It was around noon when the heroes and heroines found themselves crossing from the Borderlands and into the territories of the Metal Tribe.

However, upon entering the lands of the Metal Digimon, Davis and the others took in the grim sights around them, seeing entire forests burnt down, while small villages, formerly made of metal and gears were left in ruins, some even stripped of the metal that made their buildings, as though salvaged for parts.

But remaining resolute in their efforts, the heroes and heroines pressed on, with Novicmon following his map as he led his friends towards the capital of the Metal Tribe, and to hopefully an audience with their leader, the Digimon known as Aurummon.

"Not a lot of vegetation here." Mikey remarked as he looked around the area, finding the terrain around them lacking any plant-life, and seemed to be replaced with various forms of metal.

"And there seems to be a lack of wildlife as well." The Red General added.

"Well the Metal Tribe is all machine based Digimon." Biyomon pointed out as she and Lalamon flew slightly over everyone's heads, the Digimon of Love adding with her own wonder. "They might not have to eat like we do."

"Now that could be a problem." Gatchmon remarked, fearful that they would not be able to find anything edible at the capital for him and his friends to eat.

"Still, you'd think that some life would exist around here." Shoutmon then pointed out, the Digimon King looked around the decaying wilderness.

"It's possible either the Metal Tribe, the Dark Tribe, or both have been harvesting the land for resources to use in their war." Davis suggested, his words causing the others to blink in surprise to the maroon haired Digidestined insight, having not thought of the idea themselves.

A loud sound then caught the group's attention.

Looking over to the right, their eyes widened in horror to see a trio of Dark Arks far off in the distance, which seemed to be slowly moving in the direction the group was heading.

"We better hurry. It looks like they might be getting ready for another attack soon." Gatomon pointed out, adding as she looked to her friends. "And we have no idea if she is with them this time."

Knowing who the Digimon of Light was referring to, knowing that the Dark Lady herself could be a part of this new assault, the heroes and heroines quickly resumed their trek, making their way towards the Metal Tribe's capital.

After another hour of travel, the Davis and the group soon found themselves on the outskirts of a massive city, built into a large mountain, with large walls made of gold, silver and clockwork gears, while large spires made of the same materials could be seen beyond the large fortification.

But what really seemed to surprise the heroes and heroines awas the massive dome of energy that seemed to cover the entire city, a shield of sorts against any form of attack, while large energy cannons could be seen on the walls, ready to open fire at any who would try and attack the city.

"Ok, we need to find a gate and..." Davis began to say, trying to find some way for him and his friend to gain access to the capital and met with the leaders of the Metal Tribe.

But before the maroon haired Digidestined could finish, something massive swooped down and flew past the group, causing most of them to shield their eyes and let out cries from the gust/uproar of wind.

Upon opening her eyes, however, Kari felt fear and panic as she noticed that Davis was missing, looking up in fear as he called out. "Davis!"

Opening his eyes, Davis' looked in shock to see that he was in the air, a few feet above his friends, in the hand of what looked like a large, bipedal metal dragon, one made of golden gears, with a staff that held clockwork gears on top, two large mechanical wings and a clockwork tail.

Seeing the draconic Digimon move his head closer, Davis was about to call out, to tell the metallic being that he was not a threat, before, much to Davis' intrigue, a series of magnifying glasses came over the being left eye, seeming to zoom in on the Digidestined of Miracles' D-Bracer.

"Oh, it is true! The D-Bracers are real!" The Digimon let out in excitement, a giddy laugh escaping his mouth as the metallic being went on to say. "Oh how I would love to take it apart, see what makes it tick, see what I could do with..."

"Lord Aurummon!" A voice suddenly scolded from beyond the wall, with the maroon haired Digidstined and his captor turning their heads to see a Tactimon made of steel and gears, who was armed with a set with twin cannons mounted on his back and a clockwork halberd looking at them.

The tactic Digimon of the Metal Tribe then said with seriousness. "While I would never dissuade you from your curiosity, please remember that the item is attached to a living being!"

Blinking his mechanical eyes, Davis looked as what appeared to be Aurummon, the leader of the Metal Tribe, turned to him and registered that he was also holding a human being.

"Ah, yes, my apologies, young hero." Aurummon said apologetically after returning to the ground and setting Davis back down, where the other heroes and heroines rushed to his side as the leader of the Metal Tribe added with an embarrassed tone. "Sometimes I let my curiosity get the better of me."

"We can tell." Shoutmon said with a deadpan expression, before looking to the leader of the Metal Tribe and asking. "That being said, can I assume you know who we are and why we are here?"

"Yes indeed, small one." Aurummon replied with a warm tone, before his metal face turned into a glare as he looked behind the heroes, in the direction the group had seen the Dark Arks approaching from.

"But it is best if we continue this in the safety of my castle, come now." The Leader of the Metal Tribewent on to say, before the heroes and heroines heard the sounds of metal creaking and turning, looking to see a section of the wall close to them slowly open up, where Aurummon began walking towards the opening as the energy shield around the walls came down.

Quickly following the Leader of the Metal Tribe, the humans, Digimon and Appmon quickly moved through the opening, before turning as the opening closed behind them as the shield reactivated, where the heroes and heroines looked back to Aurummon and got their first real look at the Metal Tribe's capital and its inhabitants.

The first Digimon of the Metal Tribe to greet the heroes and heroines in their city were the wall's defenders, a large force that was made up of four types of Digimon.

The first type resembled humanoid knight Digimon, their bodies composed completely out of silver, with clockwork gears running through their bodies.

Shields bearing a cog symbol, the symbol of the Metal Tribe, and electrified swords, seemed to be the weapon and protection of choice provided to the Digimon.

Their faces showed no facial features, save for a pair of golden eyes.

The second type of new Digimon closely resembled the first, only instead of swords and shields, their right arms had been replaced with energy cannons, which were quite large and needed to be operated properly by the left hand.

The third type of Digimon, meanwhile, surprised most of the heroes and heroines, seeing clockwork versions of Guardromon on standby, the machine Digimon in a standby mode but ready to protect the city from any further threats if its protection was required.

The final type of Digimon before the heroes and heroines resembled the other clockwork humanoid Digimon in appearance, however, this line of machine Digimon were clad in gold coloured robes with hoods over their heads.

Each wielding a staff with a cog gear on top, the heroes and heroines knew from the previous Tribes visited that these Digimon were the more magic based users of the Metal Tribe, those who'd fight and aid their comrades from a safe distance.

Curious to the Digimon, Davis looked to his D-Bracer to see the information on the Digimon of the Metal Tribe.

"ClockKnightmon, ClockGunnermon, ClockGuardromon and Alchemymon, all Champion Level Digimon, with Alchemymon being a magic type Digimon." The maroon haired Digidestined told his friends.

However, looking up to Aurummon, Davis felt some nervousness to the way the machine Digimon was looking at his D-Bracer with starry eyes.

"Remarkable!" The leader of the Metal Tribe commented as he looked over the legendary device, all too eager to take it apart and discover its functions, to see how each individual part managed to make up such a great device.

The sound of a throat clearing caused Aurummon to snap out of his state and look to his side, where the heroes and heroines saw the mechanized Tactimon then approach them.

Bowing respectively to the group as he greeted them, the mechanical Tactimon said with further respect. "Greetings, heroes, I am IronTactimon, chief advisor in military matters to Lord Aurummon. I wish I could express further gratitude for your arrival and all you have done for Witchelny so far, but I fear pleasantries may have to be postponed for a while."

"Yes, please follow us to the palace, a war council is forming." Aurummon then said, getting nods from the heroes and heroines as they followed the leader of the Metal Tribe and IronTactimon toward the palace, the walk allowing them to also take in more of the sights of the city.

Following their hosts, the group looked around to see that, along with the metal and gears that made up the city, the buildings around them were all powered with currents of electricity.

Neon lit signs and lamp posts filled the streets, showing the various parts of the innovation that the tribe was known for.

It was then that the group noticed some of the ClockKnightmon, alongside a handful of Hagurumon working on what looked like large, clockwork styled Mekanorimon.

Watching the machine Digimon working together, acting in such synchronicity to construct the many Mekanorimon was a feat in itself, but to see the different Mekanorimon then armed with what appeared to be a set of energy cannons for arms, as well as blasters on their shoulders only furthered the awe of Davis and the others.

Looking at her D-Bracer, Yoshi looked up the information on the machine Digimon, stating as she read off the info. "ArcaneMekanorimon, an Ultimate Level Digimon. Created by the Metal Tribe, ArcaneMekanorimon can be operated manually, but are able to identify friends from intruders."

"These are among the latest line of weapons for our fight against the Dark Tribe." IronTactimon then said, looking to the row of ArcaneMekanorimon as they passed by, where he then informed. "Half Digimon, half mech suit, each can be piloted by our warriors to drive back the enemy's forces."

The heroes and heroines nodded in response as they took in the mechanized units, watching a little longer to the construction of such machines Digimon, before turning to see three newer types of Digimon standing at attention as the group approached the palace, which was built into the large mountain at the center of the city itself.

The first type resembled the ClockKnightmon, only these Digimon had gold armour, V shaped helmets and long, golden cloaks, while their weapons were swords and shields made of pure energy, the swords extending from the hilts and the shields being generated from their left arms.

The next type, meanwhile, looked like bulkier versions of the ClockGunnermon, with both hands resembling large energy cannons, while on their backs were single large, barreled guns, leaving the Digimon looking like clockwork weapons platforms.

The final type of Digimon, on the other hand, was one the heroes and heroines had seen before, with some as teachers from the magic school, resembling a more advanced form of the Alchemymon, with their bodies made of gold.

Covered in silver robes and their hoods off, the heroes and heroines could see the same V shaped helmets covering the newer knight Digimon's faces adorning the mystic Digimon's heads as well.

Curious, Tai looked upon the information on the new Digimon before the group on his D-Bracer, telling his friends about their new allies.

"SteelKnightmon, MetalBlastmon and HiAlchemymon, Ultimate Level Digimon, with HiAlchemymon as a magic type Digimon." The Digidestined of Courage informed his friends as the group followed Aurummon and IronTactimon through past the elite warriors of the Metal Tribe, before their eyes landed on a lone figure waiting at the palace ground's entrance.

Shock and surprise filling them, especially Takuya, Zoe, Marcus, Yoshi, Agumon and Lalamon, the heroes and heroines saw that appeared to be a mechanized version of Crusadermon, the knight Digimon covered from head to toe with steel armour and gears, which opened up into wings on their back, while a spear made of gears rested in their left hand and the familiar shield was worn on the right, this left the warrior an imposing sight to the humans and their digital partners.

"Ah, yes." Aurummon then said as he turned to the heroes and heroines, introducing the figure. "May I introduce SteelCrusadermon, my champion and one of the greatest fighters in the Metal Tribe. She has defended our territory for the past thousand years and is still running strong."

"My Lord." SteelCrusadermon stated with a bow, expressing her clear respect, only to then give the heroes and heroines a quick look, before refocusing and informing her leader. "ArchAlchemymon is waiting for us in the war room."

Nodding in reply to SteelCrusadermon's words, the leader of the Metal Tribe followed the Metal Knight Digimon, where the heroes and heroines followed the group in, their eyes widening in surprise to see more newer Digimon within the courtyard.

The first type were draconic based Digimon made of pure iron and gears, which gave out a feral roar as the humans, Digimon and Appmon walked by.

But showing trust behind its aggressive nature, the group of dragonic Digimon remained stationed and allowed some of ClockKnightmon and Hagurumon to perform needed repairs upon them.

The next draconic Digimon were bipedal.

Covered in platinum coloured knight armour, with energy swords in both hands, the Digimon each looked ready for the upcoming battle.

The last type of new Digimon, however, shocked Tai, Sora, Kari and their partners, seeing clockwork styled Machinedramon standing in place, their gold-coloured armourings being repaired as the massive Digimon were worked on, the sight causing the Digidestined of Love to look at her D-Bracer and read the info on the newer Digimon.

"IronDracomon, PlatinumDracomon and ArcaneMachinedramon, the Mega Level and most powerful Digimon of the Metal Tribe." Sora informed the group as they walked past the powerful fighters.

"So, these indeed are the heroes we have heard of." SteelCrusadermon remarked as she looked back at the humans, their partners and their Fire Tribe guide, getting a nod in reply from IronTactimon.

"Hopefully they can help us turn the tide of this invasion." The metal tactic Digimon then remarked, his reply causing Aurummon to chuckle in response.

"I am certain they can help us, along with our ingenuity!" The leader of the Metal Tribe responded with pride as he drew his staff to the sky, causing the heroes and heroines to look up, each surprised by the sights they took in.

Docked in makeshift shipyards built into the mountain above the palace were several large airships, similar in design to the Dark Arks, only made of steel and gold, dozens of cannons were built into their gear shaped designs, each being worked on and prepared for the upcoming battle by workers and soldier Digimon simultaneously.

"Wow, did you make those ships in response to the Dark Arks?" Dokamon questioned as he looked up at the large airships with clear awe, which earned a light laugh from Aurummon.

"No, we were the first to build these Arks, however, the enemy stole the idea and warped it for their nefarious purposes." The leader of the Metal Tribe grumbled in anger, before adding with an egotistical smirk. "But our machines are far superior to the Dark Tribe's mockeries, and we will prove it in battle!"

"Should we survive this fight." SteelCrusadermon dryly remarked, not hiding her doubts as she led the group into the palace and eventually arrived at the throne room, which contained banners bearing the Metal Tribe's symbol, as well as a golden throne, shaped like a cog wheel.

Before the throne was a Digimon the heroes and heroines assumed was the chief mystic of the Metal Tribe, ArchAlchemymon, who resembled a HiAlchemymon made of platinum clad in golden robes and allowing a large platinum gear to rest upon on his back.

Showing respect, the mystic Digimon bowed to his leader and to their guests.

Meanwhile, behind the throne, the heroes and heroines took in a massive golden sphere of light, contained in a series of cog wheels that spun around it, giving off the familiar energy, letting the heroes and heroines know that this was the primordial fragment of the Metal Tribe.

"In the name of our Primordial, Titaniummon, and his fragment, the Spark of Creation, I welcome you to our tribe, brave heroes and heroines of Witchelny." ArchAlchemymon said to the group, who bowed in respect to the mystic Digimon's greeting.

Joining ArchAlchemymon, Aurummon, IronTactimon and SteelCrusadermon before a large metal table, one with a map of the city on it, where the humans, Digimon and Appmon awaited to hear the situation and the plan of attack against the Dark Tribe.

Looking to the heroes and heroines, IronTactimon began his briefing as he explained to the group. "During the beginnings of the war, our tech was able to hold the Dark Tribe invaders off and keep our lands safe."

"But as the years dragged on, the enemy learned how to extract our style of Digi-magic from the very land itself, destroying much of our forests and wildlife for even a small drop of the Metal magic, where he used it to empower not only himself, but his invasion force as well, creating an army of metal monstrosities for the Dark Lady's ambition." The metal tactic Digimon then said, his explanation causing the heroes and heroines to nod in reply, now understanding the devastation they had passed on their way to the capital.

"Now, and most likely due to your presence, the enemy is making one massive push to the city, sending forth his mechanical army and machines, along with who knows what that the Dark Lady has given him. We have seen something massive marching on the ground with his forces, larger than even the Dark Arks. I fear that soon even the barrier will not be able to protect us." IronTactimon finished, pointing on the map and showing where the dark forces were coming from to all present.

"We'll help you drive them off." Davis said with determination, which was shared by the others as they mentally prepared to take down another of the Dark Lady's Dark Generals.

"And in return, we will join the alliance against the Dark Tribe." Aurummon then replied, adding with pride. "Our warriors and warmachines will bombard the Dark Lady and her servants back into the abyss that spawned them!"

Ignoring her leader's over zealous ego, SteelCrusadermon then stated as she turned her attention back to the Spark of Creation, telling the humans, Digimon and Appmon. "We are also aware of the Dark Lady's true target, and have erected a secondary shield around the Spark of Creation. As long as the generator is safely secured, she should not be able to obtain it."

"I wouldn't bet only on that." Takato remarked, the Digimon Tamer adding with a gclear concern. "She is more powerful than you know, and if she shows up, the battle will be tougher."

"Then we will need to work together in order to protect the city and the Spark." ArchAlchemymon said back, getting a nod from the heroes and his companions.

"So, what can you tell us about the incoming forces?" Mikey then questioned, the Red General wanting to know more about their next foe as the leaders of the Metal Tribe told them all they knew about their foe.

With the Dark Arks above their heads, the legions of the Dark Tribe invading the lands of the Metal Tribe pushed forward, some resembling normal and familiar Dark Digimon, while others were made of metal and a dark purple light as legions of former DarkWolfmon and DarkThrallmon had been converted and altered into coldblooded machine type Digimon, now known as IronWolfmon and MetalThrallmon.

Meanwhile, a massive construct marched on six legs in the middle of the vast army, where on a balcony of a tower on top of the machine, the Dark General of the invasion force mentally grinned.

Having formerly been a Lichmon, the Dark General was a menacing behemoth clad in pitch black armour, his appearance of pure dread and evil.

Running throughout the Dark General's being were various ports allowing the expel of dark purple energy to release and to emanate from his body.

Similar to the Lichmon, the Dark General's overall appearance was one of death, destruction and evil, with a skull-like face and skeletal fingers.

But with his upgrade, the being was now a dark knight, wielding a gigantic blade, a weapon of great and terrible power.

Hearing a familiar sound behind him, the Dark General turned towards the Dark Mirror behind him, to see the familiar face of Charonmon as the leader of the assaulting forces turned and walked towards the mirror, saying with a dark glee. "Ah, Charonmon, good timing, I was just about to begin the assault."

"MetalLichmon." The advisor of the Dark Lady replied as he looked to the Dark General and stated. "Know that the heroes have also arrived, the Dark Lady's chosen among them."

"That's good to hear. I'll have both of her prizes before the day's end tomorrow." MetalLichmon said in reply with glee, looking forward to his mechanical creations striking down the heroes that had defied the Dark Tribe for so long.

"Perhaps." Charonmon then said, adding as he then stated. "However, Our Mistress wants to make sure you do not fail, and is sending some... gifts."

At that moment, six portals opened before MetalLichmon, who then saw three figures emerge from the vortexes, leaving a dark smile to form on the Dark General's face, eager to see these warriors crush all before them.

Another battle for Witchelny's future was about to begin.
