Hey, fairy tail fans, I'm back with another exciting chapter of friendship, love, family, and the fairy tail. Today's story is another dragon slayer fic because I know how much you all love those—nothing else for you guys to worry about. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Unfortunately, this one will be short cause I didn't have a lot of ways to extend it.
Title: Remorse
Summary: This takes place shortly after Lisanna's death. Natsu and Mira have a much-needed heart to heart about how her sister affected their friendship and where they will go from there
relationship: Natsu and Mira, brother and sister
Natsu stood silent as he sat where he and Lisanna's old hideout was; his mind felt numb. He still couldn't believe that Lisanna was dead. She couldn't be. He felt numb and cold; his best friend was gone; he'd never see her again, never be able to see her smile or eat her wonderful cooking.g He looked to the side of him. Happy had long since left. He went off the find some fish,h so know Natsu was alone.
"Hey Natsu," a voice called to the young dragon slayer. He looked back to see Mira standing behind him, a look of sorrow in her eyes as she approached him "how ya doing" there was a hint of sorrow in her voice as she approached him. Natsu didn't look at her as he looked into the distance.
"I'm okay," he lied. He was very not okay, but he wouldn't want anyone to worry about him. Mira and Elfman were the ones hurting right now, and the guild needed to support them "peachy," he said, holding back tears.
"you know," Mira whispered. "Lisanna was right; you are a terrible liar," she laughed. Ash looked away "it's okay to be hurt, ya know."
"I don't know what you're talking about," he said as Mira sat down next to him; she said nothing as they sat there, the only sound being the sound of birds chirping and the sound of the wind hitting the leaves "her funeral is this Friday," Mira said, "just thought you wanted to know" she got up to leave-taking one last look at Natsu as she started to walk away.
"she loved the sunsets here," Natsu said, making Mira stop as she looked around "she'd always drag me out here, so we could watch them together" he smiled at the memory. "I guess I thought being here would help me."
"Natsu," Mira whispered as she turned back; she looked in the distance as she sat back down, "you wanna talk about it."
I don't," she stopped him.
"Please," Mira told him, " I know she meant a lot to you" Mira smiled "everyone been all over Elfman and Me ever since it's happened, but I've seen the way you've been looking"
Natsu sighed, defeated. "I thought about sneaking on that job," Natsu told her, which shocked Mira but wasn't out of the ordinary; he was known for doing reckless things but still sneaking on an S-class job that seemed like a bit much "I decided against it cause well" he smiled "I knew you'd beat my but, but now"
"don't talk like that," Mira told him. "I would've let you come," she looked to the side. If she were honest, she wouldn't have minded him coming "if anything, you've proven your strength, but we can't think about what was," she smiled at him. "I'm sure she wouldn't blame you for what happened."
"Yeah, I guess," Natsu said as Mira scooted closer to him, "it's just, I don't know," Natsu said, "I could talk to her."
"I know we never got off on the right foot," Mira told him as she gripped his hand, "but you don't have to feel like that "but I always like you in a way" she smiled "you meant the world to her"
"you did too," Natsu told her. Another wave of silence came over the pair as they looked into the distance.
"you know," Mira stated, "you can talk to me," she smiled. "Your sister-in-law just so happens to be a great counselor."
"oh goodness, not you to" Natsu couldn't help but chuckle, "we weren't married."
"so you didn't want to marry my sister," Mira teased as a blush grew on Natsu's face as he looked away "oh my god, you did want to marry her" Mira started laughing as she smiled at him.
"now I'll never get to tell her," Natsu muttered.
"don't think like that," Mira nudged him "she knew," she smiled at him," when two people love each other, there are some things you don't need to tell each other."
"yeah," Natsu muttered. "I guess," he smiled, "thanks, Mira."
"No problem," Miura told him as she looked in the distance. The sun had started to set "she was right, ya know," she said, getting his attention, "the sunsets here are beautiful" she looked at Natsu and smiles. "I might have to drag you out here now, and then," she looked at him and smiled, "don't worry, I'll be here for you."
Natsu smiled at the gesture as he took a look at the sunset one more time "thanks," he smiled as an idea ran through his head. Soon, the small memorial was placed near their old hideout, so she could watch the sunsets with them when they did come back.
And that's a wrap
I feel like that was bland; oh well, in any case, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. For my next piece of work, it may end up being a story on its own so keep an eye out for that. So this may be the last chapter of a long string of updates. again, if you have any prompt suggestions, leave them in the comments
until next time
