Summary: Asuka declares her love for the first time….Alzack is not pleased.

"Daddy! Daddy, guess what?"

Alzack smiled warmly as he spotted his child running towards him, arms held out ready to tackle him into a hug, and the biggest, most beautiful, smile in the world. He immediately dropped to his knees to catch her, and picked her up as she giggled delightedly, before he nuzzled her nose with his. He didn't want her to ever grow up from this adorable stage.

"What is it sweetie?" he asked.

"Guess!" Asuka demanded.

"Hmm….did Mummy get a new haircut?"

"No!"

"Well then, did Natsu-nii destroy more buildings?"

"No!"

"Yes!" Master wailed over a tankard of beer. "My beautiful thirty million jewels is slipping away from me quicker than sand!"

Alzack grimaced at that. It had barely been a month since Fairy Tail had won the Magic Games, and already they were losing the money? It's as if the seven years made Natsu and the others more destructive.

"There, there, Master," Mirajane comforted the old man as she patted him on the back, "there's always next year's prize money!"

"Daddy!" Asuka smacked him lightly on the shoulder in order to get his attention back on to her. "You haven't guessed yet!" Asuka pouted adorably. "You have to guess!"

"All right, all right, let's see…." Alzack glanced around the guild wondering what new (and hopefully perfectly innocent thing) his child must have overheard or done today. "Is someone taking you out to the park?" he asked.

"No! You'll never get it!" Asuka squirmed in his arms. "I might as well tell you. Mummy said I should because you're so ob-ob-liv-obliv….something! You're so obliv-something!"

Alzack couldn't help but sweat-drop and laugh nervously at that. It was true, he was completely oblivious. If he had been aware that Bisca had returned his feelings he would have done something sooner instead he had been so completely blinded to them that it wasn't until Bisca pushed him against the wall and shoved her tongue down his throat that they got together.

"Very well then Asuka-Chan," Alzack smiled fondly at his child "what is it that I was supposed to have guessed?"

"I'm in love!" Asuka squealed.

Alzack turned to stone as he felt his soul leave his body. I'm in love, his daughter's sweet voice echoed in is head, I'm in love….

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THIS CANNOT BE! She was far too young to be in love! She was only three! How could this have happened?! What evil, perverted, guild member had stolen his precious daughter's heart? He will kill the bastard that did this!

"Ara! Ara!" Mirajane cooed. "And who is the lucky fellow?"

"That guy!" Asuka said as she pointed him out to Mirajane. "Isn't he handsome?" she asked dreamily. For a moment she sounded like a teenager and not the adorable little girl she was.

Alzack felt his soul leave again. He can't cope….

"Oh he is!"

"I'm going to marry him one day!"

"I can imagine it will be a beautiful ceremony."

"Daddy, put me down!" Asuka ordered him. He was so out of it, especially after hearing Mirajane and Asuka's conversation, that he obeyed his precious child without even thinking. "Thank you! Now I'm going to give Lily a kiss!"

"Oh no you don't!" Alzack snapped as he picked his child back up. "There will be no kissing under my watch!"

Mirajane giggled at that and Master seemed greatly entertained much to Alzack's irritation. This wasn't some show they can watch this was his child throwing her life away at some scumbag that didn't deserve her!

"BUT DADDY-!"

"You're too young to be giving boys kisses!" Alzack said sternly. He then shot Lily, who happened to be flying nearby, a menacing glower. "You stay away from my daughter!"

Lily blinked at him, bewildered. "Okay…"

"Alzack, don't you think you're overreacting?" Mirajane asked amused. "After all it is only puppy love….well kitty love, I highly doubt that Lily will be a danger to Asuka's virtue."

"Why would I…?" Lily muttered and then shook his head. "You humans are disturbing."

"You don't know!" Alzack glared at Lily. "He could be a perverted cat that has a thing for human girls. I heard he had a girl in Edolas!"

Lily tried to say something about how Coco was his friend and more of a surrogate daughter (much like how Wendy was to Charle) but Mirajane instantly spoke over him. "It could have been so much worse," she said as she tried to reassure the distraught father, "after all Asuka could have fallen in love with Gajeel instead."

Alzack took one look at the iron dragon slayer, who was lounging at the back gnawing on a toaster, and shuddered.

Okay there were worst things than his child falling in love with a cat… but that doesn't mean he'll let the perverted feline near his precious baby anytime soon!

(For the rest of the afternoon Lily felt a burning sensation on the back of his neck as Alzack sat in the corner, Asuka struggling against him in his arms, sending him murderous look after murderous look. Eventually he gave in and went home. Fighting with the dust bunnies under Gajeel's bed was becoming a more appealing option by the second…)
