I don't remember much about when I first arrived to the Palace in the Ruins. I was a year old at the time. My mother Arial was Queen Toriel's best friend. The queen would always tell me that My mother had to go somewhere and wouldn't be back for a while and I had to stay with the King and Queen...I haven't seen her for a year now. I remember when Queen Toriel came into my room with a letter and she was crying. My mother had been killed trying to flee the Waterfall Kingdom...I don't understand what's going on...but something tells me I will find out someday. A year later I was in Queen Toriel's room drawing pictures as she was sitting in a rocking chair humming a tune as she crocheted a pink blanket. The Castle is going to have two new members very soon and the King and Queen are very excited about it. I on the other hand...am not quite sure what to make of it.
"Sans my child May I see what you're drawing" She asks me. I look at her and smiled and showed her what I was drawing. It's a picture of the King and Queen with my mom and me. But I'm hiding my face with a cloak that's way too big on me.
"For you your majesty" I said as I handed the picture to her.
"This is very lovely Sans Thank you" She said.
"When will the new members be here your majesty it's boring being the only kid here besides my cousin Papyrus I want friends to play with" I said.
"Do not worry my child They will arrive very soon but you must be patient" She said as she placed her hand on her stomach. I turned my head towards the door as someone knocked. "Come in"
"Pardon the intrusion your majesty but it's time for your check up" Lady Muffet said as she walked into the room. "Sans Dear can you wait outside this won't take too long"
"Yeah yeah I get it It's grown up time" I said as I left the room and leaned against the wall after shutting the door behind me. She says it won't take too long but it usually takes a while before she would come out. While the King is gone I'm the one that looks after the Queen...Since mom died Queen Toriel is like a second mother to me and since I don't remember my father King Asgore is more like a father figure to me. This time was different than all the other times. Lady Muffet opens the door and runs out the room heading towards the Throne room calling King Asgore's name. "What was that all about she looks like she's seen a ghost"
"It'll take some time for them to be here but the New members are coming Sans" She says to me as she smiles. My eyes lit up. But as soon as she said that to me King Asgore and Lady Muffet came into the room and Lady Muffet pushed me out of the room.
It's been hours. It was starting to become nightfall as the moonlight was coming in through the window hitting my face. I look down as I see that my hands were loosing their skin. I don't know why but At night I turn into a monster. A Skeleton Monster to be exact. No one knows about it but the King and Queen and Lady Muffet. I hope the Queen is alright She's been screaming bloody murder for a while now...I wanna go check on her but they won't let me in the room...I'm worried about her...Next time that door opens I'm going to sneak in and check up on her. As if god was reading my mind the door opened as some of the servants ran out of the room and headed towards the bathroom. I quickly sneaked into the room where I saw The king was sitting in a chair by Queen Toriel. He looked like something bad happened so I ran to the other chair beside him and climbed into it as I saw her sleeping but breathing heavily. "Is something wrong with her your Highness" I ask.
"S-Sans You shouldn't be here get out of here right now" Lady Muffet said to me in a very angered tone trying to get me to leave the room.
"It's quite alright Muffet he is allowed to be here" King Asgore said as he looked at her with Saddened eyes. I notice that he was holding something wrapped in the blue blanket that Queen Toriel had made before she started working on the pink blanket.
"But Sire he is much too young to be here" She said. I looked over and noticed that she was messing with something in a bucket of water.
"What's going on Your Highness" I ask. He looked down at me and smiled then looks over to Lady Muffet and nods his head.
"Bring the child here Muffet...Let Sans hold her" He said.
"Her" I ask tilting my head in confusion. A minute later lady Muffet walks over to me holding something wrapped in the pink blanket that Queen Toriel had made and handed it to me.
"Be sure to Support her head now Dearie She's very fragile" She says to me. I look down in my bony arms as I see a sleeping baby girl. My eyes widened as I felt something inside me. I don't know what it was but it makes me feel like I should do anything and everything to protect this baby. I'm not sure why looking at this baby would make me feel like this.
"S-She's...Beautiful" I said not looking away from her.
"Toriel and I were talking the other day and we have thought about giving her the middle name Arial in honor of your mother But we wanted to run it by you to see if that would be alright Sans" The King said to me.
"D-Does she...Have a name" I asked.
"Frisk" He said.
I continue to look down at the baby in thought. After a couple of minutes I smiled. "Princess Frisk Arial Dreamurr...It's a Perfect name for her" I said.
The King looks at me and Smiles. "I have a feeling that you, Papyrus, Frisk, and Chara will be great Friends Sans" He said.
"Who's Chara" I asked him. He looks down at the blanket in his arms and shows me a baby boy wrapped in the blanket.
"This is Prince Chara Roman Dreamurr Frisk's older brother" He said.
So these are the new members of the Castle Queen Toriel was telling me about...But how did they get here I mean they didn't go through the castle gates. I am so confused right now. Queen Toriel was in a Coma for a few days after Frisk and Chara came to the castle. I didn't know why though. It didn't take too long for me to get attached to Frisk and Chara My body moved on it's own Whenever I held Frisk it's like I played Keep away with her from the grown ups. Grillby and Muffet were always so mad at me but King Asgore just thought I was being protective of her. He only told me to give Frisk to Lady Muffet when it was time for her to be cleaned or changed but gave me the important job of feeding her bottles. I know that She should be in her crib whenever she needed to sleep but I felt like if I wasn't holding her then she wasn't safe. I didn't mind holding her when she slept anyway it made me feel like I was useful to the King and Queen. Tibia honest ever since mom died I haven't been sleeping very well...Sometimes not at all...Waking up from nightmares and all...But whenever I hold her Whenever she slept I slept and it felt nice being able to protect someone while they slept in my arms.
A few months later I remember falling asleep on the couch holding the princess but when I woke up she was gone. I was in a panic looking everywhere for her until I found her with the King and Queen. I was relieved when I saw her with them but at the same time...I felt sad that I wasn't holding her. Tibia honest the only ones who hold the princess is her parents and me...I know I shouldn't but...I'm the one that holds her the most...Rumors are starting to go around the castle that because of how much time I spend with the princess They call me her personal knight or something like that. I didn't realize that I was deep in thought that I was startled by the King when he placed his hand on my shoulder. "Are you alright Sans you seem troubled by something" He asked.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine Your highness...I just feel...Confused...Tibia Honest...I've been feeling confused for a while now" I told him.
"About what my child" I hear Queen Toriel's voice from the other side of me as she held the princess in her arms. I explained to them what all I felt whenever I held the princess and how I feel so protective of her. They told me that it could be partial to me being the first one to hold the princess the day she arrived. The King thinks that it's because I'm acting as a big brother to them but the Queen says that it's something called...love.
"YUCK! What the heck is love It sounds gross" I said. They both chuckled. I looked down at the princess when I saw her quickly open her eyes as she woke up in a gasp and started crying. Then she woke up her brother. My soul ached when I saw the princess crying. She woke up from a night fright and usually I always soothed her by singing to her but I only do that when I'm alone so that no one could hear my god awful singing. I gently pressed my head to hers trying to sooth her but it didn't help. I have to sing to her in order for her to calm down but I'm afraid to now that the King and Queen are around. The king calmed the Prince down with ease but the Queen couldn't calm the princess no matter how hard she tried. I sighed and took a deep breath and closed my eye sockets. I guess I have to become a buttercup and 'suck it up' cause I'm the only one to calm her down.
"Rest now my Princess There's no need to cry I will protect you I don't need to try I may be young and free but I will never flee If a monster gives you a scare I'll always be there There's nothing to fear so let me dry your tears So rest my princess just close your eyes I'll be here with you for the next sunrise" I began to sing. Almost immediately She stopped crying. When I opened my eye sockets again she was reaching out for me, smiling as expected. I love her adorable smile.
"Sans my dear child How on earth did you calm her down so effortlessly" The queen asked sweetly.
"W-Well I-I uhh I-It was nothing I gotta go" I stampered before I teleported out of their sights. I reappeared a few yards away leaning against the wall of the hall. Why couldn't I just tell them. I stayed hidden as the King called out for me. I could hear the princess crying again as the Queen tried to calm her down but to no avail.
"Sans won't you come out We are not mad at you In fact Quite the opposite I will admit we were a bit surprised at how you calmed Frisk down almost immediately" The King began to say.
"But at the same time We shouldn't really be surprised seeing is how you and Frisk had made such a special bond and I for one think your voice is very sweet when you sing" The Queen said. My eye sockets grew black. Has she heard me sing to the Princess before...Without my knowing. I clinched my soul as I felt it beat faster and faster inside my chest...Am I...Afraid...no...I don't get scared of anything...So why is my soul beating so fast. I shrugged it off.. It's gotta be nothing. Right?
About two years later, the prince and princess were in the garden learning how to walk from the King to the Queen. My cousin Papyrus beside them waiting so eagerly to see his best friend Chara learn to walk. I was on the other side of the garden having a wooden sword fight with a new recruit in training to be a Royal knight for the new King in Waterfall. She was a couple years older than me and she came with a much older man who looked to be about ready to retire from being in the Royal Knights. He called himself Sir Gerson I think. She also claimed that he was her mentor. "Come Sans If you really want to fight to protect you must become stronger and if you want to become stronger than you need to become stronger and join the Royal Knights like I did" She began to say. I don't know too much about her except that her name is Undyne and she has a curse similar to mine where she turns into a walking fish person at night. I just look at her and smiled.
"I may want to become stronger and I know I have the 'gills' to protect the Prince and Princess I don't think I would have the 'backbone' to put in the effort to join but maybe some other time 'Bassy'" I joked as I dodged another of her attacks using my teleportation power. When I reappeared behind her my eyes widened as I saw that she had tripped over a rock and was about to crash land into the princess who was for some odd reason passed right by the King and was trying to walk towards me. Not even two seconds later I was standing in front of the Princess as I stopped Undyne with my Sword then threw her to the side. For some reason but when she and I glared at each other before throwing her to the side. Her facial expression looked like she was afraid. I turn my head to her as she got up. "Guess I win huh Undyne"
Undyne looked at me with fear in her eyes until she started smiling at me. "That's exactly the Kind of thing the Royal knights need That sheer natural intense look in your face and eyes That proves that you have the will to protect and not only that but you would do anything and everything to protect" She explained.
I didn't understand what she meant. I looked down to notice the princess clinching my pant leg to keep herself standing as she looked up at me Smiling as usual. I smiled back and picked her up hugging her tightly. "You alright Princess the mean fish face didn't hurt you did she" I asked. She just smiled and giggled at me. She opened her mouth as if she was about to say something. I look up to see the Queen holding the prince in her arms as the King, Papyrus, and Sir Gerson ran over to us to make sure the princess was alright.
"Is she hurt Sans" The King asked with worry in his eyes.
"Not a scratch on her My King She appears to be unphased by what happened" He said.
"What's your name young man" Sir Gerson asked.
"I'm Sans Sir" I replied.
"Ah You are King Gaster's eldest nephew then You have quite some power there Sans With the proper training you would be a Great asset to King Asgore's Knights" He said.
"Sorry Sir Gerson but I'm not interested in being in the Royal Knights That's more my Cousin Papyrus's thing It's his dream to join the Royal Knights" I replied as I looked down at the princess Still hugging me smiling as she started to fall asleep in my arms. I tried to hand the princess to the King but she wouldn't let go of me. I smiled sadly. "I love you too princess but you gotta go back to your daddy now" I said.
"Sa...Sa...Ns...Sans...Lo...Ve...Love Sans" She said as she held me tighter. Everyone's eyes widened including mine.
"WOWIE SANS DID YOU HEAR THAT SHE SAID SHE LOVES YOU" Papyrus said excitedly.
I looked at King Asgore as he smiled happily. "Her First words" He said as he started to cry happily. Were those really the Princess's First words.
"Love Sans Love Sans Love Sans" The Princess repeated. It made me feel a bit embarrassed and a bit sad hearing that her first word was my name instead of Dada or Mama like it normally would like for the Prince his first word was Dada while his second word was Papy for Papyrus. But the Princess's first word was Sans...My name...Truly I'm honored for her first word to be my name but...why.
"Hey Sans Hows about you and me spar again I wanna see what that power of yours is truly capable of" Undyne said.
"OH I WANNA SPAR WITH YOU UNDYNE" Papyrus said excitedly.
"Sans why don't you have a break to play with Frisk and Chara while Papyrus can have some fun Sparring with Undyne I'm afraid that me and Toriel have to get back to Signing documents We will have Lady Muffet come get you children when dinner is ready" The King said to us.
"WOWIE THANK YOU YOUR HIGHNESS" Papyrus said before he bowed to them then ran off with Undyne.
"Bye bye Papy" Chara said as he waved at Papyrus. The Queen sets the Prince down telling him to hold my hand before she leaves fallowing the King to the throne room. I look back to see Sir Gerson watching Undyne and Papyrus fight.
"You said that I was King Gaster's nephew...What did you mean by that" I asked as I sat down with the prince and princess on the blanket. As the prince and Princess were drawing scribbles on paper I was tying buttercups together to make a flower grown for the princess.
"His Highness King Gaster is the middle child of three children. The Eldest one was your father Roman and the Youngest being Papyrus's mother Lucida...You don't know too much about your family do you Sans" Sir Gerson said.
"The King and Queen won't tell me much about my father but the Queen has told me all about my mother...Als I know is that my father's name was Roman and of course I've met and I know about my Aunt Lucida and Uncle Imprint" I explained.
"Although Gaster may be the new King now He will never compare to our old King" Sir Gerson said.
"Who was the King before King Gaster" I asked as I looked up at him.
He looks down at me and smiled then looks back at Undyne and Papyrus. "He was a monster that was much too good for his own people He was always so kind and generous to humans and monsters alike no one could compare to him not even King Gaster" Sir Gerson said.
"The old King was a Monster really" I asked.
"Yes he was a Skeleton Monster But he also had a Child but no one knows where he's at now but we old geezers have hope that the True heir to his throne is still alive" He explained.
"The King had a Son" I asked.
"Yes but no one knows where he is or if he's even alive...But we old people will always have hope that he will one day return to the Waterfall Kingdom and take back his rightful place on the throne...But that's enough rambling from an old man like me It's getting dark out and Undyne and I have to go back to the Waterfall Kingdom in the morning...But you should consider joining the Ruins Royal Knights It might help you better protect the prince and princess with that powerful magic you have within you" He said.
"Magic...You mean my Teleportation power" I asked.
"Yes your Teleportation power is Magic and I'm thinking that you have some other magic you're hiding" Gerson said.
"Magic huh" I said as I looked down when I felt the princess crawl into my lap She handed me a scribbled picture.
"Love Sans" She said.
"Is this me Princess" I ask as I look at her. She giggles at me. I'll take that as a yes. I smiled at her as I put the buttercup crown on her head. "And this is a beautiful crown for a beautiful Princess"
"Love Sans Love Sans Love Sans" She Cheered before hugging me. I hear Sir Gerson chuckle.
"It seems the Princess is quite fond of you young man Though that is to be expected since you were the one to take care of her while the Queen was in her coma the day they were born" He said.
"Yeah...But sometimes I feel like I shouldn't have Taken care of them like I did during that time in her coma I mean they need to be with their parents much more than with a mere servant like me...I mean sure the King and Queen are raising me as if I'm one of their own but I'm not And rumors went around the whole castle that people have been calling me their personal Knight To the Princess in particular because of how I acted when she was a baby...I'm not sure why I act so protective of her besides the fact that she's the princess...I don't even know if I was supposed to be the first one to hold her" I explained as I looked down to see the princess was fast asleep in my arms along with her brother who had also climbed into my other lap. I smiled and hugged them both. "All I do know is that I'm here for them now as if I'm a big brother to them Keeping a close eye socket on them when I need to"
He looks to me as the moon started to rise as my skin started to disappear. He chuckled. "Though it's true that you are a Big brother figure to the Prince...But what about to the Princess Are you a Brother figure to her...or are you something more" He asked. I looked at him in confusion. Of course I'm a big brother figure to the Princess as well as the Prince...Aren't I.
A few months later the prince and princess's third birthday was upon us but I also thought about what Sir Gerson said to me about better protecting them if I became a Royal Knight...So I decided to join the Royal Knights. I trained under Sir Dogamy and Lady Dogarissa until I turned fifteen. During my training however...The princess and I saw less and less of each other over the years that one day she stopped talking to me completely and when we do speak she acts like she hates me. Does she really hate me that much though. I mean I know she hates my awful puns and jokes cause they get on hers and the Prince's nerves...Is it because she's upset that the King and Queen separated and the King took the Prince and Papyrus with him to the Kingdom Beyond Hotland...I remember seeing her cry when they left...it made my heart ache so much seeing her like that. She locked herself in her room for a month afterwards. As I was carving a wooden statue of her and the prince to give to her for her thirteenth birthday I over heard Monster Teen or MT for short talking to another squire on the training grounds.
"Hey Did ya hear Rumors are going around that there's this giant flower in the garden at the royal palace and those who go see it will have their wish come true but if you get near it you can get sick from it and not even know it until it's too late" He said.
"That's just an old wives tale MT there's no such thing as a giant flower in the royal palace" Said the Squire.
"You don't know that you've never been there before" MT said.
"Well neither have you" Said the Squire.
They must've noticed me sitting in the shade of the trees since MT called out for me. "HEY SANS You live at the palace right so you MUST'VE been to the gardens a thousand times with the Prince and Princess" He called out to me. I quickly hide the carving so that they wouldn't see it and put away my knife as I got up and walked over to them.
"Sure I have but I don't think there's any 'flower power' like that growing around there But if you guys want me to I could 'Stem' out the place to find some clues sometime tomorrow" I joked. They both Chuckled and groaned at my jokes.
"That's right you have the day off tomorrow don't you Sans Plus you're getting ready to become a full Knight in a month and join the Royal Guard" Said the squire.
"You're so lucky dude bunny boy and I still have a couple of years before we become full fledged Knights" MT said.
"Just you wait those two years will fly by before you know it" I said.
"Anyway Can you check out the Palace Gardens tomorrow to see if the Rumors are true" MT asked. I thought about it for a little bit then nodded my head.
"You can 'Leaf' it to me" I said as I winked at them. They groaned again.
"Speaking of Rumors I heard that the princess has been locked up in her room crying since the King and the Prince left She won't even come out of her room to eat...The people have been getting worried about her" The Squire said as he looked down in sadness.
I looked away. Sadly that rumor is true I go to her room every day to try to get her to eat something even to the point of teleporting into her room trying to make her eat something. I'm so worried about her that I can hardly sleep at night. I can always tell whenever she wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares somehow but since she doesn't remember me turning into a monster at night I can't teleport to her to comfort her anymore. Not only that but Somehow I can just sense that she calls my name at night in her sleep...Could it be because of the bond we share.
"Hey dude Earth to Sans Is anyone home" I was shook from my trance from MT and the Squire.
"Huh What's up" I asked.
"Are the rumors true about the princess" MT asked.
"Oh...Y-Yeah...It's true" I said sadly.
"You've known the Prince and Princess since they were born that this whole situation about her must be tearing you up inside isn't it" MT said.
"Well I was like a big brother to them so of course I'm worried about her But she's heart broken cause her Twin brother left her when the King and queen Separated" I told them.
"Sans...How do you feel about the Princess" MT asked me.
"She's our crowned princess everyone loves her" I said.
"No Sans...How do you truly feel about her...Everyone knows that you were the very first person to hold her the day she was born Not to mention how you acted when she was a baby You practically played keep away from the adults in the castle with her that you hardly let her out of your sights Also You even made up your own Lullaby for her when you were younger...And don't get us started on how you protect her from all the guys that would try and ask her out...So face it Sans...You're in love with her...Aren't you" Mt said as he looked at me. My eyes widened as I stepped back a bit. How did he know about the Lullaby I made for her and How did he know about how I acted when I was a kid.
I cleared my throat and calmed down taking a deep breath. "That was a long time ago MT...We don't talk much anymore now" I said sadly.
"But you still have the bond the two of you created that day and that will never break...Sure in the beginning you thought of your bond as a Brother sister type of bond...but now that the two of you are older...What do you really think about her as a person Not as the princess like most men think of her as" MT asked me.
I looked down in thought. I've never actually thought about the princess as more than my little sister...my best friend before now. "Hey MT if Sans doesn't love the princess then maybe you should ask her out haven't you had a crush on her for a few years now" said the Squire. I glared over at both of them My eye glowing a bright blue.
"Take one step close to her and I'll end you" I said meanly. They just look at me and smile.
"You're totally in love with her Sans" MT said. My eye stops glowing as I look at them in confusion. "How you acted just now when he said that proves to us that you're in love with Princess Frisk...Think about it dude...You're afraid to see her with some other no ANY other guy THAT'S Why you protect her whenever someone tries to ask her out...I think you've always been in love with her since the very beginning Sans...and you just didn't know it"
My eyes widened as I felt my cheeks get warm. Have I really been in love with the princess for all this time and not even noticed it until now? Was this what the Queen was trying to tell me all those years ago? I looked down in thought. The more I thought about the princess the more my cheeks got hotter. This feeling that I've had bottled up for so long...Is that what that feeling's called?...This feeling that I've ignored for all these years?...Love? A-am I...Really in love with her? Just then I felt something wet fall from my eyes and down my cheeks. "Are you okay Sans...You're crying" I hear the Squire ask.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine" I said as I rubbed my eyes to dry them then smiled at them. But the truth was I wasn't alright. They were right. I have fallen in love with the princess...and I fell so hard for her and not even know it till now. And the fact that She isn't herself is tearing my soul to pieces. I look up at the sky as I saw that it was getting dark out. "I-I should get going I've trained enough for today" I said Before I teleported from the training grounds to my room in the castle. I take off my armor and put on my blue jacket with white fur on the hood that the Queen had made for me for Christmas last year. I look at myself in the mirror as my skin began to disappear, The Princess would never fall for a mere servant like me...especially not like this.
My Eye sockets turned black as I sensed the Princess was nearby. I teleported to my window as I saw that she was out in the gardens by herself. My soul skipped a beat as I noticed that she was wearing the purple silk night gown under the white fur cloak with the purple silk lining The Queen had also made for her. She appeared to be talking to someone. My eye glew it's bright blue color as I teleported from my bedroom to behind a large hedge close to the center of the garden hiding myself so that Frisk and Whoever she was talking with wouldn't know I was there.
"Golly Are you sure that is your wish princess a bond like that is something anyone would envy you for I thought for sure your wish would be to get your mother and father back together and you would want to have things back the way they used to be But a bond like that can't simply be broken by a mere wish alone but it also requires mind manipulation or memory erasure and a humans mind cannot handle such magic" I hear a child's voice. I glance over as I see that Frisk was talking to a yellow flower.
"It's as they say Flowey if you truly love someone you let them go...I love him like an older brother and I'm happy and appreciative that he's help mom and dad care for me and Chara since birth But he shouldn't have gone through the whole burden of caring for me in the middle of the night when he was still a young child himself and now that he's going to graduate and become a Royal Knight he doesn't need to be bothered with protecting me anymore...He needs to learn that I can take care of myself and I'm tired of feeling like I'm nothing but a burden to him" Frisk said as she looked down at the flower in sadness.
"Are you sure this is what you really want Princess once a wish like this is granted Your bond...and possibly your memories of each other...will be erased" The flower called Flowey said. I see her nod head yes. "Alright then...Come back tomorrow at noon...I shall grant your wish then"
A couple seconds later I hear her coughing. I look over to see that she was about to feint. I teleported and caught her as she fell into my arms. Thank god I had gloves on or else she would've felt my bony hands. "Careful Princess I got ya" I said.
"S-Sans" She said as she tried to look at me but I covered her eyes with my gloved hand.
"Don't look princess I'm uhh...N-not Decent" I lied. I glared at the flower with a firey blue eye. "I'll deal with you later Weed" I said menacingly as I teleported the princess back to her room. I laid her in her bed and tucked her in.
"S-Sans What were you doing out in the garden" She asked.
"Rumors were spreading like wildfire at the training grounds about a plant that could grand wishes that was in our palace garden so I offered to check it out to see if it was true" I said as I stuck a thermometer under her tongue. I could never lie to the princess unless if I absolutely had to.
"And why are you hiding your face" She asked.
"Don't talk unless you want to have a false reading on your temperature" I said as I looked away from her hiding my skeletal face. I tried to stay in the darkness of her room as much as I could. After I had checked her temperature I gave her some medicine for her cough.
"So...You're not gonna ask me why I was in the gardens at this time of night" She asked. I'm positive that she was wanting to get rid of our bond but I don't understand why though.
"Pretty sure I already know...But it's not my place to pry so I won't ask about it" I said.
"What are the rumors going around...About Flowey" She asked.
I look out her window with my back towards her. I sighed. "Long rumor turned short he claims he can grant wishes but if you get too close to him then you'll get sick and won't know it till it's too late...You shouldn't trust random monsters you don't know princess It's my job to protect you in your brother's stead" I explained not looking at her.
"Flowey isn't that bad of a monster Sans He-" She started to say before I interrupted her. I know what kind of monster that weed is and I wasn't gonna allow him to hurt her.
"That's what monsters like him WANT you to think princess...They try to befriend you and claim they can grant your every wish but what they're really after...is your soul" I explained. I explain to her that there are some monsters that truly want to be her friend and the others that are like flowey. I'm not sure why but I've always had a knack for telling which monster wants to befriend the princess and which ones wants to take her soul for themselves. I guess it's because I turn into a monster at night myself. That and also I learned it from Lady Dogarissa and Sir Dogamy who are dog monsters.
"Why would they want to take my soul" She asked.
"Hell if I know Probably to become stronger I dunno I just heard from Sir Dogamy and lady Dogarissa that monsters like him want to steal human souls for themselves" I said.
"Why would they know about Monsters" She asked.
"Because they both Along with MT and his best friend are monsters Training to be in the Royal Knights for the Ruins...It's because of Sir Dogamy and lady Dogarissa that I now know how to fully control my magic...Thanks to their night training I can better control this odd power I have...and therefore help better protect you in your brother's absence" I explained.
"Your magic you mean that Teleportation power and why your eye always glow that blue color...but it's impossible for humans to have magic" She said.
"It's very rare but not impossible princess...The only means for a human to have monster like magic...is if they're half monster themselves" I said.
"But if you're half monster then how come you look full human" She asks.
"Usually it's only the magic that gets past down from monster parent to the half bread child...But sometimes if the child is unlucky enough then they will also take form of their monster parent" I said sadly as I looked down at my gloved hands.
"Is that why you won't show your face to me...because you turn into a monster like your monster parent" She asked. I jumped a little when she asked that.
"N-no I-it's not that...It's just that...L-Look it's nothing I should get going and let you sleep I'll come back and check on you later" I said as I used a little of my power to gently take hold of her soul and gently push her to lay down on her bed then used a little more of my power to pull the blankets over her to tuck her in.
"W-Wait Sans I'm not finished Talking with you" She says as she tried to get up.
I slightly turn my head towards her still hiding my face with my hood. "But listen to my words and remember them well princess for I shall only say them once Understand...You are not nor will you ever be a burden to me...It's not our fault how life chose us to meet nor is it our fault that we created such a powerful bond between us...Hate me if you must but to me you are my Best friend as well as like the little sister I never had and I cherish all those memories we share together...The good and the bad...So please don't...Don't just through your soul away for a wish that would cause great pain on others Just because you think you're nothing but a burden on them...Because they love and care about you and they always will no matter what happens...So think about this Carefully...If you still want your wish granted I won't stop you" I explained as I felt my eye sockets well up with tears as I spoke and my bones shaking. I released my power on her and teleported back into my room before she had a chance to speak again.
