In the truck:
Ethan and Luka sat in the front seats, while Mike, Sarah, Andie, and Lily were sitting in the back seats, comfortably.
"Aw, now I can't lay down anymore," Andie said as she closed her eyes.
"You can lay on our laps if you need to sleep, Andie," Sarah suggested.
"Hm? Oh no, I'm fine right now, but I'd love to do so when we get back in here," Andie said with a smile.
"You're very sure we'll come back, huh? That's nice to know," Lily said as she stared out the window.
"That... sounds like you aren't sure yourself, Lily," Mike said as the three looked towards her.
"Oh, I'm sorry if it sounded like I was skeptical. I do agree with her that we will get back. I trust that we'll all make it back safely," Lily said, as she looked towards Luka since she happened to sit behind him while he turned partially towards her.
"I would be quite upset if things didn't go well... and if I had to do something I wouldn't want to do," Lily said, and Luka turned to face her and locked eyes as he said,
"I'm sure we'll all make it out of here and anywhere else we go safely. I give you my word and base it on this mission. If it doesn't work out, then I grant you permission to end me."
The others in the car, as well as the animatronics in the back of the truck instantly grew attentive to the tension that spiked suddenly from that last sentence. Lily and Luka stared a little longer until Lily murmured, "Very well."
The two cut their gazes from one another and relaxed in their seats, as everyone else besides Ethan grew concerned.
"Umm uhh, surely it won't lead to that... right? You've been honest with us, right Luka? And I'm positive everything will go smoothly! So you won't have to worry, Lily," Andie reassured.
"I do hope so, Andie," Lily said with a smile towards her as she loaded her magnum.
Andie leaned back a little from Lily in surprise, as Mike's eyes went wide as did Sarah's eyes. The other animatronics were a bit alarmed, while Freddy smirked.
Inside a factory basement:
"Check one. Check two. Check three... Alright, it's all green here," Lab coat man one said.
"All green on my end," Lab coat man two said.
"Alright guys... this time. This time! This will be successful! Completely successful!" Lab coat woman said.
The three scientists each activated their levers and switches from the observation booth they were in, observing the experiment through the bulletproof glass that stood in the center of the large room they were looking at. There were stairs just beyond the two doors on the sides that lead into the experiment room. There were tracks with one in the middle in a circle and one linear track on the right and left sides of the walls. On the tracks were upright tables separated a few feet from one another with animatronics strapped on a few of them. There were other mechanical bits and machines whirling as they functioned, along with mechanical arms that reached down from the ceiling to the center experiment along with random cables hanging low. The main experiment was in the center and facing the observation booth, and after a surge of electricity and various sounds had no effect on it, the scientists were overjoyed as they flipped a switch that flipped over a cover that hung from the back of the tables over it.
"Perfect! Just perfect! It works so well and it's defenses are supreme! Best of our high tech technology! I'm so happy! We can finally show the boss our progress is a success!" The lady scientist said as the experiment was sent down through the floor in a shoot.
"Phew. I was a bit worried there. At least the boss will be pleased with us," Scientist guy one said.
"Yeah... but let's hope the next one works. We needed to make a few," Scientist guy two said, as the center track turned and faced the next experiment towards them.
"This one was quite stubborn, but let's see if our progress fixed that," The lady scientist said, as the three recreated the same scenario and test on the next experiment.
"Ha! Hahaha! We did it! Ralphis! Zephin! We really did it!" The lady clapped and bounced happily.
"Ooooohhh! Finally! It's done! We can keep our jobs!" Labcoat one, Ralphis, said as he fell on his knees with his arms up in the air and his gelled, spikey blonde hair waving up with him.
"And keep our lives! Which is pretty important, you know! Pheeeew... good job, Ralphis, Luannie," Labcoat two, Zephin, said as he gave a thumbs up to his colleagues.
"Now all we have to do is finish the others and send this set next," The lady scientist, Luannie, said as she was about to flip a switch.
"WAIT! We have to fully test this one, it was marked as red zone," Ralphis said as he grabbed her hand and also pushed his glasses up on thr bridge of his nose
"Gasp! That's right! This one gave quite the trouble before!" Luannie said as the three scientists headed out to the experiment room.
They walked over to the experiment, as they examine it.
"... So who's going in?" Zephin asked.
"Come on, Luannie. Go ahead," Ralphis said.
"Huh?! Me?!" Luannie asked in a panic.
"Well this suit in particular is better suited for you. I'm... too short," Zephin said as he pushed his glasses up and looked away.
"And I'm just, you know, too buff," Ralphis said as he posed with his muscular arms, while the other two glared at him.
"Well! Umm... I guess. But I'm scared though!" Luannie admitted while sheepishly rubbing the back of her head and adjusting her glasses.
"Come on Lu! We'll be right here watching over you. If anything happens, we'll just use the kill switch," Ralphis encouraged with a shrug.
"Though hopefully it won't lead to that or we'll have to start over... and surely the boss wouldn't like that... we're on thin ice already," Zephin said as he brush his hand through his black and grey hair that was brushed over from numerous time of rubbing his head.
"I don't feel any better! But we..." Luannie paused as she brushed her hand over her ear to move her long straight black hair from it.
"What's u-" Ralphis was shushed by Luannie, as she listened a moment longer.
"Someone is here... no, not someone... multiple!" Luannie yelled out, as the two other labcoats instantly became alarmed.
"Back up! Back up!" Ralphis yelled out as they ran up the stairs to head back into the observation booth.
They blocked the doors as they ran around the room in a frenzied alert, and then Zephin sat in front of the camera monitors
on the left side of the room, while Luannie accessed the right camera monitors. Ralphis stood watching the experiments in front of the control panels below the large window as he put the covers for each table over the animatronic test subjects. The three of them observed carefully each of their stations, but grew more nervous when they saw nothing was happening. To the three scientists, the silence was too much and made them more anxious.
Luannie glanced at each screen, and her eyes fell on the one that showed just outside the third door that was the exit. She saw the bottom half of two figures since the light mostly showed the floor, but she recognized it as two humans: one with a shotgun and the other with a handgun.
"Eeeekkk! They have guns! They have GUNS!" Luannie panicked as her hair frizzed out, while her two companions went pale.
Zephin looked back on his screens as two turned black, and then clicked back on revealing two sets of darkened eyes with glowing pupils.
"They're in the veeeeeents!" Zephin hollered as he slammed his hands on two switches to lock the vents.
"Oh my goodness, they're everywhere, every-darn-where! Are we being surrounded?! Is it that group we heard of?! How did they kn- Ahh! They're in the lab!" Ralphis yelled as his hands pressed on the glass along with his face when he noticed five figures in the lab.
"What is happening?! Who are they?!" Luannie rushed over to the window.
"The lock!" Ralphis panicked as he heard the door behind them creak, and he pulled over a chair and stuck it on the door to hold it shut.
"Hey, guys. Sorry to trouble you when you're working. We just wanted to talk," Luka, who was in the lab with Ethan, Lily, Freddy, and Foxy, said as he pulled down his hood and put his hand in his jacket pocket.
"Gasp! Luka! What is going on?! Why are you giving us heart attacks?!" Luannie yelled out while holding her hand on the mic button.
"What the heck, dude?! Is this a coop or something?! You could have just called!" Zephin yelled out.
"Yeah, sorry Luannie, Zephin, Ralphis," Luka said with a sheepish smile.
"I don't accept your apology until my heart rate goes down!" Ralphis yelled out, causing Luka to snicker.
"Wait. Luka, what are you doing here? If your uncle catches you, you'll be in for it!" Luannie asked, as Lily and Ethan looked towards one another.
"I'm here on my own business with my new companions. I need some information... and for you guys to take your vacation for a while. You've been putting it off, so I figured you guys needed time off," Luka replied.
"... Weeell, yes we have. We've been trying to finish this last project and then head o- waaaait, what information?" Luannie asked, and Luka signed.
"I have a few contracts I need to find, and a certain blueprint you guys have," Luka replied, as the three scientists gasped dramatically.
"Whaaaaat?! What blueprint?! There's no blueprints here!" Luannie yelled out, her hair frizzing more.
"Yeah! And even if we had them, we wouldn't be allowed to share them with anyone! Not even you, Luka..." Zephin said, as his tone lowered.
"And we also don't know your companions either! Our hands are tied! You know the rules... We all do," Ralphis said in a more sadder tone.
"But you know me. You know I have good intentions, and do the best I can to do the right thing. Even if I have to risk it all, I'm more then ready to take it. If you don't want to, that's your choice, and I'll respect it... so respect mine, and please help me," Luka said.
A silence followed, and they heard the three scientists sniffling as Luannie spoke, "Luka... it's not like we wouldn't help you in a heartbeat, but... The contract punishes all three of us if we break it and whoever we shared the info with... Please, Luka... we don't want anyone to die. Just... please go."
Lily felt a little sympathy for the three lab coats, as did Ethan but he wouldn't show it. Luka pulled his hand out of his pocket with his phone as he brought it up to his ear,
"You heard them, right? They're plenty loyal aren't they in not breaking their contract all this time, even to me..."
"W-What... who are you... y-you had someone else listening?!" Luannie panicked.
Luka continued his call, "So what'll it be...? Yeah... alright, thank you, Megan."
Upon hearing the name, Lily and Freddy's eyes widened as they glanced towards one another. Luka took his phone and hit speaker as he aimed it towards the lab coats.
"I'm oping out that contract on you three immediately, on the condition you complete the last testing phase and send the results. Then you'll be free to go," the voice on the phone said, sounding as a monotone lady's voice, which Lily and Freddy listened to very keenly.
"..." the labcoats were silent.
"... Did you guys hear me? Was I not loud enough?" She asked.
"Oh yes! Yes, indeed we heard you, Ms. Inesa! We won't let you down! We'll send you the results immediately!" Luannie said excitedly as she saluted.
"Very good. Goodbye for now, and have a nice vacation," Megan said, and the clicking sound indicated that she hung as Luka put his phone away.
"Luka you beautiful blonde man's man! We are in your debt!" Ralphis shouted.
"You sly son of a gun! Now we owe you, man!" Zephin cried out.
"We love you forever, Lukaaaa!" Luannie swooned.
Luka rubbed the back of his head bashfully, and the side door opened as Luannie carefully stepped out,
"Th-Though there is still the situation regarding our tests that we need to complete first. S-So we just need to finish that."
"Alright, we can wait for that," Luka said.
"The condition is the problem because we can still be considered under contract... unless you are classified as our a-assistants! It makes sense the animatronics here but the other two would be the problem in the report," Luannie said as she pointed to Ethan and Lily.
"Right... and not including them would be worse," Luka said.
"Well I'm good with tech so maybe you just needed a second opinion?" Ethan suggested.
"And I'm an engineer, so that may prove useful," Lily added.
"Hmm it would, though Zephin is our engineer so it will be odd to have two..." Luannie said as Zephin pushed passed her and screamed,
"WAIT! YOU!"
Zephin pointed at Lily as she was a confused while Ethan grew defensive,
"Hey HEY! What the heck dude?"
"AAH! Sorry Sorry! I got excited is all!" Zephin said as he backed away.
"What is it, Zephin?" Luannie asked.
"Remember? We needed someone to test the experiment! Maybe she can do it! She'd be perfect!" Zephin said as Luannie's eyes brightened.
"Hooold up! I'm not having you guys use my sister for an experiment!" Ethan shouted as the two grew nervous.
"We need someone to do it! We have to file the report! And lying is prohibited!" Ralphis yelled out from in the room.
"Do it yourself! I'm not risking my sibling!" Ethan responded.
"We can't risk Luannie either!" Zephin replied while grabbing the railing with both hands.
As they spat back and forth, Lily looked around the room and noticed the center stand that held a covered upright table.
"... What's the test?" Lily asked, interrupting the argument.
"Lily no! Im not letting you partake in anything!" Ethan said.
"Ethan, it's okay. Let's hear what the experiment is first," Lily suggested, and although Ethan was still skeptical he sighed and agreed.
"Well! Let me explain then! You see we were given the task to upgrade some old blueprints from past failed experiments of old suits, so we've been conducting them for a while and used our better tech to make new ones! The higher ups really were looking forward to our results! Now, these suits used to have two functions of acting as an animatronic and a suit for a human to put on and wear! It was a duo use thing," Luannie explained, and Freddy and Foxy stiffened.
"Yeah, now thinking about it... it was kind of odd to have an animatronic act as a suit and animatronic. And like even if they wanted to be cheap they weren't actually being cheap since those kinds of suit cost a great amount, but anyway! Continue Luannie," Zephin said, and she nodded.
"Right! So we made new versions! And we even changed the name too! Instead of springtrap, we call them springbounds!" Luannie said.
"Hmm, springbounds... so a person can wear it and it can move on it's own. I assume it's in there?" Lily asked as she pointed at the covered table.
"Oh yes! That is one of them! We sent some to the higher ups already but this is the last one we had to test! Let me show you!" Luannie said as she rushed in and pulled a lever.
