CHAPTER 3.

Hunter and Taila were told exactly where to go, from the..uh..diaper man. As soon as they can find their bounty, the sooner they can go back to their dimension. Hunter just wants to go back home for the holidays, drink some alcoholic egg-nog, and get some sleep. Where's Taila, her focus is on their target, and judging by the map. It's close.

Hunter turn to Taila and sighed as they moved past some trees. "Can we hurry this up? I have things to do." He complained.

Taila rolled her eyes and counter argued.

"What things do you have to do exactly?" she asked.

"You know, places to go, people to see…that kind of stuff." Talia just looked at him in disbelief

"People to see? Who? You don't even have any friends." She said,

Hunter gave a mock hurt expression and muttered. "Now that hurts..you hurt me, baby sister."

Taila chuckled until hearing the holographic map beep, and saw they were at their destination. "Here it is..our bounty is in there." She pointed to their location.

And that location was a tall, old looking tower, near a waterfall. But what could an old tower be doing there? More so when it's so isolated from civilization.

Hunter looked up before letting out a long whistle. "Nice place… So I guess this is it. Well, that was easy."

Taila gave a suspicious look. "Yeah..too easy.." she said. Was their target hurt, and he had to be resting up, was he hiding? Well, only one way to find out.

Taila turn to her little brother, and said. "Looks like we're going to have to climb up there. You remembered to pack the hooks right?"

"I thought you did," Hunter said. Talia glared at Hunter before he began to chuckle.

"Kidding! I'm kidding!" Hunter said as he slipped out from his jacket two grapple guns, reverse engineered from their visit to a crime city that was protected by some giant bat. He handed Talia's to her and they both carefully aimed and fired them. Long spools of black wire shot forward as their metallic hooks punched on the roof underside, just above its open window.

Hunter then pulled onto the rope as he climb up and said to Taila. "Careful, don't wanna hurt yourself."

Taila smirked and asked. "I didn't know, my baby brother was worried for me.~"

Hunter stick his tongue at her. "I'm not..okay maybe a little." He admitted with a blush before reaching the top, and going inside from the open window. "Alley Oop!"

Taila shook her head in amusement before jumping in as well. When she did, she took the time to notice alot about the inside. "Enough room for a small, but tall tower. She also noticed some very impressive painting onto the wall. They look pretty old but, well..pretty nonetheless.

"Hey Hunter, take a look at this." Taila said, admiring the art. But she got no response. She instead saw her twin brother, staring at something in the dark.

Taila sighed and walked over. "Hey, Hunt. I know you don't like being here, but we got a job to do, to make ends…meet…" she said as she slowly saw what he was looking at..and it was not pretty.

It was their target. The Zorgon, or what was left of it. There was blood soaking the wooden floors, all while there were massive bullet holes in its side, and abdomen.
The body even twitches a bit, even when it's head is completely gone, and nothing in the headless Zorgon, except only the blood flowing out. It was a bloody and graphic scene, so much for even the hardened warrior like Hunter and Taila.

Hunter stood there frozen, with a horrified, yet disgusted look on his face, where's Taila had a pale and sicken look on her face. Trying to resist the urge to throw up.

However as she trying not to, Hunter began to notice something about their now, headless former target. It's head didn't seem to be shot off..but rather sawed off. If it wasn't obvious before, it was now. Someone beat them too it. And it seems they took out the Zorgon for other sick motives.

Hunter turned to Taila, who just upchucked out the window. "Sis, I think someone beat us to it."

Taila turned back to him, and wiped her mouth. "Y-Ya think?" She walked on over to the bed and sat on down..before feeling something lumpy onto it. She immediately got off, and pulled up the blanket before seeing what it was.

It was an Orb. Taila looked at it with wonder on her face, and interest. She reached out slowly to the orb, before picking it up in her hands. "What a pretty orb.." she said with her mind now completely on the orb.

She even went as far as tapping it. Which was kind of a big mistake. She recoiled a bit when she felt it shake a bit. She then dropped it onto the bed, and muttered. "Taila, you fool..!"

However, what she didn't expect was for the orb to float up in the air, and begin to crack open like an egg. Then all of a sudden, a hologram of sort begin to flicker, to Taila's shock, when a small blue lady, with glowing eyes and long hair appeared. She was, by holographic standards, quite beautiful, Talia had to admit, wearing what looked to be a dark blue dress material. The hologram lady was seated on the ground, yawned, and then stood up, stretching herself as if she took a long nap. She then noticed Talia staring at her and smiled.

The hologram then spoke, but said something that sounded like gibberish. Talia was confused, still staring at her, and the hologram's cheery attitude dropped to confusion, before she perked up and began speaking in several other gibberish language. Eventually she finally said something in English:

"Hello. Can you understand me now?" Talia was still in shock as she spoke.

"Uh, yeah! Yeah I can understand you," Talia finally said. The hologram let out a sigh of relief?

"Oh thank goodness!" the hologram said, "I only knew a few languages, so I was worried I would have to learn a new one!" She giggled.

"My name is Lydia," she said, "I am a Language and Yolick Data Intelligence and Archivist." Talia paused and took a moment, until it finally made sense.

"Oh yeah, Lydia!" Talia said with a smirk on her face. The hologram just stared at Talia, smiling at her, awkwardly as if waiting for something.

"And you are…" Lydia finally said.

"Oh! Sorry, I'm Talia," Talia finally responded.

Hunter walked on up to Taila in a hurry. "Sis, if this person is still here, we need to-what the hell is that?" He asked with a blank look.

Talia jolted from Hunter's sudden appearance, and so did Lydia as she suddenly turned. But Lydia just smiled up at Hunter.

"Hello, my name is Lydia," she said, "I am a Language and Yolick-"

"It's okay, Lydia," Talia said, "You don't have to repeat yourself." Lydia turned to Talia with a curious frown.

"I don't?" she asked…eventually a smile crept on her face. "That's a relief, I was getting bored of saying that all the time."

Hunter raised an eyebrow. He then kneeled down to observe the small blue lady.

"That is so cool," Hunter said, "It's like our own personal Cortana!" He then proceeded to poke the hologram, his gloved finger passing through the blue light and giving a tingling feelings to his finger. As he poked, the hologram lurched forward, obviously affected by the poke and Lydia turned and tried to speak to Hunter between pokes.

"Excuse…I…appreciate…stop…doing…that!"

"Hunter, stop fondling the hologram!" Talia scowled, to which Hunter pulled his finger back with an embarrassed look on his face. Suddenly, there was a series of beeping sounds that came from the same hiding spot as the Orb. Talia investigated and found a small antenna.

Taila quickly picked it up, and said. "Must have been the Zorgon's. We should take it with us, see what it was looking for, maybe on who did this.." She muttered to Hunter's agreement. The hologram looked between them with a concerned look, as of realizing something.

"Wait where is-" Lydia began to say before she stopped, stood there in a brief silence, before suddenly gasping in shock.

"Oh no," she said softly. Hunter and Talia looked at each other before Talia turned to Lydia.

"I'm so sorry," Talia said, "Was he your owner?" Lydia looked up at her.

"No, of course not," Lydia said softly, "He was just my transporter, he was supposed to take me to-"

Lydia's body suddenly flashed red as she gave an alert chime.

"My proximity sensors…" she said "I'm detecting that something's inside with us."

Then, they heard some clunking sound in the distance which caused them to go on high alert.

"Yep, I'm detecting that too," He replied with his power gloves primed up and ready with a glare, as Taila did the same with her staff as the noise got closer, and closer.

Then it stopped..it was eerily silent. It sent them on edge internally. What could be out there, that is to make them so uneasy. This was supposed to be a simple bounty hunting mission. But now it's turned to hell. Can it get any worse?

And it just did, when a metallic scream of sort was heard, as their new foe jumped out of the shadow. To their bewilderment. It was some sort of metal spider, with it's one eye turn red at the two intruders.

With all of what just happen, what could there be more to say? Well for Hunter, it was in the form of a quip.

"Hey sis, wild wild west?" He asked, trying to break the tension.

Much to Taila's annoyance. "Not Now!"
