"Come on, talk now! Talk now!" Miguel screamed at Sam, using one hand to keep her on her feet and the other to rain down heavy blows all over Sam's body. She was barely conscious at this point, but Miguel was still not letting up, not showing mercy. He let go of Sam for a moment and let her slide to the ground beneath him, for one glorious moment Sam daring to hope that the torture was over. She wasn't getting off that easily. Instead, as Sam lay on the ground, Miguel continued to kick her, still hurtling insults her way, letting out all of his suppressed fury. "Yeah, not so strong now that mommy and daddy can't come save you or pay you out of trouble, huh?! This is what happens when you screw people over for your own interests and they have the balls to fight back!"

Sam, meanwhile, was helpless. All she could do was curl up into a foetal ball, sobbing, praying that eventually Miguel would show mercy and leave. She couldn't gather the strength to even lift her arms and legs, let alone stand up and fight him. Miguel was so incensed, so in the zone, that he didn't even notice the two dojos all gathering around outside. They had all sprinted outside and for a moment, everyone was silent, temporarily in shock, the only sounds filling the air were those of Miguel's fists and feet crashing against Sam. But then, a moment later, everybody unfroze, and war commenced…

Everyone made a beeline towards their rival. Bert towards Nate. Mitch towards Chris. Hawk sprinted towards Demetri, thoroughly uninterested in Miguel's beatdown on Sam. He knew his friend had easily won and didn't need help, as well as the fact that his fury towards Demetri was more pressing than anything else in his mind. In fact, nobody seemed to even care about what was going on between Miguel and Sam. They all just took it as an excuse to wage war on their nemeses. The only person who ran towards Sam, having to struggle to push through the tide of fights all around him, was Robby. He desperately took off as fast as he could towards Sam, but just as he was about to make it over to them and shove Miguel out of the way, he felt his legs being swept out from underneath him, sending him crashing onto his back. He immediately shot back up, only to find himself face to face with Tory. Tory had initially analysed what was going on and although her first instinct was to go after Sam and help Miguel in beating her up. However, as soon as she had seen Robby charging towards them, she knew that to prolong the fight she needed to take out Robby and keep him away from Sam and Miguel for as long as possible.

Robby rose to his feet, scowling at Tory.

"Move." He growled, a single word dripping in menace and desperation. He knew that with every passing second, it was another second with Sam at the hands of that monster.

"Make me." She snapped back, before charging at him.

Tory put up a valiant fight. She really did. Her all-out, unorthodox, uber-aggressive strategy put Robby on the back foot, and it was all he could do to parry the strikes as they flew dangerously close to his head. It was hard, nearly impossible, to guess what she was going to do because as soon as he thought he had learned her rhythm, she ended up switching it up to something different. All Robby could physically do was sit and wait, defend until Tory's first wave of attack ceased and she got a little tired, before making his own move. He was able to do this pretty quickly, much quicker than he expected, as Tory's all-in approach was a pretty tiring strategy and she could feel herself tailing off pretty quickly. But she forced herself to carry on, forced herself to push down any fatigue that was creeping into her muscles, because she knew that not only would Robby stop the fight between Sam and Miguel, but it would also potentially put Miguel in a lot of danger at the hands of a furious Robby.

The blonde tried with all her might to keep Robby at bay, but the greater fighter prevailed. Robby managed to counter one of Tory's combinations and he kneed her in the stomach. As she kneeled over, coughing and spluttering after the heavy hit, Robby conked her over the head, knocking her to the ground in a heap. She lay there, extremely dazed, temporarily out of the fight, and that gave Robby the opportunity to make it over to Miguel. As he was reaching them, he glanced sideways and saw a bunch of chairs lying around. Instinctually, he grabbed one and hurried the rest of the way over to Miguel and Sam. As he came close to them, his heart stopped. Miguel hadn't just beaten up Sam. He had mauled her. Her face was scarily covered in blood, the crimson liquid also seeping through her face from various wounds all over her body. Seeing his girlfriend like this sent a blood-curdling rage pumping through Robby's body. It was the same level anger Miguel was laying into Sam with, and Robby used it to lunge at his nemesis, who was so wrapped up by Sam that he hadn't noticed Robby behind him. With Miguel's back to him, defenseless, Robby raised the chair aloft and sent it crashing into Miguel's back.

"Argh!" Miguel groaned in pain, slumping to his knees in pain, and another blow to the same spot in the small of his back rendered him nearly unconscious from the pain.

"That's what you get for laying a hand on Sam!" Robby shouted. As Miguel looked up, the rest of his body in too much pain to rise, he laughed pitifully at Robby.

"Turn around and walk away, Robby. This isn't about you." Miguel remarked.

"Like hell it isn't!" Robby yelled, smashing him yet again with the chair. Miguel felt his whole body momentarily convulse in agony as he felt the heavy strike against his back yet again. Miguel coughed a few times before forcing the ghost of a dry smile onto his lips.

"Man, you honestly don't have a clue about what's going on. If anything, you should be thanking me."

This comment caused Robby to temporarily halt with his chair aloft. He wavered slightly.

"Why the fuck would I thank you? The hell are you talking about?" He snapped. Miguel smirked wider, genuinely enjoying this part because at the moment, strangely, he hated Sam even more than he did Robby.

"Do you even know why you're fighting right now?" Miguel remarked. "You're fighting for a girlfriend who just cheated on you by trying to kiss me. She literally offered me to get back together with her, and was planning to dump you in a second to be with me again."

Robby looked at Miguel, unsure, for a moment, before shaking his head furiously.

"No, you're wrong!" He declared. Miguel raised an eyebrow.

"Am I? Because I'm sure that if you look closely, you can probably still see traces of her lipstick on my mouth." He murmured in reply. Though he was massively enjoying getting into the head of his arch-rival, the shooting pains all over his body prevented him from standing up to face him.

"Even if she did kiss you, which I still don't believe she did, Sam's a good person. Sure she makes mistakes but she's still a good person."

Miguel had to laugh loudly at that.

"You know, I'm so confused. Please answer me this, Robby… how do you people defend her so much? She made a mistake, right? But I thought the definition of a mistake is a one-off thing that you learn from, right?"

"It… it is." Robby stammered, even more unsure about what was going on now. Miguel shrugged.

"Right. But Sam did exactly what she did tonight, again less than 3 months ago. She tried to get with a guy when already in a relationship." Miguel pointed out.

"No. That's bullshit." Robby snapped. "What happened at the end of your relationship with her was your fault. You shouldn't have gotten drunk and hit her at that party!"

Miguel chuckled drily.

"You realise this is what she does, right? It's taken me a while to finally realise it because I was so into her before. But now I'm able to see through her charade. She sees a guy of interest to her. She forms a crush, and then she'll get together with him and do anything to stay together with him. You know, be the perfect girlfriend. Act with that mother-teresa level kindness. That Black Widow badassness. Everything you love to see in a girl. But then, as quickly as her interest forms, it fades and she casts you aside like rotten meat. She loses all interest, attachment and sympathy for you. You mean nothing to her anymore and the best part is… she finds a way to take 0 responsibility in the breakup!"

"No, that's not what happens." Robby growled.

"Is it not? She's so manipulative, Robby, that she creates the perfect scenario for herself: one where she can play the victim so can move on with no guilt, no one judging her, and no one any the wiser."

Robby faltered further, having to seriously stop and think about this. Could Miguel be right? Meanwhile, Miguel had managed to gain the strength to return to his feet and feeling a bit of strength began to ebb back to his weary bones, he immediately charged at Robby. He knew that he was in a bad state and this would be his best, his only chance, to get out of this fight as soon as possible. He needed to take out Robby while Robby was distracted but unfortunately, it didn't quite work. Miguel managed to get a couple of weak strikes in before Robby caught on, and he was filled with new fury. That weasel Miguel had seriously just tried to get into his head with trash talk and then while distracted, try and kiss his ass. The son of a bitch was too weak to fight him like a man, and instead resorted to pitiful tactics like these.

Robby blocked Miguel's incoming kick with his chair, Miguel's hand bouncing off the steel. Gasping in pain, Miguel clutched his hand, which was already pretty bloody after all of the fighting so far, and Robby then moved in for a kill. After clobbering Miguel once more over the head with the chair, he grabbed Miguel as the Cobra collapsed, dragging him over to the pool and shoving his head under the water…
