Hey, fairy tail fans, welcome back to friendship, family love, and the fairy tail. so today, we have something that came to me after reading another story which is now my new headcanon for the series, and as a bonus, we get more dragon slayer interactions with Anna cause I had to worm her in there somehow, but that neither here nor there I have two stories for this topic planned that I should be posting that one tomorrow hopefully as it is a shorter story, but in any case, let's get started

title: Dragon senses

Summary: many would think that being a dragon slayer is the best thing ever; however, the three dragons of fairy tail would happen to disagree there are many downsides to being a dragon slayer, and in some cases, the cons significantly out way the pros

Teeth

Wendy had her hand over her mouth as she ran to the guild pushing it open as she looked around before her eyes landed on her target pushing past everyone, she saw Natsu, and fortunately, Gajeel was with him too, running up to the pair tugging on Natsu's shirt he turned "hey kiddo everything okay" she shook her head.

"Teeth," she managed out as Natsu and Gajeel looked in shock

"Oh shit," Natsu said, "was it the canine one" Wendy nodded as she got down

"Is everything okay with Wendy?" Mira asked as Natsu bent down

"All right, open up," Natsu said as Wendy opened her mouth. While there was a lot of blood, he could tell that it was starting to build up "nothing too serious," he sighed, let's get you something for that, shall we" he smiled as she nodded as he took her to the infirmary

"What was that about" Levy asked.

"Nothing," Gajeel said "you got it, Salamander," Gajeel asked. He nodded as Gajeel turned back to his meal "just we got these sharp ass teeth," he sighed. "So, you can imagine what happens when we accidentally bite our tongue."

"That sounds painful," Mira said

"Yeah," Gajeel said, "especially when her teeth grow fully in," he laughed, "but Salamander has it all under control."

"If you say so."

Hearing

"We haven't seen Natsu or Wendy for days," Lucy said. "I hope they're okay," Lucy muttered "we need to go on a job soon, or rent won't get paid for those wondering for the past several days, Natsu, Wendy, and even Gajeel had all been absent from the guild, nothing too worrying t first, but Happy and Carl would often come to the guild telling them that everything was okay they were just busy and couldn't be at the field right now though they never told them why

"I agree," Erza said. "I too am in need of money," she sighed, "but what could be keeping Natsu and Wendy" everyone had theories that they had gone off to train again or something had come up about dragons. They could be handling the situation on that they did have a habit of going off by themselves when the topic of dragons came up. One could only wonder what they were up that had them away from the guild for so long without little to no warning.

"Yeah, Gajeel hasn't been at his apartment," Levy said that was the part that had got her worried. "I saw Lily there, but he just said that Gajeel was busy, and he'd be back."

"Maybe we should check in on Natsu," Erza said, "that is the only other place we haven't checked."

"I agree," Lucy said "something could be wrong" as they all stood up to leave the guild making the long trek to Natsu's home in the woods.

"You know I've never been to Natsu's home," Levy said, "what's it like."

"a complete mess," Lucy said

"I have told him to clean it," Erza said, "but then he goes on about how everything how he likes it," she sighed, "he almost as bad as Wendy."

"Hey, there's both an organized mess," Gray said. "I can respect that," he said as they approached the small house "so get ready," he said, slamming his fist on the door "hey, flame brain," he screamed.

"Gray," Lucy shouted, "what if he's asleep" Lucy called as the door opened; they were greeted by a peeved Anna who let out a small sigh. "Anna," Lucy screamed as she put a finger to her lips. Lucy went quiet as she gently closed the door behind her.

"What are you doing here," Lucy asked.

"Keep it down," Anna said, "please inside voices."

"Why," Erza asked her big sister instincts taking over, "are Natsu and Wendy okay.

"they'll be fine if we can keep it down," Anna said "so please, when we go inside, "no shoes," she said "she opened the door as slowly as possible, looking inside, letting out a small sigh. "Natsu Wendy and Gajeel are just having a sensory overload," she explained.

"A what," Gray asked.

"nothing there really sensitive to noise right now," she said, "nothing too serious," she said she went inside smiling at them "it happens every now, and then their dragon and human sense don't mix well" she gave a small laugh "so I had to soundproof Natsu house here" she led them inside where the windows had been blocked most if all of the junk that Natsu had lying around was gone they could see the floor btu most if anything that could make a loud noise was gone the windows had been blocked out "fortunately the woods are the perfect place as it can be quiet out here the sounds of nature are great" she festered to the three-bed she had set up there they saw Natsu Gajeel and Wendy lying on the grounded ones on their ears as Ann bent down as Wendy shifted lying her head-on he laps "are you okay," she asked her voice was so low they could barely hear it. Still, Wendy seemed to nod to it all the same.

"Is there anything we can do to help," Erza asked to say she was concerned was an understatement. Still, the fact that this could have been a problem for years and they never told her had made her angry at herself for never even bothering to ask if this ever happened; everyone else agreed as well. This was a problem.

"Well," Anna looked to the side, "it might be nice to have extra hands around here," she said, "but we have to be really quiet," Anna said, "they're susceptible to noise from any source" she explained "think of it like a bomb going off in your ear," she said

"Sorry about that," Gray muttered.

"No, it's okay," Anna said, "but you could make it up to them by creating some ice" she gave a smile. "All this noise does cause Natsu to overheat."

"Yeah, sure," Gray said. They spent the rest of the day trying their best and helping Anna to make sure the dragon slayers could be as comfortable as possible.

Scent

The entirety of the fairy tail guild loved about the dragon slayers was their sense of smell. As Gray put it, "they have a nose for prey that put wild animals to shame" when it came to finding things or people, they were the ones to call.

"Hey, Natsu," Lucy called. She walked up to the dragon slayer. "I need your nose."

"Sorry, Luce," Natsu muttered, "can't."

"Why not," Lucy asked "you sick" there was genuine concern in her voice

"Naw," Natsu said

"Someone," Wendy growled out, "decided to use a brand-new perfume, and it completely blocked out our noses," Wendy sighed "not that it smells bad," Wendy said, "it just "so loud."

"Oh my," Lucy muttered, "I didn't know that was a thing," Lucy said, "like when you got to a new place, and your nose picks up on everything."

"Naw, that goes away with time," Natsu said, "this is like someone set off a stink bomb."

"that's the worse," Wendy growled as she slammed her head on the table "it's like the pouring it my noise."

"She always gets like this when her nose is messed with," Carla muttered

"Aye," Happy muttered, "Wendy's hardly ever angry."

"So right now, we're on lockdown."

"No smelling," Wendy shouted "smelling bad"

"Thanks, kiddo," Natsu laughed
