Adrien loved Disney musicals, there was no doubt about that. It was one of the best things that he had when he had been unable to leave Agreste Mansion because of his father. It was his safe haven.
So, when Paris turns into one giant Disney musical, he is actually okay with that. Plus, he also gets to yell at Lila while also getting an amazing boyfriend.
I do not own Miraculous or any of the songs used in the fic.
(Contains Lila, Alya, and Class Salt.)
Now, most people knew how much Adrien loved Disney movies. Since he spent a lot of time locked up in his own house by his very protective ***Couch*** Insane ***Cough*** father, he watched a lot of movies, cartoons, and anime. But even after he was allowed to go to school, he still loved a good Disney movie.
He knew that it was not reality, but he always loved the idea of true love, love at first sight, and all the other romantic things he sees in those movies. Yes, he was aware that those things are not true in real life since real love takes hard work to maintain. But that does not mean he can not enjoy the fantasy of it.
The only time he thought that love-at-first-sight could exist was when he first looked into his friend Lyon's eyes. The effect of the icy blue eyes hit him like a ton of bricks. He almost had a panic attack while he was talking with his friends Nathaniel and Marc, who were a couple, and basically his guidance into the life of being a gay guy.
Of course, all of the gay and bisexual people he knew kept telling him to ask out Lyon, but he did not even know if Lyon would say "yes." So, he just stuck to his "he's just a friend" persona. Even if that usually made Nathaniel, Marc, Juleka, Rose, and Kim all facepalm. Nathaniel and Marc were a couple, as were Juleka and Rose, but Kim was bisexual and was in a relationship with Lyon's twin sister Vallia.
Of course, Vallia knew nothing of what was going on because there is no telling if she might accidentally say something to her brother when she does not mean to.
But even as Adrien does try and keep his crush a secret, he does spend as much time with Lyon as he can without seeming obvious. Just like today. Since Lyon and Vallia lived in a mansion close to Agreste Mansion, they would sometimes walk to school together. Vallia had gone earlier since Kim was also there early because of early swim practice. So today it would just be Adrien and Lyon, something that the blond was trying very hard not to squeal in excitement about.
He exited Agreste Mansion and found Lyon already on the other side of the gates to the mansion. He smiled as he walked up to the dubbed Ice Prince.
"Geia, Adrien," Lyon said 'hi' to him in his native tongue.
"Morning, Lyon," Adrien grinned at him.
"You seem happy today," Lyon noticed.
"Well, I can be happy if I want to be," Adrien could lie very well sometimes.
"You are called Sunshine by Vallia and Kim for a reason," Lyon chuckled.
"I am sure that all of Paris calls me the Sunshine Child," Adrien said. "But I am sure that has more to do with my hair than anything else."
"Makes me happy that I was dubbed the Ice Prince before we started hanging out more," Lyon says. "With my dark black hair, we could have easily been nicknamed Day and Night."
"I would not hate that, actually," Adrien chuckled.
"Oh, I just remembered," Lyon started to dig into his bad as they walked. "I got you something. I saw it in the store and knew you had to have it."
After a minute of digging in his bag, Lyon pulled out what looked like a DVD set. Like one of those bundles that have every movie of a franchise or every season of a good show. When he handed them to his friend, Adrien saw that it was all three Descendants movies. One of his favorite movie series of all time. He loved fairy tales and musicals and these movies were the best of both worlds.
"Where did you even find these," Adrien asked him.
"I have my ways," Lyon smirked. "DVDs are so much harder to find nowadays. It's all online recently. But I know you prefer these."
Adrien could not help but instantly hug his friend.
"Thank you," he was almost shouting. "Thank you so much."
Lyon hugged him back, but there was still the part of him that knew a lot of this behavior came from Adrien having such a negligent father. Even when it was his birthday, Adrien's father only would give him a pen or something else small. That is if he even remembered Adrien's birthday at all. So, a 'just because' gift was probably something Adrien had never gotten.
"Anytime, Adrien," Lyon says. "Now, you better let me go or we might be late to school."
"Marinette is late all the time, so we might run into her on the way there if we are late," Adrien laughed at his own joke.
Lyon had to chuckle as well. Marinette was a sweet girl who was very responsible with her class representative duties and when she would do things for her friends. But, at the same time, she was usually also late a lot given her tendencies to sleep late. Plus, there was also how when she was stressed, she was a little more scattered than she should be.
They were probably lucky that Marinette was getting better with her stress, schedules, and sleep issues because of how she was now dating Kagami. The Japanese girl was one of the most well-organized people that any of them knew. So, she was having a very positive influence on Marinette by helping her calm down and have better organizational skills. The sleeping-in was really only a problem when the girlfriends would stay up late into the night texting with each other.
As they were walking to school, some type of wave washed over them. The wave of energy was not seen, but it certainly was felt by everyone in the city. A lot of people looked around them or out the window just to see if there was an akuma nearby. But none of them saw anything.
"You felt that too, right," Lyon asked his friend.
"Yeah, what could it be," Adrien wondered.
"Did Hawkmoth make another akuma and nobody know it," Lyon thought out loud.
"I honestly have no idea," Adrien says. "Usually akumas are really loud and shouting their names from the rooftops. Vanisher was probably the only one that was quiet, but her torment of Chloe was anything but subtle."
"No kidding," Lyon said. "Karma, thy name is Vanisher."
As the two kept walking to school. But they both snuck looks at their kwami to see if they could tell if there really was an akuma around. Frostbite, Lyon's little wolf kwami, shook his head inside of his over-the-shoulder school bag. Plagg, Adrien's adorable black cat kwami, shrugged inside of the inside pocket of his shirt. Neither kwami had any idea if there was an active akuma running around.
The two of them were soon at the school, making it about five minutes before the bell was due to ring and class to start. They both figured that Vallia and Kim were already in the classroom since they had been up earlier than the other two.
As they both headed toward their class, they heard something strange as they passed the gym. It almost sounded like... music.
"Okay, I know I am not hearing things this time," Adrien said.
"Who plays music so loudly in the gym this early," Lyon wondered.
The two of them could not help but open the door to the gym and were met with the shock of their lives. It seemed like the basketball team had practice early as Kim's swim team did. But the shock was that they were singing and dancing.
"I gotta
Get my, get my head in the game
You gotta
Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
I gotta
Get my, get my head in the game
You gotta
Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
Come on
Get my, get my head in the game
You gotta
Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
I gotta
Get my, get my head in the game
You gotta
Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game"
The two boys almost immediately backed their heads out of the gym and shut the door.
"Well, that's not something that you see every day," Lyon says. "And that says something considering the weird akumas that Hawkmoth has created in the past."
"No kidding," Adrien agreed.
The two of them really had no idea what had just happened. They continued their way to class since there was really nothing they could do about it. Until an akuma made itself known, there was nothing that the secret Cat Noir or White Wolf could do.
Getting into the classroom, they were right in their assumptions that Vallia and Kim would already be in the room. The only other ones currently in the room were Nathaniel, who was drawing, and Alix, who looked to be playing a game on her phone. The two boys walked up the stairs to greet the couple.
"Did you have a good practice, Kim," Adrien asked as they sat down.
"I broke my record for fastest laps in the pool, so you can say that it was good," Kim flexed his muscles, making both boys laugh.
"Get all your flexing done before the bell rings, Kim, because I will not allow you to flex during class and distract me," Vallia tells her boyfriend.
"Whatever you say, my blossom," Kim winked at her, making Vallia blush.
"Did you guys happen to feel anything strange today, by the way," Lyon asked the two.
"Like what," Vallia asked her twin.
"Like some type of energy wave moving across the city," Adrien said. "We thought we felt something like that earlier but didn't see anything."
"I don't think I did," Vallia scratched her head. "But Kim was in his swim trunks, so you can say that I was distracted."
"I thought I saw the pool ripple a little after everyone had left it, but I figured someone had just dropped something in by accident," Kim said.
"How about anything weird while you were on your way to school," Adrien asked them.
"Well, now that you say it, I thought I saw one couple ballroom dancing in a flower shop on our way here," Vallia says. "I just thought that it was some romantic thing that they were doing."
"I have two left feet, so don't expect me to take you dancing anytime soon," Kim tells her.
"Well, it might be something more," Lyon says. "Adrien and I saw the basketball team singing and dancing during their practice when we got here."
"Wait... seriously," Vallia raised an eyebrow.
"We know it sounds weird, but we were just as shocked as you are right now," Adrien said. "It was a full-on High School Musical moment. Literally, since they were doing a song from the first movie."
"Okay, that sounds stranger than how strange Juleka looked when she was akumatized," Kim says. "No offense to her, of course, since we can't control how we look when Hawk-ass akumatizes us."
"Juleka would understand," Lyon says. "She complains about how she looked as well. She, and I quote, said that she looked like a clown that was possessed by bubblegum."
The three others all laughed since they definitely sounded like something Juleka would say since she definitely preferred her "comfortable vampire" look. So, the fact that she got turned into such a pink villain drives her crazy. Luka likes to tease her about it when he was brave enough to tease his sister since she could be terrifying when she wanted to be.
"Why would they be singing, anyway," Vallia was confused.
"That's why we asked about the energy wave thing," Adrien said. "We thought that there could be an akuma out there, but we're not sure."
"Aren't akumas usually the least subtle things on the planet," Kim raised an eyebrow. "Not even Sabrina had been subtle when she was Vanisher since she tormented Chloe in front of everyone without a care in the world."
Kim was a lot smarter than people gave him credit for. Yes, he was a jock and he could be a little dense sometimes, but he was far from stupid. His best friend was Max, after all. So, there was a lot more between his ears than the hot air that those like Chloe would say is in his head.
"A singing and dancing basketball team is still really weird, even for a Hawkmoth terrorized Paris," Vallia admitted.
"Could an akuma actually be around without anyone knowing," Adrien wondered out loud. "Like, this could be a first that one is not standing on the roof of something and shouting their name for the world to hear."
"If only there was a way to track the actual akuma instead of tracking them after the villain publically appears," Lyon said.
It was a part of the blog, BugOut, that Aurore and Mirelle had started ever since Alya's blog became more about Lila's lies than Ladybug and Cat Noir. The two of them did really well and were able to have some of the best content even without putting their lives in danger as Alya does. They put out Akuma Alerts in order to warn people that an akuma was on the loose as well as posted pictures of the akuma as well as the area where it was seen and what its powers seemed to be. They also posted videos of how to reduce stress and how to calm yourself down in order to help lessen the chances of an akuma happening. They also had a list of all previous akumas just in case anything like Heroes Day happened again and there were repeats of the same akuma running around.
They were a lot better at running a blog than Alya was. The Ladyblog really did not get as many views as it used to. Alya blames BugOut when the real reason was that she kept posting about Lila, ignoring all the comments about Lila being a liar. She even once actually tried to demand that the two of them shut down their blog because it was "stealing her viewers." The two of them only rolled their eyes at her and just walked away. They were smart.
The four of them were about to start taking out their books when they all suddenly looked up, away from their bags.
"Do you guys hear the music as well or have I finally gone crazy like Alix said I would," Kim asked the other three.
"No, we definitely hear it as well," Vallia responded.
The four of them got out of their seats and went over to the windows that looked into the school courtyard. Much to their surprise, they saw the rest of their class as well as 's class having what appeared to be a singing and dancing battle. They all shared a look as their day just got even weirder.
"Show me, show me, show me, show me, show what you got
Come on, come on, come on, come on, ready or not
La-la-la-la-la, let me see how you rock
It's on, it's on, it's on
Get crazy, crazy, crazy, take it over the top
Cause we, 'cause we, 'cause when we rock, we let it rock
Rock it, rock it, rock it, dance till we drop
It's on, it's on, it's on."
"Are they really singing Camp Rock," Vallia raised an eyebrow.
"I guess Disney is just loved across the world," Adrien shrugged. "I always did think that the Camp Rock music was underrated."
"This is still very weird," Lyon says. "Also, does Marinette look to be on the side of Mendeleiev's class than ours?"
They all looked back at the dance battle and saw that not only Marinette was not with their class, but neither was Juleka or Nathaniel. They were all with Mendeleiev's class with Aurore, Mirelle, Marc, Kagami, Ondine, and the rest of the science teacher's homeroom class.
"I don't think this song is about classroom rivalries," Vallia said.
As they saw the song end, the four of them decided to go over and see what had happened. Especially since it was starting to really become something more than a one-time thing given the dancing couple that Vallia had seen and the singing basketball players that Adrien and Lyon saw. And when they got to the group, they figured it was better to ask Marinette, Juleka, and Nathaniel what had happened. Marc and Kagami were also with them. Even if the five were also looking very confused.
"Did we really just do that," Marinette was confused.
"I did not even know that I could sing," Nathaniel said, his hand against his throat.
"And I never thought that I could dance," Juleka admitted.
"Well, you guys gave a good performance, at least," Adrien chuckled.
"Why did that even happen," Vallia asked the three. "This is real life and in real life, there is no such thing as spontaneous musical numbers."
"Well, I was talking with Aurore and Mirelle about their blog and how cool their Akuma Alert thing was since there was no actual system in place to tell people that an akuma was on the loose," Marinette started. "Nathaniel and Juleka were also agreeing with me."
"But that was when Alya heard us and came over to yell at Aurore and Mirelle over how they were 'stealing views from the Ladyblog' again," Nathaniel added.
"She still believes that," Vallia raised an eyebrow. "Her views are declining because she keeps posting all of Lie-la's fake stories."
"Try telling her that," Juleka said, having always been more out-spoken with those she is more comfortable with. "She seems to attack anyone that so much as dares roll their eyes at one of her stories."
"I still can't believe that most of our class is so obvious to how they are the only ones that actually believe her," Marinette says. "Not even Adrien is that oblivious. And that says something."
"Hey," Adrien protested, making Marinette giggle.
"We all started arguing," Marc continued the explanation. "Them in favor of Lila and the rest of us against her. That was when the music started and soon everyone was singing and dancing."
"So, you all started singing a rivalry song after getting into an argument," Lyon started thinking.
"Oh, I see your wheels turning," Adrien grinned. "I love it when your wheels turn."
"Well, all the songs that have been seen have happened in the typical situations of the actual songs themselves," Lyon says. "Get'cha Head In The Game' sung by basketball players, 'It's On' sung by two rivals, a couple doing a romantic dance in a flower shop. Paris has been turned into one giant Disney musical."
"Yay!" Adrien actually cheered.
That certainly got him some strange looks sent his way. Everyone but Lyon looked at Adrien in a really weird way. No one ever celebrated anything having to do anything with akumas.
"Really, Adrien," Vallia raised an eyebrow.
"What? I like musicals," Adrien shrugged. "Especially Disney."
"Only you would celebrate an akuma if it causes something like this to happen," Lyon chuckled at Adrien's antics.
"I wonder how Ladybug, Cat Noir, White Wolf, and Beautifly will be able to fight this one," Juleka says. "Frightingale might have also been musical, but she was also not hidden like this akuma is."
"Maybe the heroes need to start searching," Marinette said. "If they are seen, maybe the akuma would reveal themself in order to fight them."
"Hopefully that happens before Lila tries to do a solo and we have to hear that harpy shrieking that she calls singing," Vallia snickered.
They all cringed as they remember when Lila tried to lie her way onto the school choir, which Vallia was a member of. The drama teacher, who was also the one that ran the choir and happened to be Mylene's father Fred, was not as gullible as Miss. Bustier. He did not believe her when she was lying about being trained in singing by Clara Nightingale. He told her to audition with actual singing or to just leave. She tried to sing and left the entire choir with a headache afterward. Vallia had almost run right up to Kim to beg him for the headache medicine she knows he always has since being underwater so often would sometimes give him headaches after he comes back up for air.
"At least this is not a very dangerous akuma," Adrien pointed out. "Things could definitely be a lot worse than the city just turning into a Disney musical."
"Got to admit, he has a point," Lyon said.
"Since it is just a musical, would school even be canceled," Nathaniel wondered out loud.
"Honestly, I have no idea," Marinette shrugged. "While it has made sense for the school to end early for akumas like Reflekta, Zombizou, and Stoneheart, this one is not really destructive enough to really mean closing early today."
"I, personally, want to see if anyone in 's class bursts out into the song 'Oh Biology' from the Freaky Friday remake," Adrien chuckled.
"I would pay to see that, to be honest," Marc chuckled.
"I just hope that neither Marinette nor I are expected to sing 'Reflection' from Mulan," Kagami crossed her arms.
"I know that I am Chinese, but I will slap anyone that stereotypes me like that," Marinette said. "And those same people need to realize that you are Japanese, which is not the same thing."
"Yeah," Kim agreed since he was also used to things like that happening since his family was from Vietnam.
That was when they heard someone approaching. They got ready to be annoyed since they thought it was either Lila coming to try and lie to them again or Alya coming to yell at them over another of Lila's lies. They were relieved to see that it was just Luka. And since he was carrying a dark purple lunch bag, he was obviously bringing Juleka's lunch that she forgot at home again. She tended to do that about once a week.
"Was there any reason why I just saw Aurore and Mirelle singing 'Call Me Beep Me' from Kim Possible," he asked them as he gave his sister her lunch.
"Akuma," they all answered at once.
"Uh... I might need some more details," Luka admitted.
"We all think that there is an akuma out there and whoever it is has turned Paris into a Disney musical," Marinette says.
"Something that Adrien actually seems to be happy about," Kagami said.
Luka raised an eyebrow as he looked at their blond friend. Adrien raised his hands up in surrender.
"Hey, I never said that I was happy there was an akuma out there," Adrien said. "I just like musicals. So sue me for liking the powers of this akuma."
"It is better than Frightingale," Luka comments. "At least now people don't turn into statues if they don't sing or dance this time."
"But at the same time, we are not exactly given a choice but to sing and dance," Marc pointed out. "Which was also exactly like in a musical. The singing and dancing just came out of nowhere."
"Reminds me of that musical episode of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer show," Nathaniel said.
"Nerd," Juleka teased the artist.
"And proud of it," Nathaniel chuckled.
"So, do we just have to deal with living in a musical until the akuma is defeated," Luka asked them.
"That seems to be the only logical choice," Kagami said.
"Adrien does have a point that things could definitely be worse," Marc says. "For all we know, the akuma is just some little kid that got mad when their parents grounded them from watching tv when they wanted to watch some Disney."
"He has definitely akumatized people for lesser things than that," Lyon shrugged. "Do I even need to remind you all of ?"
"Please don't," Adrien groaned. "If I seriously have to spend another one of his attacks sneezing all to hell, I am going to lose it."
They all had tried to go back to class, but it was soon announced that school would be closed for the day. Apparently, they all thought that there was some type of more dangerous akuma out there that could do more than just make people sing and dance.
Since Adrien's dad did not know about school being canceled, the group decided to just hang out until The Gorilla tracks Adrien down once it is found out that he does not have to be at school. He cared about his bodyguard a lot and he knew that The Gorilla also cared about him, but Gabriel was still his boss.
"It is still a very weird akuma," Kim says.
"I think that has been already established, Kim," Nathaniel said.
"I mean more than just the singing and dancing," Kim continued. "Where is the path of destruction? The shouting of what their name is? The rampage their usually go on?"
They all shared a look with each other. Kim was right. If it was being caused by an akuma, then where was it. Not even Vanisher had been subtle even as a villain that was literally invisible. Every single akuma that there has been had always been the same. They make their message clear and they always go after as many people as possible when they did not get what they wanted.
"Maybe since they turned Paris into a Disney musical, it has to play out like one," Adrien guessed.
The group all looked at the blond and they actually all thought about it.
"Huh, that actually does make sense," Marc says.
"But there have been many different types of events happening in a lot of their musicals," Marinette pointed out. "Movies with fighting, movies with turf wars, movies with classic love stories, movies with equality issues, lots of things. Which ending would be what is needed to end this?"
"There is the age-old classic," Kagami stated. "True love's kiss."
"If that means you and Marinette are going to start making out, give the rest of us time to leave," Aurore smirked.
"You are lucky that I do not have my sword on me, Weather Girl," Kagami playfully glared at the blond.
"You love me and you know it," Aurore giggled.
"Sorry, but you're taken," Juleka wrapped her arms around her girlfriend's waist.
The two of them had gotten together after more of Lila's lies caused Rose to break up with Juleka. Juleka kept trying to get Rose to ask Prince Ali if he knew Lila, but Rose would always get offended at Juleka thinking that Lila was lying about that. So, after some more lies were whispered into her ear by Lila, Rose broke up with Juleka. But Aurore was there to help the goth girl pick up the pieces of her broken heart and the two made a connection with each other.
"I don't think that it would work that way, any way," Adrien says. "There have been established couples in the movies in the past, so it would have to be a couple that gets together during the 'movie' to end this."
That made a lot of their group look at Adrien and Lyon. They were certainly the ones that a lot of them had been rooting for to get together. And they were the only ones that really could even get together during all this. Marc and Nathaniel, Juleka and Aurore, Kagami and Marinette, Kim and Vallia were all already together. And since Luka was not currently interested in anyone, that only left Adrien and Lyon. But since those two were still dancing around each other, they all knew this might take a while.
"If true love's kiss might actually be what stops this, we are definitely keeping this theory to ourselves," Lyon stated.
"Why," Aurore asked him.
"Do you really think that Lie-la wouldn't try and use that to her advantage," Lyon raised an eyebrow. "She already tries hanging off of Adrien's arm as much as she can as it is. If she knew about our theory, there is no doubt that she would try and use that as an excuse to force a kiss on Adrien."
"I'm getting sick already just thinking about it," Adrien looked a little green in the face.
"Aw! poor baby," Lyon snickered as he patted Adrien on the head.
"Do those two seriously not notice that they're flirting with each other," Vallia whispered to Kim.
"I know that I can be oblivious, but not even I am that thick," Kim stated.
Vallia gave him a weird look. "Ondine."
"Hey," Kim went red from her reminding him of his friend that also had a crush on him and he had no idea.
But then the group was unfortunate enough to hear probably the worst singing that any of them had ever heard in their life. It was worse than a cat scratching at a blackboard while two velociraptors fought over a bagpipe. They all covered their ears at the horror that was filling their eardrums. Aurore and Kim actually both looked like they wanted to bury their heads in the sand ostrich style just to get it to stop.
"I wish whatever is causing this would only make those that can actually sing burst into song," Vallia complained.
"I'm going to need a pound of headache medicine to take care of this one," Nathaniel groaned as he held his hands over his ears.
"Only one person can be this bad at singing," Lyon stated.
The group looked over to another side of the park. And sure enough, there was Lila surrounded by her sheep as she was basically shrieking instead of singing. Looking around, random other people that were at the park or just nearby were all covering their ears as well. Kim even swore that he saw a little girl crying to her mom as she was like "Make the harpy stop, mommy! Make her stop!"
"I want fabulous,
That is my simple request,
All things fabulous,
Bigger and better and best,
I need something inspiring to help me get along,
I need a little fabulous is that so wrong?"
None of them were really surprised by what they were hearing. Lila was as selfish and narcissistic as a person can be. So, there was literally no other song on Disney that would match her personality other than a Lila Rossi version of the "Yay Me" song from London Tipton's web show from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
When it finally ended, there was a collected sigh of relief from literally everyone that was around or inside of the park. Especially from the group of Dupont students that actually had brain cells.
"Kim, you are the one with the headache..." Nathaniel started.
"Already on it," Kim says.
He took out the headache medicine that he always had in his backpack. He passed it out to all of them and they gladly took it. They definitely needed it after that shrieking session that was supposed to be someone singing a song.
"Whatever made that girl think that she could actually sing really needs to be fixed before it gives someone else delusions like that," Marc shook his head as if he had swimmer's ear.
"If you all would excuse me, I am going to go bang my head against the nearest wall to get that shrieking out of my head," Adrien says.
"I could do that for the rest of the day and still never be able to un-hear that," Marinette groaned.
"Let's get the Hades out of here before they notice us and come over to annoy us," Vallia says.
But, of course, luck was not on their side. Which was ironic given Marinette's secret hero persona. The sheep and their shepherd noticed them and decided to come over to get on their last nerves.
And in true Lila fashion, she immediately tried to latch onto Adrien's arm.
"Lila! How many times do I have to tell you to stop doing that," Adrien almost had to use a crowbar to get her off of him. "I do not like being grabbed like that!"
Lyon and Kim had to basically then stand on either side of Adrien to make sure he did not have an arm that she could try and latch onto again. And given that Lyon had previously threatened to shoot people with arrows in the past, as well as Kim being naturally intimidating, there was definitely no chance she would get her dirty hands on Adrien again.
As per usual, Lila turned on the waterworks. She always does it whenever anyone dares to say the word "no" to her.
"Now look at what you did," Alya was immediately yelling at them. "Lila is upset because of you."
"If she is upset, it's her own fault," Lyon was in full Ice Prince mode. "Adrien has told her he does not want her grabbing him like that. He has the right to say 'no' just as much as she would if things were in the opposite way around. Not all guys want girls around them all the time."
"Especially a very specific kind of guy," Nathaniel smirked a little as he took Marc's hand.
"I definitely agree," Marc shared his boyfriend's smirk.
"Adrien is just being stubborn," Rose said. "He and Lila are meant to be. He needs to stop being so rude to her."
"If anyone is rude, it is the girl that does not know how to take 'no' for an answer," Kagami crossed her arms.
"You're just jealous that you can't have him," Alya glared at the fencer.
"Yeah, my girlfriend is totally jealous of someone that she is not interested in at all," Marinette rolled her eyes.
"You two are only pretending to date," Alya yelled at them. "As if either of you would give up on Adrien! You're both nothing but a couple of nobodies compared to someone as wonderful and amazing as Lila."
"Do the words that I say just fly over your head," Adrien was actually glaring at the wannabe reporter. "I have said many times that I have no interest in Lila! Get that through your thick head!"
"You're only being stubborn," Mylene insisted. "You just have to see that you and Lila would be perfect together."
"Do the words that he says just fly over your heads," Lyon raised an eyebrow. "He said he is not interested, so he does not have to be. That is the problem with people like you. You think that just because a girl likes a guy, that guy automatically has to like her back. Adrien is allowed to make his own choices. And if he does not like her, then he does not have to be with her."
Adrien gave Lyon a very grateful smile. He never had anyone stand up for him when it came to any girl that would invade his personal space. Everyone always assumed that just because he was a model, that automatically meant that he was okay with any girl hanging off of his arm, or putting her hands all over him. And given his own neglectful father, he was basically raised to never know how to say 'no' until his friends taught him that he was allowed to say it.
And boy did it feel so good to tell Lila and Chloe 'no.' Whenever they would try and latch onto his arms. He had to do it a lot.
"How... How can you be so mean to me," Lila continued with her crocodile tears. "What... What did I ever do to you?"
"She is not a very good actress, is she," Vallia smirked as he looked at her own boyfriend.
Kim had a hard time not bursting into laughter from how his girlfriend was able to say that with mostly a straight face. He loved it whenever she would get this sassy.
"Telling the truth is not them being mean," Adrien really hated the lying sausage. "Everything they are saying is the truth. Not that you know what the truth is considering how much you lie."
"Lila doesn't lie," Alya screamed. "Just because Marinette and that frozen-heart Ice Prince brainwashed you into believing that..."
She never got a chance to finish her rant.
"Lyon does not have a frozen heart," Adrien looked angrier than any of them have ever seen before. "You have no idea who he is! All you do is run around endangering your life for a stupid tabloid blog while believing every fairy tale that Liar Rossi comes up with! You know nothing about Lyon since you never care about anything unless it involves you getting views for your blog or attention on yourself."
"Hey," Alya tried to protest, but Adrien did not stop.
"Lyon is the kindest, most honorable, most gentle person that I have ever met in my life," Adrien really let loose. "He helps his family train the animals they get at their sanctuary, he had used his skills at archery to scare away poachers and animal traffickers that have tried stealing their animals, he has helped me learn how to stand up for myself. He has done more for me than anyone else in the world! You do not get to say anything bad about him just because you know nothing about the real him!"
"Adrien," Lyon was touched by what his friend was saying about him.
"Lyon actually knows what it is like," Adrien was still going. "He knows how hard it is to be famous and have so many expectations expected out of you. He knows how much pressure can hurt. He has helped me deal with the pressure and how that it does not have to affect who I actually am on the inside. He sees past the perfect model. He is a much better person than any of you sheep could ever be."
You know that someone had to be bad news if the "Sunshine of Paris" called them a bad person.
Before Adrien could actually explode, their group all walked away with him. Lyon pulling out his bow and arrows from his school bag was enough to keep the liar and her sheep from following them. He was not afraid to shoot them. Especially since it was well known that he had shot an akuma before when Vallia was nearly hurt by it.
Adrien had joined Lyon at his and Vallia's Paris home. It was a mansion not that far from Agreste Mansion, so Adrien would be able to go home anytime he wanted to. He and Lyon were in the rooftop greenhouse on top of Garden Mansion.
"When you let loose, you really let loose," Lyon chuckled.
Adrien's face went red as he was complimented about that.
"I have no idea where all of that came from," Adrien chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"It came from how you have kept all of your frustrations inside when you really just wanted to let it all out," Lyon tells him. "I am honored that me being insulted was your final straw."
Adrien got even redder. He figured that it was now or never.
"You're very important to me, Lyon," he tells him. "I had to defend you. And there is... There's something I have wanted to tell you for a while now."
He took Lyon's hand. And that was when the music started. And by the sound of it, it was a very romantic song. Adrien gulped since now he would really have to reveal how he felt since the song was gonna have him do it no matter what.
"Hmmm yeah
Yeah yeah
Can you imagine what would happen if we could have any dream?
I'd wish this moment was ours to own it and that it would never leave
Then I would thank that star that made our wish come true
(Come true) (Oh yeah)
'Cause he knows that where you are is where I should be too"
Lyon could not help but smile as he would hear Adrien singing. Adrien had a beautiful voice that it was actually a wonder why he had not tried to be with Vallia in the school choir. But he guessed that Gabriel would never allow his son to be a part of something so "pedestrian."
"Right here, right now
Lookin' at you and my heart loves the view.
'Cause you mean everything
Right here, I promise you somehow
Tomorrow can wait for some other day to be (to be)
Both: Right now there's you and me"
Lyon joined in as he also began to sing. He got the very clear message in the song. Adrien was confessing his feelings to him. He had been starting to do it when the song came and actually ended up making it easier for him to do so.
"If this was forever, what could be better?
I already proved it was.
But if 2123 hours of bending the universe.
It's going to make everything in our whole world change
(It'll start to change)
And you know that where we are will never be the same"
Adrien was also impressed by Lyon's singing skills. He actually thought that Lyon sounded a lot like White Wolf when the wolf miraculous holder had used his own singing skills to fight against Clara Nightingale when she had been akumatized into Frightingale. But he figured that it was just a coincidence that Lyon sounded like him.
He mostly just focused that Lyon had an amazing voice.
"Right here, right now
(Right now)
Lookin' at you and my heart loves the view
'Cause you mean everything
(Everything)
Right here, I promise you somehow
(Somehow we're gonna)
Tomorrow can wait for some other day to be (to be)
But right now there's you and me"
As they both sang, they got up and started to dance together. It was one of the most romantic things that either of them have ever experienced in their lives. That was definitely the main beauty of musicals. Songs opened up their hearts and allowed them to express more than they could with words.
"Oh you know it's comin'
And it's coming fast"
"As long as there's you and me (Oh yeah)
So let's make every second last, make it last"
"Right here, right now
Yeah lookin' at you and my heart loves the view
You mean everything
Right here, I promise you somehow
Tomorrow can wait for some other day to be (to be)
But right now there's you and me
You and me
You and me
Oh you and me
But right now there's you and me"
By the time the song ended, the two of them were very close to each other. And since neither of them was going to let this moment be ruined, they moved even closer and were soon kissing.
Unknown to them, their kiss sent out another wave of energy. Kagami was right! True love's kiss actually did solve everything!
