Hey, fairy tail fans, welcome back to friendship, family love, and the fairy tail. We have another chapter dedicated to our favorite dragon slayers. This one is a little different and on the shorter side but still a good read nonetheless; in any case, I do hope you enjoy the chapter.
Title: Overload
Summary: Erza makes a discovery about Natsu, and of course, being the big sister that she is, tries to make it as easy on him as possible
relationships: Natsu and Erza (brother and sister)
It was loud, like really loud Natsu tried he really did, but this was too much this was a bad idea he knew this was a bad idea, yet being the stubborn goof that he is decided to do it anyway sometimes, just sometimes he believed that Gramps was on to something that his thick-headed would be the thing that got him killed but that wasn't important what was important right now was keeping a calm mind "NATSU" that was it that was the straw that had broken the camel's back he felt like his head was about to explode. Hence, he did what any sane person would. He stood up and left. He needed to find somewhere quiet, and there was one place he could go, the forest the sounds of nature were always the perfect remedy for this, and it would this time.
"Uh oh," Mira called as they watched Natsu leave, "looks like someone pissed of Natsu."
"Oh, shut up," Erza said. "I will not be ignored," she screamed as she stormed off to give the dragon slayer a piece of her mind.
"That should be good," Mira laughed.
"I don't know," Elfman muttered. "Natsu looked uncomfortable."
"you're probably just seeing things," Mira said as Erza rushed off
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
Natsu had always loved the forest compared to the cramped space that was a town like magnolia. Sure, there were benefits such as running water, more accessible access to food, and plumbing that whatever god there is for that, but there was something just so peaceful about being in the woods allowing the sound of nature it was quiet out here there were no rules except for the ones that mother nature had made. Even then, you could find ways around it out here. You could do whatever you wanted whenever you wanted in reason; he reasoned that was why he loved fairy tail so much they were a bunch of free spirits. but as it seems even, he has his limits on noise, not to mention his magic is so unknown to them, they might not fully grasp the concept of how his magic works the amount of strain that it puts on his body that was okay though they were his family all the same
Erza smiled as she found Natsu, a smile forming on her face "there you are," Erza said. "Natsu, don't leave when people are" she stopped when she saw him flinch, pressing his hands to his ears "Natsu," Erza asked again. He looked away as if he was trying to keep sound out.
'Damn it,' Natsu thought. 'How did she find me' he should have got up and left. Still, it was just so much that he didn't feel like moving he honestly thought his eardrums had exploded, but he knew that he was being overdramatic. However, he was still uncomfortable. He still felt like someone took a pencil and was constantly jabbing it in his ear, and the constant shouting was not helping.
"don't ignore me," Erza screamed again, only for Natsu to flinch. She stopped again. "Natsu," she asked, her voice calm now. How could she not have seen it? It must be something got to do with his ear was he injured "please tell me what's wrong" she asked trying to whisper, 'or maybe it has something to do with his magic' she knew that he had good senses better than the average wizard could it overload a part of her hated that they knew so little about his magic that unknown leads to situations like this. she couldn't imagine that hearing everything all the time must be hard. Her yelling wasn't helping guilt go over her face. Still, it was replaced by the need to help Natsu as she scooted closer. "Natsu," she whispered so low that she could barely hear herself, but she knew Natsu. She knew he could listen to her "do want to lie down," Natsu said nothing nodded his head as she fined her position, placing him in her lap "are you okay" Natsu shook his head as she rubbed her hands through his hair. She felt his breathing calm down as he rested. It was odd the typically loud Natsu was quiet, and still, she smiled despite her previous actions. She was glad that she could see this as she took in the area around her. It was quiet. She could hear birds chirping in the distance, the sound of water, and the wind blowing through the trees; she could see why Natsu would come out here. The forest was a nice and quiet place.
Natsu had to say he really did appreciate Erza more than she might ever realize. Sure, she could be angry easily, but when you really needed something, and there was anything she could do about it, she would drop everything to help out her guild sometimes; he felt that out of everyone, though, this was the one thing he could rely on her help for.
"Thanks, Erza"
And that's a wrap
So please tell me what you think Natsu, and Erza are honestly the second-best sibling dynamic in this show. They're even better when Gray's involved because they become one brain cell, and I do plan on doing a fic on the three at some point in this story, but that's a topic for a later date: right now, we're going on a dragon slayer one-shot trip. as always, tell me what you think in there
