Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome back to friendship, family, love, and the Fairy tail today; we have something a little different; what do I mean by different, you ask? Well, you're just going to have to read the chapter and find out on today's special one-shot that will hopefully have you rolling on the floor laughing; if not, then well, I tried
title: misunderstanding
Summary: the day has finally come that Wendy picked up Natsu's pranking nature, and no one was ready for the chaos that it would bring, especially not Gray
relationships: Natsu, Wendy, and Juvia(no, I will not elaborate)
For once, it wasn't Natsu's fault really; it wasn't if it were up to him, he would be lying in his house or Lucy's apartment up to his neck in food or taking a bath does not help Wendy and Juvia with this out of the box prank the two pulled up on the fly he needed to practice saying no to Wendy. It seemed that was their entire team, excluding Carla. All Wendy needed to do was put on her puppy dog eyes, and fairy tails strongest team would become pudding in her hands, and she damn well knew it, but what could they do? They honestly love her too much. But that' not here nor there. You wonder just how Natsu found himself in this mess. well, it all started when he went on an odd job with both Juvia and Wendy
"Why did we have to take the train" Natsu groaned out as Wendy sat sulking in her seat once again. Her Troia spelled failed her, and Natsu was in pain, not to mention she had been feeling a little sick lately, but she couldn't; be getting motion sickness yet, right.
"The trip would be three days. on Foot Natsu" came a reply, "and Juvia will not walk that far for a simple job."
"Okay, then why me," Natsu asked again, not that he had a problem with the water wizard. The few times they did talk, they seemed to get along well. It was just odd she wanted to go on a job with him.
"What Juvia can't go on a job with her guildmates," she asked, a serious look coming over her face.
"You know that not what I meant," Natsu countered
"Juvia just wanted to spend time with her other friends," she told him
"She needed a fire wizard and healing wizard for the job," Wendy said
"Wendy, how could you" Juvia shouted as Wendy stuck her tongue out
"Well, if that all, why didn't you just say that," Carla asked as Juvia turned to sulk in her seat "you act like we would have told you no" Carla told her trying to hide her laugh though she could tell she was still embarrassed
"Aye," Happy added
"Shut up" Juvia screamed as Wendy, Happy, and Carla laughed at her while Natsu let out moans in discomfort. once they arrived at the station, that was when the seed was planted, or they met the bringer of chaos as Natsu liked to put it the job itself went off without a hitch some cult or whatever had been making trouble for the townsfolk got injured and for some reason, they all specialized in fire, and water magic and a lot of people got hurt, so the three of them were perfect for this job, and afterward, they spent some time around town
"Look how pretty the flowers look, Natsu," Wendy said as she started smelling.
"don't go too far," Natsu said
"aren't you so cute," Juvia said as Natsu rolled his eyes as Wendy looked at the flowers "maybe Juvia should bring some for her precious Gray," she said as Wendy came up to them.
"I don't think Gray would like flowers very much," Wendy said behind them; a stranger passing took notice as Wendy started going through the flowers approaching the three wizards. They smiled.
"Hey, you're those fairy tail guys right," they asked as Natsu and Juvia nodded as they glanced back in forth between what Wendy was doing and greeting the friendly stranger "you know your daughter is adorable," she said
"Oh yeah," Natsu said, utterly unaware of what was just said to him
"Oh, thank you," Juvia said. She was still in gray land, so the words hadn't wholly registered in her head
"Did they just?" Happy asked
"Give them a second," Carla said
"Wait, what" both screamed their faces turning redder than Erza's hair as they glanced back in forth between each other "nowhere," they stopped.
"Juvia is loyal only to her precious Gray," Juvia screamed
"Wendy is not my daughter," Natsu screamed
"What," Wendy asked, now finally hearing the conversation
"I certainly wouldn't see him as a father figure," Happy muttered
"Not helping" Natsu shouted
"Oh, so she's not your daughter," the stranger asked before Natsu could answer, a mischievous grin coming over her face.
"No, we're only guildmates, more like siblings," Natsu told her
"Oh, I see," the stranger said, "that explained why you three look so much alike," she said
"Do they," Happy asked
"Well," Carla had to admit she and Natsu did have similar features, but where did Juvia "it's the blue hair," Carla told him.
"Ahh"
after bidding the friendly person farewell, Wendy waited until they were out of earshot then she put her plan into motion as she looked at Natsu and Juvia, giving them a warm smile asking the question the ever little girl would ask at least once "mom dad can I have some Ice cream" Wendy asked completely innocently as possible which was enough to have both wizards choke on their spit as Wendy hid her laugh
"Not funny, kid," Natsu grumbled
"She gets that from you ya know," Juvia said
"No, she does not," Natsu argued back
"I kinda do," Wendy said as innocently as possible "I do spend a lot of time with you."
"you're supposed to be on my side," Natsu shouted.
"I've just admitted the truth," Wendy said matter a faculty as the trio left. After that, none of them brought up the mini-incident, and that would be the end of it, right they go back to the guild meet up with their friends, and hopefully in a month or two right, that how these things typically work but he wasn't an average person some mythical force or whatever seemed to get enjoyment out of his suffering. While Natsu was being honest, most (all) of it was primarily self-inflicted. It still got tiring, especially when he had more important things to do, like eating, sleeping, or both. But no, someone got a sick pleasure out of seeing him suffer. In some way,
they were at the guild a month after it had happened, he Wendy and for some reason, Juvia, who was there waiting for Gray, all sat together
"So that's an odd group," Mira muttered.
"What do you mean," Lucy asked. "Natsu and Wendy always sit," she stopped when she saw the extra person there "yeah, that is a little weird," Lucy commented, "they also went on that job last month." Lucy smiled as she shook her head "they're probably just talking about something they discovered while on the job." Lucy said, "I might join them in a sec" Lucy laughed
"Yeah," Mira said before a peeved Erza kicked in the guild doors; everyone stopped wondering what set the scarlet-haired women of today as she narrowed her eyes as she found her target before marching over to one Natsu Dragneel.
"Natsu" she screamed.
"What did I do," Natsu asked in fear as Erza slammed something on the table. It was an issue sorcerer weekly.
"Explain yourself," she shouted as she pointed to a particular page Natsu overlooked at as did Wendy Happy, Carla, and Juvia because they were curious, Lucy who had come to defuse the situation, and Mira who just wanted in on the gossip as per usual with her. of course, on reading the page Natsu eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as Juvia turned a deep shade of red some say you could see steam coming from her ears.
"What the" Happy and Carl asked
"When did Wendy become your daughter." Mira shouted, getting the rest of the guild in on the recent scandal, "and why are we just finding out about this"
"she's not our daughter," Natsu and Juvia shouted as Gray came, and before he could find out, Juvia was on him.
"Juvia is sorry, my love," she screamed to a confused Gray "she would never betray you like this," she said, tears in her eyes "this is your fault," Juvia screamed.
"My fault," Natsu shouted, "how was I supposed to know there was s sorcerer weekly guy around when the lady asked if Wendy was our kid" he called back.
"aren't you supposed to have super hearing or something" Juvia shouted? To say the entire guild was confused would be an understatement, and all the information they had was a lady who thought Wendy was Natsu and Juvia's kid.
"I mean, she can pass for Natsu's kid with the way he pampers her," Lucy muttered.
"And they do look alike when they get that serious expression on their face, " Mira added, "but where does Juvia come in."
"it's the blue hair," Happy told them
"ahh"
"you're not helping," Natsu and Juvia shouted at the feline "stop that" they both screamed at each other.
"Having a kid is manly," Elfman shouted.
On the other hand, Wendy did not react to everything that was going on the fact she was feeling a little mischievous again, time to cause some chaos as she looked at Natsu and Juvia. Before putting on her best sad face, "mom, dad stop fighting," she said, making the whole guild double over as Natsu and Juvia turned an even deeper shade of red.
"Juvia has no feeling for Natsu," Juvia screamed at her
"don't; scream at her," Natsu shouted
"You know Juvia gets angry when she's stressed," she shouted back
"that's still no excuse to scream at Wendy," Natsu shouted
"What part of she gets it from you, don't you understand" Juvia shouted, both utterly oblivious to the perplexed looks they were getting and the fact they were arguing about Wendy wasn't helping their case either
after everything had calmed down, everything eventually went back to normal. well, except for the fact Natsu, Wendy, Juvia seemed to hang out now and then but then again, nothing too strange that was until a sorcerer weekly issue reached the guild apologizing to the three for the misunderstanding it also seemed to go into great detail how great the guild was and how lucky Fiore was that Fairy tail existed
"I know you all went over to sorcerer weekly to straighten things out," Makarov asked, "but what did you do?" He didn't receive an answer. All he got was three dark smiles implying that he was better of not knowing.
"Are we sure they're not related" Gray asked
"At this point," Lucy said, "I wouldn't be surprised," she told the ice make wizard.
So, what did you think of this story and now some elaboration? After reading a story called Team Navia(yes, I know that is their ship name). The story itself is pretty good, and I recommend giving it a read. And then I thought, what if someone believed that Wendy was their daughter cause in the story, Natsu and Wendy, of course, have the sibling dynamic. I thought it would be interesting, but anyway, tell me what you think, and if you want to see more of this, hopefully, I can get to twenty chapters before the year is over, but we'll find out.
