Hi everyone! :) Welcome to Part 2 of my Prequel Trilogy, part of my Prelude Series and my Long Series. :)

For this fanfic, we will be focusing on Middle-earth and The Undying Lands, hence because Samwise Gamgee is in Middle-earth and Frodo is at Tol Eressëa respectively. Or, at least, Frodo is getting there. We will also be exploring my OFC Beatrice Blutman's storyline, who only made a brief appearance in my fanfic and Part 1 of the Prequel Trilogy, Imprisonment at Barad-dur. Characters, both canon and original, are going to age up in this fanfic. Who they are remains to be seen. :)

That said, enjoy! :)

Tears shed down Beatrice's face. She couldn't help it. "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" ended on a sad note. Frodo Baggins was leaving Middle-earth, possibly forever! Oh, she couldn't stand this!

Her heart sank. Sorrow filled her every nerve. It was a sad sorrow, one that felt like losing the one person that was meant to be with her. Sure, Beatrice had been twelve years old when she first saw "The Fellowship of the Ring", but she was fourteen when she saw "The Return of the King" and its end.

If Frodo knew she was fourteen, she couldn't tell. She probably looked as though she didn't age to him. At least, that's what she could sense from him. But no, she was fourteen years old by the time "The Return of the King" was out in theaters for that first time.

Surely, they couldn't be that much older from each other. Could they? Still, Beatrice hadn't expected to feel a love so strong for a fictional character before! This kind of love was unstoppable. When she was twelve years old, sure she felt intense love for him, but it was a kind of love that she had yet to understand. Now that she was fourteen, she was only beginning to understand what it meant to love someone, even if it was a fictional character.

And the way Frodo looked back at her from the screen, with a sorrowful, yet happy smile, the kind of smile that could only mean he was healed, seemed as if that look was for her. Letting her know that everything was all right. That was the smile she knew, the smile that let her smile. She couldn't forget that smile, but she was still sad.

She honestly thought he was leaving the world for heaven. Heaven seemed right. Was that where Frodo was going? Heaven? She thought he died and gone to heaven after his time in Mordor, when Gandalf and the Eagles picked him and Sam up from the rocks of Mount Doom.

Even then, Frodo didn't die. He was alive, but now he was leaving, dying all over again.

Beatrice couldn't take this! Just like that, her crush, her love for her favorite fictional character, was gone, on a ship sailing into the West. But to where? She didn't know. She just knew that after the elven ship disappeared into the light and Samwise Gamgee returned home to the Shire, greeting his wife Rosie Cotton and their children that the movie was over.

The words were scrawled on the screen in black: The End. And then the fade out to the credits ensued. The movie was over. The trilogy was over. And Beatrice was left with an empty, broken heart.

.

Beatrice stepped inside her mom's car, barely speaking. She couldn't believe the movie was over. Her memories of her time spent watching the movies over and over again was the only thing she had left.

Frodo was gone! But he was not forgotten. No, Beatrice had to find a way to keep the memories of him alive! She wanted to do something! If she dared touch fanfiction, she'd be risking everything. Oh boy! "The Lord of the Rings" was tricky. Should she face it? She seemed like she wanted to. Hmm… maybe she should.

Thanks for reading. :)
