Time to Love You
By: kpron2008
Everyone was happy and celebrating that Lord Voldemort was dead; except one. Her name was Harriet Potter. She wondered if Voldemort well Tom had had someone that loved him and cared about him; would he have done what he did. She was lost in her thoughts as roamed the battle field of Hogwarts and then headed to the one place where she had met the sixteen year old Tom Marvalo Riddle.
Hermione and Ron along with Ginny followed her. They were surprised to see her go into Moaning Myrtle's bathroom which meant that she was going to the Chamber of Secrets. When they entered the bathroom; Myrtle was floating near the entrance and saw that her and Harriet were talking. So they listened to what they were saying.
"Hi, Myrtle." Harriet said.
"Hello, Harriet. Are you going down there again?" Myrtle questioned.
"Yeah, I figured that I want time to think things over." Harriet said.
Suddenly, a man in a black suit appeared and asked, " May I come with you, Ms. Potter?"
Harriet nodded.
"Who is he?" Myrtle questioned.
Harriet looked at Myrtle and said, "This is Mr. Morte, he's a friend to my family that I recently had a chance to meet."
"Oh?" Myrtle said.
Meanwhile, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny were stunned that the man in the black suit was a friend to Harriet's family; but they wanted to know more about this Mr. Morte who claimed to be friends with the Potters. They followed the two down into the Chamber of Secrets.
Once, they caught up to Harriet and Mr. Morte who were inside the Chamber of Secrets now; they decided to enter to figure out what Harriet and the guy were doing. They hid out of sight unaware that Harriet and Mr. Morte was aware that they were there.
"Will everything be ready, Mr. Morte?"
"Yes, Lady Potter and I wish you the best, plus they do as well."
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Morte."
Ron, Hermione, and Ginny wondered what they were discussing; but they had also heard Mr. Morte call Harriet 'Lady Potter' which meant that Harriet had some how already claimed her inheritance either during or before the war.
"Well, I must return then, Lady Potter."
Harriet nodded.
They watched as Mr. Morte disappeared and wondered where he went; but more importantly, they wondered what Mr. Morte and Harriet had been talking about because they had apparently overheard the tale end of the conversation. Also, they wondered who Mr. Morte had referred to when he said 'they'.
"Come on out." Harriet said.
"How did you know that we were there, Harriet?" Ginny asked.
Harriet debated on what to tell them because of what she had found out.
_Flash Back_
Harriet was doing her chores that her Aunt and Uncle gave her when she returned for the Summer after the battle at the Ministry of Magic and Sirius' death. When an owl swooped down and dropped a letter in front of her. The letter was addressed to her; so she opened it and read:
Lady Harriet Potter-Black,
We are informing you of your godfather's affairs that you must attend to. Also, there is something that we must inform you of immediately.
There is a port key attached to this letter that will bring you directly to the bank post hast.
Griphook
Gringotts Bank
Harriet finished reading and put the letter in her pocket then she finished her chores for the day. Then after a while, she took the port key to go to Gringotts directly.
Inside Gringotts...
A goblin named HookClaw was waiting for Lady Harriet Potter-Black. He wondered what she was like because he had heard from some of his fellow goblins that she was very polite to every magical creature; he had to admit to himself that he was nervous about meeting her.
Suddenly, the port key flashed and there stood the most beautiful witch, he had ever seen. Then he asked, "Lady Potter-Black?"
The young witch nodded.
"Follow me, please?" was all he could say.
Harriet followed him and they were heading to a room that only a few witches and wizards went into for private matters.
"Good Evening, Lady Potter-Black." A goblin said.
"Good Evening, sir. I understand that this summons was very important." Harriet said.
"Yes, you have been considered an adult since your 4th year therefore you were able to do magic outside of Hogwarts at the age of 14." The goblin said.
Harriet was wide eyed at this information.
The goblin noticed Harriet's shocked expression and began to explain everything to her then he asked, "You also have a marriage contract with Ron Weaseley; do you wish to honor it?"
This caught Harriet's attention and asked to see it. The goblin handed her the document and she read over it then told the goblin that the contract was a forgery.
When the goblin asked her how she knew that; she told him that she had read a muggle book on forensics in her spare time. The goblin asked her if she wanted to destroy it and said yes. Of course, this was after the goblin let Harriet read her parents' wills. Then Harriet asked for an inheritance test that included a family tree.
The goblin did just that as he had Harriet give three drops of her blood. The scroll was long and Harriet was amazed by how many properties she owned as well as her family tree; but what caught her attention the most was the Ancient Noble Houses that was of her bloodline.

_End of Flashback_
Harriet merely decided to say, "Mr. Morte was a friend of my many times great grandfather."
"That makes him old." Ginny said.
Hermione and Ron nodded in agreement with Ginny.
Harriet giggled and said, "I guess it does but I told him that I'm going to rest for a while."
"I guess that sounds good." Ron said.
However, unbeknownst to her so called friends; she was planning on traveling back in time to save Tom Marvalo Riddle because Dumbledore made the mistake of not caring for children under his so called care which was both her and Tom.
So, she decided to go back to Gringotts and pay for the damages done but also explain to the goblins as well as to do some shopping before she was heading back to Grimmauld Place and prepare for her trip back in time with help of Mr. Morte (Death) and Ms. Faith (Fate) to save Tom.
A few days later...
Harriet had everything packed and ready to go. She had the clothes that she would be wearing on when she got to the time period that she was going to.
Harriet sighed because she knew that this was going to be tough; especially, trying to get Tom's attention.
Suddenly, the floo flashed and her so called friends entered her home; which she was upset about because she wanted to leave early.
"Harriet?" Hermione said.
"What is it, Hermione?" Harriet questioned.
"We wanted to come by and see you." Hermione said.
'Sure you did, traitors!' Harriet thought to herself.
"Harriet, we are worried about you." Ron lied.
"Harriet, Ron and I received a notice from Gringotts." Hermione stated.
"You would think that they would be grateful to us." Ron said.
"If this is your way of asking me if I had gotten one as well; then the answer is yes and I took care of it right away." Harriet said.
"Why?" Ron questioned.
"Because the goblins are in charge of the bank in which my money as well as every witch's and wizard's money that they protect." Harriet stated.
Hermione was stunned then asked, "What did they say to you, Harriet?"
"They were actually surprised that I was willing paying for the damages done to the bank during the time of war. They thanked me for giving the money to them to help repair the damages." Harriet answered.
Kreacher decided to pop up with some refreshments.
"Bloody Hell!" Ron said.
Harriet ignored Ron and said, "Thank you, Kreacher."
"Mistress, is welcome. Blood Traitor and Mudblood need to let Mistress be because Mistress is mourning the loss of those who were family to her." Kreacher mumbled.
Ron and Hermione heard what Kreacher said and looked at Harriet.
"Kreacher is right. I'm mourning my loss of loved ones as you two should be." Harriet said in a tone that they never heard before.
"Harriet?" Hermione questioned.
"Hermione, I have been reading on the Black Family traditions and much more in order to understand some things. When you think about it, Draco Malfoy and I are cousins which sort of surprised me. So, I'm also trying find out about the Potters because my father was a pure blood as well and my mother was a muggle born who wanted to learn the way of the pure bloods from what I gathered from Sirius and Remus." Harriet said.
"YOU'RE BLOODY COUSINS WITH DRACO FUCKING MALFOY?!" Ron said angrily.
Harriet looked at Ron and said, "Yeah and that was shocking to find out." Harriet said calmly.
"I guess that would be a shock since you were rivals thru school." Hermione said.
After her so called friends got done talking with her and left. She immediately got everything ready to travel back in time.
"Good luck, Mistress." Kreacher said.
"Thanks, Kreacher. If everything goes according to plan then this future will change." Harriet said.
Death and Fate as well as Time who appeared with them.
"Are you ready?" Death asked.
Harriet nodded.
"Lady Potter-Black, I'm Time. Death and Fate explained everything and I agree that is why I plan to help as well. If you and Tom plan to return to this time or a certain time; here's the spell to use." Time said handing her a piece of paper.
"Thank you." Harriet said taking the piece of paper from Time.
Then Death, Fate, and Time stood in circle around Harriet and began chanting a spell that would send her back in to 1943 in order to save Tom Marvalo Riddle and change his fate. As they were chanting the spell a golden light surrounded Harriet and her things that she shrunk and put in her pocket before Ron and Hermione had visited that day. Then she disappeared.
In 1943...
Tom and his followers were outside when a flash of light appeared in front of them.
"What in Salazar's name was that?!" Brax said.
"I don't know." Avery said.
The light died down and there stood a young lady standing there in Silvery white clothes and her raven black hair with what appeared to be silver and red highlights in it. When she faced them; her eyes were as green as the killing curse were staring at them from what they saw on her clothes it appeared to be blood like she had been a fight.
Then she spoke before passing out, "Pl-please h-help?"
Tom immediately walked over and picked her up bridal-style ; just as Headmaster Dippet and Albus Dumbledore came out of the castle as they were alerted that the wards had been breached.
"Mr. Riddle, who is she?" Dippet asked.
"I don't know, sir but I think she's been in a fight." Tom said.
Dippet and Dumbledore saw the blood her silvery white robes.
"Let's get her to the infirmary." Albus said.
Tom and the others followed the professors to the infirmary.
A few days later (1943)...
Harriet was waking up and was looking around to figure out where she was.
"Oh. Good, you're awake."
She turned to see a nurse looking at her.
"Where am I?" Harriet asked.
"You're at Hogwarts, dear and in the Hospital Wing of the school." The nurse. answered.
Harriet was quiet for a moment.
"Well, the headmaster, deputy headmaster, and the three young gentleman who you seemed to have shocked will want to know if you're awake and okay." The nurse said.
Harriet tilted her head in confusion.
Suddenly, Two adult gentlemen followed by three young gentlemen entered.
"Miss, I'm the Headmaster, my name is Professor Dippet. This is the Deputy Headmaster and Transfiguration Professor, Albus Dumbledore. These three young gentlemen are Mr. Riddle, Mr. Malfoy, and Mr. Avery; they're the ones who helped you." Dippet said.
"Thank you." Harriet said looking at the young gentlemen.
"You're welcome, miss." Tom said.
"By the way, may have your name, young lady? Since we introduced ourselves to you." Dumbledore said.
"My name is Selene Harriet Peverell." Harriet answered.
Everyone in the room was stunned into silence for a moment or two.
"How did you get inside the wards of Hogwarts?" Dumbledore asked curiously.
"I don't know. All I remember is running and fighting a man with two eye colors." Selene said.
Dumbledore's widened at that
"What did Mr. Grinwald say to you, Miss Peverell?" Dippet asked.
"He said that I was the key or something." Selene said.
The interrogation continued for a few more hours. Tom and the others had already left to return to their classes.
By the time, the interrogation as well as the sorting of Selene was done. Selene really wanted to get to her dorm and relax for a while and then to bed.
The next day...
"So, Miss Peverell, you're in Gryffindor?"
Selene turned to see Tom Riddle and said, "Yes but this will be a fascinating year; don't you think?" Selene questioned.
Tom blinked and said, "What?"
"Sorry, running for your life like I have...being here seems peaceful to me." Selene said.
"I see." Tom said, "Do you have your schedule, Miss Peverell?"
"Yes and Mr. Riddle, thank you again for everything even though you're the Slytherin Prefect." Selene stated as she walked off.
Tom blinked in confusion and walked after her. They made it to potions class. When they entered the classroom; we're greeted by Professor Slughorn.
"Welcome to potions. Hello, Tom." Slughorn said.
"Hello, Professor. This is Selene Peverell." Tom said.
"Ah yes, Ms. Peverell. I do believe your prefect is showing you around?" Slughorn questioned.
"Yes but I seem to find myself bumping into Mr. Riddle a lot." Selene answered, "Which isn't a bad thing, it just happens and I wish people would quit being prejudice over it."
"He's a Slytherin!" A Gryffindor said.
Selene turned immediately towards the Gryffindor that spoke and said, "I have terrible things, horrible things that could give you nightmares because of one man and for some reason; he wants me and I don't know exactly why but it could have something to do with the story written about my great uncles for all I know."
The students and Professor Slughorn were stunned.
Class continued.
Then after potions were Selene was heading to her next class and apparently, Tom Riddle was in almost everyone of her classes except Care of Magical Creatures. She figured that she have a break from him besides breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
"Peverell?"
Selene turned to see Charlus Potter and said, " Yes?"
"Stay away from Riddle." Potter said.
"Mr. Potter, do you know much about the school itself?" Selene said.
"Well no but..." Mr. C. Potter trailed off.
"Mr. Potter, before this war started my parents made sure that I know about the three magical schools in Europe to see which one I would like attend when I turned eleven; however, that did not happen until now." Selene said.
"What do you mean, Peverell?" A Gryffindor girl questioned.
"Hogwarts is the most safest place right now for me. I would wonder what the Founders of Hogwarts would think now about their beloved school that has caused students to be at a rivalry with each other." Selene said then walked out of the Great Hall.
The Gryffindors watched as Selene walked out and a certain Slytherin Prefect. Tom followed Selene and he was surprised to see heading towards the girl's lavatory. He wondered what she was up to; so he hid because Selene was standing at the entry way to the Chamber of Secrets. Then he heard Selene sigh followed by another voice, "What are you doing here?"
Tom recognized the voice as Myrtle's voice.
"I just need to think about somethings." Selene said.
"Are you after Riddle?" Myrtle asked curiously.
Selene giggled and said, "Mr. Riddle sees me as a mystery to solve. I guess that's why we bump into each other."
Tom surprised that Selene knew what he thought about her.
"So you're not in love with him?" Myrtle questioned.
"I don't know if I could fall in love so quickly, Miss." Selene said.
"My name is Myrtle."
"Well, Myrtle...I don't know if I could possibly fall in love with Mr. Riddle so quickly because he prove himself to me in some way. I'll admit that Mr. Riddle is charming but this hard times and a lot of people are losing loved ones like friends and family. Yet, there is a mad man out there and the only chance is for everyone stand together in unity. Muggle-borns, Half-bloods, Purebloods, and even those who have creature inheritance need to stand together because we all live together in the Magical World." Selene said.
Tom heard what Selene was saying becausehe thought about those same things.
Several months later...
Tom was planning to go down to the Chamber of Secrets to check on the King of Snakes but he decided that he would take Selene with him down into the Chamber. He also had to admit that he was curious about her more than usual and he wondered what it was. Also, he had to admit that Selene was invading his dreams since she had arrived here.
Tom decided to search for Selene because he wanted to talk to her. When he found her there were snakes and several other creatures around her and she was singing for some reason.
All my life I have been hurt.
No time to think about love.
Having to deal with a war.
No one really cares how I feel.
How much I want to be normal in a world I was taken from.
Now it's time to love you because you have stolen my heart.
Tom continued to listen to her sing and he was amazed at how beautiful she sounded. He wondered who could have hurt Selene besides the Dark Lord known as Grinwald.
Selene stopped singing and asked, "Who's there?!"
"It's me, Tom Riddle." Tom answered coming out from behind a tree.
"Oh. Hello, Tom." Selene said with a smile.
"What were you singing just now?" Tom asked curiously.
"It was a song that created." Selene answered.
"Selene?"
"Yes, Tom?"
"Selene, would you let me love you?" Tom asked.
"We could give it a try if you like, Tom. I would like to time to love you as well, Tom." Selene said.
Tom was confused.
Selene giggled and said, "What I mean is Dark Lord is after you then you must be protected." Ton said.
( Time Skip)
It was the Yule/Christmas holiday break and both Tom and Selene were staying for the holidays.
"Selene?"
"What is it, Tom?"
"I want to take you somewhere special."
"Oh?"
Tom nodded.
"Okay." Selene said.
"Ah! Tom? Selene?"
Both Tom and Selene turned to see Professor Slughorn walking towards them.
"Hello, Professor. Selene and I are heading some where for a date." Tom said.
"Young love. How beautiful." Slughorn said.
"Professor, is there something you need?" Selene questioned.
"Just wanted to see how my two favorite students were." Slughorn said.
"We're fine, Professor. We were thinking of doing homework and spending the holidays together once our homework is done." Selene said.
Back to the Future (2 years have passed since final battle)...
Everyone that Harriet knew was now married, including those that she secretly had trusted with her plan about saving Tom Riddle.
"We never did find Harriet." Hermione said.
"Yeah, well it's better this way." Ron said.
"But the strangest thing is we can't get into her vaults at all." Ginny said.
"I know. I wondered if Harriet was aware of what we were doing?" Hermione stated.
"I doubt that, love." Ron said to Hermione.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door to the Weaseley Home.
"Who could that be?" Ginny questioned.
Arthur went to door and was surprised to see Draco Malfoy standing there.
Molly was stunned to see Draco as we're the others with the exception of Bill, Fleur, Charlie, and Percy as well as George and Fred.
"Malfoy, why are you here?" Ron questioned.
Draco ignored Ron and looked at Arthur Weaseley and said handing him an envople, "I was told to give this to you, Lord Weaseley by Lady Black the heir of Sirius Black."
Arthur blinked then took the envolpe and began opening it.
"Sirius didn't have any children!" Molly said.
Draco turned to face Molly and said, "Apparently, you're not exactly aware how close the Black Family and the Potter Family are. I'm sure you know who the late Lord Black's goddaughter was." Draco sneered.
"Harriet?!" Hermione said.
"But how?!" Ron said.
Draco chuckled because he realized that Harriet went Slytherin on her so called friends and Dumbledore.
Arthur was now reading the letter and he was literally upset with his wife, youngest son, his daughter, and soon to be daughter.
Then he said as calmly as he could, "Molly, do you recall Harriet's 4th year?"
Molly nodded.
Arthur still held the letter in his hand and said, "Harriet says that she had been contacted by Gringotts to put Sirius' Affairs in order after his death."
"So?" Ron said.
"So?! Harriet became emancipated at the age of 14 from where her name had been in the Goblet of Fire!" Arthur shouted.
Molly paled at hearing that.
"What does that mean?" Hermione asked.
Draco couldn't believe this that so called know-it-all wasn't aware what this meant and said, "Granger, it means that Potter could take hold of her titles such as Lady Potter-Black considering her godfather named her his heiress well heiress."
"That's impossible!" Ginny screamed.
"No! Draco Malfoy is correct and as such Harriet has declared a feud between certain members of this family and has confirmed with a friend of the family that Dumbledore is being taken care of in the afterlife."
"I bet he's enjoying that." Ron said.
Suddenly, the Weaseley Home became very cold and a voice said, "I wouldn't exactly say that he's enjoying it after all he's dealing with three dead Aurors, a highly pissed off Muggle-born with green eyes, along with highly pissed off werewolf called Moony. Then he is also dealing with a very pissed off man that he once loved. Also, he's having to deal with four pissed off founders of Hogwarts."
Molly and the other three were confused as well as startled by a man in a black suit.
"Who are you?" Ron asked looking at the man in the black suit.
Draco turned and said with smile, "Mr. Morte, I assume."
The man dressed in a black business suit nodded.
"Mr. Morte?" Ginny questioned.
Death looked at the four that his Mistress was having the feud with and said, "My friends and I gave my Mistress the chance to save a person that needed saving the most."
Finally, Hermione asked still confused, "What do you mean that Professor Dumbledore is dealing with three pissed off Aurors, a pissed off Muggle-born with green eyes, a pissed werewolf, and the four founders of Hogwarts?"
Death looked at Hermione and said, "It is just as I said."
