"Of course.", Robert nodded as he continued his work and massage her feet to the best of his abilities. "I have to admit, Susan, while it's nice and all with what has happened with the children; I do kinda wish they were a bit normal in terms of their growth and all. What I mean is it's a little harder to tell right now when exactly they're coming as opposed to the normal nine-month period, you know?".
Susan nodded softly, "I hear you. But we both know that they're healthy and strong. I suppose they're waiting for the right moment to announce that they're coming.".
"Yeah, those two seem pretty smart already.", Robert stopped rubbing before he stood back up and walked around to give her a kiss on the cheek. "Well, we'll just have to keep waiting then, but it really has to be any day now. I think with how big you are now, love, they've past that early birth point and are now in the whole late birth. Sorry, did that make sense?", he rubbed the back of his neck with how confusing he sounded there.
Susan laughed softly, "I think it's the middle birth point.", caressing Robert's goatee, and smiled lightly, "No offense, but you're getting close to the nose here. You'd better get a shower.".
"Okay then." He smiled as he started heading towards their bathroom. "Try not to make any sudden moves you three while I'm in there." He gave a warm laugh as he left the room.
Susan chuckled softly to herself, "No promises there.", rubbing her baby belly, "So, wanna listen to some music, imps?".
A sharp kick from the side answered her, and Susan laughed softly, "Alright, Phillippe, some classic rock, then.", grabbing the radio remote, and flicked it on, switching a couple of channels before finding one.
Susan grunted lightly as she moved around slightly to rest her back against a pillow, "No more ice cream for you, Esme, you're getting heavy.", getting a sharp kick in the back corner, "You heard me, young lady.", before dozing off in listening to the music for a few minutes until she woke up at a pain in the back.
"I should have asked Robert to massage my back too...Oh, well.", Susan muttered lowly as she moved from her position, getting up steadily, and went to grab the tv remote on the stand next to the chair when another pain came up, "Oh! Okay, that one was rough.", before hearing something sloshing on the floor.
She is wearing a nightgown for the fact that she's comfortable in it. Anyway, she looked down, and gasped in shock as she realized that the water has broken from her wo-mb, and then another pain came again, "Looks like you're deciding to come! ROBERT!".
As soon as he heard her shout, Robert rushed out of the bathroom as fast as he could. He wasn't even fully dried by the time he rushed back into the room, only dressed in a pair of boxers.
"Shit!", Robert shouted as he moved up to her, quickly telling what was going on. "You two couldn't wait until I was finished, could you?". He could honestly feel like that his unborn children were pulling a joke on their father. "Okay, hold my hand tight, Sue, it's going to be alright. I'm gonna start making the calls.".
Susan groaned lightly, "Of all the times, I wish the Quantionium isn't taking a break!", sitting back on the chair, rubbing her belly.
"Really? Oh, great, so we may have been right to worry about the pains. Okay, Sue, just keep holding on. I'm right here and I'm going to call for the doctor first, then start calling everyone else, alright? Just take some deep breaths, got it?", urged Robert.
Susan took some deep breaths, "Hurry!", groaning upon one of the first contractions. "I'm trying!", Robert said as he rushed for a phone and immediately went to work trying to get everything in place that was needed for the twins' arrival.
Within 30 minutes, the doctor and their friends made it to Modesto, and while their friends wait in the living room, Susan, Robert, and the obstetrician doctor are inside the bedroom.
"So far, she seems to be going through the motions fairly normally.", the doctor explained to Robert as he kept a tight hold on Susan as she was taking some deep breaths.
Susan groaned from a sharp contraction, "They're getting stronger!", one of her hands clenching into the sheets, with her other hand clenching into Robert's hand, "Please tell me that I'm close to the pushing part!".
"I hope so!", Robert grimaced as Susan squeezed him. "I think your Quantonium infused strength is starting to cut off my hand, love.".
"Well, if I had you hooked up, I would be able to have a better reading, but I'm having to play this by eye and all, and so far, haven't seen either head crowning yet.", The doctor said.
"They better hurry up and take my advice when they come out and do it fast, don't follow her example and take almost an entire day. She might be able to handle that.", Robert replied.
Susan groaned in pain as another contraction came, and she gasped in surprise as she felt one of the twins dropping into the pathway, "One of them just came in contact, engagement!".
"Okay, okay! We're making progress!", Robert's spirts perked upon hearing that. Hopefully, it was a good sign that things were going to be over soon. Of course, it could also mean that one twin was ready to leave, but the other still wanted a little more time which would draw out the stressful experience.
"Alright, just take a deep breath, Mrs. Murphy, we might be seeing a head any moment now if we've reached this point.", the doctor responded.
Susan took a deep breath and exhaled as she felt the other twin rolling slightly, but still deep inside behind his or her sibling, and glanced at Robert, "Anything?", gesturing for him to take a look as she let go of his hand.
Robert looked over to where he could see along with the doctor as Susan really was looking like she was under more stress than she had been in quite some time. "Can't tell from this angle, doctor?"
"I think... hold up... wait, I've got something! It's starting to push open! One's already on the way now! Keep breathing and take small pushes, don't try to hurt yourself.", The doctor told them.
Susan blinked in delight upon hearing the news, and nodded as she took good, small pushes as she breathed deeply, clenching her hands upon parts of the bed.
"Come on, Sue... you're doing great, my queen. Just keep going, you'll be alright.", Robert kissed her forehead as she kept on with the childbirth.
"Yes, head is now crowning! There's some little hair on their head. Obviously same as both of yours.", the doctor mentioned, the two of them knowing for sure they inherited their platinum silver hair.
Susan grunted as she heard that, and she gave bigger pushes, fluid and blood gushing out, "Oh, that freaking hurts!", feeling the shoulders stretching out her walls.
"Please, Sue, just hold on, it'll be over, I promise!", Robert kept assuring her. "It's pushing out fairly fast, and it's quite big!", the doctor shouted. "Almost as big as an elementary school student!".
Susan screamed out in pain as she gave the biggest push that she could to get the shoulders through, knowing Robert's there to adjust the baby for the final push momentarily.
"Here, let me help, Doctor.", Robert leaned over to help grab the baby that was now pushing out at a rapid pace now that the shoulders were through.
Susan grunted loudly as she gave the final push, knowing the gender will be shown quickly enough, feeling the little belly, the legs exit her womanhood, panting heavily with tears when the baby gave out its first cry.
Robert hung tight as the baby came out before Robert quickly could tell that it was Phillippe. Robert gave a soft chuckle as he and the doctor quickly helped wrap up the baby.
"Looks like Phillippe is going to have a little sister.", Robert chuckled before he raised up their son so Susan could see.
Susan sobbed lightly as she saw her son, "Oh, Phillippe! Look at you!", before gasping at a contraction, "Please, Esme, you're next!" as she pushed out Phillppe's deflated placenta including the cord.
"Here, let me see him for a moment so I can cut his cord.", The doctor asked as Robert quickly handed him back for a moment. Turns out the baby was bigger than they guessed as he was almost as big as the doctor.
"I'll keep holding him while you cut it.", Robert said. Susan exhaled shakily as she recovered her strength, and then blinked in surprise as she felt no more contractions, but she can still feel the pain of her daughter moving downwards, "Robert, some of the Quantonium's back!".
Robert gave her a look when she said that. "Wait, what do you mean by that?", he asked her as he gently patted her hand to keep her calm with the moment.
Susan looked at him straight on, "When Phillippe left my body, some of the Quantonium came back, and I don't have any more contractions, but I still feel pain with Esme moving on.".
"Huh, guess those two were pretty much leaching off the Quantonium then. Allowing them to absorb it, but in the process making the situation more normal for you. In terms of the pain and all.", Robert theorized with a thoughtful smile.
Susan nodded, "Huh-uh.", before gasping in pain as she felt Esme's head pushing through, "Esme's coming!".
Robert looked back to see that indeed Esme was pushing out fast herself. "Guess she didn't want to make her brother wait." Robert said as he grabbed Susan's hand while his other one held on to Phillippe.
Susan grunted loudly as she pushed, feeling that Esme's head is halfway though, and inching forward, "Turn her and pull her out slightly, I still got to push the shoulders!", yelling in pain as her womanhood's stretching out.
"I got her, I got her!", Robert rushed over as he placed Phillippe with the doctor and grabbed Esme's head. "Hang on, sweetie, Papa's got you, you're almost there but you gotta help Mama!".
Susan gave out another one of her biggest pushes ever, screaming out in pain as she pushed Esme's shoulders out, the walls stretching to fit the newfound size of her daughter, feeling Esme's body still wiggling through.
"Almost there! Almost!", Robert said before he finally saw Esme's final pushes and she ended up right into his hands, fully free of her mother. "She's... she's beautiful.", Robert nearly teared up as he held the baby in his hands; unlike her brother, she seemed fairly calm at the moment, if a bit annoyed by the bright light as her eyes needed time to adjust.
Susan panted lightly as she pushed the last placenta/cord, and then she instantly felt 100% stronger and better albeit sweaty and dirty as she called out to Robert softly, "You were right. The Quantonium is back to full strength and power.", sitting up with a smile for her body is healing right back up through she'll have to work to get the extra baby fat gone.
"I think they've certainly had their fill, that's for sure.", Robert chuckled as he grabbed the two babies and held them in his arms before turning to the doctor. "Thanks a ton for your work. I think we'll be okay with them now, but that's your call."
"I think the two are very healthy just from the looks of it, of course, we'd rather have them back at the hospital soon just so we can keep an eye on them for the next few days.", the doctor explained.
"Of course, but let us have an hour or two with them at least?", Robert asked with a smile, and the doctor nodded as he started to head back for the living room, leaving the couple alone. "You want to finally see her?", Robert asked.
Susan nodded, "Yes, let me hold Esme.", reaching out with her hands. "Look at you two, you finally get to see who your parents are.", Robert chuckled as he hung on to Phillippe after he handed Esme to Susan. "Sorry to disappoint you two.", he joked.
Susan chuckled softly as she held into Esme, gently caressing her little cherub face, "Don't take your papa's jokes too seriously. He means well, and he quite got a protective streak. Now, Esme Jasmila Murphy, open those bitty eyes.".
Esme snuffed stubbornly, and Susan chuckled, "You don't get your first milk from me if you don't open your eyes, my stubborn imp.", before Esme whimpered lightly, opening her eyes which is revealed to be Robert's hazel eyes, with the green spots surprisingly glowing faintly.
Susan exhaled softly, "There you go, sweetheart. You certainly have enjoyed having the Quantonium, huh?".
"I'll be... she's got it even more than we did, I think. Then again, these two were also kinda born with it unlike us.", Robert pointed out as he held Phillipe near his mother as well. "This one might be just as stubborn if not more with how fast he wanted to be born.".
Susan glanced at her son within Robert's arms, and smiled softly as Phillippe snuffled loudly in protest, and she giggled, "You heard your papa, Phillippe Blaise Murphy. You wanted to be first, so you did. Now, come on, open your eyes for your papa.".
Phillippe seemed to sigh as he opened his eyes, revealing to be Susan's bright blue eyes and there's a thin part in the back that's glowing green, almost like a rainbow of sorts. Susan chuckled softly, "You're already setting yourself apart from your sister. You may have the same platinum silver hair like us, but both of you are different with your beautiful eyes.".
"Ain't that the truth. You two look so perfect now, especially now that we can see you as well.", Robert gently touched Esme's chin before putting his hand on her head. "She's certainly letting her hair grow out right now.", he pointed out as Esme had quite a bit of hair on her head.
Esme cooed happily as if she's proud of that fact, and Susan chuckled softly, "Like mother, like daughter.", before she blinked at Esme reaching for her left breast, and smiled, "I promised ya milk, didn't I? Okay.", loosening up the sleeve over her shoulder, freeing her breast, and brought Esme to it.
"Shall I help Phillippe to your right one then?", Robert asked as he moved their son into position. "Come on, you two, you want any more Quantonium from Mama, you're gonna have to drink.", he teased before he leaned over to kiss Susan on the lips. "How're you feeling right now, my queen?".
Susan smiled at Robert happily, "Like nothing could stop me from loving those imps.", glancing lovingly at the twins who treaded her breasts, feeling the milk go through as they suckled hungrily. Susan kissed Robert on the cheek as he joined her on the bed, feeling his arm go over her shoulders with his other arm resting upon Susan's forearm, "We did it, my prince. We got a family.".
"It certainly was touch and go for a bit... at the start of it all, I was almost certain we were going to die when the army showed up when we first grew.", Robert shook his head. "Honestly, those first two months of our new lives really just were the worst moments as well as some of the best.", he gently stroked her hair as he gave her another kiss.
Susan chuckled softly, "And look at us now. We're a mama and papa, and we have twins. And we're giant monsters, of course, which is even more rare than say, having twins.".
"Isn't that the truth?", Robert chuckled with her. "God, they're so perfect.". Robert gently rubbed both their heads. "And almost so well behaved already. I mean, Esme hasn't even cried yet."
Susan blinked in surprise as she glanced at Esme, and looked up at Robert with concern, "Phillippe cried when he was born, but Esme didn't...Babies are supposed to cry when they are born into a new world.".
Robert soon looked concerned as well when he saw the look on his wife's face. "You don't think..." Robert was feeling fear gripping him again as he thought what could be wrong.
Susan frowned, "Esme is clearly making small sounds like cooing or whimpering, but she isn't crying at all...We have to get the doctor back in here.".
"Right, I'll go get him.", Robert said as he left leaving Susan alone with the two souls she had brought into the world.
Susan gently removed her twins from her breasts, "Sorry about interrupting your first dinner, but the doctor will be in soon, and I need to be decent.", drawing the shoulder straps back up to cover her breasts, her twins snuffling and whimpering as they are burped lightly by Susan before nuzzling up in her arms, clearly sleepy after the big adventure they had.
"Okay, I brought him back.", Robert came back in holding the doctor in his hands. "Now, I'm understanding that you two are concerned with the fact that Esme hasn't cried yet?", asked the doctor.
"Yes, Susan's quite worried that something might be wrong with her since she didn't do that.", Robert explained. Susan nodded, "She's able to do small sounds like whimpering or cooing, but she hadn't cried at birth like Phillippe did.".
"Hmm... that is peculiar.", the doctor was brought close to the girl and looked her over as he put a stethoscope on her. As if on cue when he touched her with it, she began to cry. "Well, there it is.".
Robert gave out a slight sigh of relief. "Phew, well at least, she can do that. Still, it was a bit strange.". Susan gave out a little sob, "Thank goodness she's okay! I really thought her vocal cords were damaged somewhat...".
"Oh, that's what you were concerned with?", Robert realized what Susan's fear was. "I thought the Quantonium somehow affected her more than normal or something. Like maybe she's more understanding in the mind or something.", he rubbed the back of his neck.
Susan looked at Robert with a surprised look, "Oh, I hadn't considered that...I know Esme is picky, and she took quite a bit with deciding her middle name...So, she's a quiet girl when she is observing things...".
"Maybe we should let Doc take a look at them sometime. For all we know, those two might be as smart as him already.", Robert chuckled. "I hope not though, I want to do my fair share of teaching them the world and having to learn things from us.".
Susan sighed lightly, "Thank you, doctor, for your help. Our children are quite healthy and well. I'd feel better if you could just shorten the checkups for a day at the hospital. For some reason, I couldn't bear to be apart from them.".
"We'll certainly try and make do with your situation. After all, your situation is absolutely unique.", the doctor chuckled warmly as he left once more.
"Unique... that's one way of describing the four of us.", Robert kissed his two children.
Susan smiled softly at Robert, "Indeed.", before glancing at Esme with a raised eyebrow, "You gave us a little scare, young lady.". Esme tilted her head, making baby eyes at her, and Susan grinned, "Oh, pulling the puppy eyes routine, eh? I swear, you'd make any boys' heads spin, or maybe girls...After all, there's love out there somewhere for you and your brother.".
Esme blinked blankly, and only reached out to Susan's breasts, baby-talking to Phillippe who gave out a whine, making Susan laugh gently, "You want to resume dinner again, huh?", removing her shoulder straps to free her breasts once more.
"Hungry little things.", Robert chuckled as he just sat down and relaxed next to her. "You know, we're going to have to let the others in here pretty quick. Maybe give us four a few hours to ourselves though?", Robert asked.
Susan nodded, "We will have them in soon enough, but I think they deserve 10 more minutes of dinner.", smiling fondly at the twins suckling the milk, though albeit surprised that she isn't running out due to them being so hungry.
"These two are going to run you dry in a matter of weeks.", Robert joked as he ran his finger along their backs. "Try to go easy on your Mama, you two.".
Susan smiled, "I don't think they would run out of milk. A normal human would easily run out, thanks to their appetites, but for me, I feel like I am able to run for a long time until they can be weaned off or having their first teeth.".
"Well, let's hope so in that case or these two are going to be very unruly when they can't have their Mama's milk.", Robert said as he yawned. "Kinda hate it right now that these two decided to be born so late. I'm exhausted with stress through the whole ordeal.".
Susan chuckled lightly, "I think they wanted to be absolutely sure that they were safe and all 100% developed for their birth, and I am glad they did. And we can catch some sleep after the others see them.", chuckling lightly as she glanced down at the twins who peered up at her, still suckling, though they are slowing down slightly.
"Yeah, I think we can hold up for at least another hour, but we're going to have to get a curfew on these two. You two should know that now usually isn't the time for people to be up.", Robert chuckled as he gently rubbed their heads again.
Esme snuffled in protest as Phillippe ignored him, aiming to finish their dinner, and Susan chuckled lightly, "After dinner, you two gotta hold on for a bit for your uncles to see you, but then you can go to sleep.".
"And your grandparents, you might have some trouble with Grandma since she's less likely to let you two go... even when you're slightly bigger than her.", Robert smiled as he looked to Susan. "Seriously, we might need to set some ground rules with her.".
Susan groaned lightly, "I'd allow for a number of quilts to be made into twin blankets for those two. Thank goodness Daddy helped out with the painting after you built the cribs. But I couldn't let her spoil those imps on Halloween. Halloween is sure intense for Modesto around here.".
"Don't we know it.", Robert kissed her. "Of course, for these two, it's going to be almost the greatest day ever for them. Might even be better than Christmas.". He sighed as his hands moved into gently rubbing his wife's skin, "Still, all in all, we really did well here. We have two beautiful twins and they're absolutely perfect.".
Susan nodded with a smile, "Yeah, everything's perfect.", before a tug at her hair grabbed her attention, and she looked down at Esme, free from suckling her breast, blinking lightly with a gurgle. Susan chuckled, "What is it, sweetheart?", and Esme peered up at Robert, causing Susan to smile, "She wants you to burp her, darling.", noticing that Phillippe is slowing down upon the other breast.
"Okay then, hand on Esme, Papa's gonna help.", Robert leaned over and used his index finger to lightly pat at his daughter's back as the little baby seemed to like the gentle touch he was using before she gave a soft little burp. "She even burps like an angel.", he chuckled as Phillippe finished as well and looked to want the same. Robert complied and did the same before he burped, sounding much louder and rougher than his twin's. "And he's already burping like a man."
Susan raised an eyebrow, "Hopefully, not too much like a man. They need to learn manners, especially Phillippe here. After all, they're our little princess and prince, even if they're imps at times.".
Robert smirked as he rubbed his wife's back, "Careful not to call them imps for too long, we wouldn't want them to take that meaning to heart.".
Susan chuckled, "That's fair enough.", drawing back up the strip sleeves, "Alright, ready to meet your uncles, you two?". Phillippe gurgled as Esme looked a bit shy.
"Don't worry, they'll love you as much as we do. Just... be aware that they're different from pretty much everyone else you'll normally meet in life.", Robert tried to assure them.
Susan nodded, "Your papa's right about that. They're the very best friends a monster giant could ever have. Now, try to be brave, okay?".
"Remember this, you two, you're the children of a giantess queen and her giant prince, so nothing should truly be feared.", Robert smirked as he looked at his wife.
Susan chuckled lightly, "That sounds about right.", and nodded to Robert, "Go get them, eh?", with a smile. "You got it.", Robert gave her one more kiss before leaving the room once more.
Esme and Phillippe, like all babies, grew fast, but in this case, growing fast for those twins means growing by size and weight.
It had already been nearly two years since Robert and Susan first were struck by the Quantonium asteroid which honestly surprised the two when they thought about it. For the time since the twins' birth, their focus had mostly just been on raising the two babies they helped bring into the world but were honestly surprised by the progress. The two were now about eighteen months old and already, they were walking and had a foot or two in height over a basketball goal.
For Esme, she got along famously with Dr. Cockroach, but she's more down-to-earth, and loves to fly on Bea, and she gets irate when B.O.B. sometimes get into her favorite food. And for Phillippe, he loves to hang out with Link, learning how to wrestle by example, and likes to learn about history from General Monger.
And as for their grandparents, Esme likes to play tea party with Wendy and Susan, and sometimes playing superhero with Jonathan and Carl. Phillippe likes to play race cars with Jonathan and Carl and loves to work on puzzles with Wendy.
It was a quiet weekend for Susan and Robert as their two toddlers were simply playing with a group of large cardboard boxes the two were using as building blocks. Robert went out of his way to quickly paint letters on all of them so the two of them could spell words if they knew them.
Susan smiled softly, "It's hard to believe that to think one moment, they were just scrambling for my milk, and the next, they're walking to the couch for some playtime.", cuddling with Robert on their loveseat in the library, watching the twins.
"At least they're growing pretty much like normal now.", Robert admitted. "Gives us more time to enjoy them as little ones before those two are full grown adults before our eyes. I'll be honest, I couldn't stomach the thought of them rapidly growing through their childhoods.".
"I don't think they'd let them play. Too unfair of an advantage unless the two of them were always on opposing teams.", Robert chucked as he gently rubbed Susan's shoulder.
Susan lightly hummed, "Then they could create a new sport. Something that would be involving them and the other kids. I mean, that would be spectacular to see, yeah?".
"Oh, certainly. And at least they can play some with us when the time comes. Just need to find a very sparce land for me and Phillippe to play catch or something.", Robert said as they watched their two children continue playing with the boxes. "I have to say, the good news is that things should be a bit easier with them soon. It's always that first year or two that's the hardest when they're so helpless and you can understand them half the time.".
Susan chuckles softly, "Yes, but we came to know them very closely, and we will learn of their favorites soon enough. I only wish to hear them say their first words which should be happening sooner or later.".
A loud laugh caught their attention, and they look over to see Esme smiling widely with a finger pointing to the boxes which spelled out her name, and Robert gasped softly, "Well, she's already spelling her name. What a smart girl!".
A gurgle nearby, they notice Phillippe patting his own boxes that spelled out Mama, and Susan smiled widely, "Oh, aw, that's right, that's me, Mama! Well done, Phillippe!".
"How fast they've learned...", Robert shook his head. "Doc has a bit of a theory that the Quantonium has developed their brains a bit faster and that these two might be considered prodigies when they hit school age.", Robert explained. "That certainly would explain the fact that they just spelled those things out. I promise you, in the next week, Phillippe is going to spell his name too.".
Susan nodded, "I can see that, darling.", kissing his cheek warmly before Phillippe whined loudly for their attention, and Susan glanced at Phillipe, "What's wrong, sweetheart?".
Phillippe looked intensely focused, struggling to say something, "Ma..Mam..Mama!", and everything went silent for a moment before Susan shrieked out in happiness, "Did you hear that, Robert?! Say it again, Phillippe, for Mama!".
Phillippe smiled widely as he giggled out loud, "Mama!", raising his arms in a gesture, and Susan got up quickly, picking up Phillippe, pecking his face with kisses, "Oh, you said your first word! You said Mama!".
Robert laughed as Susan coddled their son. "Okay, so I was somewhat right about that.", Robert rubbed his son's brushy hair. "Yeah, that's right, Phillippe, this is your Mama.". He then turned to Esme, "Now then, sweetie, can we get you to say Mama or Papa too? Come on, we don't want to leave you out of this moment.". He picked her up.
Esme looked thoughtful before she looked way focused, speaking slowly, "P, Pa, Papa! Papa!", a smile forming on her face as she realized that she got it right, "Papa!".
"That's right!", Robert gently tapped her nose. "I'm your Papa! Phillippe, careful, your sister is once more competing against you!", he joked as he brushed his daughter's hair.
Susan raised an eyebrow, "Now, Robert, don't pit them together. Friendly competition is one thing, but I do not want them to be fighting.".
"I'm just teasing, Sue, don't worry. Last thing we want is that. These two should be the most perfect of siblings to each other.", Robert gently patted Esme's head.
Esme smiled widely, "Pi-Pilly!", looking at Phillippe, and Phillippe smiled widely, "Esy!". Susan chuckled lightly, "Well, you proved me right, Robert. They love each other. Now, what do you say to ice cream for their big moment?".
"Not too much though, last thing we want is really messy diapers from these two.", Robert remembered the last time the two of them had a bit too much ice cream.
Susan winced from remembering that time, "True, but this time I am allowing them only one scoop each.", and the twins looked disappointed but still happy that they're still getting ice cream.
"Oh, you two can deal with that.", Robert assured their children as he handed Esme back off to Susan and went to get the family some ice cream. "I can tell you one thing, my queen. Your mother is going to absolutely bawl when she hears them talking.".
Susan chuckled softly, "Now I can believe that. She's gonna be called Gramma, and she'd never get tired of it.".
"Again, like when these two were born, going to be hard to keep her away from them.", Robert smirked. "Well, give them a few more years and she might calm down.".
Susan laughed warmly, "Perhaps. At least we all know that our twins are going to be good people no matter what.", kissing Esme and Phillipe's foreheads as they giggled, "Mama, Papa!".
"That's right, you two, Mama and Papa are getting you ice cream.", Robert came back with the large gallon of ice cream, or gallon compared to their giant sizes. "Now then, hold them still, Sue, and don't let them on the counter or these two will tear this thing apart.", he laughed.
Susan giggled lightly, "Don't worry, those imps know better than giving me trouble, hmm?", and Esme looked sheepish with Phillippe nodding slightly.
Robert smiled as he quickly scooped the ice cream as quick as he could. "Yeah, sure, but the moment we look away, boom, they're covered in melted ice cream and they'll be crying about tummy aches."
Susan nodded, "That might happen, but they know that we have to give them yucky medicine in case of tummy aches.", making Esme give out a face at the mention of medicine, and Phillippe sounded out, "Icky!".
"I swear, if these two starts holding conversations with Doc next week, I think we should agree that they can probably take care of themselves.", Robert sighed at the thought that it was already feeling like those two might not be needing their parents sooner rather than later. Obviously still plenty of time, but Robert was being his usual silly self.
Susan laughed lightly, "I don't think so, my prince. They will need us no matter what. And besides, they are only able to say one-word things for now. I think that'd be enough for some time.".
