Sabdol916::I think it's a really interesting concept though my suggestion is that you show Emilia's character being different then canon's version to help distinct and too show how Emilia personality has developed since becoming a royal knight for example her being less of an airhead and more aware and better at physical combat. And hopefully we get to see in the future backstories on how she became a knight and the struggle she went though. I fully commend you for making this story and I'm ver excited to see where this story goes good luck my friend.:
Ahh yes, You sir made my day! and don't worry she will be different and a lot stronger than her canon counterpart. Emilia is kinda in arc one like a kid with a gun sure it's powerful but the kid has no real idea how to use it. Unlike this Emilia that got this time knight training. I mean just look in frozen bonds the movie Emilia catches a crossbow bolt with her bare hands from like 25M which moves around 85-100 meters per second and she barely cared those reflexes are no joke I tell you.
As for backstory maybe I will write a full-on backstory for her later but right now it's not on my to-do list. But who knows maybe in the future I do it

Subaru was in absolute aww about this what he only could describe as a goddess of beauty. Her long silver hair was glistering in the sunlight and her amethyst eyes looked like they were literal small stars in them. that glister in the sunlight. "Subaru are you ok?" Emilia asked, concerned he had been just staring at her for 5 minutes and said nothing and this got her worried she might have scared him.
Subaru snapped back to reality "Emilia that is a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" said with a beaming smile on his face. "Subaru, stop teasing me. I am not beautiful" Emilia said with a punting face.
"By the way, Emilia, why did you come to this particular alleyway? you kinda didn't know I was here in the first place," asked Subaru who was curiously why this random knight ended up just here maybe she was the one that summoned him to this world. Subaru prayed to whatever god that ruled this world that was the case. Emilia's eyes widened "ohh I am such a dunderhead," Emilia said remembering why in the first why she got here. "Who says dunderhead in this day and age? '' Subaru said jokingly. "Subaru stop testing me, this is very serious!" Emilia spoke in a very distressed tone.
"Alright alright mind telling me what happened I might be able to help you," Subaru said with a more serious tone this time but still enjoying having fun with this cute knightess. Emilia seemed to be contemplating if she should tell him or not. "It's fine Lia you can tell him I don't sense any bad intentions from him so you can tell him." Puck said, floating back to his contractor.
Emilia reluctantly told Subaru. " I got a very imported insignia stolen from me and chased the perpetrator. To this alleyway to find you begging robbed by those three thugs from before,"
Emilia explained to Subaru with a bit of embarrassing facial expressions. How could a royal knight lose an insignia to a petty thief? Emilia thought to herself. Meaby the other knights were right about her not being wordy the name of a royal knight. "What would Julies do in this situation," Emilia thought to herself of what her role model would have done if he was here instead of her.
"Hmm, so you're chasing someone that were not those three thugs that were in this alleyway. Meaby it was the girl that came in not long before you came. I asked her if she could help me but she said I am sorry, live strong and then run down the alleyway and jump over that wall. "Subaru said in a thinking manner and pointed down the alleyway. we're at the end of the alleyway a gray brick wall could be seen. Emilia's expression changed to one that looked like she just lost the war. "However I am going to find her now, the thief is long gone," Emilia thought to herself. "Wait, does Subaru know how the thief looked ? Maybe she can ask for his help from him?"
"Emm Subaru do you perhaps you wouldn't know how the thief looked like?" Emilia asked Subaru with a bit of hope in her eyes.
"hmm, she had blond hair, red eyes, and was about the size of a kid. Her clothes were a bit ragged. Maybe you guys have a poor area or something around these parts?" Subaru spoke as he described the girl.
Emilia's worried smile turned it into a beaming smile "Subaru you are a genius!" " I am? Of course I am!" Subaru said not quite sure what he did?
"She will of course go to the slums and try to sell the insignia there. I will be in your debt Subaru," Emilia said still with her beaming smile. "That smile gets 100 points," said Subaru, making a thumbs up and returning with his smile. "alright Subaru this is it I need to go now. Pls, don't wander alone into any more abandoned alleyways if you get attacked again I probably won't be there to help you." Emilia said fast as if she needed to make haste from there.
"Emilia, maybe you should involve the other as well knight's to help you to find that thief. Didn't you say that insignia was important and to find one person alone in a big city sounds very hard to me" Siad Subaru a bit concerned that Emilia was going to entire slums by herself to find that thief?
"Y ya the thing is Subaru the thing is if the other knights figure out that I lost that insignia I might lose my positions so I have to do it alone," Emilia said a bit Embarrassed.
"Subaru I am going to ask for a favor from you not to tell the other knights about this pretty, please," said Emilia, bowing her head towards Subaru.
Subaru looked a bit astonished at Emilia and chuckled a bit.
Emilia locked up looking more like a tomato with pouting expressions.
"Ah it's fine Emilia you can drop the formalities, never have been a fan of dose but your secret's safe with me. Said Subaru making a zip tie gesture to his mouth and throwing away the key.
Emilia gave a heartwarming smile, said thank you and left the alleyway with hast.
As Emilia left the alleyway leaving Subaru behind. Subaru started to feel strange for some reason he really wanted to go after Emilia but why? "Come on Subaru, are you a little too old for a school Crush," he said to himself. But suddenly everything turned black.
Subaru was standing in what seemed like a goods shop with all kinds of things. It was dark, very dark. "but the sun was just out a moment before" Subaru mumbled to himself. As Subaru was walking around the goods house this very dark good's house. He steps on some wet under his sneakers making a splash sound. He starts to look around then sees what he thinks are 2 people lying on the ground. Where the moonlight shines on the 2 of the people laying on the floor. One looks familiar she looks exactly like Emilia. But she has different clothes from before this time. They are more revealing than her knight attire Subaru saw before this one had a short skirt and a white a and purple color scheme. The end of the rob sleeves was a golden yellow bird. She was holding someone's hand. Subaru didn't like this on a bit this felt familiar but he don't know why. He got goosebumps all over and his inner voice was telling him to get out there as fast as he could. But Subaru's curiosity he had to know what was going on here. Subaru saw that this person was where the same tracksuit as him. Subaru now really got a bad feeling about this. this person also had raven hair just like Subaru. But Subaru couldn't see their face sense they were laying on the stomach
Subaru keel down and take on the shoulder of the man and turn him around and this was his mistake... He saw him but this one had face expression that had seen hell itself whatever had to happen to this Subaru had not been pleasant. What was more disturbing was that his intestines were outside the body on the floor. Subaru jumps back in fright "W-what why I em there?! I am dead why is Emilia next to me?!" Subaru was hyperventilating. Subaru sensed a sharp pain in his chest and it went dark yet again.
Subaru open his eyes and was back again in the abandoned alleyway. With his plastic bag next to him with groceries still inside the bag. He was breathing heavily and had chest pain around where his heart should be. One second he was fin and in a literal blink of his eye, he felt like he had run a Marathon and now had chest pains. But the feeling to go after Emilia got a lot stronger. "Fine, I guess I'll go after her!" Subaru shouted with his arms waving up and down in the air. As he went he still felt he was forgetting something but concluded that if it was impotent he remember it later.

Subaru ran out the alleyway that was meant with the fruit marketplace outside. The sun was up and shining in the sky judging from its position it's around afternoon Subaru concluded.
There were a lot of people in the market area, humans and demi-humans. Subaru started to scour the road for Emilia which he found very quickly.
Since it had only been a minute since she left. But she seemed to be helping a child? Subaru couldn't tell since the child seemed terrified and crying its eyes out. If Emilia was helping this child it was going not very well Subaru decide to give a helping hand.
"It's alright illite girl I am here to help you tell me what is wrong?" Emilia said, trying to calm down the crying girl. The girl in question had green short hair going down to her shoulders. She had a pink dress that went all the way down to her knees. She had sky-blue eyes. But the girl did not calm down.
"wahh wahh I want to mama to get me!'' The girl cried, seemingly not hearing what Emilia was saying to her.
"Emilia!" Subaru shouted down the road. Emilia stopped her attempt trying to calm down the crying girl. "Subaru?" Said Emilia confused "You haven't already got yourself in trouble, have you? It's only been a minute since I left you." Emilia asks, a bit shook as if that was the case.
"No, what do think of me?!" Subaru spoke in a loud annoyed tone. "Then what is it? I can't spend a lot more time with you." Emilia wanted to make this quick so she could help this little girl. "you want some help with her '' Subaru said with a small smile hinting at the small girl. "Subaru I'm already in your debt. I can't possibly ask for your help more," Emilia stated as a matter of fact.
"Alright, then I do it at least see ahh yes one good deed per day." Subaru also stated back as a matter of fact. "Subaru you are someone, that wastes their life away" Emilia giggled. "says the one trying to help this little girl," Subaru said, smirking back at Emilia.
"A knight has to help all citizens when they need help," Emila said back with a pouting face. "Alright alright, miss knight watch and learn," said Subaru and took out a small copper coin from his pocket.
"Alright, illite girl here I have a coin as you can see," said Subaru. Holding a small copper coin in front of the small girl. She stops crying and is a bit curious. What this meaned eyed man wants to do with this coin he's holding. "pay close attention to the coin illite girl" Subaru closes his hand with his copper coin and shakes his hand.
"Now I will open the hand and the coin will still be there right?" Well wrong" Subaru opened his hand and the coin was gone. " The small girl's eyes widened and this mean-eyed mister just did magic. Completely forgot why she was crying before. Emilia was amassed at first but notes the coin got slid down Subaru's right sleeve.
But didn't say anything not wanting to ruin it for him and the small girl. "Subaru must re~ely good with kids" Emilia concluded with a smile on her face.
"And what is behind your ear?" Subaru asked the child. The child was not sure what he was referring to. "What do you mean behind my ear," the child asks? "This" Subaru reaches behind the child's ear. And lo and behold the copper coin was behind her ear. The child was astonished by this "how did you do that mister?" The child asked Subaru.
"A magician never reveals his secrets," Told Subaru to the child Who still trying to figure how he did it. "You can keep that coin but remember it's valuable". Told Subaru the child with smile and thumbs up to them the child giggled. "You are funny mean eyed mister AH AH AH" the child was laughing. "Alright Emilia you can take over now the child is calm now... Emilia?"
Emilia had been watching Subaru entertain the child and seemed to be lost in the moment. "Emilia hello the world to Emilia you ok?"
Subaru asked the Knightess again. "ah yes Subaru" Emilia snapped back to reality "you wanna do your job?" Subaru asked Emilia who seemed to be a bit hard to get a grip on the moment. "A Right" Emilia said and kneel down and outstretched her hand to the child. "Hello, my name is Emilia, a royal Knight. What is your name?
"Emilia asked that giving her a heart warming smile trying to be as friendly as possible to the child give a sense of security. The child in question was reluctant at first but answered. '' M-my is Plum nice to meet you" Plum was the small girl's name. Plum was stuttering and seemed to be wary of Emilia.
Subaru decided to step in again. " It's alright plum she is just trying to help you" Subaru also kneels down to be on the same eye level as the child.
Pulm seemed to be more confident now and told Emilia what had happened. " Plum, do you know what your parents' names are or where they work?" Emilia asked Plum. "their name is mama and papa" plum answered. Subaru facepalm himself and Emilia Giggle thinking Plum was adorable. " I Know papa work in one of the fruit stands and sells appas.
"Can you describe what your papa looks like?" Emilia asks Plum. Plum thinks for a bit. "He is big and has green hair and has two scars on his face but he didn't tell me where he got them."
Pulm answered Emilia.
Emilia was thinking about if she recognized anyone that looks like that. but Subaru already beat her to the punch. "Emilia I might know where plums dad is" Emilia's eyes widen. "Subaru didn't you say you were new here and lost? Emilia asks back to Subaru. "Well, I did wander around a little bit around the town and stumbled on a man in the fruit stand area. That was kinda mean to me when I didn't buy anything. And said you are scaring way, my customers." Subaru answered Emilia who seemed to be contemplating with his answer.
But plums eyes widen and giggled." That sounds just like my papa he can be mean sometimes but he is really nice." Plum said with a small smile on her face. "Well Subaru led the way," Emilia told Subaru who only smiled back.
10 minutes later what seemed like aimless walking. But Subaru saw the familiar face he saw before of the green hair appa merchant. "Hello, there long time no see mister!" The merchant just looks up and sighs. "I told you I don't have time for broke customers. Wasting my time and scaring away my very loyal customers'' the green-haired man sighs again loudly. " Heh you are right I am still broken beyond compare but that is not why I am here." Subaru gestured towards the little girl with green hair next to him.
"Hey, what are you doing with my pressure daughter?!" now the angry green hair merchant shouted towards Subaru in a threatening manner.
"Papa Don't be mean towards the nice magic man!" Plum said seeing her pappa was going to do something he regret later.
Emilia steps in seeing that the situation is turning bad very fast.
"Sir I beg you to calm down and just listen we found your daughter lost in the market area. After calming her down she told us you were a fruit merchant that's work around here and this young man helped identify you from her description." Emilia informs the fruit merchant, calming him down.
"Ah, I see sorry kiddo you know how parents are with their kids." The merchant said feeling a bit ashamed of himself for jumping to a conclusion too fast.
"There is no worry man you just were worried for your daughter. So I take no ill from it," Subaru assured the merchant.
"Still maybe there is a way to pay you back?" The green-haired merchant asked Subaru.
"Well, there is one thing you can do. This young beautiful lady. Is searching for a young small girl that is a thief with blond hair and red eyes any bells ringing to you?" Subaru as he is pointing at Emilia and explains to the fruit merchant.
"Well, it does remind me of Felt. A young girl that lives in the slums that have been stealing from folks around here."
Emilia immediately picks up on it and very close attention now.
"Kind sir, do you have any more info about this girl?"
The merchant seemed to be a bit reluctant to give out this information, but they did help his daughter out soo...
"Well, I heard she does sell stuff in loot house around the slum area so my best bet is trying there.
"Anything else?"
"no"
Emilia was ecstatic she got a lead. Where to find the little thief now maybe everything wasn't lost.
" I thank you kindly, my good sir, for this information. Subaru pls don't get into any more trouble and take care" Emilia left in a hurry.
Subaru seemed to have a connection problem since it took him some time to register what had just happened. That the young knightess just left him in a hurry.
"Ahh come on not again!" Subaru shouted.
The merchant laughed, "Well kid, it seems your friend left you, maybe you should hurry after her?" Subaru Snapped back and smiled at the merchant, gave thumbs up and left. But promised to come back when he had money to buy appas.
Subaru ran down the crowded fruit marketplace looking for the beautiful knightess.
"dame why does she have to be so fast at this rate I am goi- OW!"
Subaru bumped into someone and fell backwards.
"OW oh I am so sorry I was in a hurry and didn't see you," Subaru said to the individual.
"There is no problem, citizens. I should have been more careful," said the Individual. Subaru looked up and saw a young man with red hair and sky-blue eyes and a sword strapped to his hip. He was wearing similar clothes to what Emilia had that were just White and had purple lines going around the uniform. also had some kind of weird emblem on his right shoulder. He screamed of perfection.
"ahhhhh '' Subaru is currently registering what is before him he looks like a knight maybe he can help me find Emilia? Subaru stood up and dust off his clothes.
"Again sorry I bumped into you but I have a question, are you knight you kinda look like one?"
The handsome young man is looking at Subaru from top to bottom as if he is analyzing him.
"Ah sorry yes indeed I am knight, is there something you need help with..."
"Subaru Natsuki, you can call me Subaru. What is your name, sir knight?" Subaru said, giving a smile to the man and Stretching out his hand to the young man.
The young man was staring at Subaru almost in shock at what was going on.
"Ah sorry I am not quite used to this my name is Reinhard van Astrea royal, Knight. And current sword saint Nice to meet you Subaru." Reinhard said, taking Subaru's hand and shaking it, and smiling back.
"Wow, that is a long name and title you got there just cruise what does sword saint mean?"
Rainhard taking it back from this someone that doesn't know what the sword saint is, maybe Subaru is a foreigner. His clothes and hair does suggest that but Reinhard can't tell where Subaru is from and his cloth locks outwardly to him. Never Quite seen anything like that.
"The sword saint is the one that has the divine protection of the sword saint."
"Cool so you are good With like swords or something like that?"
"In a sense, you could say that," Reinhard said, still observing Subaru trying to figure out where he is from.
"Sorry to ask this Subaru but where are you from? Your current lack of knowledge and strange clothes suggest you are a foreigner to Lugnica.
Subaru taking a look that himself yes with a 21str century tracksuit he really looks really out of place. And his lack of probably basic common knowledge is probably also a giveaway.
"Well I come from a small Island nation so far east you never will find it," Subaru said and gave a smile to Rainhard while rubbing the back of his head with his hand awkwardly.
Reinhard couldn't quite believe that the wind of untruth was not blowing from him. So he is telling the truth interestingly but no time for that Subaru asked for his help. And Reinhard bothered him by asking useless questions. Where he is from Truly slothful of him.
"Subaru you said you needed help with something as long it is within my power I help you"
"Ah yes I was searching for a beautiful Kinghess that had lost something," Subaru told Reinhard. Reinhard was thinking for a bit but the information. Reinhard got from Subaru was not the best you could say.
"Hmm, you know this Kinghtness name perhaps? Rainhard asked Subaru.
"Her name is Emilia she called herself the Frozen knight. Meaby you have heard of her sense yourself are a knight? Subaru said to Reinhard hoping to maybe know anything about this beautiful beauty.
And just like that, it clicked for Reinhard. "Yes, of course, I know Miss Emilia got knighted not too long ago." says Reinhard thinking back on the knighting of Emilia. "Sadly not too many attended the ceremony because of her heritage. But from what I can tell she definitely deserves the rank of Royal Knight." Said, Reinhard giving a small smile to Subaru. " Do you perhaps know Miss Emilia Subaru?" Asked Reinhard Subaru, a bit surprised he talked about Emilia in a good light. Since most people would discriminate against her. Because of her unfortunate resemblance to the Witch of envy.
"Ya, she helped me in an alleyway not too long ago. When I was being robbed by some thugs she came and stopped them. Then she healed and helped me get my bearings back. She said she was in a hurry cause she said she had lost an importing In.. Never mind that nothing important yep!" Subaru said now sweating bullets he almost broke his promise to Emilia but he thinks he saved it. Even if just barely.
Reinhard picked it up and narrowed his eyes for just a second but quickly dropped it and returned to his normal expression.
"Anyways Reinhard do you know where the Slums is by any chance?" Subaru said, trying to quickly move to something else.
Reinhard, still trying to figure out what important time Emilia possibly could have lost, came to a grinding halt when Subaru asked you for directions.
"Just keep heading down this road until you meet a river then head left then take the first bridge over and you should be at the slums."
"Subaru quickly thanked Reinhard and hurried down the road.
Reinhard is still trying to figure out what important item Emilia could lose; she couldn't possibly lose the royal insignia, could she?
"Maybe I should take a stroll to the slums today." Reinhard thought to himself.
He just couldn't get a break, could he?
