Okay, so I remember that something special I had planned for, yeah, turned into a new story called brother dragon, but that neither here nor there, so today we're getting something different, today we are getting team Natsu fluff this idea came to me very briefly, and you cannot convince me that this hasn't happened to them at least once but that neither here nor there and also plug time be sure to check out my other story brother dragon if you ever get a chance for those who want Natsu and Wendy brother-sister interactions that story will have plenty, in any case, let's get into the story

title: coming up with team names is more complex than you think

Summary: fairy tails strongest team has finally decided to come up with a team name, but coming up with a team name is harder than one might think. that and well they just can't seem to agree on one name

"how about the celestial five" Lucy said, snapping her fingers as four pieces of paper flew out and hit her on the head not too hard if you were wondering; it's just paper, and she's been hit way harder "oh come on."

"that name stinks," Gray said

"and were all not celestial wizards," Natsu said

"and why do you always forget about us" Happy shouted. "Carla and I are a part of team two," he reasoned, "so we should get a say in these two."

"yes, and I say we go with the exceeds," Carla said, giving a smug grin.

"No"

what are our fairy tail heroes doing, you ask? Well, they figured it was finally time to give their team a proper name, one that would have the same effect when no one heard the name thunder legion; while it was true everyone in the guild called them the strongest team for reasons beyond them, they still needed a name cause right now everyone just called them that fairy tails strongest team, while that was a fantastic title that they would wear proudly as their family gave it to them, having a team name, would not only make it easier on everyone it wouldn't be a mouthful but there was one problem unlike nearly every other team in the guild the strongest team each had there how to put this they weren't the most agreeable bunch of knuckleheads, so they had ended up in Lucy's room which is now covered in crumbled pieces of paper as the members of the currently unnamed team laid across Lucy's apparent with bags of chips and other assortment of foods lying all around them they had no idea that this was going to be so hard failed names include

"the ice shaves" that was Gray

"the celestial knights" that one was Erza's idea

"Team Natsu" guess who said that

"Team Wendy" that one was Carla

"the fish stealers" do I need to say anything? It should be obvious.

the fact of the matter was a lot of the good team names were taken and just didn't fit the narrative

"maybe we should have something that goes for our guild," Erza said "since we are fairy tail strongest team, apparently," Erza said

"Why do they call us that anyway," Wendy asked

"Mira," everyone said

"that makes sense," Wendy said, "Hey, didn't she have a team back in the day."

"Yeah," Lucy said, "her Elfman and Lisanna, I think they were called the takeover siblings."

"Yeah, that was it," Erza said, "if anything, we need something that says we're a part of fairy tail." Erza smiled "titania's court," Erza said with glee four pieces of paper then hit her as she bent down in shame as Lucy laid back in her bed

'we've been at this for hours," Lucy muttered to herself 'how did the other people in our guild come up with their names' Lucy thought about the other teams, and well, in some way they and sense "the thunder legion considered themselves Laxus' bodyguards, team shadow gear only Levy was that clever, and the takeover siblings was extremely obvious' she sighed "maybe we should be obvious" Lucy said, "what one thing we all have in common."

"not much," Natsu said. "I mean me, and Wendy are dragon slayers," he started "you, Happy, Carla, Erza, and Gray are not" Happy, and Carla are exceed. " he started "me Erza, and Gray grew up in the guild you and Wendy did not" Natsu stopped "sure we may have a thing or two in common, but when it comes to being a part of the guild we couldn't be more different" Natsu smiled "and you know I enjoy that about us" he looked up to see everyone looking at him "what."

"nothing," Erza said, "just didn't expect that from you."

"yeah," Gray said, "that was kinda moving, man."

"so, you wanna go with team Natsu now."

"no" everyone shouted

"worth a shot," Natsu muttered

"let's focus," Lucy said "now, let's put our heads together, and we can come up with something," Lucy shouted.

"right," Erza said, "we should obviously do something representing fairy tail."

"how about something that we all just agree with," Gray said. "I mean, it's our team right," Gray said, "so we need to all agree on it," he smiled, "and I have the perfect one" he smiled "the problem solvers."

"that sucks"

"Oh, come on," Gray shouted, "the fairy titin," Happy said,

"that doesn't roll for the tongue too good little guy," Lucy said,

"what's a titin," Natsu asked

"no idea," Erza said. "I think he meant titans."

"The titan legion," Natsu said

"fairy legion," Wendy said

"That sounds good," Erza said, "but it also feels like we're ripping off the thunder legion."

"yeah," Gray said, "fairy tails legion does sound cool, though," everyone in the room thought about for a food ten seconds before they all shook their heads while the idea was good too big a chance for them and the thunder legion to get confused on the off chance someone to shout og legion that was a no go for that one fact alone shame to cause that name sounded pretty cool. Hence, more crumpled paper flew through the air. Lucy sighed. They were going to have a fun time cleaning the room.

"how about the spriggin," Natsu said

"Naw," Erza said, "I think that means ugly fairy," she said

"right," Gray said, "no one in their right mind would go for that," he laughed (imagine their reactions when they meet the spriggin twelve) "so back to the drawing board."

"I think we're running out of paper," Wendy said

"damn it," Lucy screamed

"swear" Wendy muttered

"This is getting us nowhere," Lucy said "why is this so hard" she groaned as she rolled over. They had been here all day at this point and were no closer to finding out a good team name. she then looked at Wendy, "you know Wendy, you've been quiet. Do you have any ideas?"

"umm no," Wendy said, "I just like hanging out with you all."

"how about this," Carla said, "give ourselves five minutes, and we right five team names down, then we vote on the best one from those five."

"I can get with that," Gray said

"Alright," Natsu and Erza said

"yes," Lucy said, "let's try not to use too much paper, though"

"Aye," everyone then got to work for what they assumed was five minutes, each coming up with their own team names to give their team its much-needed name. the room went silent as the members of fairy tail's strongest team went to work on giving them a name

"Alright," Lucy said "let's hear em," Lucy said, "me first."

"the heavenly stars"

"the seven Shutsuen-sha"

"The titans of the stars"

"the heaven league"

"the heaven chasers"

"no to all of those," everyone said as Lucy bowed her head in her shame

"I guess I'll go next," Erza said

"the knights"

"the warriors"

"the fairy seven"

"Harborne seven"

"the armored fairies"

"those sounds Natsu started

"interesting," Lucy muttered

"Yeah, that's a good word," gray said, "this is pointless," Gray said. "Let's just shoot the remaining ones which we think are the best," Gray said

"Alright," Natsu said

"wait, I have another one," Lucy shouted

"now go" Gray shouted

"the heavenly fairies"

"the fairy knights"

"the sky maidens"

"the dragon fairies"

"the fish eaters"

"the psyvihs"

once everyone stopped shouting, they all looked at each other before laughing

"We are horrible at this," Lucy said as she calmed down

"what can I say," Erza said, "we each of different ideas."

"Yeah, that's true," Natsu said as he turned over "maybe instead of coming off a bunch of different ideas, we need to have one idea and break it down until it hits a point that we all agree on," Natsu said

"Is this an elaborate plan to have us agree on, team Natsu Erza said

"no," Natsu said, "take a joke, Erza. Come on." Natsu said as he looked around, taking out a small piece of paper

"But I think Natsu," Lucy said next to him, "so we want our team's name to represent fairy tail right," Lucy said. Everyone nodded "okay, so we have to have something related to that," Lucy said

"Alright," Erza said, "so we go with my idea, fairy knights."

"no"

"you guys are no fun," Erza said

"Aye, how about the fairy fish."

"the fairy exceeds," Carla said

"it's always the same point with you two," Gray muttered

"guys, focus" Lucy screamed

"I am," Gray said, "and I'm saying having us go by something that represents the guild is limiting," he explained.

"that might be a point." Lucy said, "but it's all we have right now," Lucy said, "unless you have a better idea."

"no, not really," Gray said, "just getting some ideas of my head."

"I know, Gray" Lucy smiled, so for the next few minutes, the team got together and started breaking down what they believed their team's name should be. It was a long process to the point that they all basically agreed they'd be staying at Lucy's for the night on the fact that it was so late how did they manage to lose track of time for so long was beyond them, but that didn't matter to them they were getting this out of the way by the time the night was over and nothing short of another disaster of the dark guild was going to stop them which was unlikely, so they had all the time in the world to get this done.

"any numbers"

"Wah tare we dark wizards," Gray muttered, "think about it the Oracion seis, the seven kin, nine demon gates."

"that's true," Lucy said. Every group of dark wizards they've met seemed to enjoy putting numbers in their names. What was it with bad guys and numbers? Yeah, there are seven of you. But guess what, they didn't care. All the numbers did was tell us how many of you we need to beat up. It also gives us a chance to prepare for each fight. No good guys have numbers in their name, right no one in their right mind would go with a team name with a number, right there was an eerie sense after their mental rant like somewhere in another universe one of them did, in fact, belong to a group with a name and number, but they ignored it.

"so, no numbers," Lucy muttered "alright," Lucy said, "we're almost there, guys," she smiled.

"Yeah, that looks pretty cool," Gray said

"I think it cute," Wendy said, "now we can really say we're the strongest team."

"yeah," Natsu said, "this is a great name." he smiled

"I still think we should have had fish in the name"

"no, Happy," Carla told him

"so now this is a good name or what" Lucy smiled, "but I still think a number would help," Lucy said

"no numbers," Gray and Erza said

"I agree with Lucy," Natsu said

"Aye," Happy said it would be so much better."

Gray looked at it for what felt like a few seconds before sighting whispering something under his breath, "fine."

"Alright," everyone screamed. "We did it," they all shouted. The strongest team finally had a name. What was it, you ask? I would tell you, but when they all passed out for sleep, they spilled a drink on it, and all forgot it in the morning because they couldn't read it.

"oh, come on."

If you had to give team Natsu a name, what would it be? The reason I did the end in that way is because I couldn't come up with one that sounded good anyway, but that's enough about that we have hit our goal of thirty chapters.
