A/N: Just a soft, smutty little New Year's Eve morning one-shot between Elliot and Olivia. Thank you the amazing people I've gotten the pleasure to meet this year. I love you all insanely.
Olivia woke up in the comfort of his embrace, the warmth and solidity of him surrounding her from behind and making her feel loved and safe. Smiling to herself, she reveled in the feeling of his hard, naked body pressed against hers. The surreal feeling that, after all this time, she got to sleep next to him. Love him. And somehow, he loved her back. With everything he had.
He'd more than proved to her that he was never going to leave again. Never going to hurt her again. And she believed him and allowed herself to be truly happy with the one man she was always supposed to be with. Olivia never thought of him as a hopeless romantic, but hell, he spoiled her every opportunity he got. Impromptu coffee deliveries, flowers, date nights. It was as though he was fitting 23 years worth of what he wished he could do for her, and to her, into such a short time. And to Olivia's own surprise, it didn't overwhelm her. It just felt natural. And damn good.
Turning to face him, she saw his mouth slightly agape and chuckled as he snored. She looked at the clock on the nightstand. 7:15 AM. It'd be so easy to lean in and kiss him awake. To straddle his waist and lower herself onto him, and pick up right where they left off the previous night. She wanted him, but he deserved to sleep just a bit longer. They were going to be up late that night after all. She opted for gently kissing the tip of his nose and carefully climbing out of bed. Grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around herself, she walked towards the window.
It was going to be their first New Year's Eve. They'd spent the day together in previous years. Stuck at the station, marathoning through paperwork, silently wishing they could be each other's midnight kiss but instead opting for toasting each other from across their desks with crappy precinct coffee. This year they were going to make up for all those missed midnight kisses, plus a hell of a lot more.
Elliot decided to host the family at his place for the night. Having everyone important to him by his side sounded like the perfect way to close out a difficult year. It would be the first time Kieran and Seamus were allowed to stay up to watch the ball drop, the first time he'd kiss the love of his life at midnight, and Elliot didn't want to miss a second of it. Neither did Olivia.
Pulling the curtains back slowly, she gasped to herself as she looked out at the sea of white covering the grass, sidewalks, and neighboring rooftops. It was still flurrying, and it took her breath away. Her gaze dropped from the sky to the right of the window where she could just make out small footprints from an animal that had walked through the freshly fallen snow.
Elliot woke slowly, sensing that Olivia was no longer in bed with him. Opening his eyes, he took a moment to let them adjust to the light from the outside streaming through the window. His eyes immediately landed on Olivia, standing in front of it, looking out at the snow falling while wearing only his blanket. It was long enough to cover the top half of her body, but that didn't stop Elliot's heart from beating just a bit faster. She was devastatingly beautiful. Her long hair mussed from sleep and her long legs that, just 8 hours ago, were wrapped around his waist as he fucked her. He smiled to himself, silently thanking God that 2021 brought him back home. To New York, and to her.
So immersed in the sight before her, Olivia didn't hear Elliot get out of bed, but as he made his way closer, she sensed him and her smile only grew bigger. She felt his arms wrap around her waist as he placed a kiss on her cheek. "Good morning." His voice was husky and laced with sleep. One of Olivia's biggest weaknesses when it came to him. It was one of the reasons why, sometimes, they couldn't bear to leave the confines of the bedroom in the morning before she begged him to take her. The blanket was draped around her loosely and Elliot traced lazy patterns across her abdomen as he rested his chin on her right shoulder. Olivia wanted his hands to inch lower, but more than that, she wanted to enjoy this moment with him before they jumped right back into bed.
"Mmm," she hummed. "Beautiful isn't it? Like seeing it for the very first time…" Olivia's voice trailed off as she continued to watch the snow falling from the sky. But Elliot was watching something else. She was his favorite storm. Strong and powerful, but the more of her you saw, the more hypnotized you became by her beauty. And once you saw the sunshine poke through her tough-as-nails exterior, you were hooked.
"Yes, you are." Olivia's breath caught in her throat as the words left his mouth. Elliot moved his hand from her stomach to grasp her chin and turn her head towards him. She felt the blush creep up in her cheeks as he placed a passionate kiss on her lips, his stubble tickling her face making goosebumps break out across her skin. She felt the kiss from the top of her head right down to her toes as his tongue traced her bottom lip. Her mouth opened, allowing him access and when their tongues touched, she heard a low groan escape from his throat.
Walking in front of her and never breaking their kiss, the blanket dropped from Olivia's body, leaving her bare. It was hands and fingers feeling and touching, teeth and tongues nipping and tasting as they got wrapped up in each other, the snow still falling from the sky outside.
They broke the kiss to get some air, Elliot's erection poking Olivia's thigh. Her eyes met his and he leaned forward, touching his forehead to hers. Their fingers found their way to each others', just like they always did in intimate moments such as this, and Elliot caressed her thumb with his. "So.." he kissed her softly, "how do you want to spend the last morning of 2021 before the circus gets here?"
Olivia laughed and removed her right hand from his, reaching down to grab his cock. "I can see you have an idea of how you want to spend the morning." Elliot hissed as she moved her hand slowly up and down, spreading the pre-cum that had started leaking out. "And I have the same one."
"Liv…baby," he groaned. "God that feels so good."
He reached between them and found her wet and ready as her hand continued to move, moaning as she kissed her way up his jaw to his mouth. He gathered her dripping arousal and rubbed her clit in slow circles, making her whimper.
"Bed," Olivia said between kisses. "Need you in me."
That was the only way they wanted to spend their morning. Tangled together in the bedsheets long before anyone else woke up. Removing his fingers from her, he grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up, wrapping her legs around him, his erection knocking her already-sensitive clit. Walking them back towards the bed, he kissed her slowly. He placed her down gently and swiped his thumb over her left nipple one, two, three times as she trembled. Nodding at her to scoot backwards, he climbed on the bed to hover over her. They were both breathing heavy with anticipation, knowing the places they could take the other.
The snow had slowed down, and the sky was becoming brighter as Elliot lined himself up with her entrance, swiping her clit once. "I love you, Liv." He sank into her slowly, deeply, eliciting a closed-mouthed moan from her. They didn't want to wake the rest of the house by the creaks of the bed or the volume of the sounds she made.
Elliot laced her fingers with his and placed them on either side of her head as he moved within her. She met him thrust for thrust as their lips came together in a frenzy, only breaking apart to breathe. She raked her nails down his back, sure to leave marks there, and dug the heels of her feet into his ass, urging him to move just a little faster. He kissed her neck hesitantly, making sure not to mark her, not wanting his children, mother, and grandchildren to see her sporting hickeys as they enjoyed their wholesome, family New Year's Eve.
She began to clench around him. "Jesus, Olivia," And he continued to slam into her.
"Touch me, El. I'm so close. Fucking touch me." He obliged and reached down to rub her clit while she whispered in his ear how good he felt. How wet he made her. How she wanted to feel him when he came buried deep inside of her.
Her moans became more high pitched as he hit her back walls, covering her mouth to muffle the cry that escaped her. Mesmerized at the sight of her writhing beneath him, he whispered, "Open your eyes, Liv. I wanna see them when you come."
Her browns met his blues and that was all it took for her to shatter around him, never breaking eye contact as she tried to hold back her screams. It only took two more thrusts of Elliot's hips for him to spill himself inside of her, his orgasm prolonging hers.
Both breathing heavy and coming back down to Earth, he gently rolled them over so he wouldn't crush her. Olivia sighed at the feeling of his cock still inside of her as she adjusted herself on top of him.
"El…" He looked up at her and could see the tears forming in her eyes and threatening to escape. He knew he didn't hurt her. It was the enormity of the moment. The last morning of the year and they were spending it in bed together, the last place either of them thought they'd be a year ago. And truthfully, the last place either of them thought they'd be even 6 months ago. But they were here now, and the only direction to move was forward.
"Olivia…" he brought his lips to hers, breathing life back into her as he wrapped his arms around her, still intimately connected. "I love you so much." He peppered her face with light kisses. Her nose, cheek, jaw, anywhere he could reach.
She brought her hands up to his shoulders so she could pull away and look down at him. "Thank you, El."
"For what?"
"For coming back to me," she leaned down to kiss him, never closing her eyes. "For loving me."
He moved his hands to cup her face. "Thank you for trusting me again. And for allowing me to love you."
"I love you." Her lip quivered as the tears fell and Elliot wiped them away with his thumbs.
"You have no idea, Liv. No idea."
She sighed and laid her head on his chest, and they stayed like that for a while, basking in the aftermath of their love making and stealing a few lazy kisses here and there. The sun started to shine brightly through the window, the snowstorm making its way out of the city and setting up for a bright day ahead.
Midnight would bring a toast to what was to come for them, and for all they've been through in the 23 years since they'd met, but these quiet, intimate moments were worth toasting to every day and were never to be lost on them, no matter how many New Year's Eves were to follow.
End.
