Summary: Natsu gets insanely jealous after he makes a conclusion.

Pairings: Natsu/Lucy, Lucy/Laxus, Lucy/Master (all in Natsu's head), Gray/Juvia, and implied Laxus/Mirajane.

It had been a normal-ish day for Fairy Tail when Natsu gleefully revealed to Gray his greatest steal from Lucy's apartment…her notebook. "Now we can find out what Lucy's writing about!" he giggled, like a naughty school boy, and eagerly began to thumb through it. His reading skills were incredibly rusty and Lucy's handwriting was terrible, so he began to struggle through it but he noticed something that made him frown. "LD," Natsu read, "all across she has LD in love hearts. What on earth is LD?"

"They're initials," Gray rolled his eyes, "you moron!"

"Who are you calling a moron?!"

"You!"

"Why you-!"

"Natsu," Erza said calmly as he ate her cake, "Gray. You're not fighting are you?"

"No!" Gray yelled as he wrapped an arm round Natsu. "We're the best of friends!"

"Aye Sir!" they pulled apart the moment Erza's back is turned. "But why would Lucy's have these initials?" Natsu asked. "Wouldn't hers be LH?"

"Perhaps Lucy-san is pretending to be married?" Juvia spoke up suddenly. She had been carefully watching Natsu when Gray had been putting his gorgeous arms round him, and then decided to help Natsu out. "Juvia does that sometimes. She likes to sign herself as JF, the wife of her one and only love – ah, Gray-sama!" she swooned slightly. "Or," she said as a thought occurred to her, "they could be a man's initials!" she squealed. "I wrote Gray-sama's all the time with mine entwined in a heart of love forever!"

Gray nervously edged away. Not that anyone noticed, Juvia was in la-la land, and Natsu was still frowning over Lucy's notebook.

"LD…LD…LD." Natsu frowned. "Lucy….Dryer, Laxus Dryer….LD, Laxus!" Juvia and Gray jumped back as Natsu burst into flames. "Laxus!" He growled as he crossed the room furiously. "You fucking bastard!" he punched Laxus in the jaw, hard enough to make the blonde dragon slayer to wince and blink. "Fight me!"

"What the hell, Natsu?!" Freed cried out horrified. "How dare you harm, Laxus-sama while he is enjoying his lunch!"

Natsu ignored him and took to shaking Laxus by the collar of his coat. "I'm going to kill you, you bastard!" he snarled.

Laxus blinked, unbothered. "The fuck?" he asked Freed, Bickslow, and Evergreen. They all shrugged cluelessly.

"Natsu!" Mirajane cried out horrified. "What on earth has gotten into you?"

Natsu ignored them all as he punched Laxus once again. Irritated, and never being the one to stand there a let anyone punch him, Laxus punched back. Soon enough a full blown fight started out between them which caused everyone to seek protection of the tables and the bar, Juvia very happily ended up in Gray's lap in the commotion, as Laxus and Natsu began to destroy everything in their wake.

"I WON'T LET YOU HAVE HER!" Natsu bellowed.

Laxus' eyes skittered towards where Mira stood, she nibbled her lips worriedly, and he felt his power spark up in fury. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT I CAN OR CAN'T HAVE?!" he roared back.

"YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR LUCY!"

"WHY YOU- wait," Laxus blinked as he felt his anger fizzle out. "Lucy?"

"Yes!" Natsu hissed. "Lucy! My Lucy!"

"I thought you were talking about M…someone else," he said quickly trying to cover his blunder. "What the hell are you on about that blonde tart for?!" he demanded to know, unhappy that he had been attacked on the behalf of Lucy. Someone he barely spoke two words to.

A dark, purple, angry aura suddenly swirled around them.

"What did you just call me?!"

Laxus and Natsu both stiffened at that tone with that voice, Lucy had never sounded crosser in her life. "Lucy!" Natsu cried out in false cheer. "You're here!"

"I've been here all morning," Lucy pointed out, "what the hell is going on?"

"Lucy!" Natsu suddenly grabbed hold of her shoulders. She grimaced as his fingers dug into her skin, they were certainly going to leave a mark. Natsu never knew his strength. "You can't fancy Laxus!" he cried out desperately. "He's an arsehole!"

"Thanks," Laxus muttered sarcastically.

"What?!" Lucy squeaked. "I don't fancy Laxus!" she cried out horrified. "What makes you think I fancy Laxus?"

"You wrote LD in your notebook!" Natsu said as if that explained it all. "Who else has a surname begins with D for you to fancy?!" Everyone else stared at Natsu as if he was the most stupid man in the world….well he was. "Oh my God!" Natsu blurted out as realisation. "I know who you fancy now!" everyone leaned in eagerly. "Lucy that's disgusting! Who would fancy Gramps?!"

Everyone collapsed.

"I don't fancy Master!" Lucy screeched horrified. "Oh my God, you must be the most stupid man in the entire world!" she wailed.

"There's no need to be nasty," Natsu grumbled childishly. "Who else is there? There's no one else by the Dryers with a surname that begins with D!"

"Dragneel!" Lucy shouted furiously. "They stood for Lucy Dragneel, you idiot!"

There is a moment of sheer silence as everyone stared at Lucy. A howl of wind from outside filled it as Lucy stared at Natsu, bug-eyed and pale as she just realised what she had said. Horror gave way to embarrassment as her face slowly turned bright red right to the roots of her hair and she then turned away from Natsu really quickly.

She then stormed out of the guild.

"D-D-Dragneel!" Natsu choked. "Me?" he asked out loud. "She fancies me?!"

"Well….yeah," Gray said, "everyone knew about it."

"AND NO ONE THOUGHT TO TELL ME?!" Natsu screamed. "AH!" He clutched his hair as he screamed in frustration. "I've been a huge dick, like Laxus-"

"Oi!" Laxus barked. "Quit the insulting crap!"

"No wonder Lucy is so cross!" Natsu carried on as if Laxus hadn't spoken up. "Lucy!" Natsu cried out as he looked round for her. "Lucy wait for me!" he cried out as he then ran out of the guild as well.

They didn't see Lucy and Natsu for two days straight. The running bet was they were either shagging like bunnies or Lucy killed him. Both seemed very likely.
