Sasuke laughed out loud, a happy and joyful laughter that made Sakura wonder, how many hundreds of years had it been since they heard him laugh like this, of course, the man laughed but it was usually in a sarcastic, evil, condescending manner, not so carefree. Ino and the pinked haired vampire exchanged glances and shrugged, they liked this new version of Sasuke.

It had all begun when Iruka had suggested they traveled to Suna, the city closest to their house, because there was a festival that night and the city would be filled with humans, laughter and lights so their passing by would probably go under the radar. Naruto had batted his long eyelashes and made the cutest expression and Sasuke was sold, the brooding and stern vampire was wrapped in the human's pinky. And that had gotten them here, in a strange city of lights.

Naruto had ran towards the music, his golden locks, out of his favorite ribbon, bounced around to the beat of his twirls, his bright blue eyes shining in merriment, Sasuke watched him from the sidelines, smiling at his lover until the boy decided to walk towards him to extend a hand in invitation.

"I don't dance" - Sasuke declined but Naruto was already tugging his hand. "You do now" - the other retaliated.

Sasuke was dragged to the dance floor, holding hands with Naruto, helping him twirl and taking his smaller waist in his arms, the music picked up on its rhythm and after a few stumbles and stepping on the blonde's shoes he threw caution to the wind, he pulled Naruto into a kiss and he laughed, a joyous laughter and he danced.

Both of them locked eyes, their palms touching and their fingers interlaced, Naruto's skin glistening with sweat. Sasuke's enclave could feel Sasuke's emotions boiling under their skin, the love and affection consumed him, they felt warmth for the very first time in a while.

The girls joined the dance, basking in the warmth of the night, remembering the carefree and simple life they had lived as humans, enjoying amongst them.

After a few songs Naruto pulled him away, they visited a few stalls to buy food and small trinkets that called their attention, they finally reached a solitary spot near a bonfire and they sat down on the grass, partly hidden by the shadows of the night.

"What a fun night" - Naruto whispered, he leaned back to rest against Sasuke's chest and smiled when a pair of arms snaked around his body, the vampire hummed a response and sighed.

Naruto remained silent once again when the sky lit up in dozens of colors, he was startled by the bang of the fireworks, making the vampire snigger. The blonde pouted in mock anger and Sasuke laughed louder, he took the boy's head between his hands to kiss him slowly and gently.

The gang left the festival after hours of dancing and eating (mostly Naruto, obviously), the girls did not seem exhausted at all but they were definitely blushing after receiving so many compliments from the mortal men at the dance floor, they fanned their hands over their face and smiled coyly, inviting the man to come with them, most likely to turn them into their dinner and not what they were expecting.

They were quick to return home when the sun was peeking through the sky, cheeks flushed, skin glistening with sweat and smiling in content. And as the first rays of the sun adorned the sky everyone was back in bed.
