Ahsoka Tano didn't know what to think about these three Jedi Knights.

Her master, Anakin Skywalker, had all but broken down the door to the conference room where she had been sitting with Rex and some of the men going over a mission debriefing. He had come in with an almost manic smile on his face and quickly shuffled out of the room talking about lost family being found and not being the only one left. Ahsoka had looked towards the men for help, but they had simply shrugged and left her to her fate.

When she tried to get the Jedi Knight to elaborate on what he was talking about Anakin would always just try to explain but stumble over his words. She had never seen her master get this flustered before and she was starting to worry about what exactly had happened in that Sith Temple they were sent to investigate. The two of them made their way through the hallways of Master Kenobi's ship at a nearly breakneck pace and Ahsoka was feeling like they were headed towards a battle than a meeting by the way Anakin was nearly vibrating with excitement.

She honestly didn't know what to expect when she was led into the main hanger bay of the ship and in retrospect, she probably she shouldn't have been surprised by the sight of them. The three Jedi Knights that Anakin and Master Kenobi had found in that Sith Temple were very ordinary looking. Baseline humans by the looks of it and although they were wearing some interesting armor they didn't look out of place. Beaten silver and dark green wasn't too uncommon of a color combination though it did go against the beiges and browns of the Jedi Order.

"Jaina, Jacen, Anakin! This is my padawan, Ahsoka Tano!" Anakin was smiling from ear to ear as he introduced her.

Ahsoka couldn't help but smile as the sheer amount of joy was ringing through the force. Her master's shields weren't even trying to hold it all in and anyone even barely force sensitive could feel it. The three Jedi Knights all turned away from their conversation at the mention of their names and Ahsoka found herself the center of attention.

"Ahsoka Tano?" The female Knight, Jaina, said with a somewhat curious look on her face. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you."

The woman, for she was almost certainly older than Anakin, offered a hand. Ahsoka took it and shook, being slightly surprised by the strength of the grip and by how calloused the woman's hand was. She also noticed the two lightsabers on the woman's utility belt and wondered if she too was a Jar-Kai user. Even if the second blade looked rather odd with that weird hilt design.

"I forgot how young some of us had been in this war." The knight Ahsoka later learned was named Jacen said more to himself than anyone else.

"Either way, its good to meet you." The third knight said and stepped forward offering a hand. "I'm Anakin Solo!"

"Ahsoka Tano." Ahsoka said and shook his hand.

"Alright, alright, enough with the formalities." Anakin said and Jaina raised an eyebrow at that. "We're all family here as it is. No need to treat this like a council session."

"Family?" Ahsoka couldn't help but ask.

"Yeah, we're cousins to Anakin here." Jacen Solo said and gestured to her master. "Our mother is a Skywalker."

Ahsoka's eyes widened at that, and she looked towards her master. He was smiling brightly at that and nodded his head in confirmation. She didn't know that Anakin had more family in the galaxy. He almost never talked about his mother and there was no mention of a father. That would lead to there being no cousins around and yet here three of them were with mention of more being around. Although she was a little suspicious about it, three strangers just appearing in a Sith Temple claiming to be her master's family.

"We didn't know that Anakin existed either until we met him." Jaina Solo said and Ahsoka turned to look at her. "You have every right to be suspicious of us."

"Nonsense!" Anakin said immediately. "The force says that you three are family, so you're family whether you like it or not."

"It seems that somethings never change." Anakin Solo said with a small grin.

"Uncle Luke might have a challenger-"

"Enough you two." Jaina said as she elbowed her twin in the ribs. It looked forceful enough to cause Jacen to rub the spot a little though he was smiling all through it. "We're all family here."

"Aye, and the first thing we need to do is establish the pecking order." Jacen said.

"Jacen." His twin chastised him, but Jacen pushed onward.

"Oh, come on! Tell me you aren't curious."

"I am curious but challenging someone to a spar when you've just met them isn't exactly proper." Jaina said back.

"We're Solos." Anakin Solo said. "Proper isn't exactly our middle name."

"Point." Jacen said and then turned his attention to Ahsoka and her master. "Either of you care for a spar? Get the blood flowing and what not?"

"Of course!" Anakin said and Ahsoka didn't know if her master just wanted any excuse to spend more time with his so-called newfound cousins or if he really wanted to spar. It might have been both for all that she knew, but it was nice to see him act like this. The war had been dragging down on all of them and this felt like breath of fresh air.

Even if it was sparring.

"How… how are you doing that?"

Jaina simply waited for her opponent to ready again, her violet blade pointed down at the ground in one hand, the other resting on her side waiting for the right opportunity. Her brothers and the Togruta padawan were cheering on from the sidelines and not a few clone troopers had also stopped by to watch the spar. It wasn't every day that their general got thrashed like he was a youngling in the sparring circle.

"Doing what?"

Anakin Skywalker was sweating and had taken more than a few burns on his body from Jaina's lightsaber. They had both reduced their power levels so that they didn't remove any limbs, but they were just high enough to give burns, and so far, the score was seven to one in favour of Jaina. The man who was her grandfather didn't seem at all put out by that though, and by the way he was smiling showed that he was enjoying this a lot.

"That style of fighting." Anakin Skywalker said as he wiped some sweat from his brow. "I've never fought anyone who uses a lightsaber like that. Its different, not at all like Djem So. Its like a mix of… Soresu and Vaapad… if that makes any sense."

Jaina simply nodded at that. She wasn't that knowledgeable with the lightsaber combat forms of the Pre-Imperial Jedi Order. Soresu sounded like something old Ben Kenobi talked about once or twice when he got on one of his wandering stories of the Clone Wars. Vaapad sounded unfamiliar to her as well, so she had no idea if her form had displayed a mixing of those two. Though, her form had changed over the years, especially during the war, and she had to rein it in a little less she showed abilities that weren't exactly Jedi in their use.

Sending black force lightning at her grandfather wouldn't have been a good idea.

So, she stuck with pure lightsaber combat, refined from years of war and hardship, and it turned out that she might need to reevaluate. It felt different to fight against a lightsaber wielder that didn't use one of the three forms. Djem So as Anakin said he used felt like a combination of Strong and Fast styles but also different. It certainly worked for the man and Jaina could tell that he was a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, but there were also holes in his defense at times, and Jaina had used those to her advantage.

If she was going to be called the Sword of the Jedi, then she had better live up to the title, and what better way to prove that than by beating the Chosen One in a spar?

"I've had many years to refine m style of combat." Jaina said as her opponent took many more breaths than she did. "And I had very good teachers."

"Understatement of the year." Jacen mumbled to Ahsoka Tano.

"Jaina doesn't like to flaunt it, but she is one of the greats." Anakin Solo said with a grin. "You'll be hard pressed to find someone better than her."

"Hey! What about me?" Jacen said.

"I still hold the record." Jaina said and flashed a grin at her twin.

"Yeah, yeah." Jacen waved at that.

"I'll need to get Obi-Wan to spar with you next." Anakin Skywalker said. "He's the Master of Soresu and I'd bet that he'd be interested to see the variation of it that you use."

"I won't say no to that." Jaina said. She was curious about how Ben Kenobi would fight. Uncle Luke told stories of the man and from the records they had all said that General Obi-Wan Kenobi had been a great warrior. To hear that he was the Master of Soresu was interesting and it conflicted with the image that she had of the man in his head.

The force ghost she knew didn't like to boast about his accomplishments.

But they were in the past now and maybe the Obi-Wan Kenobi of right now did boast.

"Alright." Jacen said. "I want a turn at sparring. Ahsoka?"

Jaina's hand went over her lightsaber in quick practiced movements that returned it to its original power setting as well as turning it off and clipping it to her belt. The Sith Lord's lightsaber was still there and the interrogation would have to happen eventually. But letting the guy sit and stew for a couple hours might work in their favor. Imperial II-class Star Destroyers' holding cells weren't exactly kind on the mind. Maybe the Venator-class Star Destroyers were the same.

Anakin Skywalker did much the same and the two of them walked off towards the little group as Jacen and Ahsoka went in. The padawan fought with two lightsabers and with a reverse grip. Jacen had the more traditional form of one lightsaber and readied in the classic Strong style opening. No matter how many times Jaina chided him about it her brother would not shake from that particular opening, not matter what situation he was in.

Fighting a dual wielder meant an opponent who favored fast movement rather than strong attacks. Togruta were also known for their speed and pairing that with the force meant that they were faster than most Jedi. Still, Jacen kept to his proven form, and Jaina watched with her little brother and their grandfather as the spar started.

Green blades met one another with snaps and hisses as sparks flew. Jaina's point was proven right seconds later when Jacen was forced to backpaddle and adjust his form as Ahsoka advanced with speed on him. Two blades coming at two different directions made for a dangerous combination and Jacen was forced onto the defensive. Strong style was changed into Fast style as Jacen worked to keep his defense intact. Ahsoka, though she was using two lightsabers, pressed her attack as if she were using only one. A lot more power than Jaina would have expected from a dual wielder.

But there was also the risk that Ahsoka would tire herself out before her opponent's defenses broke.

"She moves very well." Jaina said to Anakin Skywalker as they watched the match.

"Ahsoka is one of the best." Anakin agreed as his eyes tracked the sparring pair. "A lot like I was back when I was a padawan to Obi-Wan."

Jacen landed a hit on Ahsoka and the Togruta hissed as the burn on her arm and the two disengaged for a moment. Jaina frowned at that. Ahsoka didn't so much as wear armor but what could be called a tank top with leggings and a utility belt. Hardly what would be proper on a battlefield. In fact, Ahsoka seemed to be the only person on this ship who wasn't in any armor, barring the naval officers. Jacen by contrast had the full Battle Armor on and had used it to his advantage as he had blocked a couple blows from Ahsoka's lightsabers with it much to the Togruta's shock.

"Why does she not wear armor?" Jaina asked as the spar started again.

"Ahsoka never really liked the feel of it." Anakin answered. "And before you say anything, she's hardly the only Jedi who doesn't wear armor, though the men frequently try to get her to put some on."

"I don't like that." Jaina admitted. "This is a war Anakin, and one blaster bolt to the chest might just spell an end to her fighting days. Amor would stop that bolt before it did any damage and keep her fighting." Jaina rapped a knuckle against her own armor. "It may just save her life."

Anakin looked at her armor and after a moment he nodded. The man was also wearing armor, though it was a combination of robes and armor, so not truly as effective as Jaina's own. It was still rather odd to see on him, the almost pseudo-armor, and she wondered what it would take to get the other Jedi to use Battle Amor like she and her siblings did.

Her point about the lack of armor had been proven yet again when Jacen scored another hit, this time a grazing one against Ahsoka's thigh. The padawan pushed through the pain and continued to fight on, lightsabers moving faster than before, and Jacen worked to block every attack. He called the spar to an end when he scored yet another hit on her shoulder and the burn looked rather nasty even for a low powered lightsaber.

"I think that's good enough for now." Jacen offered as he turned off his lightsaber. "And you really are very good Ahsoka."

"I'd feel a little better about that if I'd managed to land a single hit." Ahsoka said as she hissed at her burns.

"Well, there is always next time."
