Topaz POV

I was making lunch for Havana and Coby. Zoe was out having lunch with Addie, Justin, and James. While Alyssa and Zealand were at Caleb's house.

"Kids! Lunch!" I called and heard Havana and Coby come racing down the stairs. They sat down at the table when I put the red and yellow cups on the table.

"I want the red cup," Coby announced.

"But, honey, you always have the yellow."

"RED!" Coby yelled and reached for the red cup, I went to stop him but he caught my wrist and I felt a sudden burning pain. The one that I had felt when I was training with Hunter as a kid.

"OW!" I shrieked and yanked my hand away just as Tyler came into the room. Havana gasped when she saw what Coby had done.

"Coby! What's a rule in this house? No negative magic!" Tyler yelled at Coby.

"Don't hurt, Mommy!" Havana cried. "What was brought down upon me-" Havana started.

"NO NO NO! NO, honey! Don't you ever, ever say that! You could really hurt somebody!" I screamed, I picked up Coby while Tyler picked up Havana.

"You cannot say that to someone, ever. They can die from the pain. I don't want you to ever say that." Tyler told Havana, who was now crying. I took a look at my wrist and saw that there was a significant burn on it. I put Coby down on the table and went into the Kitchen. I got an icepack out of the freezer and put it on my hand, I turned towards the window as a tear fell down my cheek. I'm so scared. I never knew that Coby would be this powerful, this soon. I felt Tyler come up behind me and wrap his arms around my waist.

"What's wrong?" He asked me, kissing my neck.

"Nothing. I just need to go. I'm going to the main house. I'll be back in a few hours." I told him before getting in my car and driving to the main house. When I got there, I spent some time in the car gathering all my emotions quickly, but, not quick enough. Because Uncle Jasper felt my emotions and came outside. He walked around the car and opened the door, sitting inside with me.

"What's on your mind? I felt your emotions. You're feeling stressed, pained, and overwhelmed." Uncle Jaz asked. I took a deep breath and took the icepack off of my wrist, revealing the severe burn that Coby gave me.

"What the hell? What happened?" He asked.

"I made the kids lunch and when I put the cups down Coby wanted to have the red cup. I told him that he always has the yellow, and when he reached for the red cup, I tried to stop him but his hand caught my wrist and he burnt me with his powers. I'm so scared, Uncle Jaz!" Of course, the waterworks had to start. I burst into tears. "I'm scared because his powers have developed. It's too early, I'm scared that he'll hurt someone. That he'll hurt them so badly. I just need a break so I'm here to spend some time with my Father." I told Uncle Jaz. He nodded and I got out of the car.

I went to find my Father and found him on the couch reading a book. I sat down next to him and cuddled into his side, he looked at me and he kissed my forehead.

"You grew up way too fast. It feels like you were a baby 2 minutes ago. It's really hard to process how fast you grew up." Dad told me, hugging me closer to him.

"Aw, Dad."

"I love you with my entire heart. And it feels like I've lost you. Like, you're married and have 5 kids." Dad explained and a tear fell from his eye and trailed down his cheek.

"Please don't cry. You're gonna make me cry."
