Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to friendship, family, love, and the Fairy tail. Today's story takes place after the final season(which was amazing, by the way), so anyway, read and review and tell me what you think.

let's move on to the story

title: Yukino's dilemma

Summary: if she had known her sister and best friend had a history, she might have talked to them a bit more before asking to hang out for a day. Hell, she might have had them work out their differences first, but nope, and well, it went about as well as you'd expect.

relationship: Yukino, Sorano, and Lucy

"come on, sis," Yukino said as she dragged her sister through the streets of their home town "I can't wait for today," she said, giving Sorano a bright smile as the older girl sighed, "another day with my big sister" she smiled as Sorano tried to slow her sister down.

"slow down, Yukino," Sorano begged. She was excited to meet this friend of hers. However, it was still no reason to rush after letting out a loud yawn as she rubbed her eyes "so who's this friend of yours," she asked, "you haven't really talked about her well she had, but every time, the sting would barge in shouted something or other she was a few feet away from hitting him and knocking him into next week.

"oh well, she's a friend of mine from fairy tail," Yukino told her as a skeptical grin grew on her sister's face "she's also a celestial wizard like me," she said, giving her a bright grin.

"wait," Sorano muttered as they arrived at the train station.

"Hey Lucy," Yukino called, and so Sorano's worse fears were realized. She watched as the two exchanged greetings; she then pointed to her as she and Lucy meet gazes; she could have sworn she heard a pin drop time seemed to freeze as they both realized what this meant.

"what are you doing here!" they both screamed, shocking Yukino, who shrunk into the background.

"umm, what," Yukino asked, "you guys know each other" her question was completely ignored as the two were in each other's faces, or more likely, Sorano was in Lucy's face as the girl had a terrified look.

"So how exactly are you doing here, Heartfilia," Sorano asked in a cold tone. "I can't believe you're the best friend that my sister won't shut up about."

"as you can talk," Lucy shot back. "I can't believe someone so nice can be related to someone so vile."

"hey," Sorano shouted as sparks flew between the pair as Yukino stepped in and separated the pair.

"Okay, let's calm down," Sorano said, trying to reason "now anyone wants to explain what's going," she asked as both girls looked away.

"it nothing, sis," Sorano admitted

Lucy rose a brow before a smile formed on her face "nothing, just old friends greeting each other," she said, getting a death look from Sorano as she muttered something, "I wish I had known you two were sisters, or I would let you know about her sooner."

"oh, it's alright," Yukino told her. "I'm just glad she came back."

"Yeah, well, I'm happy for you," Lucy said as she shot a grin at Sorano.

"yeah," she said through gritted teeth, "nice to see you again, Lucy."

Later the group had found themselves at a cafe, and things were awkward. Lucy and Sorano almost refused to talk to each other, and most conversations were either forced or instigated by her looking between them. She wanted to know what happened; she knew her sister had a criminal past, but what happened so bad that they ended up like this? She noticed the waiter had approached them.

"oh, I'll take a lemonade," Yukino said

"strawberry lemonade," Sorano and Lucy said in almost perfect unison before looking at each other and looking away; they even ordered the same meal it was then she realized something" you know," Yukino muttered, "you too are actually a lot alike."

"what!" they both scream. "I am nothing like her," they both screamed at her before backing up "sorry, I didn't mean to shout" before they looked at each other."

"stop that!" they screamed, realizing they were talking together, "stop copying me."

"Stop it."

"you're the one who needs to stop."

"know you're doing it on purpose."

"no, I'm not."

"yes, you are."

Yukino couldn't help but laugh as the two continued as both look away from each other angrily "oh come, you two remind some much of each other," she said, trying to hide her laugh.

Lucy looked like she was about to say something but stopped as she looked away. "I need to go to the restroom she muttered before leaving. Yukino tried to stop her.

"it's okay," Lucy said. "I'll be right back."

as the girl left, Yukino turned to her sister, who was staring guiltily looking at the ground "sis," she asked, "what happened between you" she asked

"it's nothing," Sorano told her, "just-"

"part of your past," Yukino finished, "you know I won't blame you for what happened."

"that," she stopped, "don't worry about it," Sorano said. "I don't want to think about it."

Yukino smiled "you know Lucy, I pretty forgiving person," she told her, "and I'm sure she'd be willing to forgive you for whatever you did," Yukino said

"Yeah, sure," Sorano said. "I'll grab another thing of napkins; she said as she walked away.

Yukino let out another sigh 'man' Yukino was baffled; she honestly wanted her Sorano and Lucy to get along, but the task seemed impossible she honestly wondered what had gone on between the two that made them so like this between each other, but the better question is how could she fix this there had to be something she could do to help them work whatever this was

"Hey, I'm back," Lucy said, pulling the girl out of her thoughts "where did Ang- I mean Sorano goes," she asked.

"oh, umm," Yukino said, "she went to get some napkins for us," she told her as a thought came to her mind "so what is the story between you and my sister Lucy," she asked as Lucy sat down.

"umm well," Lucy looked away "don't worry about it," Lucy told her, trying to fake smile "it all in the past, and that was like nine years ago, so it doesn't really matter right now," Lucy said as Yukino looked at her "did you really think that she and I are alike."

"well yeah," Yukino told her, "you're both kind and caring," she smiled, "and I can always count on you two," she smiled, "and you helped me no matter how much I mess up."

Lucy couldn't help but smile; she had never imagined Sorano as a kind and caring person, but the Nirvana incident played in her head, and what happened to Karen and their fight 'maybe I am just petty.'

"I'm back," Sorano said

"Okay," Yukino said in a sorrowful tone in her voice as the two sat in an uncomfortable silence that filled the air looking between the two. Yukino massaged her temples as she stood up. "I need to step out for a moment," she muttered, leaving the two."

"Yuki," Sorano almost shouted, but the girl was already gone as Sorano looked back at Lucy, their eyes meet a sense of dread coming over them "look," Sorano muttered, " I know we sorta got off. On the wrong foot."

"yeah," Lucy muttered. "I guess I don't know," she looked back, "did you miss her."

"every day," Sorano told her, "at first I thought she was dead" Sorano frowned as she looked down, "but know" she stopped when she felt Lucy place a hand on hers and smile.

"I think it's time we both moved on," Lucy told her, smiling no point in holding onto the past anymore, right. besides, I think we've lived in regret for too long" Lucy looked away. "Lucy sighed, "if anything, we need to move past this" Lucy smiled "for Yukino."

"I," Sorano stopped, a small smile coming to her face, "okay, but still, I don't think I'm ready to tell her about what I've done in my past."

"aww," a voice said, making the girls jump up as they saw Yukino smiling. "I didn't know you cared so much."

"hey, stop that," Sorano shouted.

"she just drowns on and on about you, Yukino," Lucy giggled.

"stop it!"

"well, if anything, we can enjoy the rest of the day now," Yukino asked, a smile on her face as Sorano looked away with a small blush on her face.

"fine," she muttered, "whatever" inwardly, she was smiling as if a part of her had been lifted; she smiled as the server brought their food. they spent the rest of the evening talking about their guild and such

"so how is Natsu," Yukino asked

"oh, pretty much the same," Lucy told her, "how's guild life, Sabretooth treating you well."

"yes," Yukino told her, "sting been doing great as our guild master."

"though, I must admit he reminds me a lot of that dragon slayer friend of yours, "Sorano told her "the only difference is aside from not being as cute, he seems to bluff a lot."

"oh, really," Lucy asked, "how so."

"Nothing too major; he just seems to show off a lot," Sorano told her "he only apparently does when he's around my sister."

"ya know, Natsu was telling me a lot about Dragon traits that are often passed on to dragon slayers," Lucy explained "showing bravado is a common one," Lucy told her, "though they claim is one of the calmer traits, but" she stopped as she whispered the last part in her ears.

"I am going to kill him," Sorano muttered.

"what? Why"

Sorano just looked at her.

"Your too good for him."

"what"

Lucy could only laugh as Sorano looked away "big sis knows best; don't forget that."

"okay"

as the day came to a close, they bid farewell to Lucy, the girl smiling gas they left. Yukino smiled, "I'm glad you to are started to get along," Sorano just smiled,

"yeah," she said, "me too, sis."

and another story is done. Let me know what you think. This one is a little slow, but I want to see an interaction like this, and this is how I feel it would go that is Lucy and Sorano would have made up off-screen nut I can still have my fun.

until next time
