The final event of the hotel was here: A new year's eve countdown party. Once the clock strikes midnight, the new year would begin.
Everyone was outside where there was a disco ball tower which was set to drop at Midnight. It wasn't the big one from Times Square but it was close enough.
Everyone was chatting amongst themselves as they were getting ready for the new year.
"What do you wish for in the new year Daddy?" Augie asked.
"I hope to spend it with you daughter of mine" Doggie Daddy said.
Kabong and Bobbie were holding hands staring at the disco ball. Squiddly was also there.
"About time you two got together" Squiddly said. "So are you gonna kiss at midnight or"
They turn to face her.
"Hey I was just asking," Squiddly said.
"10 seconds everyone!" Dee Dee said. Dexter pushes a button and the ball begins to slowly drop as everyone begins to count down.

"I'm gonna miss 2021" Peter Potamus said.

"I'm not," Phil said.

"Hey Boo Boo," Yogi said. "Wanna get a hot cocoa after this?"

"Now that you mention it" Boo Boo said. "A hot cocoa would be nice"

"Oh I'll remember 2021 like it was 10 seconds ago" Wally Gator said.

"Because it's about to be 10 seconds ago you idiot" the small blonde girl in the pink dress said.

Kabong and Bobbie turn to face each other.

So do Yogi and Cindy! And….. Harvey and Boo Boo?

Kabong bends down and leans forward.

SMOOCH.
The ball made it to the bottom and fireworks began to pop in the sky. Everyone cheered as the new year was finally here, 2022!
Auld Lang Syne began to play as everyone cheered and blew party blowers and threw confetti. Some even drank champagne.
Instead of kissing, Harvey and Boo Boo hugged each other. However when they pulled apart, Boo Boo had a grin on his face.
Kabong and Bobbie pull apart from their kiss, both have blushes on their faces. Squiddly is throwing confetti at them.
"OK we get it," Kabong said.
"Woo yeah, new year!" Peter Potamus said running around, champagne in hand, he slips on the snow and falls over.
"Ow my leg" Peter said. "My third leg-"
After that fiasco, everyone danced and cheered as fireworks and music blasted. Kabong and Bobbie danced with each other and Squiddly was dancing with the grim reaper, she found him attractive.
"Hey, has anyone seen Boo Boo?" Yogi said. "We were gonna get some hot cocoa together"
The following day, the two buses were back at the hotel as everyone began to pack their things onto the bus.
"Thank you so much for letting us stay at your resort," Huckleberry said. "It was a lot of fun and We all really had fun"
"No Problem Mr Mayor" Dee Dee said. "I hope you all have a wonderful new year and we hope to see you in the summer"
Dee Dee and the other hotel employees wave to the buses as they leave. The town folks also wave to them.
"It's time to look forward to the new year," Huckleberry said. "A new year means new adventure and more of the town being destroyed before being rebuilt again"
"Yeah but did the new HAVE to end on Betty White passing?" Boo Boo said.
"Your year ended with you sleeping with that lawyer," Cindy said.
"Yeah but this is BETTY FREAKING WHITE" Boo Boo said.
While the two of them argue, Yogi leans back in his seat and begins to drift off in his hat. He dreams about his friends on an ark, out to find a new home after their old home was corrupted by despair.
