"Hey, dad?" A young Izuku asks, watching as his mom starts stitching Hisashi's wounds. "Why don't you take all those program's hero offers? I mean, wouldn't that mean you would get healed at a hospital?"

Inko frowns a little, but understands her son's question. It's the same question she asked her own husband when she first learned about his little secret.

Hisashi chuckles. "Well, Izuku, that's because as a hero I wouldn't be stuck in one location like I want." The man looks out the window out of their apartment, smiling at the lights of the city in the night. "I've been in Musutafu since I was a kid, watched as it's grown, seen the people become who they are, and watched as heroes come and go. Never get me wrong, there are amazing people out there being heroes, but they all move around. Even local heroes get called out of town on business. So, who's left to protect the city if no one's around?"

Izuku nods, looking down at his All Might plush.

Hisashi sighs. "Izuku, I do what I do because All Might inspired me to help others. I'm sure he wouldn't agree on my methods, but that's besides the point." The boy looks up at his father. "You want to be a hero like him, right? I'm proud of you for that. But, he's not gonna be around forever, neither will I. So, while we're here, we'll do what we can. Whether if it's for the world as a whole…"

"...Or the one person in danger that we can save."

The smell of fire was one Izuku associated with his father, so the late night smells of smoke would wake him up in excitement. But now?

Now they woke him with fear.

Izuku woke up with a start, pain shooting through his entire body. His vision was blurry and filled with small patches of static, indicating that his mask eyes had been cracked. Slowly standing back up, he checked the rest of his body for damage.

His web shooters were a bit dented, but luckily not enough to damage anything important, so he could still use them. His bones all seemed to be in place, and luckily not really aching as much as they would if they were broken. It didn't seem like he was concussed either. All good news so far.

And then the bad news was that he was inside a hallway currently on fire, his targets escaped, and his jacket and pants were now burnt to a crisp. Right now, Izuku is thanking his lucky stars that his undersuit was flame proof.

"I'm not dead, and not super hurt. Healing should take care of that no problem. For now, I should just get out of here." He says to himself, slowly beginning to walk.

He headed for the exit of the hall, kicking the door down as he left. Outside of the apartment, Izuku found himself in an alleyway, sirens ringing nearby, as smoke pillows off the building. "Guess there were other tenants… They should all be okay, but I'll take a look around the side to make sure."

Slowly, Izuku made his way around the side, turning the corner to find the scene of Firefighters combating the flames. Families were all littered together, and single tenants were calling people, so it seemed all was good.

"Mom?!" Or not.

Izuku watched as a young boy, elementary age, was trying to get past the small crowd. "Mom?!" He shouted, looking around the area.

One of the firefighters approached the boy, revealing to Izuku that it wasn't a firefighter at all, but Pro Hero Backdraft.

"Hey kid, what's wrong?" The hero asks, crouching down to speak with the boy.

"M-my mom isn't out here! We were inside together, and then the blast happened, a-and now I can't find her!" The boy says, crying.

"Can you tell me what she looks like? What's her quirk?" Backdraft asks, the boy nodding.

"S-she's got brown hair, i-in a ponytail, and she was wearing a purple shirt, and-and she's quirkless." The boy says, sniffling in his panic. A few families look at the boy in pity, some in rage, some not even paying attention.

Backdraft nods, standing up, placing a nozzle hand at the side of his head. "I need a search for a brunette woman with a ponytail, purple shirt, no quirk. Let's save some lives, people!" The hero shouts, before giving one last look at the kid. "What floor do you live on?"

"The fourth floor." The kid responds.

Backdraft looks at the building, holding his breath. If she's that high up, there's no guarantee that she'll be safe, or that the fighters will even be able to get to her. Would he need to prepare himself to tell this kid of his mother's passing?

Suddenly, a sound of 'thwip' echoed across the street, as a figure in black accelerated towards the building.

Green webbing on his face, and combat boots on his feet, Backdraft recognized the description from meetings with other local heroes in Musutafu about the city's new vigilante.

"Spider-man…" He says, watching as the guy breaks in through a window.

The wall crawler lands on the hot floor with a thud, raising his arms to shield himself from a sudden rise of flames. "Hello?!" He shouts, hoping to sound over the roaring flames.

"Help!" A weak voice cries out, and Spidey steels himself, walking forwards slowly. The floor creaks below him, causing him to stop for a moment. This building is one of the older ones in Musutafu, meaning that this fire is bound to not be good for it. But, any breaking can be saved for later. There's a life to save right now.

Spider-Man continues forward, exiting into a hallway, as he looks across the burning building. "I need another shout!" He calls out, crying into the building.

"I'm here! Please!" The woman cries again, and Spidey picks up his pace a little. One of the room's doors is closed, and for a moment struggling can be heard behind it. Shooting out a couple web lines, Spidey catches the door and begins to pull, tearing it off the hinges.

In the middle of the room, trapped under the collapsed ceiling, was a brown haired woman with a ponytail.

"I've got you!" Spider-Man shouts, rushing over, as he checks on the woman. "If I move the rubble, do you think you can move?"

"M-maybe." The woman responds, and Spidey nods, turning a bit as he places his hands under the rubble. He feels along the edge, letting his spider sense guide his hands, until they both come to a stop. He begins to lift, urging every muscle he has to get the rubble off. The collapsed ceiling begins to lift, and the woman starts to crawl from under it, as Spider-Man continues to hold it up.

His spider sense starts to ripple through him, as debris from the floor above begins to move. He quickly slides underneath the rubble, holding it over his head, as more begins to fall down, the weight load increasing. Wood begins to fall from the rubble, nails attached to it scraping his costume, putting tears in the fabric and small cuts along the vigilante's body. "Hrrrrnnnnn!" He struggles, lifting more and more debris over his head, until finally the woman has crawled away from all of the rubble.

Quickly, Spidey begins to lower the debris, before leaping out, letting the ceiling fall completely, and the floor it landed on to fall out. Another loose wood piece smacks into Spidey's mask on the way down, completely shattering an eye piece. The boy hisses out a little bit in response, but nothing hurt his eye, so it's a good day still.

The vigilante gets back up, walking over to the woman. "I'm gonna pick you up now. You let me know if anything hurts when I do so." He says, lowering down in a crouch and scooping the woman up in a fireman's carry.

"Is my son… Okay?" She asks, looking at the young man with teary eyes.

"Yeah, yeah he's safe. Looking for you. So I'm gonna get you out of here and back to him, okay?" He says, the woman nodding in response.

Spider-Man sprints out of the room, heading back into the hallway. More parts of it are on fire, and the previously creaking floors are now replaced with large holes, edged by sharp wood. "Alright… Alright, I can do this. Hang tight, ma'am, I'm gonna get you out of here." He takes a few steps back, tightening his grip on the woman gently, applying his power to keep her in place. He takes a breath, focusing on the path before him, a window at the end of the hall.

"Alright Spider-Man… Let's go!" He yells, breaking into a sprint. He leaps right at the edge of the largest hole, jumping onto the nearby wall. He stops for a moment, his spider sense halting him, before more rubble falls. He waits, before his sense stops, and he leaps across the wall again, starting to run across the wall opposite. He skids, his senses warning him of more debris. He takes an arm and shoots a zip web, tugging him closer to the window. He turns in the air, moving the woman as he cradles around her, his back facing the window as the two break through it.

They escape the building, just as the flames begin to grow again. Entering a free fall, Spidey shoots out a web, swinging down towards everyone. He lowers towards the pavement and begins to sprint, slowly coming to a stop, before handing the woman over to a paramedic.

"Mom!" The little boy comes running over, hugging his mom's leg. "Momma! Momma!" He cries, sobbing into her pants leg.

Spidey watches, as the mother tries her best to pat her son on the head, giving him the comfort she can. The boy looks at him, and flinches in fear for a second, before slowly approaching him. "T-thank you, Mister Hero." He says, surprising the young man.

"Ah, I-I'm no hero." He responds, the boy looking at him in confusion.

"Then, who are you?" The kid asks, and the Vigilante looks up at the crowd around them. The firefighters are still putting out flames, a few families are looking at him in shock, the ones who were angry earlier are now looking at him with ire, and those who had paid no attention before were now watching with interest.

And Backdraft was staring at him, before giving a nod, and going back to the flames.

"I'm… I'm the guy looking out for people like your mom, and everyone else like her in Musutafu. I'm the guy looking out for the little guys." Spidey says, looking at the boy as softly as he can. "I'm… I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." He says with pride before turning away, breaking into a sprint and taking a leap, shooting off a web that he swings away on.

The little boy watches him go, a wonder filled smile on his face.

Izuku stumbles into his apartment with a hiss of pain, as he accidentally slams one of the cuts in his arm against the door.

"Izuku!" Inko cries out, running over to him at the sound of pain.

"H-hey mom." He replies, as the woman grabs onto him softly, leading him over to the dinner table. She sits him down, using her quirk to bring over a first aid kit, before she pulls out the things needed to wash his wounds. "Sorry, to make you do this."

"Don't be. I did it for your father, I'm glad to do it for you." Inko says, as she pours rubbing alcohol into a washcloth, and then applies it to his cuts. Izuku clenches his teeth, restraining a hiss, as she cleans the wounds. "Now, don't tell me you're gonna start hearing your wounds like your father did to do patrols faster. You let your body rest, you hear me?"

"I uhm, I actually have a minor healing factor. I heal quickly." Izuku replies, Inko looking up at him questioningly. "Honest! I got hit by a hammer in an accident back on the island, and my hand healed in two days instead of two weeks!"

Inko lets out a sigh, as she continues to apply the wound wash. "Well, I'm glad to hear that. At least you know what you can do. I don't know how we're gonna fix your costume though, all those cuts have to be sewn, and your eye is shattered in the mask…"

Izuku looks down, his mask in his hands. "Actually, it might be better if I make a new costume entirely." He says, Inko looking at him in intrigue as she begins to wrap his cuts in bandaging. "I made this costume back on I-Island during the villain attack. It was meant to strike fear into the hearts of the villains. But I'm not in an active villain attack all the time anymore, and I can't stick to the shadows if I'm out there to help people. Spider-Man needs to be out in the light when he can, helping people whenever he can, not striking fear into the race of everyone."

Inko smiles, watching as her son begins to grin, most likely already thinking of new ways to market himself as a friendly vigilante. She chuckles, catching Izuku's attention. "What's so funny?" He asks, Inko looking at him softly.

"It's just… You're so much like your father. Always thinking of ways to help people, get them to smile, have them like him, even if his quirk was breathing fire like a dragon, and he would swoop in from ferocious glides." The woman reminisced, Izuku watching as she stood up. "You know, I remember reading that some small sliders use a silk line to glide along wind. Ballooning, I think it was called."

Inko steps away, and Izuku stands up, watching as she heads towards her room. She returns a moment later, a box in her hands. "It won't fit, and I wouldn't even let you use it if it did, but maybe you can get some inspiration from this?"

She hands the box to Izuku, the boy taking it with confusion. He opens it up, and lets out a gasp as he sees the contents inside.

A red and white suit, with green wings that can extend and retract from underneath the arms.

"Dad's suit… But I thought that the police…?"

Inko shakes her head. "He always had spares, in case anything happened. His original is gone, but this one, and many like it, live on with us." She lays a hand upon Izuku's own, as the two look inside the box. Izuku tears up a little, as Inko holds back her own. "I think he'd be proud of you, for doing the things you've done."

Izuku nods, as he looks at the costume, unwilling to speak in case he starts to cry.

School was canceled the next day, which meant that Izuku now had a two day weekend, and so did Spider-Man. With his wounds needing to heal, and the need to make a new costume, Spidey was on break for a few days.

Izuku didn't mind much though, it gave him the time to both make that costume, sort through his drug hunt notes, and also finally call someone he's meant to call for a while.

First up, drug hunting. Izuku rolled his chair over to a pin board on his wall, looking at newspapers, sketches, and a map of Musutafu. "Glad I uploaded that picture to the cloud before the explosion. Now, let's see… The other houses were marked… Here, here, and here." Izuku placed five pins on the map, placing a sixth on the apartment building that had blown up the day prior. "The map of the underground complex corresponds with these four, meaning that the fifth building is likely another staging ground." He leans back in his seat, squinting his eyes to focus on the map. "The trigger is running through the underground, and it's led by a guy named Chisaki. They target potential villains, and try to wipe any evidence of their involvement afterwards, to varying effect. Villains aren't their original clientele though, cause that car thief from a bit back was just some two bit… What is the goal with these guys?"

Izuku looked at the board a bit longer, before pulling up the addresses of the other buildings on his phone, taking a look at the buildings. "These are all traditional style places, large and fancy. Plenty of money goes in to maintain these homes. But the other staging ground is just a warehouse, easy to dispose of whenever needed. Money like that though, that's old money. New money would go towards modern places…" Izuku kicks his chair over to his computer, typing away. "So, I'm looking for a group tied to drug trafficking, evidence disposal, and old money. So, I'm either fighting the Government or the Yakuza. Hoping it's the latter, because the former might be a bit too much."

Izuku sighs, as he closes out of his notes tab. That's one step taken care of, now for the second. Start on the costume or call that special person.

Well, he needs materials to work on the suit, and while salvaging his tech should be easy; getting the right protective material for the costume, new, sturdier lenses for his eyes, and ways to boost his already incredible abilities will prove a lot harder. That will require money, and calling a different person entirely to clear him to gather the materials from the nearby Shield Lab. So, might as well catch two flies with one web and do the calls now.

He opens up his web calling app and taps on a contact, letting the video ring, before the other side picks up.

"Izuku?" The voice on the other end speaks, a face now associated with it. A middle aged man with dirty blonde, nearing brown hair, and a goatee to match, with eyes hidden behind glasses. "Izuku, my dear boy, it's great to hear from you! Finally calling to talk about project OCTO, right?"

"Hehe, yeah, sorry about that Doctor Shield." Izuku says, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh, Izuku, we've known each other for a year and have had many scientific endeavors, we're past just calling me doctor. Please, at least call me David." The man replies, a smile on his face.

David Shield, owner and head scientist of Shield Technologies, the company Izuku had interned for while at I-Island. The man was a devout hero fan, like Izuku was when he was younger, but his quirk that let him move his fingers in odd ways put him on the path of creating things to help heroes. Perhaps that's why Izuku didn't mind doing support tech after the first couple months of working with the man, seeing ways he can still help people despite losing his original dream.

Of course, now he has to juggle his responsibility as Spider-Man with being a Support Tech, but Izuku did always like a challenge.

"Okay then, Mr. David." Izuku says, chuckling alongside the man for a second, as they enjoy the boy's wit. "But yes, I was calling to talk about OCTO. I heard you wanted some input?"

"Oh, yes! I was having some trouble with muscle coils earlier. Without those, the tendrils won't be able to support arms or legs if they enter a state of atrophy. Not to mention be able to do anything along the lines of support if heroes decide to use it for that." David responds, sending over a file to Izuku.

The boy opens it up, looking over the circuitry and materials listed. "Hmm, oh, I think I see the problem." Izuku states, typing away before sending over the changed files. "The extension coils were colliding with the muscles. Instead of having two, using one for both would be more beneficial, and even allow for greater range of movement."

"Received file! And you're right, I somehow forgot that in my rush to get the prototype developed." David speaks, chuckling a bit as she scratches the back of his head. "Thank you for your help, Izuku. With this device, we'll be able to help ordinary people and heroes the world over, by giving them new leases on life, and allowing those who believe themselves to be finished, a chance to rise again!"

"Happy to help, doctor." Izuku replies, as he notices a file coming through. "Uhm, did you send me another file?"

"Hm? Oh, Melissa must have done that, you know how she likes to help if I forget things while I'm working. If I remember correctly, those are the USB files you forgot here on the island." The man says, Izuku nodding.

"Oh yeah, I did forget that USB. I'll have to call and thank her in a bit." Izuku says, as he absent-mindedly looks through the files. 'These are all ideas me and Melissa had about the Spider suit during the villain attack… Web Bombs, Trip Mines, Suspension Matrix… I think I could make some of these with stuff I find on that junk Beach nearby. And, hey, is that my prototype for Project OCTO?'

A blueprint diagram of thin metal arms that fold up into tiny, compact, bracelets displays on the screen, alongside diametrics exemplifying applications and strength projections.

'It's what got me my internship to begin with. Hmmm, we decided on a thicker, more tendril like design later, but these spider-legs might come in handy if I build them. I'll ask Melissa about it when I call her.' Izuku closes the files, seeing David back to work on OCTO. "I guess that it's back to work then, huh?"

"That's right! The future pauses for no man, so we must create the future when we can!" David says, Izuku smiling.

"Alright then. I'll talk to you again soon enough, David." Izuku says, getting a wave goodbye from the man, before closing the call.

A text soon follows, Izuku opening it up to see it's from Melissa.

It's a picture, a screenshot specifically, of a news report from Musutafu. 'Masked Spider Saves Woman From Burning Building! - Is There A Vigilante On Our Streets?!' From Hero News Network.

A regular pops up next. 'This U?'

Izuku sighs. 'Yeah. That's me.'

'LOL, you fuggin trashed your costume. Gotta make a new one.'

'Yep. I was actually gonna ask you about that.'

'Figured you would. What materials you need?'

'I'll send the list here in a second. Think you can still get me clearance all the way across the globe?'

'Please, I've been taking tech from my dad for years. He'll ask what it's for and I'll let him know that you're working on a personal project and he'll let it slide like he does with me. I kind of think he wants to adopt you.'

'I think he'd have to fist fight my mom for it.'

'Oh he would die.'

'Definitely.'

'Alright, well you should have clearance to go pick up whatever you need. Just send me the list and the box will be ready for you by tomorrow.'

'Thanks. Talk to you again soon.'

'No problem, see ya Spider.'

Izuku smiles, closing the app entirely as he spins around in his chair. Alright, he's got everything settled, now he just has to wait. He sits in the chair in silence, before jolting up.

"I still need to design the costume."

"Aren't you a little young to be maintaining a multi-faceted mandible based infrastructure?" The Shield Tech employee asks, Izuku looking up at him through his shades and face mask.

"No. No I'm not." He replies, signing across the signature line as he takes the materials for suit maintenance that he needs. "Have a good day."

"You too." Watching as Izuku leaves, the boy walking to the bus stop nearby.

"What a weird kid."

"So, what are you doing?" Inko asks, watching as her son messes with a number of wires attached to black fabric, that seems a little thick for a costume.

"Applying control tech for the spider legs I'm adding." The boy responds, a small spark coming from his finger as he welds a wire into place. "This suit is supposed to be more heroic than the Villain Raid Suit was. Guess you could call it Upgraded."

"I still don't understand electricity. How are you sparking?" Inko asks, watching as Izuku glides around the floor in his chair, moving over to his laptop.

"Bio-electric generation. I'm not exactly sure how it works either, and I'm not too keen to find out. I already have enough nightmares about one day growing extra arms, I don't need dreams about becoming a walking power plant." Izuku shudders, before returning to the suit, applying more electricity to it. "And now I'm working on the web wings."

"Web wings? You're actually-?"

Izuku shrugs. "Dad had awesome ideas, and I have the tech and science know-how to make them work. They won't let me fly, but short distance gliding can apply in some handy situations. Especially if I need to scale down buildings." Izuku rolls over to his desk, picking up a black glove and slipping it over his hand. He pauses, looking over at his mom, who was giving him a soft smile. "What?"

"Nothing, nothing. Just… Reminiscing is all." She says, Izuku smiling at her before returning to work.

In Inko's eyes, for a moment, there was an older man in the seat, working on a scaled glove with claws, smoke flowing from his mouth as he smiled.

"So, despite the recent attack on the USJ, and the subsequent arrest of those calling themselves the League of Villains, the school board has decided to move the Sports Festival up. We will now be participating in two weeks." Power Loader speaks, the class cheering in excitement.

Well, except for Izuku.

As always, the boy presented himself as an enigma. Of course, the support teacher knew of the greenette's Recommendation Status, and therefore had no reason to advertise himself to any potential investors.

But even then people usually have good reactions to the announcement of festivals like this, especially the Sports Festival.

It was during lunch that he got an answer to Izuku's lack of enthusiasm.

"You want to abstain from participating?" The support teacher asks, Midoriya nodding.

"I uhm… I'm not comfortable making any appearance at all on TV, even if I get knocked out in the first round. I'd rather just take the day to myself." He says, looking away as best he can.

Higari goes to think, stops when his co-worker from the Heroics Department hands the boy the abstaining paperwork. "Fill that out and give it to your teacher." The scraggly looking man says, and Izuku nods and takes the paper, before leaving the room.

"I could have done that myself, Aizawa." Higari says, the scraggly man looking at him with his usual deadpan in response.

"The kid knows his boundaries and has a future already in his plans. Knowing you, you would have tried to convince him to try anyway. I just did what he wanted." The man says, before returning to his desk. "Besides, he likely doesn't want to run into his previous classmate."

"Previous classmate?" Higari asks, Aizawa nodding.

"My student, Bakugou. The two attended middle school together. I looked into the brat's past after the first training session in heroics, and saw he went to school with Midoriya." Aizawa explains as he types away at his computer.

"Bakugou… Wait, that kid who blew up the entire building after he lost his match?" Higari asks and Aizawa nods.

"Kid had never been taught that might doesn't equal right, and seeing as your kid is quirkless, it's likely Bakugou was his bully. We don't have enough proof to support that though, so most I can do is help keep the two apart." Aizawa says, before pausing. "Though, Yaoyorozu said he had some interesting ideas. Maybe you could assign him to a couple of my kid's costumes to break him from his shell."

The man falls silent after that, leaving Higari to his thoughts.

Have Izuku work on some of the hero students' costumes? Not a bad idea.

Green feet with black webs and black soles step out from the stairs leading onto the roof. From the shin up black takes the forefront, until a strip of green separates it at the waist.

The green footed figure starts running, leaping into a front flip, as black gloves with green fingers once more webbed in black grab onto the ledge of the roof. They push themselves off, jumping from the roof, extending arms out, a pair of white web wings extending as they glide for a small but, before they close their limbs in tight, shooting out a web line as they swing across the city scape.

"Coming through!" Spidey shouts, making his presence known to those around him.

He leaps at the apex, tilting to his side in a spin. His green chest and mask on full display, black webs taking the accent marks. A small black spider symbol takes place on his pecs, his spin showing the larger white spider on his back, before he shoots out another web swinging on through the city.

"How was school today, sweetie?" Inko asks over the phone as the vigilante continues to swing.

"It was good! They said that the Sports Festival was gonna be moved up, so I put in an application to abstain!" The boy responds as he lets go of his web rope, landing on the top of a water tower. "I was gonna use that day to work more on the drug case."

"Okay, just be careful, okay? I know that new suit has a bit more armor, but you aren't invincible either." Inko chides, Spidey smiling under the mask.

"I know. I'm gonna see what Spidey can do for today and then head home. Love you, mom."

"Love you too." Inko returns, before hanging up the call.

"Okay, let's see what Spider-Man can do for the city today." The vigilante days to himself as he attaches a pair of webs to walls nearby and slingshots himself away.

Mei slams her phone in front of Izuku's lunch the next day, a mad smile on her face. "He has a new costume! And it doesn't even have a hood!"

Izuku stops, looking at the phone. Sure enough, there was his new costume, holding a kitten as he looked for its owner. It took an hour, but he did eventually find them. "Huh, neat."

"Neat?! Izuku, this suit has more potential than the old one! It has glider wings, increased aerodynamics, and a friendly appearance! Spider-Man is about to be rising in popularity!" Mei cheers, taking her seat across from the boy. "Ohhhh, I hope I can meet him in person someday! I'd love to talk about the upgrades he made to his OS, and see what else he's done too!"

"I'm sure he'd love to tell you all about it." Izuku chuckles, picking at his food. Suddenly, someone sits next to him, Mei barely paying attention as she resumes looking at Spidey's new suit. Izuku turns his head, looking to see Yaoyorozu sitting next to him. "Uhm, hi?"

The hero student smiles. "Hello again, Midoriya! I meant to eat with you yesterday, but it seems you weren't here, same with the day of the attack last week." She says, Izuku nodding.

"Yeah, I had some important family stuff come up, so I couldn't make it. Oh, speaking of that, are you okay? I heard real villains attacked you guys." Izuku says, the girl nodding in response.

"I'm okay. A little scuffed, but safe and healthy." She says, Izuku letting out a breath of relief.

"Glad to hear it." Izuku says, before Mei grabs his attention again. It's a picture of him in the new suit using his electricity to charge a car engine.

"Look at this! He's starting to step out of the shadows! Gasp, do you think he's hearing our conversations? What if he goes to this school?!" Mei goes frantic, Izuku having to hold back a serious amount of laughter. "And the electricity! Is that artificial or biological? Ohhhh, so many new things!"

"What are you two discussing?" Yaoyorozu asks, Mei going back to her phone.

"Only her favorite person, that new vigilante, Spider-Man." Izuku answers, as Mei continues to look over the new pictures of the boy. For a moment Izuku wonders if he could make some money on the side selling pictures of himself in the suit.

"Spider-Man… I've heard about him. Didn't he save a quirkless mother from a burning building?" Yaoyorozu asks, Mei nodding ecstatically. "I'm glad. Those people have it hard enough as it is, to lose their life due to negligence would be terrible."

"You… Don't hate quirkless people?" Izuku asks, a bit of surprise in his voice.

"Oh, heavens no! Many of the maids and butlers who helped raise me are quirkless, and they're some of the strongest people I know! Midoriya, are you implying that you do?" Yaoyorozu asks, and Izuku panics a little.

"M-me? N-no way! I mean, that wouldn't be kind of me, and certainly not the ethic of someone who works with heroes, or-!"

Mei laughs, interrupting the boy. "It'd be pretty silly if he hated them, seeing as he's quirkless himself." The girl says, breaking Izuku and surprising Yaoyorozu.

"Oh… My gosh, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to imply-!"

"No, it's fine! You didn't know-!"

"But it was still rude to suggest-!"

"I wasn't exactly forthcoming myself-!"

Mei groans. "Ugh, romance. Can you two just kiss already?"

The words break the two, causing them to halt words entirely. They simply look at their food and start eating, not speaking a word. The two stop as they finish their plates, their heads now cleared.

They look at each other, and Yaoyorozu goes to speak… And then, Izuku's spider sense suddenly kicks in.

Izuku leans back, raising a hand, and catching a book headed towards Yaoyorozu's head. The girl freezes, looking to see Izuku's hand protecting her, as the boy glares at the thrower.

A boy with ashy blonde hair and ruby eyes stares back, an angry look on his face. He growls through clenched teeth, making his rage even further apparent. "Deku….!" He hisses, as he stares the boy down.

Izuku stares back, confronting the man he most despises.

"Kacchan…."
