Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome back to friendship, family, love, and the Fairy tail, a unique chapter today that I'm honestly surprised that no one on this archive has done that I've found but whatever. When you want something done, you do it yourself or sit back and accept that's it not done. That's what I always say anyway. as always, tell me what you think, leave a review, and all that jazz.

Title: the unexpected reunion

Summary: Natsu meets an unexpected person while hanging out at the fairy tail guild, one that he seems to know very well

relationship: Natsu dragneel and Anna Heartfilia: mother-son type relationship)

"You wanna say that again, you are stripping ice princess" Natsu yelled

"You heard me dragon breath" Gray shouted

"So uh," Macao asked, "what are they arguing about this time," he wondered. Natsu and Gray were in the middle of another argument at this point; the entire guild was starting to get used to the two's arguments it was becoming pretty standard. though most of them wished that the due would argue less, it was pretty entertaining to watch and place bets on who would hit who first

"Uh, I think I missed it," Wakaba said, "though I think they just looked at each other this time" he smiled.

"How long till Erza gets here," Macao asked

"I'd say about," he looked at his watch, "a good fifteen seconds," he said before silently counting to fifteen in his head before the doors kicked open, revealing the armored wizard as she glared at Natsu and Gray. They had stopped arguing in fear as Erza walked up to them before hitting them both on the head, making both Macao and Wakaba laugh.

"How many times do I have to tell you," Erza screamed

Natsu sighed once again. It's not his fault that this ice stripper is so infuriating that he can't focus on what he should be doing. Was it Happy? No, wait, he was with Lisanna today something about mother-son time or whatever, not like he tried not to think of what went through the youngest Strauss siblings head when it came to him, and Happy "Natsu" Erza screamed, pulling him out of his thoughts "are you listing."

"Yes," Natsu said quickly

"No, you weren't pyro."

"Shut it, Ice princess," Natsu screamed back before the two could start. Erza pushed them both from each other, landing them on the ground.

"Stop it" Erza screamed Erza was about to start again when Natsu shot up, looking around. "Natsu," she asked as the boy looked around. There was a sense of urgency in how he looked before he started to sniff the air "what's wrong," she asked as Natsu walked away from her. Sniffing the air like he was sensing something, it was off to her, but she wouldn't be ignored "hey, I'm talking to you." she shouted, only to be still ignored by him as he walked up to the door.

"Maybe that last hit you die finally fried his brain." Gray joked

"I didn't hit you that hard," Erza muttered, "grow a spine," Gray said nothing as he rubbed the bruise on his head

"Hey Natsu," a voice called. They looked to see Lisanna had walked in the guild behind her Happy was flying, running up to him only for him to walk past her as well. "Natsu," she asked. That was when Erza knew something was wrong. Natsu rarely ever outright ignored Lisanna, and the only time he did was when Gray was involved, and he was standing right next to her. What had the dragon slayer attention "are you okay" Lisanna asked.

"Aye," Happy said, "maybe he's thinking of fish."

Natsu said nothing. He didn't even know the two were next to him. His nose was going crazy. There was a scent in the air, a familiar one, it was unique, but it wasn't Igneel. No, this one was feminine. He knew that much, but why it seemed so familiar, he didn't know, but his hand instinctively went to his scarf. He knew this person, and if he knew this person, they would know Igneel. If they knew Igneel, a light bulb went off in his head before he ran off, scaring both Happy and Lisanna as he busted out the guild doors, rushing past both Mira and Elfman as everyone watched him run off in utter confusion.

"Natsu," Happy said, activating his wings come back," Happy screamed as he ran after his best friend. "I want some fish too." Mira and Elfman watched as he flew by again, still confused as to what was going on

"Wait, Happy," Lisanna screamed, rushing after the blue feline, "don't go running off like that," she shouted "oh hey big sis, big brother elf, later," she said as she ran off after the dragon slayer and flying cat as the pair looked in confusion as Erza walked up to the door.

"What was that about" Mira muttered

"I have no idea," Erza admitted, "but I'm going to find out," she said, walking past her.

"she's only saying that cause flame brain started ignoring her," Gray said. "I'm sure he'll be fine."

"Put on some clothes," Mira told him, scaring the boy as Elfman patted him on the back.

Erza ignored their antics as she looked in the distance. She wondered what Natsu had so worked up that it had him running off as he did. She then remembered that he had clutched his scarf before leaving "could it be Igneel" she muttered, getting everyone else attention.

"His dragon," Gray asked

"What makes you say that red" Mira asked

"Before he left," Erza looked down. "I saw him grabbing his scarf," she said

"Yeah, so," Mira said

"He tells me that Igneel gave it to him," Erza said

"Yeah, I remember that," Mira said, "so you think that Igneel's come back for him," Erza said nothing "hey," Mira screamed Erza continued to ignore her, leaving obviously going to follow Natsu "I'm talking to you read," she screamed

"I think she's more concerned about Natsu than you right now," Gray said

"What was that" Mira screamed at him

"Nothing"

Natsu ran as fast as he could hear someone shouting his name but right now, whoever it was could wait. He needed to find out who this was. Their scent was warming, calming, and too familiar, and yet he couldn't tell. If there was something that Natsu prided himself on was his nose, and while he would admit he was terrible at names, he'd never forget someone's scent. He could tell who someone was by their scent alone, from Erza to the jerk Gray. But he had no idea who this was, then why was it so familiar to him. Eventually, he found himself in the east forest, coming to a stop. memories coming to his head he heard what he thought was a women's voice it was kind, caring and comforting "who is she" Natsu wondered as he walked the scent, he was smelling getting stronger "is there anyone there" he screamed nothing "I know your there so come out."

"My my," a voice called Natsu heard this turning he saw someone a hood covering their face covering their eyes, but he could see their smile "as loud as ever I see," she muttered.

"Who are you" Natsu shouted, "tell me now."

"What, you don't recognize me, Natsu" the person seemed a bit saddened before shaking their heads "maybe it was a side effect," she wondered "maybe you do," she looked at him, taking off her hood, her blond hair falling down giving a smile, "or maybe it was my hood young on, now tell me how's my little fire dragon doing."

"Sensei," Natsu muttered like a flash. The memories came back to him. It was her, his teacher, the one who would visit him. when he stayed with Igneel, the person who would help with his writing other than Igneel, and here she was. "Ms. Anna," Natsu said. He felt tears come to his face. "I," he stopped trying to hold back his tears before feeling her warm embrace around him being lifted off the ground.

"it's okay," she said, "it's okay" Natsu started to cry the feeling of tears on her robe was there she smiled before planting a small kiss on his cheek "don't worry, she said, "I'm here" she smiled as she held him close "I'm here young one."

a few hours had passed Natsu, and Anna know he had a name at the base of a tree "where did Igneel go" Natsu asked. "I woke up one day, and he was just gone," he asked as Anna a look of sorrow came over her face.

"Natsu I" Anna stopped. "Igneel had to go away for a bit," she said

"What," Natsu asked, "why."

"I," she stopped again, "just know that he has to take care of something with the other dragons," she admitted. "I don't know how long this will take, but that you will see him again."

"Oh," Natsu said, "it must be important if Igneel had to leave," Natsu said, "but why did he just leave me in the woods," he asked.

"That was my fault," Anna admitted rubbing his head. "I was supposed to get you all, but there were complications that made you all get separated."

"other's," Natsu asked, confused.

"Like I said complication, my child," she said, "don't worry in time, everything will start to make sense" Natsu grumbled something as he snuggled further into her lap. Anna said nothing, glad that she could find at least one of the dragon slayer children now she needed to track down the others. "I do hope you been behaving yourself, Natsu," she joked as the boy looked away, clearly embarrassed.

"it's not my fault," he grumbled out.

Erza had since caught up to Lisanna, who had, in turn, caught up to Happy; however, the trio lost Natsu. so now they were trying to locate the dragon slayer and hopefully meet this dragon he always talked about "where did you think Natsu ran off to" Lisanna asked

"I don't know," Erza said, "but we need to find him," Erza said

"Natsu not one to get lost, though," Lisann said

"I know," Erza said, "but you know how he gets."

"Yeah," the pair stopped when they heard what seemed like humming, crouching down. Erza and Lisanna started moving slowly, with Happy floating close to the ground through the bushes. As they tried to find the source of the humming, they stopped when they what looked like a blond woman sitting on the ground and a familiar mop of pink hair in her lap. She seemed to be comforting him, making them wonder what had exactly transpired between the two.

"Who's that," Lisanna asked.

"I don't know," Erza said, "has Natsu ever mentioned someone of her description."

"Not that I know off," Lisanna admitted as they learned in, trying to listen in on their conversation

"So, after Igneel, I was found by Gramps," Natsu said

"Gramps" Anna asked

"Yeah, he's a nice man. We call him gramps cause he's so old, and he's sorta like a father to everyone back in the guild."

"Ah yes," Anna said, "fairy tail, right."

"Yeah, huh," Natsu said, "it's the best place ever" he smiled. "I've made so many friends too."

"I can imagine, young one," Anna replied

"I think Natsu know here," Lisanna said before the two could converse any further Happy came from the bushes. running up to his best friend

"Natsu," he screamed, shocking the boy, "this isn't fish."

"When did I mention fish," Natsu said, sitting up

"You didn't" Happy screamed

"And who might he be," Anna asked

"Oh, this is Happy," Natsu said. "I hatched him from an egg," Natsu said smiling.

"That sounds interesting," Anna admitted even though that seemed far-fetched. However, she knew better than anything to doubt things that people tell, especially when it came to one of the dragon slayer children she was in charge of as two more people came out of the bushes behind them.

"Oh, hey Lisanna, Erza, what are you doing here," Natsu asked

"Who is this, Natsu" Erza trying not to sound accusatory, but she still wanted to know why A. Natsu had run off from the guild earlier, and B. had apparently gone up a stranger and was lying in her lap. It was poor manners in her mind

"Oh, this," Natsu said "this is my old Sensi Anna," she said, "I Haven't seen her in a while, and she was nearby."

"Really," Lisanna asked, "you were Natsu's teacher" a confused look came over her face. "Wait, then what about Igneel."

"While yes," Anna admitted, "Natsu was indeed raised by Igneel, dragons aren't the best when it comes to human social cues," she said, laughing at how often Igneel would try to teach Natsu something that would seem normal for dragons but to a human would be entirely crazy "so you could say I was there to make sure they could function in a human society."

"I see," Erza said, looking at Natsu. She had never seen the boy so happy she couldn't help but smile "it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Yes," Anna said, "Natu has told me about you," she said, "Erza and Lisanna, right."

"Yep," Lisanna said, "I'm going to be Natsu's future wife," she said

"We aren't married," Natsu screamed

"My Natsu, look you," Anna teased, "you've grown more than I thought you."

"Come on," Natsu grumbled as he hides his blushing face

"So, what," Lisanna asked, "did she tell you where Igneel was"

"He had to go," Natsu said. Anna felt him clutch her arm. She smiled at him, "but he'll be back" Natsu smiled "I know it," shaking his head "oh yeah, Anna," Natsu shouted, "you should come back to guild" he smiled, trying to pull her up "you have to meet the others" he said

"Well, if you insist, Natsu," she smiled.

"Yeah, I know you'll enjoy it" Natsu smiled as Lisann Happy and Erza followed. it was nice to see Natsu again. The smile on his face was something she would treasure for the rest of her life. Even though she couldn't tell him the entire truth, she knew that she would be able to watch over him until that fateful day came. She just hoped that he could handle it when it finally came.

And that's a wrap

You know, so far, I've only found one story that details Anna's relationship with the dragon slayers. Others seem to only ship her with people, which I find weird cause the only thing we know about her character is that she was Natsu, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, and Rouges' caretaker, but whatever like I said earlier. When you want something done, you do it yourself and sit back or accept that's it not done. so, expect a few more chapters that detail the relationship between Anna and the dragon slayers when I'll right them no idea, so as always

Until next time
