For two days straight, the heroes and heroines followed Novicmon toward the Thunder Tribe's border, two uneventful days, much to the group's relief.
Despite not running into any trouble, the humans, Digimon and Appmon's nerves remained on a continued high alert, the group barely sleeping for more than a few hours as they pressed on.
Sharing a similar mind, the heroes and heroines were all hoping to reach the last tribe to join their alliance, who now could be the sole focus of the Dark Lady's wrath.
As the group continued through the Borderlands, the heroes and heroines looked to see the devastation around them.
Taking in their sight, the group saw the skies alight with volatile energy, the plant-life dying and the very earth beneath their feet was almost bare and drying up, all this thanks to the magical imbalance caused by the Dark Lady's ambition.
Now, after two days of travel, the group found themselves in a dried-out marsh, the lands of the Thunder Tribe, according to Novicmon.
"Ok, we're finally here." Takuya said as he looked around, seeing a small fog roll through the tree lines around there, the Warrior of Flame then turning his attention toward Novicmon and asking curiously. "How much further to the capital, Novicmon?"
"About half a day's walk." Novicmon informed in reply as he looked up from his map every now and then, the small mystic Digimon also remaining alert in the event something unexpected happened.
"Then we better keep an eye out." Davis then stated, the Digidestined of Miracles continuing to speak with a clear seriousness in his tone. "This is the last territory the Dark Tribe is invading, their soldiers could be anywhere."
The remainder of the group nodded in reply, each keeping an eye out on their surroundings as they continued toward the Thunder Tribe's capital.
About half an hour later, however, each member of the team caught something moving in the shadows within the corner of their eyes, putting the group on high alert as Haru stated in a whisper. "We're not alone."
Nodding slowly and cautiously readying themselves, It was then however that the heroes and heroines heard a familiar sound from the forest, one that caused them each to freeze as they recognized what they were hearing.
The hissing of a snake.
Their minds immediately reminded of Nagamon and the trouble caused by the Dark Digimon, the group went on alert as Novicmon quickly put his map away and brought up an energy barrier, one that would protect the group from any mesmeric or mind altering effects.
Reacting to Novicmon's defense, the shadows began to surround the team as they emerged from the trees and revealed their true forms.
Though not another Nagamon, much to the group's relief, the heroes and heroines soon found themselves surrounded by a small army of serpentine Digimon, each bearing the icon of the Dark Tribe upon their beings.
The first type, and most numerous, looked like humanoid Digimon covered from head to toe in dark purple scales, with dark armour on their chests, arms and legs, while their heads resembled normal snakes as their red eyes glared at the heroes and heroines, each gripping a set of blades in their hands.
The second type of Dark Digimon looked like a cross between the first type and a ShadowKnightmon, looking like serpentine humanoids clad in dark purple armour, which held snake designs upon them as the beings each held spears and shields, looking more disciplined than their lesser allies as they prepared to fight.
The third and final type of serpentine Digimon had the upper body of a female human, with a dark metal corset around their chests and snake masks covering their faces, each wielding a dark and menacing looking scepter in hand, showing that they were magic type Digimon, while reptilian wings came out of their backs, and their lower bodies where those of a serpent.
"ShadowBasiliskmon, SerpentKnightmon and SerpentWitchmon." Takato said as he read off the information from his D-Bracer, adding as he informed his friends. "ShadowBasiliskmon are Champion Level Digimon, while their friends are other two are Ultimate Level, with SerpentWitchmon being a magic type Digimon."
"Champions and Ultimates, this should be a piece of cake." Tagiru remarked with a confident grin, the Superstar believing he and his friends could easily take down the Dark serpentine Digimon before them.
However, a rumbling sound caused Tagiru to lose said confidence, before he and his friends turned to see something a gigantic figure slither its way out of the forest, knocking down some trees in the process, before encircling around the Dark Digimon and the heroes and heroines, who got a look at the being.
The new Digimon was a massive dark purple scaled cobra, one with three faces on its head as it let out a loud series of hisses down at the heroes and heroines.
"Serpentismon, a Mega Leveled Digimon." Davis said as he read the info on his D-Bracer, gritting his teeth to see the massive snake Digimon, while Tagiru gulped lightly to see Rika, Renamon, Yoshi and Lalamon glaring his way for jinxing them.
Steeling themselves, the heroes and heroines prepared to combine their might and to transform, while one of the SerpentWitchmon said with a hiss. "Capture the humansss, the Dark Lady commandsss it!"
Letting out their own hisses in response, the Serpentismon and its allies began to move, closing in on the heroes and heroines and preparing to capture them in the name of the Dark Lady.
Before the Dark Tribe Digimon could strike, a series of lighting bolts rained down upon them, the sudden strike even causing the Serpentismon to shriek in pain.
Turning and looking above, the heroes and heroines looked in surprise to see a being floating in the air behind the serpent Mega Digimon.
Most shocked out of the group were Takuya, Zoe, Marcus, Yoshi and their partners, for the new being bore a similar appearance to the Royal Knight, Dynasmon, only his armour was now illuminated with a bright neon green as opposed to its more familiar white.
Lightning bolts designed his chestplate and shoulder pads, while his wings were made of pure electricity.
As he glared down at the Dark Digimon before him, the electrically infused Dynasmon looked ready to continue in his assault.
"That's ThunderDynasmon, the Thunder Tribe's champion!" Novicmon told his friends in surprise and excitement, before he and his friends saw a large group of Digimon, no doubt from the Thunder Tribe, emerge from the forest to aid them.
The first type of Thunder Digimon resembled humanoid knights in neon green armour, each with yellow lightning designs on their armours, with lightning bolts coming out of their helmets and shoulder pads, while each held swords and shield, the latter of which bore a symbol of stain bolts of lightning coming together, the icon of the Thunder Tribe.
The second type of electric Digimon, much to Takuya and Zoe's delight, resembled Beetlemon, only the Digimon's armour was more knightly in appearance and lit up in a neon green colour.
Glared at the Dark Tribe Digimon with electrified lances in hand, the thunder infused Digimon were ready to fight their foes.
"Man, I wish I had a camera. JP would go nuts over these guys." The Warrior of Flame remarked, before his eyes widened at the third type of Digimon, which looked like gigantic Thundermon, each standing a few feet taller than their allies and all clad in knightly armour, wielding electrified maces as their choice of weapon.
Meanwhile, standing behind the gathering of Thunder Digimon were several large Digimon, the sight of them surprising Tai, Sora, Davis, Kari and their partners to see a variant of the Kabuterimon they knew so well, only these insect Digimon had neon green exoskeletons and were covered in knightly armour, much like like their allies, giving them a more nobler appearance than the Digimon of Knowledge.
Finally, standing before the Thunder Tribe warriors were a trio of Digimon clad in neon green robes, broken only by armour that had thunder and lightning bolt designs on them, with silver masks covering their faces and revealing neon green eyes as they each held staves shaped like lightning bolts, letting the heroes and heroines know that these were magic users of the Thunder Tribe as Sora looked to her D-Bracer and read off the information.
"ThunderKnightmon, KnightBeetlemon, BlitzThundermon, KnightKabuterimon and Theurgistmon, each are Champion Level Digimon, with Theurgistmon being a magic type user." The orange haired Digidestined informed, her words causing Astora to express some concerns.
"Wait, they're only Champions?! Half of these snake freaks are Ultimates!" The Apptuber commented with worry toward their potential allies, seeing the Serpentismon rear its heads as it moved to strike at ThunderDynasmon.
But before the gigantic snake Digimon could strike, two large objects, looking like lightning bolts, came crashing down on the Dark Digimon, the attack causing the Serpentismon to let out a piercing hiss of pain, before dissolving into Data particles.
Looking upon the attackers, the heroes and heroines were in awe to see two types of draconic Digimon before them, the strongest warriors of the Thunder Tribe.
The first, as expected, looked like a feral dragon, with blue scales and neon green lighting marks along its form, while three horns protruded from the top of its head and nose, the beast letting out a fierce roar as the heroes and heroines saw electricity spark within its maw.
The second type of draconic Digimon resembled the first, only this one was bipedal, and covered from head to toe in neon green armour, while wielding an electrified sword and shield as armaments, the crest of the Thunder Tribe displayed upon its shield.
"LightningDracomon and BlitzDracomon, both Mega Level Digimon." Kari said with a smile as she read the information from her D-Bracer.
Looking up as the draconic Digimon each let out roars at the Dark Tribe warriors, while ThunderDynasmon continued to glare at his foes, his claw-like hands brimming with electricity, the sight of the powerful backup renewed the faith within the humans, Digimon and Appmon.
Seeing the two draconic Digimon, the Thunder Tribe's champion and soldiers before them, as well as seeing the Serpentismon defeated, the remaining serpentine Digimon let out hisses, before turning and running in the opposite direction, the retreat leaving the heroes and heroines to sight in relief and for Novicmon to then release his barrier.
Looking up and seeing ThunderDynasmon land before them, the small mystic Digimon then took Infernomon's seal out of his hat and showed it to the Thunder Knight Digimon, who took a moment to look upon the item, before turning his attention to the heroes and heroines.
"So, you are the heroes that have been going around, uniting the tribes and driving off the Dark Tribe's forces." ThunderDynasmon stated as he looked before the humans, Digimon and Appmon in the group, growling lightly as he told the group bitterly. "I wish you had come here sooner."
"We apologize for not getting here soon." Davis replied apologetically for the group and for himself, telling the champion of the Thunder Tribe. "We had no intention of leaving your tribe for last, but we are here now, and we'll help drive the Dark Tribe forces out of your lands."
"You do not understand." ThunderDynasmon replied, his angry tone confusing the heroes and heroines, before the thunder knight Digimon turned and said over his shoulders. "Follow me and my warriors to the capital, all will be explained by Lord Fulgurmon."
Unsure as to what had happened, but nodding in agreement with ThunderDynasmon, the heroes and heroines began following the champion of the Thunder Tribe as his warriors formed a protective circle around them, leading the group towards their capital and whatever trouble they might encounter.

Following ThunderDynasmon, the heroes, heroines and their escorts soon arrived upon a massive medieval styled city, resembling some of the architecture they had seen from the Light and Wind Tribes, obut separating themselves from the other tribes as neon green flags bearing the thunderbolt icon of the Thunder Tribe upon them decorated the city's walls.
At the center of the city, Davis and his friends saw a massive castle, the structure covered with tall spires that went up into the clouds and lightning seemed to course through the spires, thus giving off a familiar energy that the group picked up on, the energy of a primordial fragment.
Despite the familiar energy, the heroes and heroines felt that there was something off about it, and it worried them greatly as ThunderDynasmon led the group through the gates of the capital.
Upon entering the city, seeing the various Digimon within looking to the heroes and heroines with hope in their eyes, the group saw four more new Digimon present, more warriors for the Thunder Tribe's defense.
The first type looked like upgraded versions of the ThunderKnightmon, with heavier armour, neon green capes and an extra set of lightning bolt designs protruding from their helmets.
The second type reminded the four Digidestined and their partners of MegaKabuterimon, only their shells and horns were neon green, while their arms, legs and even their face seemed to be made out of the same energy infused within the Thunder Tribe Digimon.
The next type reminded the heroes and heroines of the AirMilitusmon from the Wind Tribe, except instead of being made out of air, these elemental Digimon were made out of electricity, his neon green eyes staring at the group as they walked by.
Finally, the heroes and heroines took in an advanced form of the Theurgistmon, with neon green lightning bolts coming out of their backs, a type of Digimon the group had seen teaching at the magic school, where Zoe looked up the information on the new Digimon present.
"StormKnightmon, ThunderKabuterimon, Tempestasmon and ThunderTheurgistmon, all Ultimate Level Digimon, with ThunderTheurgistmon being a magic type." The Warrior of Wind informed the others as ThunderDynasmon led the group through the city, seeing more LightningDracomon and BlitzDracomon in the skies above them.
Arriving at the entrance to the castle, however, the heroes and heroines saw three Digimon waiting for them, and each knew that these were the remaining leaders of the Thunder Tribe.
On the left, the group saw a knight styled Tactimon in neon green armour, with thunderbolt designs upon his armour, his normal twin cannons on his back, and a mace in hand as his weapon.
On the right, meanwhile, was a far more advanced version of the Theurgistmon, having the same lightning bolts on his back as the ThunderTheurgistmon, but also having his hood off, revealing more lightning designs protruding from the top.
"StormTactimon and ArcaneTheurgistmon, both Mega Level Digimon." Yoshi whispered to the group as she quickly looked to her D-Bracer, her information causing the others to nod as they took in the chief military advisor and chief mystic Digimon of the Thunder Tribe.
Finally, in the middle of the trio was the Digimon known as Fulgurmon, a large and imposing warrior clad in a king's armour, they only sight of a being within the suit of neon green metal being a pair of glowing eyes.
Lightning bolt designs covered his regal armour, as well as forming shoulder pads, kneecaps and elbow caps, while several bolts protruded from the helmet like a crown as a large, neon green cape flowed from the back of the leader of the Thunder Tribe, a large sword his weapon of choice as it rested at his side.
"Welcome, at long last, heroes of Witchelny." Fulgurmon said with a kind and welcoming tone, this causing the heroes and heroines to bow politely in response to the leader of the Thunder Tribe, before Davis moved forward, approached the thunder Digimon and spoke for his friends.
"We are sorry we took so long to arrive here, but we are here to help in any way we can. The Thunder Tribe is the only tribe that has yet to join the alliance, and the other tribes need your aid to take the fight to the Dark Lady herself." The maroon haired Digidestined explained, adding as he looked to Fulgurmon and stated. "We will help you defend your primordial fragment and drive the Dark Tribe forces in your lands away, no matter what it takes."
"I am afraid you are too late for part of that." The leader of the Thunder Tribe replied with a solemn tone, his words confusing the heroes and heroines, before Fulgurmon then told Davis and his friends. "Follow me."
Obeying, the heroes and heroines followed the leaders of the Thunder Tribe as they entered the castle, walking down the hallways, before entering a large throne room, one covered with banners detailing the tribe's symbol and a massive throne made of gold, one shaped like a series of thunder bolts.
Behind the throne, meanwhile, was a massive pillar of electricity that ran up and through the main spire into the sky, giving off a neon green glow to it, where the heroes and heroines realized that this was the primordial fragment of the Thunder Tribe, the Eternal Thunder.
However, upon closer examination, Davis and the others realized that the primordial fragment was dimmer than it was supposed to be, the sight causing the maroon haired Digidestined's eyes to widen in realization, before he looked to Fulgurmon and asked in concern. "What happened?"
"Two days ago, the enemy launched an attack upon the city." The leader of the Thunder Tribe began, before continuing his explanation. "But upon driving them back, we returned to find the Dark Lady's assassin, Sciophobimon, with a strange device, draining the Eternal Thunder of its power. We were unable to stop him as he escaped with his prize."
Hearing this caused all the heroes and heroines to pale, realizing that as they fought off the invasion of the Metal Tribe, Sciophobimon had snuck in and taken the energy from the last primordial fragment before they could get there.
Now, it seemed that the Dark Lady had energy from all ten of the primordial fragments, and whatever her plan was could soon come into fruition.
Quickly glancing between one another, however, Davis, Mikey, Veemon, Shoutmon and Novicmon knew that whatever was to happen next, the Dark Lady would need her 'chosen', and would soon come after them herself once again.
"But, if they have the primordial fragment's energy, why are they still invading?" Eri then found herself asking in confusion, the pink haired idol puzzled as to why the Dark Lady would continue to attack the Thunder Tribe when she had already retrieved what she desired
"It is no longer a battle to claim the Eternal Thunder, but a war to wipe the Thunder Tribe out before we can aid in the alliance." StormTactimon explained, before looking at the heroes and heroines as he then stated. "And a battle to eliminate you, most likely, as well."
The group's eyes widened at this news, now understanding that their enemy was waiting for them to arrive, and would soon strike upon the city to try and eliminate them and the Thunder Tribe in one swift attack.
"My Lord!" A voice alerted from the hallways, the call causing the leaders of the Thunder Tribe and the heroes and heroines to see a StormKnightmon come running inside, where the knight Digimon quickly knelt before Fulgurmon as he caught his breath.
"My Lord, there is movement in the forests, signs of a massive host of Dark Tribe warriors, they seem to be surrounding the capital!" The StormKnightmon declared with further worry, his words causing everyone present to tense up with their own concerns.
"Begin to prepare our defenses!" Fulgurmon declared in reply, causing the knight Digimon to take off, before the leader of the Thunder Tribe declared with determination. "No matter what, we shall not allow that fiend, Medusamon, to wipe us out without a fight!"
Hearing the name of the final Dark General, most of the heroes and heroines' eyes widened in surprise, each having a possible idea of the foe they would end up facing very soon.

Slowly marching through the forests and marshes was a massive army of Dark Tribe forces, consisting of DarkWolfmon, BlackGargoylemon, ShadowBasiliskmon, ShadowKnightmon, SerpentKnightmon, Necromon, SerpentWitchmon, Umbramon, Serpentismon, DarkHydramon, DeathWendigomon, GrandUmbramon and SkullDracomon, making its way towards the Thunder Tribe's capital.
At the center of the dark forces was a throne being carried by a small group of SerpentKnightmon, and resting upon it was a Digimon with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a serpent with black scales.
The female Digimon's upper body had a dark purple metal corset around her chest, while her purple hair went down past her lower back, with only her two black feathered wings sticking out of the locks.
But at the end of the locks of hair were small serpentine heads, which hissed lightly as they swayed in the wind.
Upon the female's head was an ornate gold crown, shaped like serpent heads, while her snake-like eyes glistened as he looked upon the Dark Mirror a pair of Necromon were carrying, one bearing the image of Charonmon upon it.
"Charonmon, my forcesss have confirmed the heroesss are within the city." Medusamon, the last of the Dark Generals informed as she looked upon the mirror, a hissing sound escaping her purple lips as she talked, adding with her own delight. "We are moving upon the Thunder Tribe asss we ssspeak. I will claim our Missstresss' prize and wipe out all who would dare oppossse her."
"Do not fail her, Medusamon." Charonmon warned with a stern tone, adding as he looked upon the serpentine Digimon. "You may be our last Dark General, but the Dark Lady will not tolerate any failure. Capture the boy and bring him to us, or do not return at all."
"I will sssucceed, Charonmon, and I will claim the glory the Dark Lady hasss promised." Medusamon replied with a smirk, looking forward to ending the Thunder Tribe and the heroes once and for all, while also pleasing her Mistress by capturing her chosen.
Seeing the Thunder Tribe's capital in the distance, a wicked smirk graced Medusamon's face, her serpentine tongue licking her lips in anticipation for her victory.

As the Thunder Tribe warriors prepared for battle, each looked on in awe and hope as the heroes and heroines moved to join Fulgurmon on the city's wall, where the group saw the massive Dark Tribe army begin to emerge from the tree line, the sounds of battle cries and hisses filling the air as the skies above crackled with dark red energy.
"There is still time for you all to escape." The leader of the Thunder Tribe then stated as he looked to the heroes and heroines, expressing his care toward Witchelny's last hope. "The rest of Witchelny needs your aid and cannot afford to lose you at this time."
"They cannot afford to lose you either." Davis said back, looking to Fulgurmon as he said to the leader of the Thunder Tribe. "All nine tribes are needed to breach the walls of the Dark Tribe's lands and without you, there is no hope of winning, or taking the fight to the Dark Lady and ending this madness. We're here to help, no matter what."
Seeing the same determination within each of the heroes and heroines, Fulgurmon nodded in reply, looking back upon the approaching army, knowing that one of his messengers had gotten through and would hopefully reach the allied forces in time.
Looking upon the Dark Tribe forces themselves, the heroes and heroines prepared to do whatever they could to take down the last Dark General and protect the Thunder Tribe, to keep its citizens safe and to finally bring the fight to the Dark Lady herself.
Thus started the battle for the Thunder Tribe.
