimon before them, being led by a familiar face.
"Nyarukimon!" The heroes and heroines let out/called in surprise, with the feline mystic Digimon smiling happily to see the group once again.
"Hey, it's good to see..." Veemon started to say with a kindness in his tone, only to be stopped as Nyarukimon all but tackled him to the ground, leaving the Digimon of Miracles winded, the others giggling, and Gatomon and Novicmon glaring.
"It's so good to see you again, my brave hero!" Nyarukimon let out with a big smile as she nuzzled Veemon's cheek, causing most of the heroes and heroines to chuckle lightly, before the feline mystic Digimon got off of Veemon and recomposed herself.
"We heard that there was a large battle happening within the forests and that you guys were here, so the Leaders sent us to help." Nyarukimon informed the heroes and heroines, before looking around and seeing the damage that still remained, adding with a surprised tone. "Looks like it was quite the battle."
"Actually, the battle was far away from here, this was the Dark Lady's work." Kari informed Nyarukimon, whose eyes widened in surprise.
"The Dark Lady was here?!" The new chief mystic of the Light Tribe questioned in shock, getting nods from the heroes and heroines as Novicmon informed her. "She took some energy from the Spark of Life and left."
The group then noticed an uneasy look upon Nyarukimon's face, causing Gatomon to question her fellow feline Digimon. "What is it?"
"This might not have been the first time." Nyarukimon informed the heroes and heroines, who looked shocked as she informed them. "Aside from the energy that was given to you guys, it seems that someone has stolen power from the Celestial Light, Eternal Flame and Sacred Water. It seems the Dark Tribe is getting what they are after regardless of our victories against them."
This news shocked the heroes and heroines, hearing that their enemy still managed to take the powers of the primordial fragments, even though they had stopped their forces and defeated their Dark Generals, which once again left an uneasy feeling for the group.
"We need to warn the other tribes." Davis stated, getting nods from the group as he looked at Silvamon and said with a determined voice. "I wish we could do more here, but we need to leave in the morning for the nearest tribe."
"You have done more than enough to aid us, young hero." Silvamon replied with a smile, adding as she gestured to the palace. "Rest, we shall supply you in the morning for your journey, the border to the Earth Tribe is not too far from our forests."
The heroes and heroines nodded in reply and made their way back to the palace, their minds still processing the day's events and the bombshell Nyarukimon dropped before them.
.
.
.
"Are they alright?" Nyarukimon asked Novicmon as the pair looked into the room from the doorway, seeing the group talking, and at some points, arguing, many with worried and angry looks on their faces.
"Before we arrived in the Nature Tribe's territory, the Dark Lady attacked us, we tried to fight back, heck, MagnaVeedramon used the combined powers of the four primordial fragments we have, but she thrashed them and we were forced to run." Novicmon explained, not paying attention to the shock and awe on Nyarukimon's face at hearing that MagnaVeedramon used the powers of four primordial fragments at once, before the fire mystic Digimon added. "The Dark Lady, she... she's unlike anything I've ever seen before. Even after learning that she wasn't a Digimon, seeing what she could do has left an impression on them all."
"Then earlier, even working together, they could not stop her from taking the energy from the Spark of Life, and now they are questioning themselves if they can continue onwards." Novicmon finished explaining, feeling depressed to see the friends he had made all but tearing themselves apart over losing to Dark Lady.
"Our world was suffering before they arrived, and since then, Witchelny has finally seen a light at the end of its dark storm." Nyarukimon said in reply, looking at Novicmon as she added. "It's only natural that things get darker just before the dawn."
"They need to remember that they were chosen, that they have the D-Bracers, which means that they are the ones who will save us all, that somehow, some way, they will defeat the Dark Lady." The feline mystic Digimon then said confidently, causing Novicmon to smile, before both jumped lightly as Marcus slammed his fist into the wall in anger.
"Damn it! What the hell has everything we've done been for then?!" The auburn haired DATS member demanded in frustration, feeling angry upon hearing that despite their efforts, their enemy seemed to be winning.
"It hasn't been for nothing." Davis replied in a calm voice, getting everyone's attention as he then stated. "We've saved so many lives, we've defeated her generals, we've stopped her invasions of four of the tribes and gave the Digimon of this world a chance to fight back."
"The fact that she is now stepping into the fight means she's concerned about us." Mikey then added, looking at the others as he pointed out. "Whatever she is planning, she still needs the energy from the remaining five fragments, so we still have a chance to not only stop the Dark Lady, but also figure out what she is hoping to accomplish, that is how we beat her."
"But can we beat her?" Jeri asked/had to ask, her nightmares returning to the forefront of her mind as everyone remained silent, not sure how to answer the brunette.
"The last time I saw this kind of fear..." Davis then said, getting everyone's attention as he continued. "...was when we first fought against MaloMyotismon. He was powerful, horrifying and as twisted as Quartzmon, with most of my team all but paralyzed by their fear, leaving Veemon and me the only ones to challenge him at first."
Both Kari and Gatomon looked down, both remembering the fear they felt that day and how ashamed they felt that they didn't stand with the duo of Miracles at first.
"But in the end, we got over our fears, and together, we defeated MaloMyotismon, and I believe we can defeat the Dark Lady together." Davis finished as he looked at the others and added. "We'll head for the Earth Tribe tomorrow, help them against the Dark General threatening them, and we'll keep going until all the tribes are ready to strike back at the Dark Tribe, and we'll find a way to stop Dark Lady, as a team."
The others felt their doubts lessen after hearing Davis' words, knowing that, after their own experiences, that he was right, bringing a smile to not only the humans, Digimon and Appmon present, but to Novicmon and Nyarukimon as well as they continued to watch the group from the doorway.

The next morning, as the sun rose upon the forests of the Nature Tribe, Silvamon, ArchDruidmon, BloomLordmon, Ajatarmon, Sifakamon and Nyarukimon stood before the heroes, heroines and their guide, their supplies restocked, with the various Digimon of the four tribes behind their leaders as they wanted to wish the group luck on their journey.
Looking at ArchDruidmon, however, the heroes and heroines saw a golden container, shaped like twin leaves, circling around a bright light within his hands, the group already knowing that this contained a portion of the Spark of Life.
"Are you sure about this?" Davis asked as he looked at Silvamon, with Veemon adding as he started to say. "The Spark of Life already lost so much..."
"This portion will not harm it." ArchDruidmon informed the group, where Silvamon added with a smile. "Besides, it will aid you in your battles ahead."
"We wish you luck on the rest of your journey, and know that once the city is safe, we shall send our warriors to aid the alliance against the Dark Tribe." The leader of the Nature Tribe then added.
"Yep! We'll make those creeps pay for what they've done to our lands, you can count on it!" Sifakamon let out, with BloomLordmon and Ajatarmon both saluting as the warriors behind them let out a cheer.
"Take care, heroes, may our paths cross again soon!" Nyarukimon then said with a smile, her words causing the other allied tribal Digimon to cheer as well.
Nodding their thanks, Novicmon took the portion of the Spark of Life and placed it within his hat, before a group of Dryadmon encircled the heroes and heroines as they led them away from the city and back to the edge of the forests.
With renewed determination, the heroes, heroines and Novicmon were determined to complete their quest, ready to head for the Earth Tribe and do what they must to stop the Dark Lady's plans.

With the Spark of Life secured with the other captured primordial energies, Charonmon, DeathTactimon, Wraithmon and Sciophobimon watched with intrigue as their Mistress stood before a ritualistic circle, concentrating her energies as seven dark circles appeared before her.
"My Lady, what is this?" Charonmon asked with intrigue.
"A test for the heroes, one that will either break them or push them in the direction I desire." The Dark Lady replied as the dark energy morphed and began to take form, combining to create seven individuals that cried out in agony and pain, ones that caused the Dark Lady's inner circle to look on with interest.
And behind her mask, the leader of the Dark Tribe smirked viciously.
